7 8500 OfficeJet Windows installation instructions

For anyone having trouble with this product from the appointment, you need to uninstall everything, is if you have already installed and have problems, if not disregard this part on the removal of the old program and registry cleaning, ect. then if you uninstall, delete all temporary files, run a registry cleaner, before doing anything. Then go in the configuration of the system on Windows 7 since the administrative tools, and then select Selective startup, uncheck the startup items and keep load system services checked. You then click on the services tab and check the skin all the microsoft services box, and then click on disable all button. After that, you

Download the latest program of the OfficeJet 8500 HP download location for windows 7

After that, you restart the computer to apply the changes and stop all non-Microsoft services. Then after completing the restart of the system and the connection, you right-click on the OJP8500vA909_Full_13.exe file and click on Run As Administrator and then if you have user access control works as it should, you will receive a message box asking to allow the program to go forward and you select Yes. Also, make sure that your Officejet 8500 printer IS NOT CONNECTED to THE ROUTER BEFORE YOU RUN this PROGRAM. When the program is ready, it will inspire you to ATTACH the PRINTER to THE ROUTER. If you are running Windows Firewall, it will go through without a hitch in general, for other firewalls, you may need to adjust accordingly. There are more detailed instructions of firewall to OfficeJet 8500 Windows 7 Installatiion Page and there are instructions for Norton, McAfee, BlackIce, OutpostPro, Trend Micro Internet Security and Zone Alarm Security Suite. I got AVGInternet security and could not make it work, because it doesn't have that many advanced features and I couldn't get it to work, so I disabled that and returned to Windows Firewall. I also reset the default network settings in the configuration menu of the printer to make sure that everything was normal. It works now, so I must return my previous statements, it can work, but the instructions should be clear that you have to take these measures from the beginning, and not after you spend hours trying to make it work. If you have problems with your network, you can connect to the router to see if the printer is there, the address of the router is usually 192.168.0.1 which you type in the address bar of your browser for those of you who are not familiar with them. It should give you a list of lan devices currently connected to your router. It's also a good idea to install your printer with a static IP address, which is usually in basic/network settings under Add a DHCP reservation, and you select the device and assign a static IP address as 192.168.0.190. Most routers usually have the DHCP settings for addresses 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.199 generally static IP addresses must be placed towards the top end of the assignment of the address. NOW, IF ILS JUST GIVE US SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST< we="" wouldn't"t="" have="" to="" go="" through="" all="" of="" this="" cra{p="" to="" begin="">< but="" that="" would="" be="" to="" simple,="" right?="" anyways,="" for="" those="" of="" you="" having="" troubles="" like="" i="" was,="" i="" hope="" this="" helps="" you,="" good="" luck="" and="">

Moreover, with the new Setup, AVG firewall is correct and able to work with the printer, piece of cake FYI. I re-enabled it and just did a scan without problem. If it working (printer) not in the first place was not a firewall issue, but an installation problem, which can throw you off track, as he did me. But with a correct installation, it works very well with the AVG firewall.

  • Can't find model number, installation instructions for the unit duplex for printer all-in-one Officejet 6110

MY friend gave me a duplex unit to another printer 6100 series he had. We thought that it would be compatible. The HP site says that my all-in-one OfficeJet 6110 can use a duplexer, but that's all he says: no model number and no installation instruction.  Does anyone have any info or suggestions? I can't know just by looking at my printer.  (The duplexer No. FPU is C9101A).

    Thank you!

To install the duplexer, you must remove the rear blankpanel of your OJ 6110.  The rear panel will be approximately 9 "wide and 4" high with two s tab that can be moved together in the output panel.  Snap the duplexer in place once it is removed.  Make sure that it is oriented correctly, the label must be on the bottom.  Use large buttons on the ends of the duplex unit to release the duplexer if it is to be removed or moved.

With the duplex unit installed, you will need to configure it so that it is recognized by the driver.  See the post here for more information on activation of the duplexer.

    1. your iMac end 2013 supports the facilities of BIOS/MBR and GPT/EFI.

    2. the legacy BIOS/MBR method requires a hybrid MBR.

3 EFI/GPT is recommended for your specific model.

    4. you can use the GPT Fdisk steps in your link to make your drive a GPT disk only. It is not enough.

    5. you will need to convert the FAT32 partition space using the following OS X Terminal

    diskutil eraseVolume free disk0s4 FREE

This will return an error, because free space is not associated with disk slices.

    6. at this point, use the USB installer created by the wizard of BC, boot from it and hold down the Alt/Option key and select Boot EFI (not Windows). Point to the portion of the free space that you see after the + 620 MB Recovery HD. It will separate into a small (128 MB) MSR and the rest as MSD (NTFS).

    7. do not install W7 in Boot EFI, because it has some difficulties.

    8. when Windows is installed, and BC drivers are not installed, run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder.

