  First of all, you need not use a setup of Windows 98 to work partition disk before installing Windows XP, Setup of Windows XP has the tools to do this job.

  Windows XP Setup cannot see the hard drive as it doesn't have drivers for the SATA controller on board.  To install Windows XP you must go into the BIOS and put the hard drive in IDE mode you will need to integrate the SATA drivers in the XP installation CD, or you need to feed them to the Windows XP Installer with a floppy using the F6 method drive.

  Your new PC does support Windows XP, it has Windows XP drivers available for it?  If this isn't the case, you will have a lot of crying by train to get there.

  I'm relatively new to VMWare. I had installed a VMWare Server 2 times back. The host OS is Windows Server 2008 64 bit version. I created 2 virtual machines. The guest operating systems were Windows Server 2003 Web Edition, and Windows Server Standard. The host crashed yesterday. I had to reset hard. Once the host has increased, VMWare would not come to the top. I uninstalled VMWare. Help of the positions of the community how to uninstall and delete files, registry clean. • E1550 cannot access hard drive NTFS.

  (1) try to reset the password for the utility disk AirPort

  (2) open TextEdit on the Mac and type the password in plain text in an editor window.  This will allow you to ensure that all the keys on the keyboard are recognized.  I've seen cases where passwords fail again and again because of a problem with a wrong key on the keyboard or a habit of typing that makes you believe that you enter the password one way, but the result is something else.  Be able to actually see that typed password allows to check that.

  To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions:

  1. have you checked if the cables are connected properly?

  2 what is an internal hard drive or external?

  3 have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

   

  The most common cause of a non-accessible i/o error is a disconnected cable. When the computer tries to access a device, and it's no response after several tests, it will generate this error. Another common cause is when a program tries to access a file that has been removed or eliminated.

   

  Disconnected Hard Drive/cable misconfiguration

   

  Internal hard drives require a specific set up. IDE hard disks can have only one master.   Please be specific on what you mean by "far from many errors on the hard drive."  What kind of mistakes? Do you mean the drive read errors? Please quote the error message you get exact, verbatim.

  How many mistakes is "too much"? How many times they do they happen? They occur only when doing certain things or anything?

  If you really get a lot of the drive read errors, the drive is defective and must be replaced.

  But if you're talking about freezing, slow, etc. This is another question entirely, and I wouldn't call it 'errors on the hard drive. The little info you provided the mind, it is difficult to know what this problem is, but one of the things these days plussusceptibles is malware infection. What antivirus do you run (they are far from being just as good, and some of the most popular are among the worst). Do you also run an anti-spyware program?   You can help solve some computer problems and improve the performance of your computer by making sure that your hard disk has no errors.

  1. Open the computer by clicking on the button start , and then clicking computer.

  2. Right click on the hard drive you want to check, and then click Properties.

  3. Click on the Tools tab and then, under error-checking, click check now. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

     To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will simply report a problem, but not to fix them.

     To perform a full disk check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This scan is trying to find and repair physical errors on the hard drive itself, and it may take much longer to complete.

     To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

  4. Click Start.

  Depending on the size of your hard disk, this may take several minutes. For best results, do not use your computer for any other tasks while it checks errors.

• Cannot access the drive HARD Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 - file ONSPCCH.ini problem

  I have a Toshiba PX1267E - 32 1 external hard drive as well. It was working fine with my Vista Home Premium OS and has all my data backup on it. It has been password protected.

  My desktop HARD drive failed last week and was replaced and an old recovery disc of 12 months used to rebuild.

  I then tried to access the external HARD disk to restore the backup I ran the day before the accident, but when I enter the password (that I know is certainly correct) I get the same error as others posting here. He suggested that the input data does not match the information contained in the ONSPCCH.ini file.

  I can't disable or change the password as will erase all the data on the external HARD drive. The previous messages direct me on the site of Toshiba, but the options to download an updated driver is no longer correspond to the options available online.

• "Access denied" error on all hard drives external and MagicDisc

  I just purchased a Lenovo B575 running Win7 Home Premium and I'm very frustrated that I can't access my external hard drives, which are essential to my work. I get the error "Access denied" the normal start, but I'm able to use disks normally in safe mode. Here are some of the things I've tried:

  -Change the permissions/ownership after normal startup: does not work. Windows doesn't let me change the permissions or ownership, even if my single user account is set to administrator.

  -Change the permissions and ownership in safe mode: I found a solution online saying "Everyone" to add to the list of users in the Security tab. It works * temporary *, until I unplug my hard drives. When I plug back them, it's back to square one.

  -Install MagicDisc to access some files I saved in the form of ISO images: MagicDisc seems to work very well and load images normally... but also, I get the error "Access denied" when you try to open the drive in Explorer.

  -USB flash drives: same problem.

  -Other erratic behavior: one of my USB drives will not stop read/write as soon as I plug. I don't know if it's the McAfee antivirus analysis each of millions of files that I have on this subject, or if something else is happening.

  I had NONE of these issues on my old Acer and HP to my friend has no problem loading my readers. If I can't find a solution soon, I'll be forced to return this laptop that I need to access my work files.

  I lost my patience all yesterday and not the OneKey Rescue, restore my system to nine. Then, I named my new laptop of the same name that my old (relevant at all?).   I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and it comes with preinstalled Vista, I loaded the XP due to the fact that I was going to see if I could load linux Redhat Enterprise 4 and dualboot both operating systems at the same time but discovered this "DOUBLE BOOT" means that you can have 2 operating systems but can only bott one or the other...

  Anyway, my problem is that I want to just install Redhat Enterprise 4 linux on my laptop, but when it comes to partition the hard drive I get an error message saying "cannot find the hard drive to create file systems" then click OK and restart.

  I have a L300 which stops just to start (after that the screen flash BIOS) with a single cursor flashing when I boot from the HARD disk. I can access the bios Setup and boot from the CD. I took the HARD drive connected to my external USB adapter on another PC and I can see partitions C and D and read the files correctly. I noticed that there is a directory called 'HDD recovery' on the D drive, but I don't have a recovery CD or another program to restore it.

  I found a boot of Vista recovery disc and it allows me to start a version of vista recovery but when I check the windows system can't find any errors. Also, if I choose the system restore then he says that he has no restore file.
  I suspect it's the disk HARD restore being Tosh files and Windows.
