5s with 9.3 ios iPhone battery drain

My iphone worked perfectly with ios 9.1 until I moved to ios 9.2. Serious battery drain, using snapchat, youtube or even camera for 2-3 minutes and fully charged battery goes to 1%. Then the phone stops. Connect the charger when the battery is about 10% and immediately goes to 70%. My phone is destroyed. All tried, downgrade to 9.1 and 9.3 will now. My phone is getting worse. I can not even use my phone to work like that. Help, please

Try a reset in now the power and Home keys pressed until the Apple logo. If this does not help, bring in test/diagnosis.

  • iPhone battery drain 7

    Hello

I recently purchased iPhone 7 and Setup with iOS 10.0.1, restore my Apple ID using laptop from an iPhone 6 who was also running iOS 10.0.1.

Since 3 days my battery iPhone 7 has been draining very quickly which means I'll have to charge my phone at least twice a day and I use the phone very sparingly. My behaviors have not changed since Iphone 6 (if anything I use applications less due to low battery), but I find the autonomy of the phone to be much worse than my previous iPhone and is not acceptable.

I don't use battery applications much like music or Pokémon go etc and my % battery drain for the last 4 days has been Twitter to 27% then Mail to 16%. I have location services on for applications using, but like I said that my general behavior has not changed since the iPhone 6 and im finding the 7 to be draining very quickly. It seems also charge less quickly as well.

Any advice would be appreciated. I am sure that I don't need to execute the ideas that the call center keep advising me to save the battery.

    Thank you

    Hello almondo9,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how important it is to keep your device running properly, and I want to help you in your battery life. If you have not done so already it's always a God idea to restart your phone after an update. If you already have and the battery is still going down fairly quickly I would recommend reset settings on your iPhone.

This will not remove anything from your phone. all apps, music and contacts will be safe. You can always save your settings in iTunes or iCloud data before doing this reset. This link will guide you through backup if you choose to do: How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

What this does is actually reset some of your settings to factory default. This removes all data and applications, photos or contacts, but it removes all of your preferences for the Wi - Fi, Bluetooth, do not disturb, Notifications, general, sounds, contact ID, brightness & wallpaper and privacy, so we will have to define these things upwards after this reset.

Do this please go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

If the behaviour continues or if you encounter difficulties, the entire community is here to help.
    Best regards

  • iOS 10 battery drain

Does anyone else have trouble with the life of the battery with iOS 10?

I have a 5 c and I charge my iphone once per day if that.  Now its hollow when I get up morning so I charge it at work and also I have to recharge at night.

I need this so because its not good for the trip. I'm going to Germany to visit family if I go in Brussels, I know that the airport has charging stations.  God forbid if I go to the United States to visit his family.

Bluetooth is disabled. WiFi is on.

is there something I can do? Any advice will be welcome.

    Thanks - danke schön

    Kimla

First, plug in your iPhone, let the screen off and do nothing for a long period of time. Leave it plugged in all night while you sleep is perfect for that.

Then, restart your iPhone by pressing and maintaining the sleep/wake and home buttons.

You can also try following the suggestions of battery life. Go to settings > farm > find 'Suggestions of battery life.

In addition, it is preferable to follow the Apple recommendations given in this article http://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

  • iPhone battery draining fast

My iPhone of 6 battery go down 1% all ~ 15 seconds. After 67% it as abandoned and goes up to 20%. At first, I thought it was the beta, so I restored it to the last public update (10.0.2) I restored my iPhone 2 times now and my battery still drains like crazy. I don't think it's a battery problem because it turns off whenever it wants. I noticed something weird however. Whenever I try to reset soft, a deformed glitchy screen opens before he died. Whenever I do this it changes color (red, gray, green). Please help because it is impossible to use my iPhone for more than 3 hours.

    Hello mannycavs123,

Thank you to raise your iPhone battery here questions in Apple Support communities. I understand how it is important to have the power and portability. I'll be more than happy to offer some things for you to check.

The first thing we want to make sure that all of your data on your device is safe. You can have a backup, but please do a recent experience before you start troubleshooting. You can perform a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article: the backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once you know that your data is safe, I recommend that you check two things that can help extend your battery life. Is first called Wi - Fi help. When you encounter low signal strength time when you are connected to a wireless network, this feature allows your device jumping to the cellular signal so that your data will not be interrupted. With the switching signal, you will use more data, and depending on your cellular signal, it can also use more autonomy. This Help article talks about WiFi help: Help on Wi - Fi. I am personally in a great wireless signal box almost everyday, so I have this setting disabled. It can help to increase the autonomy of the battery you want to do.

The second recommendation, I can offer is to disable any applications using cell phone that you should absolutely not. This Help article discusses this: on the cellular data settings and usage on your iPhone / iPad. For example, I do not personally that I've never used the compass. Disable this access to cell data. Because he needs to send and receive data to keep the data when you open it, this will use the cellular data more. A signal, or whatever it is using cellular data more cost more autonomy. The best part of this is, if I'm in an area without wireless and suddenly need my compass, I can go back to these settings and turn it back on. This is why I personally most of these applications disabled except things like phone, mail, Messages, cards, and everything I need to use on a daily basis, even if I go to a wireless network. This can also increase your battery life.