    9. If csrutil is not found, you are in the recovery of the Internet, because your local Recovery HD is corrupted. The rescue of the failure of the local recovery is restoration of Internet. Your must be on El Capitan. There is no csrutil (or SIP) before El Capitan.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

Nowadays, most (if not all) laptops do not come with recovery media (CD/DVD, etc...)

Computers are equipped with discs hard (or SSD) that contains the two operating system (primary partition) and hidden recovery partition. Users can boot from these recovery (instead of primary) partitions and restore the default settings (for example in the infection by the virus or if corruption of Windows).  The user can also use the built-in software and can make a backup of recovery (on DVD or USB key). Here is just one example of how this can be done:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=bfn1IGP-TWC

Unfortunately, as you install another operating system (Linux-based) and that you have formatted the drive HARD/partitions, these partitions of recovery very probably are no longer present. In this case, you can take the path of the long (er). You need to buy HP recovery for your computer media.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03833718

Please, contact the nearest HP Office-> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

and ask the agent (via call phone/chat/email) to guide the recovery disc for your computer purchase. They are generally cheap and arrive quickly on.

Once you receive a recovery media (DVD), follow these instructions to recover your machine with Windows 8:

Grab your laptop of HP-> restore recovery disks

  • Satellite P100 - 160 PSPAAE: Question on the driver installation instructions

    Hello.

I recently bought a P100-160 model PSPAAE with Vista pre-installed. Like many others, I had no choice with the OS and my experience so far has left me wanting to go back to XP.

I found the page of appropriate support for the drivers (I guess I have to use the drivers for the PSPAA) and read the instruction sheet that comes with them. There are some questions I want answered before I start on this particular cliff.

The guidelines mention the SD card Format utility, but I see no mention of one in the list of drivers. It is included in one of the other drivers or is it not found elsewhere?

Why the Sun Java Runtime Environment is necessary?

I guess if my machine has no Bluetooth or Infra-red that I didn't need to load the drivers.

Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help.

    Kind regards

    John

Hi John, I recently went through the same process and after a few attempts, settled on the following as a reasonable XP installation (I don't need all that other stuff):

    Satellite Pro P100 (PSPAEA)

Chipset: Mobile Intel (r) 945 PM Express Chipset
    Memory controller: 82945 PM
    I/o Controller: Intel (r) 82801GBM i/o controller hub (ICH7M)

    What I installed...

    03 - display Driver
    04 chipset Driver
    05 - network - upgrade Ethernet driver
    06 - network wireless driver
    09 - sound Driver
10 - driver CardBus controller with UltraMedia
    12 - modem Driver
13 - modem region Select utility
    14 Bluetooth Stack
    15 - Bluetooth monitor
    17 Hotkey Utility
    21 - SD Secure Module
22 - SD memory card format
    28. DVD-RAM driver software
    33 user manual
TOSHIBA fingerprint digital-software (from Vista drivers)
    TOSHIBA-disk-Creater (from Vista drivers)

    What I do not installed...

01 - Microsoft Updates (I used Windows Update to do this)
    02. Sun Java Runtime Environment
    07. customer Intel utility
    08 Atheros Client Utility
    11 - touch pad Driver
    16 - C - infrared driver
    18 YPP/power button Utility
    19 utilities
    20 - buttons
    23 - assist
    24 - ConfigFree
    25 - zoom utility
    26 PC Diagnostic Tool
    27 CD/DVD Drive Acoustic Silencer
    29 WinDVD Creator
    30 - RecordNow
    31 DLA
    32 - DVD player

Note: for 05 - pilot network to install correctly, I had to upgrade the Device Manager ethernet controller.

The numbers relate to roughly the original installation instructions. I do not pretend that it's the perfect installation, only one who appears to be stable and suitable for my purposes...

With respect to the SD memory card Format driver, I found it somewhere, but I don't remember where (sorry). It has the following file name, even if once extracted (ToshibaSDMemoryCardFormat_v2100A.exe).

Hope this helps and please post your results as it is good to share their experiences.

    Regards, Rob

PS one of the biggest advantage I found was much better video support nVidia for Vista drivers were not very good and assured por.

  • Connection Manager HP stopped responding + Windows Installer Error 1719

    I am running Windows 7 (SP1) 64-bit operating systems.

Started getting an error message of connection manager HP "HP Connection Manager Service has stopped responding.  Error code 8008005.

    HP Connection Manager v4.1.23.1 running.
When I try to install a new version of v4.4.10.1 (SP58930) HP connection manager, I get an error of Windows Installer 1719.  Tried different solutions recommended for this, but nothing has worked.

I see in the forum after this uninstall of the current version and then install the new version of the HP connection manager can solve my original problem.

Before uninstalling the currenet HP Connection Manager version, I wanted to be sure that I will be able to install the new version without encountering Error 1719.  I don't want to be in an even worse situation of not being able to the HP Connection Manager after you uninstall it.

