6320 slow ADC read

Hello

I use a PCIe-6320, I'm voting of the ADC, in a very simple while loop.  The time per iteration of the while loop is about 9 milliseconds. While the time interation of the while loop without reading the DAC is 10 microseconds. That's the difference.  Any thoughts, I try to ask about 4 kHz which I think would not be a problem.  BTW, I read only one channel.

Kind regards

Mike

Software, let me give harware timed to try.  Thank you.  It seems so strange that just do a simple reading would take so long.

  • very slow file read/copy of WinXP to Win7

I have two PCs, it is WInXP, one is Win7.  On Win7, I produce read/copy of WinXP to Win7, it is very slow, about 10% of the 100 Mbps network (as indicated by the Task Manager and the status of file copy).  However, if I do the copy of file for WinXP to Win7, it is very fast, about 90% of the 100 Mbps.

It is using windows file sharing.

    Why is this?

Please note that all operations are done on the Win7 PC, I have not tried to do it on PC WinXP again.  There are a few problems with Windows XP, access to the share on the Win7 PC (which can access any other PC Win7).  But it is not so important.

I do regular files between WinXP PC at work, they are typically 50% of 100 Mbps.

    Thank you.

  • Slow performance read/write on iSCSI SAN.

This is a new configuration of ESXi 4.0 running virtual machines off a Cybernetics miSAN D iSCSI SAN.

Having a high data read the test on a virtual machine, it took 8 minutes vs 1.5 minutes the

It's getting a little more than 3 MB/s max in reading, and usage of the disk on the virtual computer is slower 3MB/s...horribly.

    Another vote for IOMeter.

Try to test 32K 100% sequential read (and write) with 64 IOs in circulation, this will give sequential performance.  Should be close to 100 Mbps per active path of GigE, depending on how much the storage system can get out.

Then 32K 0% sequential read (and write) with 64 traffic against a LUN will IOs (say 4 GB +) good test size give a value for IOPS, which is the main factor for virtualization.  Look at the latency, must remain below approximately 50ms usually in order to be able to work if the default 32 IOs in circulation (by host) is OK (say you had six hosts, the table should be able to deliver the random i/o with a latency)<50ms with="" 192="" outstanding="" ios="" (="">

Do not use the "test connect rate" and cela effectively tests only cached flow, which we are not so interested in any case.

  • Playback of a view is much slower than reading the table

    Hello

I use the view in the physical layer. Query from this point of view is quite compilcated. However if I use correct filters the result is very fast (a few seconds)

Responses of dashboard if I put a few columns from this point of view, and use the same filter, to 4 to 5 minutes to get the result. I don't know why the reading of the opinion is so slow on dashboard.

If I create a table based on the view and use this table in the physical layer, then the result is much faster.

    Thank you

    Hello

When the function u view the report in the bi bottom server sends the request to the database (if the cache is disabled).
Come see, you already mentioned this query view is quite complicated, fires every time the query whenever you click on the report and checks all aggregations, the filter conditions, and joins.
come to table, you are calculated and stored, each time that you run the report he just send the query like Select from table *.

for this reason, the data view recovery is slow to table.

    See you soon,.

  • 8451 I2C loop runs slow when reading data

    Hi all

I have searched the boards for a solution to my problem, but have not been able to find an answer.

I have a ST LIS3DH accelerometer connected to the NI USB-8451 using the I2C interface.  I'm just trying to read acceleration data chip and write to a file.  However, despite the fact that I say the loop to run every 1 ms, it seems that the faster, it can perform each read is about 12 ms (which is about 80 Hz).  I'm trying to ultimately collect data at 1000-5000 Hz, which would mean the execution of the loop each 0.2-1 ms.

I'm new to Labview and realize that I might have some inefficiencies in my code.  I don't know if the code optimization will be enough to solve the problem or if Labview or 8451 all simply cannot hold to these speed.

I'm running on the following system

    Windows 7 64 bit

    1st generation core i5

    8 GB RAM

    LabVIEW 2009

    Any idea is apprecieated.

