  I doubt that Windows 7 is faster then XP. I also tried Windows 7 RTM and I must say it s faster then Vista but I think XP is still the fastest operating system.

  However, if your laptop crashes in Windows 7, you must use the preinstalled operating system which I think is XP. I mean Windows 7 isn't on the market yet and I doubt that enough old Equium A110 will support Windows 7.

  What you can do is to clean the laptop using a jet of compressed air because maybe it s an overheating.

  But I think that s all you can do.

  Here are my tips...

  A. I have several files and thousands of e-mails longer and have manged fines, as matter of fact, Thunderbird has been great. Then like a good stooge I approved the moz and did my upgrade to 38. Never had a problem before the upgrade. After the upgrade, everything went to *.

  B. the 38 version upgrade was a big change. When I look in the folder that has been labeled the envoys or Inbox folder (where all emails from each account is collected), all the emails listed would disappear when I moved my mouse over them! Emails disappearing! They were there in records specific e-mail below but not but in the case of head as if it were just a day earlier and with the upgrade. I thought that as an addition on the question and waited for the difficulty that happened not so long ago. Again, which could be a problem of record add-on.

  C. the upgrade to 38 were other issues, but if the madness going no problem was not bad enough, the problem seems to be growing with each ' update or bugfix that followed. Don't hold me to it but I think it was in 38.1.2 or 8 (I think that's it. I wasn't paying attention, but if I had known that I would have to tell it, I will!) That's when hanging interminably long. When the program closed at least I got a project saved, then I read on line that the problem was the registration of open messages, I turned the auto reduction. He did change the frequency of the hanging (white screen pause) and timing (where the B2H appears), but he was always there and always!

  D. I had hoped with 38.2 there will be improvements. Nothing has changed. I didn't know that 38.3 would make this change/fix, but it's not. If I write all this, so you have what I know as a loyal user since 2007.

  E. here is what you need to complete the picture. I'm on a PC running 8.1. on an Intel i7-4770, with 32 GB of ram, now you tell me when you will issue the update to fix the problem! Once again, Mozilla, I suggest you start by looking at how TB 38 manages several emails, files and archives. Not all of us have only one e-mail account. Most of us have been really happy with TB before 38. If you can't find the question, can you show us how to get back to a version prior to 38?

  I have Thunderbird installed 28 on a new window machine 8.1 version.

  Freezing at random was caused by electrostatic discharge. I used the laptop in a glass surface, and when I touched the metal parts, the discharge made and caused the gel.

  After much research, I came to the conclusion that the ExpressCache is the cause.

• Win 7 intermittent starting problems

  My wife birhtday, I bought a new desktop PC 500-281 HP Pavillion through Win 7 clips in July of 2014. Intermittently the machine hangs at startup. Usually, he gets to "Starting Windows" screen and freezes, windows logo is not launched. The machine is connected to ethernet (not wireless) a of the USB connections and: mouse, keyboard, external hard drive WD, printer Canon, Logitech webcam. All of this worked well on the old box. I have checked/updated all the drivers for external and all devices are updated. I checked the BIOS and Windows Connection Manager is the first start. This is a report of start-gel 60/40 at the moment and it happened that the staples of 14 days return policy. Any advice? My wife is extremely frustrated! (as a result so I am!)

  I would test equipment (systems and components) to restarting your PC and pressing "ESC". A defective material is usually behind on a new PC erratic behavior. Despite a software driver problem which is very unlikely, component, causing this type of symptom can be the power supply. This point of failure (power) is not detected using HP diagnostics. If material tests pass and this isn't a software driver problem, through the process of elimination, it can be the power supply.

  In the start menu select F2 and run diagnostics.

  If all tests pass, try to use the PC with HP supplied only devices (mouse, keyboard, and Ethernet connection) to see if the system stabilizes.

  Let me know how it goes. We can try additional troubleshooting if the advice above does not help.

  Finally, you need to maybe to back up important data and do a factory restore. Then, run the system without installing any additional software and only HP devices connected.

  I use a lot of waiting. After that I wake the computer from sleep mode, it works as expected; but sometimes, when I run a program (usually VLC), the PC freezes, more input not possible, hard power off required. This isn't a problem of input device. The power button on my computer should cause the PC to stop but does not either when the system is frozen.

  If I do start VLC (or another program that causes the gel), the PC would either freeze during shutdown (power off), or follow these steps if I started the day before: the rotation of the drives down, monitors are not getting a signal more, cooling fans and the CPU fan still spinning. After about 5 minutes the PC turns off hard.

  I recently installed Windows 7 new and frost have yet taken place. Only a few programs have been used:

  Chrome, Skype and VLC (since these seem to 'help' freezes)

  I also tried Ubuntu, where the system does not freeze. This could be because Ubuntu uses a different expectation.

  Currently I am in my old Win 7 installation and try different programs, not only not their use.

  Firefox instead of Chrome-> gel

  No VLC-> gel

  No Skype-> gel

  Thus, any of these programs makes my PC freeze

  Install Windows 7 from scratch, I realized sleep (aka standby) is usable only if the video card drivers are installed. It may be that this device / driver is the culprit?

  Edit: it seems I found what caused the problem: Reader adobe flash (plugin). Since it is used by Chrome and firefox in watching Youtube, my system froze with the two programs. Since I updated the driver (including firefox only suggested) no more freezes have been held since a few days now. This may be premature if. I will present after a while to confirm.