In addition, you can take a look at what applications use the most out of your battery and adjust its use accordingly.  Take a look at this link for more information:

On the use of the battery on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Thanks again for checking out Apple Support communities and have a great rest of your day.

  • 10 IOS extreme battery drain

    Hello

I need your help to solve my problem of battery.

The first thing you need to know, I was using the beta software to IOS 10 before. After a beta update to my iPhone (2 years old 5s without any problems before) started very quick battery drainage.

Now I use IOS 10.01, but nothing has changed.

To use menu, I don't see what app is drain my battery. What I see is only a maximum of 9 hours standby time with a couple hours of use.

The problem is that my iPhone keeps dripping every time. At first, I saw the problem, I fall aslepp with 100% and woke up to need recharge my iPhone because it is drained in the night (in airplane mode). Since I'm going to turn off my phone for nightly keep the charged battery. For a month, I need to load every day three times with normal use. Before that the problem, he worked for two days on a charge.

Apple support ran diagnostics on it and says that everything is ok with the material. The ability of my battery is always as good as it was before the problem. (96% wear level)

The thing that I tried to solve the problem:

    -force to restart the iPhone

    -Disable location services

    -Turn off Siri

    -Disable background refresh

    -Disable touch ID

    -disconnect from the iCloud

    -restore the iPhone

    -delete all settings and data

-turn off the cell phones, wifi, and bluetooth

    -launch applications from the factory

-set my iPhone as a new (with signed to iCloud, but do not restore from backup)

And I'm not the only one. My brother 6 IPhone is having the same problem after another beta update.

And extra if I force the reboot of my iPhone after a few seconds the screen turning blue.

IF you have any REAL solution, or things that I have not yet tried, please write below.

  • iOS 10 battery draining / overheating

I updated my iPhone 6 64 GB iOS 10 yesterday, today with normal conditions of low use my battery (charged every night) went from 100% to 38% in a little more than 1 hour, I also noticed current usage it becomes very hot, something he has never done under iOS 9, so apart from the positive having now a winter Pocket hot hands instant It will be a useless phone after mid-day, I hope that iOS 10.0.2 out quickly to address this problem, a very disappointed since Mac OS 8.5 Mac user

Have you already tried the usual troubleshooting steps?

Force restart the phone now sleep and home for 10 seconds, button until the Apple logo comes back again. You won't lose data.

In case this does not work, and especially if you updated via Wi - Fi, set it back to factory settings, without using the last backup. Test the phone. If it works, restore the backup.

Use iTunes to restore your device to factory settings - Support Apple iOS

  • iPhone battery drains too fast since the last update! Please fix this

MY battery life drains too fast since the last update. Use to be able to use my phone all day and have more than 50% at the end of day. Now I can't do half a day yet. And that's just since the last update

    Hello JasonV!

I definitely want to get the most out of the battery of my iPhone, considering how much I use and depend on.  We can certainly check a few settings.

First of all, check out this article to see if there are any apps or processes that use more battery than expected: on the use of the battery on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

Then see that all of your settings are configured as this guide recommends: Batteries - maximize Performance - Apple

Once those who are defined, give it a try with the settings and let us know which applications use the most power and the percentage.

    See you soon!

  • IPhone battery draining faster

My iPhone started to drain much faster for some reason any now.  I'll leave it alone all night and see that I now have 35% left.  It used to be in the morning I would see 70 + %.  What is the cause and how to fix it?

    Thank you.

Please read this article for suggestions, including turn off background App update.

    http://www.Apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

Also try to download the app from the battery life which is available for free on the App Store. Check the battery with it and if defective, schedule an appointment in an Apple Store for eventual replacement.

  • IPhone battery drain after fixing accessory fan

I have a version of the iPhone 6 s 9.3.5, 64G, 55.5 GB avail 22.4 GB cap. My battery was fast draining after my friend inserted a fan accessory. There was a time when I slept and it was 100% and when I wake, it fell to 35%, but I turned my phone into airplane mode. I tried to disable notifications, background app refresh, locations, etc. And yet it flows easily. I need to reformat my phone?

View-> battery settings and under "battery use" see what apps consume your battery.

There are very little chance that connect an accessory in the past had any impact on your current battery life, except if it has been broken and ruined your phone somehow. (And I mean hardware, not software)

for the future, make sure you always use MFI (Made for iPhone) certified accessories.

  • New iPhone battery drain fast

I just bought an iPhone brand new SE of Carphone Warehouse UK (boxed, sealed in original box/packagine Apple and retractable. I even checked build date for phone and it was built only 8 weeks, so I know it's brand new) and the battery is not lasting long. I did the usual: let the battery die, then plug in and wait until it is 100% charged to calibrate it. No bluetooth and very few use the matrices of the battery of his own volition after only 26 hours.

