I have a Windows 7 Desktop HPE-410y, this morning, that the flag of the action center was at the bottom of the screen.  I clicked on it and there was a message: AMD/ATI Video Driver has stopped working properly.  He also said I should click on a link for a solution to this problem, but of course when I made the site of HP said that the page does not exist.

Maybe say if you have in fact noticed nothing else Action Center indicator would be useful.  If it seems to you that the computer was OK and run satisfactorly, then perhaps he had already solved the problem.  Usually reviews can occur if a program did unexpected things and crashed the video driver, then the driver recovered.

HP site can be set to an old page.  The real driver has not been updated recently on the HP site.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (video/driver update, BIOS, and)
    chipset drivers)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows

older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it) and
Then, get new ones manually if you wish.

  • Re: Qosmio X 500 - video driver has stopped responding

    Hi people,

Recently (2 weeks ago) I started having some slight problems with my X 500, to be more precise Windows sometimes reports that the driver has stopped responding, but managed to restarted. When this happens the screen goes black, flashes several times and turns back on. But the strange thing is that this happens when the laptop has been used for MS Word/Excel/IE and high intensity graphic has been past nothing since he has been powered.

My first thought was to update the drivers, since Toshiba downloaded the new nVidia ones a few weeks ago, but the problem persists. So I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems and what would be the best way to solve it? Would it be possible that something is wrong even with the gpu itself?

    Hi Snowy161_1,

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and the solution is pretty easy: update the display driver. I removed the current version and restarted the laptop. Then I used CCleaner to remove the keys in the Windows registry and restarted again. Finally and most importantly, I downloaded and installed the new display from here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

By the way: the original windows from Toshiba installed at the moment?

  • Firefox Beta 23 crashed 5 times in the last hour since the update, twice with a BSOD of video driver failure. I can't understand another way to this post.

FF was running fast and stable until the beta update tonight. Later he crashed several times, sometimes with a total system crash, sometimes with a system is unresponsive, sometimes with a video driver leading to a BSOD crash.

I had to DL 22 release and restore. I am now on the output channel, not the beta channel.

System Setup: Dell Latitude 6410, Win 7 x 64, 128 GB SSD, 4 GB of RAM, Intel video hardware. Everything is up-to-date.

Trying to get out before it blocks again and then switching to 22.

    Java plugin is usually disabled.
Toolbars are ABP, disconnection and download status bar.

    Update:

Have been able to run > 4 hours stable release 22 without hardware acceleration and long-awaited performance. I identified that my Crucial necessary M4 SSD firmware updated because of a problem that causes the BSOD after 5000 operating hours. Since the firmware update has been applied, I was stable.

Firefox may have been a catalyst, not a culprit. I wonder if my BSOD troubles began because FF or FF, as Flash module, was trying to make the disk space which had been rendered difficult by my bad SSD firmware.

Will post again in 24 HR works normally on 22 and then try 23 update to see if it is resolved.

Thank you all for the input. Hope my comments are useful somehow.

  • My Satellite P300 forget sometimes load the video driver

My laptop (Satellite P300) sometimes "forget" to start to load the videodriver.
If the resolution is by default in the Windows startup screen.
No matter what version of Windows I have, all the drivers are up to date.

When I restart for the most part, the problem is solved...

To be honest I never heard of something like that. in recent years, my brother has P300. In the beginning he used with original Vista and 2 years its P300 works with Win7. No problem at all.

I don't know which OS you are using now, but have you tried reinstalling the video driver (display)?
I also hope that you are using driver on Toshiba download page.

  • Satellite A305-S6858 win XP video driver does not

I recently bought a Satellite A305-S6858 in the States and I went down the Edition Vista Home premium preinstalled
for Win XP 32 sp 3. I had several problems to lift the computer up and running. After reading several posts
on various forums, I managed to install the OS, but I still cannot use the Intel video driver.
After the installation of those available on the toshiba site I still have in the Device Manager under the node for the video card
2 entries for 965 Chipset Mobile with an exclamation point.
I recently discovered that not having is not the video driver installed the operating system does not allow Stanby and Hibernate power options.
If someone has stumbled in the same issue?
    Thank you

You must install the basic drivers first.

Try to install the driver for the Chipset Intel first, then the display driver.

  • Satellite P205-S6277: video driver Sonix USB replaced chicony webcam drive

    Somewhere along the line;
My Chicony 2.0 USB Driver for the webcam has replaced with a Sonix USB video driver.
The video cam works well, but the snapshot control does not work.

My laptop is a Satellite P205-S6277.

How can I solve this problem?

The fact is that Toshiba offers good driver and webcam also help software. The cam should work well with them.
I don't know why you're Sonix USB video driver now, but if you're not convinced use Toshiba taking care of things.