I enclose my vi and the datasheet for the LIS3DH.  Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Very slow ThinkCentre read USB thumbdrive

I'll put up a refurbished computer, will you?  I think that it is the 4th query I posted here in the past few days on various issues I'm having with my ThinkCentre M51 1843 - WNV.  I love these machines.  I was using them in my desk at work for years.  But renovated is not so easily that I expected to be implemented.

Today's question is that I have a USB thumbdrive (Kingston DataTraveler - 4 GB) I have used without problems with my old Office House and my ThinkCentre at work.  But this new ThinkCentre (well, that's new to me...) takes forever to read my USB.  I checked it in my old PC and it read liketty-split so there's something how my new ThinkCentre responds to it.  I tried a SanDisk USB key, and it was read without problem.  I use the USB ports to my printer, scanner and mouse so I think that the USB ports are fine.  Don't you think that it is possible that the PnP simply has not installed correctly when I inserted the Kingston DataTraveler?  It's my best guess.  But if this is the case, does anyone have an idea how to reinstall the driver for the DataTraveler?

    System details:

    win xp pro sp3

    2.5 GB OF RAM DDR

SAPPHIRE HD Radeon ATI 4550 with 512 MB of DDR3 RAM

WD Black Cavier HARD 500 GB drive

I disabled the integrated graphics card mobo and drivers intel after that I installed the new ATI graphics card.

I always use the mobo with soundmax integrated sound card.  I intend to replace it with a card SB X - Fi later this week.

    Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: After playing with him, some more it seems that ThinkCentre reads the thumbdrive very well and then it seems to weigh towards the top/pause no reason apparent almost as if he did not have the resources to carry out the task.  Yet the Office does not anything else at the time (that I can tell).  Very weird...

This must have been related to the PCIe video card and audio integrated, because the problem has disappeared when I disabled the edge sound card and installed an its PCIe card instead.

My TC M51 reads my USB very well now.

  • SSD on MPB early 2011 (13 inches) slow write speed

    Hey all,.

I installed an SSD Crucial of MX300 in my MPB 2011 (13 inches). I get that I have probably will not hit the read/write 510/510, said the player, but right now I get only a writing speed of 240 vs a reading of 470.

Any ideas on why it's so slow?

    Thank you.

What is it connected to internally? If we replace the optical drive, then it may be because it's a 3 Gb/s bus rather than the primary drive SATA 6 GB/s bus connects to.

Do you have your repartition and reformat the SSD drive before using it? It is not unusual to see some write speeds slower than reading speeds. The MX300 is a new economic model that may be slower than expected in real use.

  • Sharing network of Windows 7 64-bit problem: other machines may very well write, but the readings are extremely slow.

I tried to access to the shared both directory a Vista and XP machine via cable connections and wireless to my Win 7 64 bit machine on the part and it is extremely slow to read, but not written.  Not only the directory never takes show all thumbnails, and then open a file that is a couple mb in size as a photo takes more than a minute.  However, if I try to write the same file sharing, it takes only 5 seconds.  This fine all worked until I went from the version release candidate for the final version a few weeks ago.  Shared directories exist on another partition for the relocation does not have their effect.

Maybe it helps diagnose the problem... I just make a copy of a picture of 4 MB on the part of win 7 on my win xp desktop and it took about 1 minute.  I renamed the file on my desktop and tried to write to the share and it took 5 seconds .  Now, it's strange.  So, this is the bed that would take forever.  The Scriptures are fine, which also explains why my nightly backups on the part of win7 are very good.

I have a machine to hit the share by using the name of the computer and the other using the ip address.  Both show the same problem...

I also tried to access files using a mapped network drive.

I can take a 4 MB file and just copy it on my local desktop and it takes about a full minute.  However, written the same file or even another file of the same size as the part only takes about 5 seconds.

