6450 disc HARD switch b

I have a Probook 6450 b, win7 and fedora 17, everything, and I was hoping to spend my hard with the other drive I had laying around. (Reason: I use my computer at school a lot and want to be able to Exchange if I managed to catch a virus) It's a Samsung Spinpoint, 320 GB, 5400 RPM, and it has a SATA 2 interface. Everything I see says it should work, but when I tried to have this in my computer that my main drive, it wouldn't start, abd the num/caps lock indicators started to blink. (four flashes, five...) Can someone upgrade me?

Oh and I'm probably out of warranty, I used it and when I entered my serial number in supportve the copy of promo 6450 b. When I reinstalled win7 it says I have an i3, rather than an i5 as the first installation had said. (dunno what happened here)

Hello

I tried this test: I have cloned my HDD for one SSD and Exchange, both work as usual. I upgraded the machine with SSD for Windows 8, and now I use Windows 7 from old Windows 8 new SSD and HARD drive. The essential point: to do TWO HARD DISKS even first.

I hope this helps.

  • removing the disc HARD dv4t-5300

Oops someone showed me where the maintenance manual is on this.  Thank you!

I just bought a laptop HP dv4t-5300 series.  I removed the small bottom plate to find that there are no screws to remove the disk hard so that I can put in my drive SSD OCZ Vector (w00t).  Dv6t-7300 there is two screws and disc hard this spell.

I can't find any on HDD removal textbooks and when I called technical support HP says the hard drive can't get out and it is a particular size for a SSD will not fit.  The hard drive is a standard 2.5 "and I think that the tech knew what he was talking about.

Anyone would be able to seat me with where to find a manual or something on this computer?  Usually youtube or some forum or Internet HP site it would, but I can't find anywhere, anything on this computer again.  Sometimes, you have to remove the keyboard in order to install things but I don't want to start taking everything as part of discover that it's just a hidden screw or something.

    Thank you!

  • Cannot format disc disc HARD NTFS - Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3

Hi, I hope someone can help me to solve this problem, because it drives me crazy. I have Dell Inspiron 4500 which HDD is running out of space. There was also a problem with the disc essentially installed 2 new 1 x 120 GB Maxtor hard drives and 1 x 320 GB Hitachi. I installed Windows XP Home Edition on the Maxtor from scratch and load all the drivers and patches, etc... However whenever I try to put in place the Hitachi under NTFS, it falls on the formatting. If I use third-party tools all right until you try to access it through windows, then I get "cannot access the disk, the files are corrupted or damaged. In windows Disk Manager, you can see the drive, but the file system is empty. I can take out the drive and set up on my other machine without problem. I can set up the correct disk in FAT32? If I then try to CONVERT, switch again.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind rgds

    Hello Maver1ck63,

Thank you for your message.  You have the jumpers physics master/slave accordingly?  Otherwise, the value OS hard drive (Maxtor) to the master and your Hitachi to the slave.  After a reboot, your system recognizes this drive in 'my computer '?  If so, can you right click and format the drive?  (Keep in mind, the formatting will erase all data on the disk, you will need to back up any important information before formatting).  If you cannot access or recognize this drive:
Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
    Click on "disk management".
Do you think your player, you can get in shape from here (or assign a drive letter if it is not recognized in my computer)?
Please let us know the result.

  • A200 problem disc hard space report

I have a problem with my A200. The size of the disk is 40 GB and it currently has 15 GB in use.

Sometimes the machine suddenly starts indicate that the disc has only 40MB of remaining free space - confirmed by checking the properties for the drive under my computuer. After a restart everything goes back to normal with the appropriate space.

Is this a known issue for this machine? I saw there is a BIOS update available, but can't see all the details of the issues to address.

    Hello

in my opinion, you should do an update of the BIOS.

You scan your HARD disk with a current anti-virus software?
You can also run Scandisk and Defrag that check your HARD drive.

  • Satellite M70-159: put disc HARD question

    Hello.

When I have my laptop turned on, wait 2-5 minutes and my hard drive turn off why? I put in Toshiba Power Saver to never... when I click on some... my hard drive won't power on and I hear it. How can I make my drive hard not power down?

Please help me, I have to get some software or what?

First of all, I would like to know why you are sure that HARD drive turn off 100%.
If you do not hear that the HARD disc spins, it does not mean that the HDD power off.

  • Double disc HARD MacPro boots on one, not the other

I have a MacPro 2008 with two drives hard bootable. We have OS x 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and the other Mavericks 10.9.5. I use the first for my daily work and the second opportunity for LogicPro.

The drive of the Mavericks has stopped booting and I don't know how to fix it. It appears as an option if I hold the alt key after the Gong to start, but if I select it, I just get the gray Apple logo screen for several minutes and eventually Mac starts on Snow Leopard disk. The two drives appear in the startup disk pane in the Control Panel, but by selecting the Mavericks an and the reboot leads to the same result.

The volume of the Mavericks is visible from Snow Leopard, I can open the files subject to the permissions of the user, so I can't to my Logic Pro files. I had some weird user account problems when I installed the Mavericks on the second disc of the first and had to set up a new Userid on it.

I ran disk utility (when it is started from Snow Leopard), which notes that the Mavericks drive is OK. I ran repair permissions and the ERD; the first made many changes, this last, no.

I tried to reset the PRAM.

I tried out the Snow Leopard disc there is only the Mavericks in the Mac.

In case it is relevant, Snow Leopard is sitting on a 960 GB SSD, Mavericks on a classic 500 GB drive (which was the original drive provided with the Mac). The content of all the two have been cloned at least once using Carbon Copy Cloner through other intermediate readers, and both worked very well several times in the current configuration since the cloning of the last.

I still have a disk of 250 GB which was the first facility of Mavericks/LogicPro and could restore but would not be able to get to any LogicPro project since this swap.

    Any suggestions please?

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive

Make sure that you have a current backup before continuing.

Boot to HD recovery: restart the computer after the ring, press on and hold the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen to appear.

Repair the hard drive and permissions: at startup, select in the main menu disk utility. Repair hard disk and permissions as follows.

When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility and press the continue button. Disk utility charges and select Macintosh HD entry indented from the list on the left.  Click the first aid tab, and then click the repair disk button. If disk utility reports any errors that have been corrected, then again run repair disc until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions . Wait until the operation is complete, then quit disk utility and return to the main menu.

Reinstall OS X: Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest to use Ethernet if possible because it's three times faster than Wi - Fi and more reliable.

  • Problem recovery disc HARD on the Satellite C660

My apologies if this is the wrong sub-forum:

The fool that I am, I changed my WIndows login and password since I use very long passwords, I don't know what I changed it to. Guessing is out of the question.

So I turned on my computer laptop while holding the key 0, what brought me to the Windows Boot Manager screen. I pressed F8 on Windows 7 for advanced options and opted for "Recovery Mode", as I've used in the past to install the operating system from scratch.

It asks me to select a keyboard layout, and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.

Any advice on what I can do?

    Thank you

    > It asks me to select a keyboard layout and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.
On this step, you must enter your login name and login password of Windows. Without correct password, you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

There is option to install the recovery image. You can do so now using recovery DVDs. You have created using the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator?