Toshiba doesn't support third party software and drivers, and the situation should be clear about that.

  • Error video driver on Satellite Pro A60

I had problems with my Toshiba A60 which has just run out of warranty. About a week ago I started getting blue screen errors and kept restarting my laptop. Once it had restarted using Microsoft error checking that it has been said that there is a problem with the video device driver.

Since the video driver in my laptop is the first thing I did to ATI mobility graphics chip 7000 IGP has been download a new, updated driver from the Toshiba site for this. Unfortunately this did not remedy the error. I was getting the errors blue stop screen, so to try to combat this, I reduced the hardware acceleration on the Panel against zero in case of problem, but there is not good.

When to start the laptop I just get the F8 screen first for giving me options to start Windows, main characters in the text are flickering and disappeared.
I've updated several different drivers etc on the Toshiba site one being the BIOS of the victory. Looking at the forums, I realized that I'm not the only one with this problem. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    Hello

Unfortunately, if the blue screen error message is displayed if it s software mainly heavy fault or malfunction of the equipment.
To find out what's wrong the best way to reinstall the entire Windows operating system.
If this procedure works correctly, so it could be a software problem. But if is not possible to install the operating system or the error message appears again after the new installation so there must be something wrong with the hardware. In your case, maybe it s the chip of the graphics card.

  • Pavilion dv7-6135dx screens on the video driver blue igdpmd64.sys after the platform update KB2670838

Windows Update has delivered platform update KB2670838 Feb. 27.

After that, any time I open Internet Explorer, I get a blue screen of death which calls igdpmd64.sys, which is part of the video driver.

I tried to install the latest video driver HP site was for this machine, even though it is dated as a couple of years.  But he says that I don't have the minimum requirements.   !!??

I tried a restore point before and everything was fine.

I let go of the front through the platform Windows Update again and the same problem.

Now today I have no restore point so I can't go back.

Because now I am simply not using IE, everything else works fine so far.

    Here are my questions...

    1. is this a known problem of someone else?  Is there an article on the best solution anywhere yet?

    2. suggested approaches to solve this?

    3. How can I get the alternative video drivers to try?

3A. HP Site latest since this laptop says that it does not meet the min requirements!

3B. should I even try the following more old?

3 c. pros and cons of try the drivers of Intel or ATI sites instead of on HP site

    4. If after testing things, if I wanted to reinstall my current driver, how 'save', or protect some how now?  (I think THAT it is the original of the 2011 original installation schedule)

    5. How can I do to reinstall the video driver as 'supplied with the machine', for example since the recovery D: partition?

    6. If I end up having to reinstall Windows, how to do that since the recovery partition?

    Hey cfravel,

All major issues! Sorry to hear that you use in the blue screens, but you did a good job of troubleshooting. I'll answer the questions in the order that you asked them.

1 and 2.  Here is a link to the Microsoft Forumwhere there was a similar question. It looks like uninstalling and hiding the implementation update will correct the problem. To uninstall an update,

    • Click Start
    • Program 'type '.
    • Click on programs and features
    • Click View Installed Updates (left)
    • Search for KB2670838.
    • Select this option and click on uninstall.

    To hide the update,

    • Click Start
    • Type "update".
    • Click on Windows Update
    • Click Find updates
    • Click "# important updates available"
    • Search for KB2670838
    • Right-click on it and click on hide (you can always restore hidden updates in the future if you want by clicking on "restore hidden updates" from the main screen of Windows Update.

    3. here is the correct driver for your laptop HP Special Page. I think you're probably already doing it correctly, but just in case. How many times have you tried this driver? Try a couple of times.

3B. Yes you could certainly try the next previous driver.

3 c. the drivers coming from Intel or ATI are almost the same driver in most cases. We invite you to try them because they can always be uninstalled. Just, they are not guaranteed to work properly for your specific model.

    4. There are two versions of the driver for your ATI video chip. These and all future versions will still be available on your driver page. Click on the link under the latest driver that says "available versions" for a complete list of all the versions that are never released.

    5. to reinstall the driver of origin or any other original software that is preinstalled on your laptop, you can use HP Recovery Manager.

    • Click Start
    • Type "HP recovery".
    • Click HP Recovery Manager
    • Click re - install the drivers and software.
    • Scroll through the list and select drivers or software to install. These drivers will still be available on your page of driver as well.

6 here is a link on how to reinstall Windows from the recovery partition. In the links in blue at the top, click on "Recovering from the start (in the system startup) screen". This is a very simple process.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if these suggestions helped (it could help others with similar issues). I'll keep an eye out for your answer!