I ran the Windows 7 network troublshooter last night and used the troubleshooter for incoming connections and he says that it found a problem but that he could not fix and he really had nothing to help me.  But I think he sent the information in Microsoft... not sure.  Next time, I'm at home, I'll run again and try to put all the gross results that I could not understand in this thread.

I've also updated my driver for the network card and redone permissions and actions several times.  The only thing that I can also say that something can highlight, it is that when I was using the RC of windows 7, I don't have this problem at all.  It was my first installation of Windows 7.  I reinstalled from the final version and all of these files already exist on another partition on the same drive.  I just had to move my public and directories user space on the D: partition and share everything.  Maybe the new facility with something on the existing structures of the file works well with the new facility of the former?  But this does not explain why a new directory and file that create displays the same behavior.  I'm thinking out loud a bit to see if it helps that anyone think that anything...

    I thought about it!

At least for me, it was a setting in the Advanced tab of the network adapter.  I have a Realtek Gigabit network card and one of the places must have been missed incorrectly.

I changed the 2 following settings to "disabled", and he immediately started working very well.

    Disabled IPv4 Checksum Offload
People with disabilities large send Offload (IPv4)

I have a suspicion that among recent updates of Microsoft for this driver he missed bad... but it was this or the latest driver from Realtek.

    Update:

In other research I have narrowed it down to make it just the Large Send Offload value.  Is located on "activated" whenever I update the driver Realtek to the latest version.  If I then go and set it to "Disabled", everything works fine.

  • Experiences of T500 and card reader

    Hello

I think around to replace my HDD with a SSD Intel so I also read a lot about this different storage technology. Later, I came to the result of attempting moving $TEMP, $BROWSERCACHE and $PAGEFILE for a cheaper Flash. Why not use the card reader integrated?

Someone with experience in the execution of the build in the card reader (RICOH)? I can't find any Tech specs for this device and so I have no by an expensive sandisk sdhc extreme iii 30 MB/s or anything else where there is a slower card reader built in.

I woulb gladly about some results "benchmark" of your sd, sdhc, mmc cards in the reader build-in.

    Thanks, Ronny

I tried a SATA CF adapter in the UltraBay slot. My Lenovo is not recognized-, but it works with a USB adapter to SATA (at low speed).

In my view, card reader is not a solution for my task. It is very possible to be too slow for the paging - now I'm going to see how long lives the SSD.

  • Size video questions/slow performance after update by 2014 CC

    Hi all

I'm not a business editor, so please bear with me here. I spent the last few days around looking for an answer and were not able to achieve much.

    I'm on a Macbook 2011 end Pro, 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 6750 M 512 MB, Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b).

I have spent a month cut my first little experimental feature including the Deputy Editor set up for me (and which is currently absent).

My computer is not rocket fast, but I was able to complete the first past little on first CC (7.2.2?) with few major problems.

A week ago, I upgraded to first CC 2014 8.0.

I immediately noticed that my images went from this:

    Screen Shot 2014-07-09 at 8.45.39 PM.png

    To do this:

    Screen Shot 2014-07-09 at 8.44.43 PM.png

    (Details of the images):

Because you might be able to say, we shot very old school VHS to help sell the setting of the 1990s. It was a nightmare to find the best way to export everything. I still don't know if we did it entirely correctly - and I hope that this is not the cause of these problems. Also, I know that VHS is only SD - we chose to import the highest quality, which is 1920 x 1440 and ProRes 422, because more of the precision of image was present in low light.)

    --

I found that I had to select all the clips in each scenario, right click and select 'Set to the size of the image' to have the complete video picture once more. Then I had to restore everything.

As I tried to regain my edit, the performance has been much slower. Reading is a nightmare. I constantly get the beach ball of death. It takes several minutes to save the project. And he started to plant about once an hour above all.

But I continued to work for the last eight days, hoping that I would be able to remedy this somehow.

I have cleared the cache with no luck.

I read that I could uncheck "Composite linear color" to make it faster, but it wasn't a problem during the last generation.

My reading and resolution paused is 1/4.

I read that I should update my operating system OS X Mavericks, but keeps crashing too! Haha.

