Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  The first thing that I would suggest you do is run the System File Checker.  The link below will provide information on this tool.  You want to run the "SFC/scannow" option  You will need your XP CD for this tool in case we need to correct all files.

Hello, I have problems with Firefox crashes immediately after clicking on its icon.

Firefox version is 41.0.2.5765, Windows exception code c0000005 (000497e8) the defective module ntdll.dll, version 6.3.9600.18007.

Safe mode, the profile manager crashes too. I tried to do a fresh install which did not help...
After that, I deleted my profile files, deleted temporary files, reinstalled Firefox, restarted the PC - problem persists.

Unfortunately no newspaper is registered by Firefox.exe after the accident (folder/APPDATA/Roaming/Mozilla is empty).
    PC works fine otherwise.

If the problem has been fixed. For all those who might happen to fall on this post:

Firefox crash is caused by a problem of compatibility between Anti-Exploit Malwarebytes and Kaspersky Anti-virus. This problem has been resolved already my Malwarebytes sometime there are, but a recent update of Kaspersky AV brought. Can be solved by installing the latest beta version of Malwarebytes (1.08).

  • Digital Photo Professional crash with ntdll.dll

Digital Photo Professional crash with ntdll.dll Module fault. Error message reads Viewer DPP module has stopped working, and then closes. Failed application DPPViewer.exe, version 3.8.0.0 failing module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18005

Please please help, this problem makes me crazy.   I used Canon's Digital Photo Professional for a little while, then all of a sudden it started crashing whenever I go into one folder other than the one it opens upward in, which is the office.  I had updated some drivers between it works and does not not and maybe do a few other things, but nothing significant that pilots.  I've restored since the pilots said, they were the USB drivers in Device Manager, but they are back to normal now.  I uninstalled and reinstalled many times and we have tried various other things also.  Please HELP, it is important in my work flow software.

I opened the event viewer, and that's what it came with:

    Failing application DPPViewer.exe,

    version 3.8.0.0.

    timestamp 0x4b2f0b54,

    failed ntdll.dll module,

    version 6.0.6002.18005.

    timestamp 0x49e03821,

    exception 0xc0000374 code,

    offset 0x000afaf8,

    process 0xa98 ID,

    start time of application 0x01cadce8e36a701b.

I spoke to Canon and they said that, because it is ntdll.dll that causes the problem, then is there nothing they can do.  I noticed that the ntdll.dll version is the same version that the drivers I have has been updated since and am now back to.  Is there a link? Really bad, I need this problem sorted and preferably without a new installation of windows.

    Thanks a lot a lot.

    Jakob Tungelund

    Hello

The DPPViewer.exe is a Canon utility to check with their support for any updates and/or
known issues. The error occurs when not not using the program from Canon? If not then it is in fact
caused by the program of Canon or its associated drivers.

The ntdll.dll is actually leads to the fault and it not actually the cause of the error.

  • Programs closing failing module NTDLL. DLL

    Failed module NTDLL. DLL

A couple of days started programs closing without error. When I look at the report in the event viewer, I see that the failed module is ntdll.dll that it becomes really annoying because it hampers my ability to do my job. This affects programs such as Chrome, FireFox, Apache, and Spyware Doctor.

Do you get this problem if you test in safe mode?

    Startup options (including safe mode)

If the problem is not reproducible in Mode safe, see if you can follow the next article and isolate the cause.

You could also test the problem when you are connected to another user (that you may need to create test purposes).

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

A check for malicious software could be interesting, too.

    Hello

I am happy that the problem didn't happen after the downgrade.

Ntdll.dll is mainly concerned with system tasks and includes a number of features of kernel mode that allows a "Windows Application Programming Interface (API)". The ntdll.dll is also responsible for messages, timing, threading and synchronization in the operating system.

Since you don't have any problems, I wouldn't worry about the dll file.

There is nothing in the app logs to indicate that the application has been done nothing at the time wherever it crashed. He has done a few times before (but seldom - once every two weeks or more).