With my previous iPhone 5, under the same set of circumstances, it would take 64 to 72 hours to die. The main reason why I bought a new iPhone that is was because my old iPhone 5 was three years old and the battery life is almost exhausted after load/unloaded hundreds of times over three years, at the end of the iPhone 5 battery would die after about 34 hours.

How is it a brand new battery iPhone IS dying faster than an iPhone busy three year 5?

I have only had it a few days, can I get my Apple store to exchange it for another, or I'll have to go to Carphone Warehouse and get them to Exchange?

Or is it no fault at all and SE just terrible the battery last long?

The steps detailed here to try to see if they improve your use of the battery, especially disabling background App refresh:

    http://www.Apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

Also download the autonomy on the App Store application and test your battery with it. If it is damaged the phone must be guaranteed and an Apple Store can check and replace if necessary.

  • iPhone battery drain 6 super fast

I factory reset my phone, does everything that I can find to improve my battery but it just seems to die very quickly. I've had my iPhone for a year and a half and this has only started happening a few weeks ago. So whenever my battery is at 40% and I go on snapchat or so just periscope off saying that my battery is dead. It is constantly jumping. How can I fix it

You should try to update to the latest version of iOS. Make sure you create a backup of your iPhone in iTunes or iCloud before you do that!

  • 5s iPhone battery drain problem

Hello guys, I'm new to the forum and I am looking for a possible answer to my problem:

The problem started a few weeks back, maybe 2 months. I have recharge my phone one day and it was fine until that later in the day, my battery went down so quick unbelievabl, I thought maybe it's just a temporary problem, so I decided to hard reboot my phone, home and button on/standby, of course. I turned it on and the battery percentage was different, and every time that I turned it works again the battery percentage would be different, strange. So I decided to replace the battery (since the phone was bought on eBay, but it was fine until December of may last year). So I replaced the battery but the same thing was going on, and while this has happened my charging port began to act up, although it has not been damaged at all, he would not accept the same lightning ungenuine apple cable. I got 2 of the same ones and one of them could work and the other not. I decided to change the port of loading, which resulted in not accepting any Apple ungenuine cable which forced me to buy an original, and it works very well (but for my friends iPhone 6 the ungenuine work well). In any case to the problem, I replaced the battery still now to a new Apple true battery which the guy assured me was genuine, it was substitute. If the problem persists, last night I left my phone at 70 percent to see if it lasts, and no, there not good that it should be at least 30/40%, yet I remember if I left my phone in the as 90% I could wake up and see it would still look like 75/80%. I tried to restore through iTunes but I have always used my backup to restore what could be the problem, my keychain is off. I have not tried restoring the fees without restore back upward, I would rather ask here because someone may know the answer to that.

PS My phone gets very hot when I charge it and when the 3G, sometimes very hot.

    Thanks in advance.

Phew, eBay phones are difficult because they have this unknown history.  You can have more than one thing going on, so let's try to clear up this problem a little bit and get you some tips.

1 - the battery.  Replacement batteries that do not exist outside of Apple have a very variable quality.  I would be very suspicious of a battery that was sold by someone who claims that he was "authentic Apple" because it is obviously not possible.  People who are not further about this tend to be a bit scammy.

2 - gas gauge problem.   Turn off the phone and see a percentage point of different battery to a gas indicator problem.  This has two causes.  Bad battery and filter missing to the Board of Directors on the measurement of gas line.  Since you have experience gas gauge defect with several batteries (but of questionable quality) your problem may be the filter gas gauge.  This filter is usually damaged or 1 - technician damage (struck off the Board) or 2 - water damage.   Could be the case here.

3 - chip of Tristar problem.  Don't Fake charge, no charge, no usb detection and especially - distress recognizing different usb cables can point to a defect of the Tristar chip on the logic board.  This chip is very sensitive to the use of non-Apple charger.  Your statement "forced me to buy an original cable" would put a Tristar (also known under the name of U2 chip) problem at the top of my list of suspects for this phone.

    4. "old" water damage.  Heat = short in the phone. While a bad Tristar chip may cause the phone to run hot, it is also possible that injury inadequately treated water may be the cause of a partial short circuit in your phone.  A short stop the battery very quickly.

So what to do now?  Your phone has a complex presentation and my advice is that you really need to have seen by someone who is capable of dealing with issues of Board level on iPhones.  Call your local independent repair shops and talk to them.  Find one with good reviews, which will guarantee their work, and who will not charge you to look at this forum.   You need someone who is capable of repair at Council level - aka not the guys at the Mall.

    Good luck!

  • My other friends iPhone battery draining fast. Please give clues of meh

MY battery iPhone friends quickly drains when you watch YouTube videos for 3 to 5 hours. Wasted battery of 10% full. Please give me clues to solve this problem

Well, if you go to settings > battery it will give you information on what use most of your battery. You can always put your phone on 'Low Power Mod' and this will help to keep your battery alive and only the down side of it which is not that big of a problem are that you won't hear when you receive a new email, etc.

And if he is watching videos, so, they had to drain your battery but try and put your brightness and you can also help by watching videos.
