64-bit Internet connections work, 32-bit Internet connections do not work.
The system configuration:
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
- HP Pavilion P6310f
- AMD Athlon 2 x 4 630 image processor
- 6 GB DDR3 RAM
- nVidia graphic Chipset
Symptoms:
- all 32-bit internet programs do not detect an internet connection and cannot connect to the internet.
- Internet Explorer (32-bit) displays instantly "Cannot Display the Webpage", there is no apparent delay or the connection attempt.
Counter-arguments to skeptics
- Computer starts completely, no error message.
- Network and sharing Center shows "Access Type: Internet", detects no problem.
- Windows updates work
- Internet Explore 64-bit works
I work for a local computer repair business, and I've seen this problem now on at least 3 machines. I've almost exhausted all means to try to solve these problems, ranging from to restore the system registry changes. Nothing seems to have helped. Here's what I did on this specific problem:
- Reset Internet Explorer settings
- Reset the Internet Explorer advanced settings
- netsh winsock reset
Until you try and suggest that it is an internet explore addon, I said all THE 32-bit programs, so that some programs use the Internet Explorer settings for the communication of the internet (for example, proxies) they are not affected by the integrated addons.
I thought I could keep from doing another massive troubleshooting on this one and see if anyone else has a better answer for me. So far I've never seen someone say they got this fixed solution without saying 'I reformatted my computer and it's corrected now. This isn't a good solution for a problem caused by potentially a single file.
So, anyone have any ideas?
Hello
· What is the security software installed on your computer?
· What were the changes made to the computer before the problem occurred?
Method 1:
You can check on what is happening in SafeMode with network option. Follow the link to start the desktop in SafeMode with network.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
Method 2:
Also uninstall the security software temporarily and check if it makes a difference in the way applications respond.
Once you have done to resolve the problem, reinstall the software.
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Hope this information is useful.

P850 satellite and a WiFi - internet connection does not work well
Hello
My internet connection does not work with a Wi - Fi connection.
I have laptop Satellite P850-131, which I bought a few months ago and I noticed that over the past two months the internet connection does not work well. When I connect to the computer shows that I am connected Wi - Fi connections, however there is no connection and I can't access the internet.I tried to do all the regular search but nothing works. Sometimes the message I get told that there is a problem with the DNS and other times with the IP address. However, with other computers I didn't have any problem at all to connect to the same Wi-Fis.
All solutions?
> When I connect to the computer shows that I am connected Wi - Fi connections, however there is no connection and I can't access the internet.
If such a problem would appear again start the console (window BACK in typing CMS in search)
Here, use the command * ipconfig / renew *. -

I just upgraded to 10 64-bit Windows. The version of Firefox that works now on this OS regularly displays a blocking window that told me that "this connection is not approved" when I try to connect to a third-party site. A screenshot of the window copy is attached. How to disable this warning? I can't continue to use Firefox if I can't find the 'off' switch, which so far has escaped me.
Yes, this is the feature, and it is lit.
How it works, is that ESET intercepts all your browser connections to filter the content. If it is an HTTP connection, it is transparent. For an HTTPS connection, ESET must present a certificate of 'false' for Firefox site so it can be the "man in the middle" and decipher and read the answer (otherwise, it's gibberish, of course).
ESET is supposed to insert his signature certificate in both the Windows certificate store (used by IE and Chrome) separated from Firefox AND the browser certificate store accepts the false certificates. But it does not always work. In this case, you can import the certificate manually in Firefox. If all goes well, which has been covered in the manual, but otherwise it's basically along these lines:
(1) search or save a copy of the ESET signature certificate (it is a file in DER format that usually has the .cer extension). Is your second screen shot what appears when you click View Certificate? Try this:
- Click the Details tab, click the button "Copy to File. This will start the Export Wizard.
- In the wizard, choose the DER format and save in a suitable location (for example, your Documents folder).
(2) import the file into Firefox as follows:
- In Firefox, open the Certificate Manager to:
"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > mini-onglet Certificates > "view certificates" button.
- Click on mini - the References tab, then on the 'Import' button and find the DER file. Note: I suggest allowing the certificate for websites only.
I have attached a few screenshots of reference sample.