I understand that my system is not the best, but I want to just my project to perform as well as on the first CC before the update.

I just talked to a technician in Adobe who basically told me that he was not a solution here to also back to first CC from 2014 CC - or buying a new Macbook.

But there must be a way I can get the same performance I did the upgrade, right? I have a feeling that something happened to how CC 2014 using the existing images.

(Also, I noticed that the clips where I increased the zoom, i.e. 100% and 110%, were back to their original size. And instead of saying 100%, he said now 300%. I guess it's because of the "image size"SETTING", but this was not the case on the first CC.)

Does anyone have ideas, what can I do here?

Here are my settings in sequence on CC 2014:

    Screen Shot 2014-07-09 at 8.54.58 PM.png

    And CC:

    Screen Shot 2014-07-09 at 10.01.44 PM.png

For some reason, some parts of this window are dimmed and not 2014 cc. Not sure if this has anything to do with the question.

Thanks a ton in advance everybody! I can't really afford to lose 8 days of work, any help would be greatly greatly appreciated!

I'll be more than happy to provide additional information.

I'm really looking to find, in the end, if my only two options are: a) go back to first CC and lose my recent work or b) buy a new laptop, which I can't afford.

(As a question, is there a way I can transfer my recent work of 2014 CC to CC? I understand this is not backwards compatible, but there must be at least a partial solution).

    Best,

    Jon

You shot SD... If you really need to edit in a sequence of SD.

Depends on how they test the reader. I've had my share of experiences where SMART doesn't have to inform my OS of chess. You must pay attention to the sounds player makes, clicks and beeps are good indicators of the drive is dying. But also slower to read and write times.

  • View or process data acquired by NI 5732

    Hi all

I have a scanner high-speed NI 5732 works with NI SMU 7962R. I need to acquire data at high frequency and the process/view it online if possible. I think the problem is that the while loop in the high acceptance of the VI page is too slow to read the data sent by the FPGA. I can see clealy waveform when the input frequency is low, but when the frequency is high the ugly looks of waveform. Is there a way I can see the waveform clealy high frequency in real time? Or I can use somethig like a FIFO to store data and view it later?

    Thank you

    Tong

    Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your answer and I've already found the solution by myself.

I did the FPGA and host screws by myself according to the example of "Getting started". I use the internal clock of 80 MHz in the FPGA VI. I'm trying to use NI 5732 to acquire the signal with a frequency of several MHz, so I think that the acquisition rate is fast enough.

I solved the problem by using a target-to-host FIFO. The maximum size of the FIFO seemed to be 32767, so I put this value. Also, host VI, I put the number of items to be read from the FIFO to 10000. So I can view the MHz signal at the host VI.

    Best,

  • Questions for the W541! Possible purchase

Hi everyone I am considering the purchase of a new laptop computer and I'm considering W541 as one of my options. I have a few questions though, before I can do a longish and I'll be very grateful if anyone with or without experience with W541 can respond! BTW I use the laptop mainly under linux + windows for light work of games/office.

    (1) SCREEN. Is the FHD REAL matte screen or is bright somehow? I suffer from eye strain/headaches of the retina or glossy or very bright white color poster. I don't consider any laptop with this kind of screen. Also the FHD seems to be the smallest resolution I can get, you think it of big enough for a person with the glass of the prescription see? (otherwise T440p seems the thinkpad only left with HD resolution).

    (2) CPU/RAM: there are two "low end" option for CPU: i7-4710 MQ and MQ i7-4810. I know they are pretty similar and I have additional need 500 mhz. However, a Web site, the 4810 seems to support DDR3L 1333/1600 so that 4710 supports only DDR3. I don't know if it's right because Lenovo offers 4710 with 1600 MHz ram. Also do you think 2.5 GHz base frequency difference of 2.8 GHz? How about consumption?

    (3) battery life: I'm going to battery 9 if I buy this one. Does anyone have a real experience for how long it might last with internet/office/pdf work?