Can I get confirmation from HP that I will be able to successfully install a new version after uninstalling the current version?

What do you suggest I try next?

The fact that HP Connection Manager is no longer installed, how this will affect my computer?

The fact that it is no longer installed will have no effect on the functioning of your laptop and none on the operating system.

HP connection manager is simply a utility assistance for people who are making it difficult for the network through conections wifi and bluetooth connections.

If you are not in this group it is really useless.

From your description, it seems that if you can't follow instructions in the Microsoft fixit to the letter. By using the fixit is the easiest way to remove the registry entries and make changes to the registry that will allow installing and uninstalling software.  I can't recommend the methods that I use personally when I run on these issues because they involve access to the registry via regedit. The word people have never even heard of Regedit. Using Regedit can be a very bad thing for someone not experienced in the use of the registry editor.  All ch = angels did take place immediately and which included all the mistakes made during the access to the registry. Ongoing work on an operating system can fairly easily through the registry editor. Try the Microsoft fixit. It is a safe utility. Use it after an attempt to install and leave the window open until after error that does compete with the installation of the software.

  • I can't install Windows XP SP3. Windows Installer of my computer is buggy and I can't fix it.

Title really says it all, but I guess I can go into the details here.  I'm trying to update my PalmOne M505 to work with Windows XP.  I have the .exe file.  It uses Windows Installer to install so I can read my M505 with XP.  Problem: Windows Installer is completely planted on my computer for some reason any.

On a related note, I can't install updates; probably due to the installer of Windows being broken.  I followed the instructions on the page to support to the letter (and the number!), but it does not solve anything.  I could use a little help...

What the heck!  It is an error to Windows XP!  I did not in the Windows 7 forum.

  • Cannot access my profile. (Windows XP SP3) Problem apparently because of Windows Installer.

I can't connect to my profile, apparently because of a problem with Windows Installer.  It starts to open a session and when I try to access my documents I get a message unable to access my profile and if I'm logged a temporary profile: "Details: access to refusedowever, everything seems to be there, except for my usual wallpaper and I can access my files."  In the msconfig Services tab, Windows Installer shows as stopped. I tried to reinstall, but it won't download because of the error of windows install. The keyboard started to do fun things like key assignment got confused. My admin profile works except for the Windows Installer problem which stops remove me or update Java. I checked for malware and viruses (no) run "sfc/scannow" ad "chkdsk /f.  All system restore points are missing.  If I can access my files, the system asks me my first and last name and initials prior to providing access. I have now the temp profile open in safe mode and note that a file that I saved when you previously logged into the temp profile has been saved successfully to the new folder that I created. In addition, when you are connected to normal mode, I found that I couldn't access to Mozilla Firefox, open MS Internet Explorer and click on a link to something (can't remember what) and Mozilla Firefox open as usual.

Things that I did just before this problem appeared: installed and run Malwarebytes and Superantispyware, tried to update Java and VLM Media Player using AVAST! interface, and then without using AVAST! interface. Both failed, but something else I've updated OK. Tried to download and install Windows Installer 4.5 (without success). So I then tried to repair/reinstall command of the race by using regedit and regserver command screen.

I wonder whether to follow the instructions in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756. However, as it asks me to back up the registry before you edit it. As all my previous restore points disappeared, I don't trust to back up the registry. How can I back up the registry of my external hard drive?

You have a damaged or corrupted user profile.  A way to recover from this condition is to perform a system restore, but since you have no restore points, you will need to recover with another method.  The usual way to recover is to create a new user profile and then copy the data from the damaged to the new profile user profile.  This procedure is not usually difficult.  Choose from the selection below:

Almost always, corruption of the profiles is accompanied, otherwise caused corruption in the file system.  At an ideal time, it is strongly recommended to perform a 'chkdsk' operation with the "/ R" or "Repair" option.  Note that this operation will take place at the next reboot before Windows loading completely, cannot be interrupted and can take more than a few hours depending on the size/speed of hard disk and the number of errors found...  Sometimes, this in-and-of-itself can solve the problem.

To answer your question on the backup of your registry - try the freeware "C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT" to create a backup.  It has been used and recommended in this forum for years.

  • iTunes update errors with the following message appears: there is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the set up did not complete as expected.

    iTunes error update

I am trying to install an update to iTunes on my laptop and find the folowing part-way through the installation error:

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the set up did not complete as expected. Contact your provider to support personal or package. »

I got iTunes for 3-4 years now and have always been able to install updates successfully, so don't not sure what is the problem.

I tried msconfig and changed the boot process, so it includes all of the non-Windows elements, as suggested on the Microsoft Web site, but that has not worked.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

The instructions were to contact the vendor of the package. This isn't iTunes, Microsoft.
