70 d EOS problems

  • My 70 d EOS started giving a message to BUSY State whenever you press the the shutter button if the flash is open automatically or manually.  The message will appear for about 10-15 seconds and then an error code 50. I also get a fairly persistent message that says 'miscommunication between the lens and the camera. Clean the lenses of contact with soft Microfiber cloth and reinstall. "I did the cleaning asked several times on each of my three Canon lenses.  The described problems occur with all three lenses. I have also turned the camera and then turn it on again several times and removed battery and reinstalled several times as requested by the code 50 error message. Nothing did. Any thoughts?

Larry,

"Clean the contacts of the lens with a soft Microfiber cloth and reinstall."

I've never seen this book.  But guys, I've talked to say it does sometimes.  Changing the target tends to clean the contacts.  I suspect that it only works for people who rarely change their goal.

Error 50 suggested remedies is to turn off the power, then remove and reinstall the battery. Then turn the power back on.

If this does not work, you end up with a service call that you need to do today.

  • Problem with flash Speedlite 320EX and EOS Rebel T3i (EOS600D)

Hi, for about 18 months, I've used this combination without a single glitch or problem. I bought the Speedlite old second hand, and all died on me in Nov. The guy I bought said it was about 3-4 years wneh I t so I thought that I just replace the same model, but buy a new one this time.

Since it seems however not the flash unit at full power at times and at others seems not synchronized with the shutter. Sometimes it works fine, but then doesn't flash at all or has a problem that I describe above. I have returrned the flash at the company and they said their technician checked and it works fine.

Anyone else have these problems or indeed solved these problems? Any suggestions would be very welcome.

    Thank you in advance.

PS. edited title because I just discovered the EOS600D called the EOS Rebel T3i in the USA. I'm from Scotland.

    Bravo for the answer.

Ten minutes for each flash? In theory there could be something wrong with the condenser and the unit needs service.

Ten minutes, then you can fire flashes several before he had to rest again? Most likely, the batteries are weak or inappropriate to the task. Make sure you use Eneloop pros. Most serious photographers think that there is nothing better.

  • EOS Solution Disk v28.1 on Mac installation problem.

Yesterday, I received the EOS camera 700 d and when I tried to install the EOS Solution Disk nothing happened. Nothing seems to happen when I click on the install icon. This happened to someone?

Same problem, same camera - t5i.  On a MacBook Pro running OS 10.9 mavericks.

I have the version of the software 28.0

I fixed it by creating a different user (with administrator privileges), and with this user, I could install the software and will then go to my normal user who then had the software installed.

A little inconvenience and had to do some internet research on other forums to find it, but it works.  I hope that canon will solve the problem for others.

  • EOS T3i - Autofocus problem

Hi gang... I have an intermittent problem with an EOS T3i I bought for my wife.

It was a purchase of kit that came with the 18-55 mm IS II lens.

It seems that the autofocus function works imtermittently on my camera. I still have 2 months left on the warranty, but I want to run this by the group.

At startup, the unit works very well. The autofocuses of stepper motor, the camera's going to break a few (or more) pictures. I'll hear the engine step by step to do its thing, auto focus points viewfinder shows and illuminate. Confirmaiton focus light begins to blink. The camera will make the two beep. the camera will take the picture.  Now when things go wrong, they go really wrong for this device.

If I change a scene where the camera will have to move the lens and the automatic re-development. Engine step th does not light, auto focus points viewfinder will not not turn on and the right focus confirmation light will blink. If I press the shutter button, nothing happens. I have no beep.

I called Canon support and they suggested a low level format. I did it but the problem persists.

just need conformation that it's not normal behavior and I was wondering if anyone else had this type of problem. Thank you very much! :

OK you need start the normal process of elimination.

The lens works on another camera?

The camera works with a different lens?

The contacts between the lens and the camera are clean? Try denatured alcohol and a q-tip.

You have already set the camera to the factory settings? It is not the memory card, BTW. The unit should work if she has a card in it or not.

If these simple things have no success, a repair shop is probably expected.

You ever need connect your device directly. Buy a card reader for
the type of flash card your camera uses (they are cheap).
Place the flash card and plug it into a USB port.

Personally, I prefer to do it this way. It is easier and does not use
the camera battery. I have both these card readers - one I keep on
my desk, close my desktop computer and another that I keep in my
Bag for laptop to use when traveling.