    (4) replacement of RAM: is it replacement ram there at 1600 mhz for replacement? I can only find 14900 mhz crucial. Oh I found 1600 Kingston and kingston 1866? Can I even use 1866 for W541?

    (5) sensor of fingerprint digital/color: pretty cool to have feature. But those good support in Linux, or even in windows? My friend has an old T500 with option of fingerprints, and is hell slow to read/use this function.

    (6) microdrive/raid: having a raid will be beneficial? With ssd?

    (7) keyboard pad num: anyone looking like / dislike it? The num key did all the keys closer and more difficult to type?

    (8) final thought: pretty stupid, but don't I have to wait for the quad core broadwell or even skylate? It's 'almost' seven.

I recently "upgraded" to a W520 in a W541, so I can probably help with some of them.

    (1) SCREEN. Is the FHD REAL matte screen or is bright somehow?

Speaking only in the version 3K, it is dull. I think the FHD screen is similar.

I wouldn't put too much trust the specifications of Lenovo, which is really disappointing... If you look, the W541 is listed as a 5th generation of processor (is not, and I sent a message about this months ago) and they claim that you can buy it with a touchscreen multipoint (you can't).

    Plan on DDR3L / 1600.

    (3) battery life: I'm going to battery 9 if I buy this one. Does anyone have a real experience for how long it might last with internet/office/pdf work?

About 6 hours, give or take, if you have the display near the midpoint of the brightness.

    (4) replacement of RAM: is it replacement ram there at 1600 mhz for replacement? I can only find 14900 mhz crucial. Oh I found 1600 Kingston and kingston 1866? Can I even use 1866 for W541?

According to my experience, the W541 was very picky with RAM. I went with 2 x 2 x 8 sets of Crucial (P/n: BLS2K8G3N169ES4). Lenovo doesn't really allow to much enjoy anything be it faster.

    (5) sensor of fingerprint digital/color: pretty cool to have feature. But those good support in Linux, or even in windows? My friend has an old T500 with option of fingerprints, and is hell slow to read/use this function.

The fingerprint reader was not an option when I bought my W541 in April. The W520 fingerprint reader was usable in Fedora, for what it is worth. Both should work fine in Windows (speaking from experience, works of fine point color calibrator Windows 8.1).

    (6) microdrive/raid: having a raid will be beneficial? With ssd?

The microdrive is useful if your main drive is a stand-alone magnetic drive, or if you want to format and have a semi-permanent place to keep ~ 16 GB of data. You can get adapters to convert the optical Bay for a 2.5 "drive Bay HARD, that you can use for RAID 0 or RAID 1.

    (7) keyboard pad num: anyone looking like / dislike it? The num key did all the keys closer and more difficult to type?

It takes getting used to typing with your hands to shift to the left. The keys seem to very small, however. It is not as bad as the HP keyboards with numpads, but if there is an option to get the keyboard without one, I would have taken the traditional keyboard.

    (8) final thought: pretty stupid, but don't I have to wait for the quad core broadwell or even skylate? It's 'almost' seven.

If you do not need today, I'd wait. I liked my W520, and I pretty much hate my W541. The trackpad is the worst I've ever used, the keyboard has a number of quality issues, display of 3K there's nothing to get excited about, thermal reduction system needs to refine...

The only reason why I happen to be here today, is that I was shopping for a replacement for the W541 I bought a few months ago. It's pretty horrible.

  • Help engine action

Hi, I'm going to need to transfer data from table between two parallel loops. Which I did in my example attached, but I need to figure out if one of the loops that I use has a faster pace of the loop it will keep reading action engine a status/action? or will he allow the loop slower to read its State/action? or it will behave as the queue behavior?

Remove waiting inside the AE and change the default value for reading.

AE makes no difference for the function, if you have time different loop, you could read 10 times faster you write or vice versa in a loop. EI prevents you to read and write at the same time (so waiting in the AE is a bad idea because it will block the other loop) and removes the redundant use of 'controls' variable, otherwise it is identical to a local variable.
