The new version is irritating.

The Ad box (which was earlier on) on the right keeps jumping in and out, causing irritation while chatting. It would be better above.

Try to run Skype in split view (view > split), it is even higher when the cat (don't no vocation yet).

    Hello

I can't find drivers for Modem for Tecra A8-103, can someone get me a link to them?

    Kind regards
    Clementine

Yes, why not, the driver should be available on the European driver download site:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

but can I ask you: which operating system is installed on your machine?

    Any comments would be appreciated.

  • Satellite A110-103 - 2 GB RAM - gaming performance optimization - SOLUTION

    Hello

For those of you who have 2 GB of RAM installed on the laptop and want to play games like f.e.a.r.2 PROJECT ORIGIN, it's performance that I have tested on my Toshiba Satellite A110-103!

If you want to add 2 GB of RAM or more to your laptop please read [this post and my experience with upgrades RAM | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=153005#153005]! It could help you save money!

Before you install the 2 GB of RAM, I used to have a paging file 4096 defined in Windows for drive C.
After that I installed the 2 GB of RAM, I wanted to play f.e.a.r.2 Project Origin on low heat.
However, the game played horrible with low display rate. So I wanted to know if there is a way to disable virtual memory (swap file) and only use real RAM.

Most of the discussions about the paging files disabling said it there is no way or point by doing this!
Well, I decided to give it a try!

I disabled the paging file to * start-> Control Panel - > system-> advanced-> performance-> settings-> advanced-> virtual memory - > Exchange-> no paging file *. I restarted my laptop and after the reboot in my case I could see the big difference in speed!

TEST: I opened FEAR2 - Project Origin started playing and my character's movement, where much more receptive and lag-free! : D

Conclusion: In my case disable virtual memory (swap file) really boosted my gaming experience! And I play on an ATI X200M with 256 MB shared memory card!
Try this and if you get good results please post them here! I have

    Best regards
    Marius Gigi

    Hi dude

    Thanks for this message
Usually the pagefile should help you increase the performance of RAM
USIN the page file, the data that must be stored in RAM would be transferred to the HARD disk and therefore a pieces of RAM would be free

However, thank you for this return of experience and your comments!

  • Portege M400-103 starts very slowly

My new M400-103 seems slow. I have another unit & even though it was a solo processor it still compares favourably in speed for example starting up my new machine.
I saw that part of the problem may lie with all programs util that Toshiba load in standard at the start, but surely with the mobile dual-core processor is still faster.

I put the power to FULL POWER management, etc., but does not have a big difference. I see some comments posted to talk about withdrawal of Toshiba OS & re-installign Windows XP, but I'd rather not do & rather settle the existing operating system if possible.

Has anyone else had a similar experience. The touchpad on the M400 seems also more finicky about others using touch, maybe that I still need to get used to it?

    Hello

As you have already mentioned with computers laptop Toshiba uses a lot of specific applications to control all the features on the phone.
If you want to use all the features of the laptop if you need applications. It's done.

To my knowledge the Portege supports a large number of new generation, applications such as the Toshiba tablet software utility of rotation protect suite, protection of HARD disk and so on

Of course if you do not use this feature, you can remove it. I think then the laptop would boot much faster.
In addition, on many laptops the Norton Anti virus is activated and this utility slows down the startup procedure. This problem appears also on my laptop. The anti-virus application loading take about 45 sec.

OK, you laptop uses a Dual Core CPU, but this is not really a reason to start much faster.

PS: Do you know an application called bootvis or something like that? This application monitors the initialization procedure and is able to make it faster.

  • Fix buffer overrun on Tecra A8-103 Vista key

    Hi all

Please can someone help me with the following. I bought Tecra A8-103 a few months ago. Everything was OK until a few days ago when I pop up error message whenever the mobile VODAFONE UMTS connection is made:
    Quote
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Buffer overrun detected!
    Program: / Vodafone Mobile Connect/Bin/Mobile.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected as corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot continue safe execution and must now end.
    End of quote

I must say that this connection works correctly since may ' 07, when it is installed.
I have contacted Microsoft, watched their support forums, but so far there is no help.

    Thank you.
    Claudio.

    Hello Claudio

Vodafone any which comment to that? Maybe their support a clams a lot about this? Have you tried to roll back the OS to an earlier time using system restore? Perhaps it may be a quick fix to this.

  • Updated by satellite-S2400-103 laptop RAM

    Hello!
I have a portable Satellite S2400-103 256 MB of RAM.
I want to improve... Could u pls tell me what RAM I can use and comments...

    Thank you!

    Hi hakena,.

I found the following information on your laptop:
    -No internal memory
    -2 slots are available
    -256 MB to 1 slot (PC2100 DDR - RAM)
    -512 MB is max.