I recently changed my camera to an EOS 500 d to a 70 d and now find I can't open the RAW files, even if my Photoshop says that he is up to date when he is questioned through creative cloud.  However, when I check the version of Camera RAW uses in 2014 PhotoShopCC is 8.0.0.137.  I tried to find and download the recommended version 8.2, but everything gave me was to provide me with a DNG Converter, that has not helped.  I contacted the cat online Adobe but part-crossing lost the connection and I cannot restore again to complete the process of their operative took me through.

  • EOS Rebel SL1 Mode Dial problems

Hi, I don't know much about cameras, but I've always wanted a nice like that, and a friend of mine told me that the SL1 was good for beginners. It came in the mail today and I just started to experiment and play around with it. I don't know if it's something I did by mistake or it's just a problem with the camera, but I realized that the Mode dial is not correctly programmed. In order to develop if I had to turn the knob to the symbol A + (I'm sorry if this isn't what it's called), the camera will enter the function of sports. I'm sorry, but I really do not understand this and I would love it if someone could help me. Thank you!

    Hmmm.

On this camera, the sport mode is directly opposite the position of the mode A + (Auto).  There is a small pip as an indicator on the camera on the left side of the dial.

Are you sure you look white pip and not power on leverage as an indicator?

    If so, that's the problem.

    Otherwise:

Do ALL modes to register as one just in front of the right pair, or they are all Sports are random or something?

Patterns are printed on a sheet of thin "cap" which is literally glued on top of the handle.  I know because mine fell once and I had to stick on.  I guess it's possible they put on back at the factory, but I don't think because there was a small crack in the button and a tab in the CAP, which have to align or well you can not set the cap in the flush.

If you read right and the button won't you need to return the camera.

  • EOS Rebel T3 battery problems

    Hello

I had my camera maybe 8-9 months ago, and I tried to understand this battery problem since then. The original battery supplied with the camera hardly worked at all. I would like to load completely, and then it would take about 5 pictures and then caput. The camera told me to reload.

I bought a new battery (battery official canon) and this one does a little better job. However, I have always charged between uses. I remove the battery from the device between uses, but whenever I have turn it back on again it could last 10 pictures before having to recharge. I even bought a new charger thinking that maybe it was the charger that was not working, but that has not helped the problem.

So my question is: the batteries don't last long in general? Is it normal to have to recharge the battery after each use? This could be a problem with my camera I'll need to send it to be fixed?

No, they do not get hot to the touch. In fact, if I plug it into the charger, the charger shows a green light full load after a few minutes.

The camera will show a full charge for a minute and then turns off with the message "recharge" the next. After turning on the back, the battery indicator usually will show a full charge again.

I am under the impression that the problem lies in the camera and have contacted support to try to resolve the problem. Thank you all for your help!

  • EOS 50 d, Flash problems

I tried to take a picture that required the use of a flash. Him build-in flash "should have" popped up, but it did not. I couldn't, electronically via the flash button, do come. After going to the 'Flash' settings, under '' integrated '' I got the message "cannot display this menu. External Flash is attached. "Under"External Flash", I got"unable to display this menu. Not compatible flash or the flash output is off. «The last message was posted under the flash settings external and «Clear flash ext...» "I erased all settings of the camera, deleted/replaced battery, changed the battery to an another one (to the authentic times) and nothing fixed the problem.
I tried to raise the flash with my fingers but I'm afraid I'll break anything by doing this.
I rarely use flash anyway, but the only time where I wanted...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Firmware: Version 1.0.9

This unit has never had an external flash attached, via the hot shoe or PC terminal.

If it indicates that the external flash is attached to what it means is that the sensor in the hot shoe is probably stuck.

The shoe shot has two "rails" hold an external flash and each rail has a "spring blades.  Use a toothpick (or something that is used to scratch the camera) and * carefully * lift springs.  On one of them, you will see a small button (probably black).  It is a 'micro switch '.   When you drag in a Flash, this button is depressed, and that's how the camera knows that you have attached an external flash (in which case she will not try to use the internal flash.)

These micro-switches can (and obviously do) become 'glued' anytime.  Shake the micro-switch with the toothpick and it probably just "pop up" for you.  If you want, remove the battery from the camera and then pick up a drop of denatured alcohol and drop it on the switch to help dissolve anything that might be what actually stick.  Do not use any type of oil (oil just will help collect more dust and it erases everything.)  The alcohol evaporates so you won't have anything left out Gummy.  You probably won't have the alcohol, but if the switch is not free pop up, then it would be one of the ways.

