• I get an error code of the 57th. Can anyone help me regarding updates that don't download not?

  I'm trying to download the updates of windows, but some of them don't download and all I get is an error code of the 57th. Help please?

  How to view the log of update Windows

  Click Start and then click Run.

  In the Open box, type %windir%\windowsupdate.log

  and then click OK.

  Scroll down to the last entries find the error codes associated with the last attempt to download/install.  If the appropriate copy and paste the codes of errors in this thread if someone may be able to help you.  On the other hand, you can find the error code and other suggestions by searching the forum.

  Also check the Windows file called Ko folder * .log (* = number of update KB896688 ie) and send the contents of the update has failed.

  This may even provide clues as to why the update failed.

• Windows Update for Vista family 32-bit premium does not update all. 57th error and sku011.cab for office 2003. Malicious tool not updated. Stays on the list was updated even after having managed States.

  Office 2003 sp3 do not install in windows update. It is a 108.2 MB file, no kb #. Under 2 other 2003 office updates. KB977713 for office outlook and for office 2003 update kb907417. 57F error message comes out after having failed in windows update. Sku011.cab missing error comes just after process fails at the end of the attempt to update for the updated 2003 3 office. Tool kb890830 in windows update to install malicious but indicates successful when finished. Returns to windows update to install. All other above mentioned updates show missed.

  The malicious software removal tool does not use an installer. As a general rule, when you run the malicious software removal tool, it creates a temporary directory named at random on the root of the drive of the computer. This directory contains several files, and it includes the Mrtstub.exe file. Most of the time, this folder is automatically deleted after the tool to the end of execution or the next time that you start the computer. However, this folder may not always be automatically deleted. In these cases, you can manually delete this file, and this has no adverse effect on the computer.

  Is - it only update fails? Have you tried to install it manually and not by the automatic updates? If this isn't the case, at the end of the update, there should be a number search, KBXXXXX for this update at the Microsoft Web site for a manual download. I provide the link, but I don't know what number of KB is a failure for you.

  Can you copy the last 50 lines or so of your windowsupdate.log and paste it here in the forum?

  Since last summer when I get updates, they failed because of an error of 57F.  I couldn't understand why so I looked on google and found some information, but nothing has worked.  I can't find anyone who knows how to fix.  And a lot of people were not able to be.

• HP Jet 7 - GPS Bluetooth device?

  I have an old Holux M-1000 I try pair-to-use with my 7 stream.

  Pairs of unit very well, but then disconnects.  If I understand correctly, this is a 'new' of Windows 8 x / 10 x.  And until some programs wakes location services, you cannot connect.  Anyway, there is a blog entry to this on the subject:

  Allegedly, he makes the GPS device available through some internal changes.  And it is supposed to work with Win 8.1.

  The blog is one notes, however, that this may not work with devices Atom - whose stream 7A.

  Someone has any ideas here what to do - or other success?  It would be nice to resurrect this older with steam 7 GPS device, as the S7 has no internal GPS.

  Please, give him another chance & perform the procedure below

  Diagnosis: The permissions were incorrect for some registry keys.

  Considerations: I've used this for Vista Ultimate SP1 and Office 2003 SP3. A similar procedure may work for other versions of office and Windows, I don't know.

  You need to be reasonably computer or ask someone who is. You will need the installation of office files.

  Important note: you should back up your registry and store the backup in a sensitive dossier (see procedure below). You can also create a system restore, just in case. Not sure what anyone in this note? for example the registry editor, permissions, System Restore, registry keys etc change? Check the Microsoft Knowledge base. (I can not take any responsibility on the problems caused by your use of this procedure. I can say only this worked for me!)

  FIX: You * may * be able to use to Repair Office 2003 to identify the keys to the problem and then use the Registry Editor to change the relevant key permissions:

  1. connect to your computer as an administrator (if you can install programs, it is likely that you are an admin).

  2. run the Registry Editor (Start > run and run regedit).

  3. in the registry from backup of your registry Editor (select the top node of the computer, and then click file > export, save the file somewhere sensitive.). (Do not close the registry editor, yet).

  4. run a repair for Office 2003 (see relevant Microsoft KB).

  5. When you get an error in the repair process using the registry editor, find the EXACT registry key named on the command prompt (using the easy to find, Ctrl + F4 and F3 to repeat).

  6. right click on the key and select permissions on the shortcut menu.

  7 set the user groups to enable total control and reading (click OK to save the changes).

  DO NOT CHANGE A KEY UNLESS IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN THE REPAIR LINE.

  8. in repair, click the Retry button.

  9. If the error prompt is replaced by another invite for a different key then the fix worked. Repeat step 5 above for the new registry key.

  10. If the error reoccurs prompt then repeat step 6, but assign another likely group of total control, for example the system.

  11 when all the keys have been updated and the repair finishes and then close the registry editor, then try Windows Update again.

  12. If this does not correct the problem, then you must restore your backup registry file.

  PostScript: If you experience system problems after that you can restore the registry by double-clicking the registry file that you saved. If you can not do a repair of Office or run the registry editor, then you may not be an administrator.

  Since June 11 3 updates of MS - Office Outlook KB 970011, MS Word KB 969603 & MS Excel KB969681 failed to install. The error code is 57th
  This happens every time the pc is switched on/off.