I went from a Win7 32-bit on a 64-bit win7 machine computer. Now, I get "this connection is not approved" on many pages, including support for Mozilla, Yahoo, send a mail to yahoo, etc. The only thing that has changed is my computer. Everything worked on the 32-bit system. I tried DELL-no-help, I tried Norton-no-help - I tried all published recommendations - nothing helped. Can someone give an explanation of how solve this incompatibility (presumed) Win7 64 bit computers? How can I quickly and absolutely get rid of MESSAGES "THIS CONNECTION IS UNTRUSTED"?
Thanks for ANY help from an expert.Right after that I posted this problem it seemed the solution:
I noticed a pop-up, named "BROWSERSAFEGUARD" who has attempted to set my computer to a "cleaner" for a price. I checked in my installed programs if there was a "Browsersafeguard" and he was there. I uninstalled it, check "incompatible with my system" and my computer turned on like never before. Lightning fast connections and no message more "this connection is not approved. Wow. It took me 7 days to find it. Hope this will help you, too. Send a message to this one to let me know if it solved your problem -
Satellite Pro M50: Lobos SkyMe internet phone will not be installed when connect you
I would welcome suggestions for a USB problem.
A Lobos SkyMe internet phone will not install when it is connected to a USB port, but will install when plugged into my Shuttle PC.
Historical precedents with the USB ports on this Satellite Pro M50, I'm pretty much at my wits end.Apparently, no driver is necessary, but I wonder if there is a registry hack to force recognition?
Hello
Could you describe in detail what does not work? You get an error message?
I m not an expert in internet phone installation and didn t install similar devices in the past, but I imagine that the phone should recognize the new plugged the USB with no problems.
If there is a problem with the USB device recognition go to Device Manager and remove all the controllers and the USB ports.
Reboot the laptop. After that process, the operating system installs the ports again.
Then you could try to connect the external USB device to the laptop USB port.PS; to make sure that the USB ports will provide enough power, you must disable USB energy saving properties.

Satellite L20-264: wireless Internet access does not work
I have a US Robotics router and a wireless laptop, I followed the instructions exactly in the manual to set up but the internet still does not work wireless but it works through the ethernet connection.
Can someone help me please.
If it helps my laptop model is 264 L20
Thank youIt is a pity that you describe your problem WLAN so little time and we don t know what you tried exactly and what results are there.
For properly WLAN use two hardware components must be configured right - the router itself and laptop. It will be interesting to know on what are the instructions you wrote.
Are you sure that your router is configured correctly?

When you use the internet, my virus detector asked if I would allow google chrome to download a newer version. I clicked on the decline, and then my internet has stopped working. I finally got back on, but now my computer won't let me use google chrome as a browser. It indicates that the internet connection is not available. I was able to use other browsers, but not Google. I tried disabling my firewall to see if it would work then, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? I'm afraid, that I blocked it somehow. Thank you!!
Hello
I suggest you post your question in the Google Chrome forums here: http://www.google.com/support/forum
This looks like a problem with this specific program and not with Windows. I hope this helps!

Help, INternet explorer does not work after windows update
One day, the computer automatically downloads and installs the programs that are recommended by microsoft windows.
After installation, my INternet explorer does not work.It reads:
Windows could not access 'ie.redirect.hp.com '.
Windows received an HTTP error message: 403 (refused).
-> If this problem is consistenly prevent windows to connect to several sites on the Internet, contact your network administrator or your ISP.Then I click ok, and then try to go on 'www.google.com '.
It still does not work, so I click on diagnose connection problems
This time, it reads:Windows not found no problem with the network connection on this computer.
You want to report the problem to Microsoft? Additional details about what went wrong can help create a solution. The report will be sent the next time you go online.
Send informationBut when I send, I can not because I have Canon go online on my Internet Explore.
When he first stopped working, I could use the system restore, but after a few months I dropped and now I can't restore the system to a place that it worked fine.I also know that this problem is not the administrator of network or something like that because I downloaded Firefox when IE stopped working, and Firefox works fine.
I tried everything, but I can not do it by myself, so help please!

I uninstalled firefox, but impossible to reinstall because the internet explore is not work
I wanted to reinstall firefox so I went to add/remove prog. and deleted.
Now, internet explore is not working. I don't know how to tell if its disabled because of firefox making previously.
The reason to install it again was because he stopped to hold my passwords.
I have a second computer that I use to communicate with you.Hi zaqzaq,
You can download the installer of firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/) on your second computer, copy it to a flashdrive and then install it on your first computer.
I don't ' think that firefox does nothing to internet explore. The only thing I can think is that you may have firefox as default browser. However, would not prevent Explorer to work. If your question is about what's wrong with explorer, it might be useful to a microsoft forum.

Internet Explorer does not work correctly?
My Microsoft Internet explorer is not working properly and I had some problems with viruses that have been resolved. I use Goodgle Chrome to do what I have to, but that's all. I use Yahoo mail and cannot do so with Internet Explorer? What can I do to clean Internet Explorer?
You should review seriously use IE for anything other than Windows Update. It's a malware magnet. Firefox or Chrome with blockers of advertising would be a better choice.
Unfortunately, I do not have malware. I just never get everything... maybe 1 or 2 in my life.
I would like to have your PC checked by an expert from malware. They're at BleepingComputer.com (the creators of MalwareBytes and other malicious software utilities)... Tell them what you told me in the I'm infected? forum and they give you a certificate of good health.