  • I have problems to import photos from the Canon EOS 70 d in Lightroom on a macbook pro

When I try to import photos from my Canon EOS70D in Lightroom, first I get "Preview not available for this file" for all files on the camera. If I check a few photos to import Lightroom said then that's important but the pictures never import and eventually I have to cancel the import. I tried to import a picture and this same thing is happening.

I don't think that is the cable or the camera that I can import into iPhoto from the camera using the same cable.

    All advice appreciated.

It's ok thank you, I found the problem. I have to let the camera connected to the laptop for a while. Finally, all files have thumbnails, and then I can import them. I tried before import them too quickly.

  • I recently bought a new Canon, downloaded an updated EOS and now Photoshop won't open my RAW images.  I tried several of the suggestions of others who seem to have the same problem but without success.

Whenever I try to download an update it is said that it is not necessary.  I'm not as tech savvy as I noticed some of you all are but any help would be greatly appreciated.

In photoshop cs6 go to help > about plug-in, click on the words of Camera Raw and see what version it says.

If less than 8.8, try one of the linked below camera raw 9.1.1 installers then and I hope that your T6i files will open in photoshop cs6.

Try this camera raw 9.1.1 installer

or if it does not, this one under Camera Raw 9.1.1 installer:

  • Download problems image cable Canon camera

I have a brand new computer laptop Mac Book Pro with OS El Capitan, and I am trying to download my pictures from my compact camera Gx1 to the laptop via the camera download cable. Of course I've already installed the Canon Canon Utilities Window /Camera of its CD image software (has been attached to the camera when it was purchased). (The Canon EOS Utility software, which I also installed it, is exclusively for my Canon EOS camera models). However, the download of the image does not work either.

Images are downloaded into the folder Mac (program?) "Bilder" (*) (Images (?) in the version of Mac OS English?) where I certainly don't want to, I want to download my images in my own folder structure that distinguishes for example camera model/date photo taken/RAW files or jpeg etc. The folder Mac (program?) "Bilder" (Images (?) in the version of Mac OS English?) may be authorized to store the images simple iPhone 6s I take, but certainly not Raw files of my actual cameras!

(*) "Bilder" (Images (?) a multicolored a little icon circle in the operating system Mac - Mac (program?) file

The thing very strange, as the first two weeks of use my brand new computer computer laptop Mac Book Pro, the image download to the Mac via the cable from my camera Canon G1x worked as planned, but AFTER I once (the first time ever to purchase date computer I tried to upload pictures to my iPhone 6 s new Mac) I downloaded images to the Mac from my iPhone 6 s via the cable of the iPhone, the camera G1x download system image failed. I seems as if my download of images from the iPhone 6 s "Insider" start-up of the Mac OS (program) folder

the 'Pictures' folder (Images (?) in English Mac OS version?) and the laptop Mac assumes that I want to download all the images, as for example my G1x camera RAW files in the 'Pictures' folder (Images (?) in the version of Mac OS English?).. . DEFINITELY NOT!

I am terribly frustrated now and do not feel the I get any understanding or assistance from Apple support.

This description of the problem will also be sent to the camera of Canon Inc., informing them of my issues with Mac OS El Capitan.

Someone experienced with Mac, a friend of mine, said that "as usual, Apple"cache"the images and makes them normally inaccessible in the Finder. If you want to work wth them in another program (also), you must export the images of "Bilder" * (Images ()) - not at all practical, which means that two copies of images.

Joined 9 screenshots - .png and .jpg files (. png files show how Mac views are displayed, show the .jpg files "how it should be regarded with correct download cables", the screenshots of the interface come however from a laptop with XP Home, not Mac OS operating system.

The first two weeks of work with my Mac, the 'Download desired cable interfaces"WERE EVEN in what concerns the PC referred to above.

    Hi CanalogSE,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your new Mac. You're talking about the 'Bilder' application seems to be the new application Photos, replacement of preparations on the previous iPhotos. If you wish, you can read more about it here:

    Apple OS X - pictures.

Start with Photos for OS X - Apple support

From your description, it seems that if you have connected your iPhone to import your photos, she may have inadvertently changed the overall picture import settings by launching Photos for the first time (since importing default photos for devices iOS in El Capitan's Photos). If you want to change the application for importing photos by default for when you connect your Canon Gx1 (for example, for the Canon software), you should be able to get rid of it in another application called Image Capture; I'm not clear what would be the name translated, but it should have this icon:

    Image Capture help

In the Image Capture with your camera connected, you should see an option in the lower left corner to opens the connection this [device]: which will allow you to select your preferred; application If you don't see this, you may need to click on the the icon to display these options.