I think this is the right decision because your NB will be faster. :)

Memory expansion Slot Cover, you will find at the bottom of your in New Brunswick. It's average covers fixed with a screw.

    Good bye

  • Bridged Networking - Comments don't see host; See everything

    I'm under Ubunty 10.04 as a guest on desktop Windows 7 x 64 using VMWare Workstation 7.1.

My network is configured as Bridged (VMNet0), and I have disabled VMNet1 and VMNet8 devices just to make sure that they don't accidentally interfere.

The host can ping the guest by IP and get exposed by the guest ports. It is ok. The host can also get to other hosts, local and internet addresses.

The customer can get to other hosts, local and internet addresses. However, he cannot get host (by IP or name, although only of intellectual property issues).

Address 192.168.1.103, the host is assigned by the DHCP server on the local network. the 192.168.1.109 prompt.

Here are the details of host networking:

The host has a few network cards installed:

-Wireless generally (in use and use in this case)

-Wired (sometimes in use, don't use it in this case)

-VPN (not using it right now)

-WLAN (not using it right now)

In addition, the Windows Teredo tunneling ipv6 stuff and whatnot. Seems you can't throw a rock here without hitting another virtual network card these days :-/

I installed the VMWare Additions on the guest.

I need for the guest to see the host (and, more specifically, the services on ports exposed on the host), the host, see comments. How to make that happen?

You can use "bridged", no need to use custom. It is a good practice to change the automatic bypass for VMnet0 at a fixed adapter as you.

Change it to bridged, now and the status report.

  • Comment on the time of sunset.

When I put to bed for the alarms of the week, AOS alarms work correctly. However, I noticed that even if I had a scheduled Monday alarm AM, I don't have an alert Sunday night. Sunset alerts have to be compensated forward, not back.

    Hello

You can submit suggestions and comments directly to Apple here (it is a community of support user-based):

    https://www.Apple.com/feedback/iPhone.html

  • How to remove a network of comments?

How to remove a comment WiFi network you created, or even edit to change the name and the password?

    Using AirPort Utility, as follows:

    • Your iMac, running the AirPort Utility.
    • Select your AirPort base station and then, select change.
    • Select the wireless tab.
    • To disable the Guest network, uncheck the 'Enable the Network'.
    • If you want to continue using this network, you can change the network name and password on this same tab.
  • File under Windows and Mac comments

    Hello...

When I write a comment of file (photo, etc.) under Mac OS, this comment is not visible in a Windows operating system and vice versa.

Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you!

    Not that I know of.

  • Search in the comment field in iTunes no longer works

I use the latest version of iTunes. For each song, I wrote different types of information in the comment field. Suddenly the search function does not include the comment field more. It's very frustrating. I searched this forum and searched through Google. Unfortunately, without success, none of the tips that I found can solve the problem. Hoping to find some help here.

The deposited comment is actually displayed in the playlist when you're looking? Some fields do not appear in a search if they are not displayed.

  • Comments of print with extreme network and printer HP Envy 4520

Project night and I have people coming. My comments and personal networks are set up. I have an extreme Airpot and a range of printers HP 4520. Is there a way that my guests and I can print from here. Other then to move networks back on my printer? I tell myself that I'm asking here before I ask HP. I seem to get better answers here. Thanks for any idea!

Users connected to the network 'Guest' cannot 'see' all devices in the 'hand' or 'private '.  Only "see you" each other and connect to the Internet.

Same thing for users on the hand, or a private network.

If you want a user on the network to be able to print, then you will need to install a printer wireless network reviews.

If users on the main network and the guest network printing, then you need a printer for each network.

A Dingo workaround solution would be to ask him to send you an email with an attachment that you can print and give back their.

  • Unable to see the comments on Huffington Post

In version 41 and earlier versions, I could see the comments section of the Huffington Post with no problems. With the recent upgrade to the 42 version and now 43b 04, I am unable to see the reviews online. • Can't rread the comment section of the articles on my mac Help!

I have a Mac 10.9.5 and for some reason, the section of comments on my mac can never charge for any item. What is strange it can still charge for comments on facebook and youtube. For some reason any it just does not work for articles. Any help will be much appreciated.

Ok. Best evidence will be a screenshot of what you DO not see...

    1. Finder
    2. Help menu
    3. Mac Help (should look like this after doing a few choice)
    4. Hold down command + SHIFT keys, and press '3 '.
      you will hear a "shuttersnap".
There will be a new file to PNG image on your desktop
    5. Use the camera above the part of the answer to search for and insert it in a response

Also test 'application help' - as the preview or Safari - same choice of Menu 'help' but IN the App - take a screenshot if no joy
