    Hello

I just bought a HP Envy 17 - j020us today. It came stock with Windows 8 is installed and I have, for my own reasons, decided to install Windows 7 above. Long story short, the installation has worked, for the most part. The only problem was that I was missing some drivers. I searched and found http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/ENVY-17-j020us-windows-7-driver... which was very helpful. However, there's still about 3 pieces of material that is not installed, the drivers with the network controller. I have attached hardware IDS and compatible IDS is available upon request for any "missing" material below. Can someone help me find the drivers?

    Network controller - hardware ID:

How can I remove windows box office and upcoming facebook in the start menu

I moved your question answers feedback to Windows desktop and personalization areas.

You care to offer up what version of Windows, you are talking about but if it's Windows 7, I would right-click on the offending list and either:

    1. Remove from this list , is that the entry is in the most recent lower part / area most often used.
    2. Delete the Start Menu if the entry is pinned in the Start Menu (above the most recent / most often used).
  • Information about 8.1 of Windows and office 365.

I currently use Windows XP [licensed Version] with Office 2003 and joined Microsoft. Due to the news coming from Microsoft, now I intend to buy the 8.1 of Windows and Office 365.  How can I identify the version gave me is the real 8.1 Windows instead of Windows 8.  What is the capacity of the equipment required for the loading of the above mentioned software?  My current computer is purchased in 2006, which is the brand. Please notify.

If your computer came with Windows XP, you may not have the drivers from the manufacturer in support of Windows 8.  But it is worth the visit.

Here is a good resource, Microsoft has created to guide you.  Go to http://www.amirunningxp.com/ on your Windows XP computer.  It will give you guidelines for upgrading to Windows 8.1 and offers an "Advisor update Windows" that will scan your system and say whether the upgrade will work for you.

  • Windows Vista not reponding: Windows Installer, Office 2007 (Outlook), add/remove programs, System Restore, etc...

    Gentleperson,

I am looking for a solution fix my PC, HP Pavilion Slimline. Windows install Office 2007 (Outlook), add/remove programs and the system restore will not work. The apparent problem is a file corrupted in the system, based on the forums of Windows and Office 2007 and published articles.

    I tried the following:

    • Retore system Mode safe mode and in Safe Mode network - without success
    • In Normal Mode Windows Vista will not respond to the system restore or the Add/Remove programs - without success
    • Chkdsk/r - unsuccessfully
    • sfc/scannow won't answer - no success
    • Msconfig.exe helped with a clean boot; However, this does not solve the problem...
    • Windows Installer is in auto status, but can not start; I have a 1053 error messsage... too slow

As it can be seen, there is a problem with my operating system. I have a recovery disk to format my PC in its original configuration. However, I have not saved my files that I won't lose to the formatting. Please advice.

    Thanks in advance,

  • Why is it not my multitasking computer? Is - this Windows 7, Office 2010, Kaspersky?

    Here is the scenario...

I have Notepad. EXE is open.
I click the icon of MS Word 2010 to open it & the projection of "loading" screen opens.
Until the word is fully loaded and initialized, I don't and then close Notepad.
In fact, it seems that my computer gets little froze up.

I thought that one of the features and benefits of a modern operating system were "multitasking".
I vaguely remember being able to do this under Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, and Office 2003 completely new to Office 95 (don't remember with Win 3.1 and Office 2.0).
However, this has been the normal behavior on this system (Windows 7, Office 2010, SONY VAIO i3 w/2 GB of RAM, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012) since the first day.

    What gives?
    Computers don't multitasking no more?
Is it the fault of Office 2010, Windows 7, Kaspersky Internet Security?

Have you tried to disable Kaspersky? Kaspersky is well known for hanging systems, as well as Norton and McAfee. Part of it has to do with the 'package' of tools
that sucks resources when running in the background.

Microsoft Security Essentials has become very popular. I always use Avast, which is the user-friendly resource.

Another thing that often slows down machines when the TEMP folder is too full.
Run Disk Cleanup Windows occasionally, or for a big cleanup using CCleaner.
Do not use if the registry CCleaner cleaner (or any other registry "cleaners"). Registry cleaners are not really necessary on modern systems.
Alternatively, you can manually delete the files in the TEMP folder. Go to your folder of user name > AppData > Local > TEMP and delete the batch. It will not remove files that are still in use.

If I run my windows without parallels my windows and my desktop is enabled, but if I'm running my parallels then my windows and my office cannot be activated.

My problem is to activate my windows and office via parallels desktop.

I had installed windows a parallel office several times, also, I installed several times parallel tools with the parallels desktop menu bar and when I install parallels desktop tools in a way that I see the (CTRL + ALT)

all of my app in windows working correctly via parallels desktop except

Recommend Parallels you re-enable by phone when you start a Boot Camp install via Parallels:

    http://KB.parallels.com/en/9703

The same thing would be required for Office too.

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

  • How can I reinstall Windows and Office without discs when they came pre-installed on the computer?

    Hello

We have recently purchased 2 new computers with Windows 7 and Office installed 2013. The company that has provided computers and software feed no CD - key for the software saying that Microsoft supplies more CD-Keys.

There is a recovery on the hard drive partition, but if this hard drive breaks down how we reinstall the software?

Here are four utilities, which can display your product keys if they are still there:
    Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

(He did a good job of providing a wealth of information.)

    Also: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml
    and: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
and RockXP: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4138.html which has additional features

NirSoft, in particular, is the product key for modern versions of Windows and Office.

I recommend that you create a system image of each computer by backing up the installations of Windows 7 on an external hard drive. This will allow you to save the penalty to restore in the future in case of failure:

  • Windows 7 Office 2010 & office toolbar?

    Windows 7 Office 2010 & office toolbar?

At home, I'm going to WindowsXP OfficeXP to Windows 7 Office 2010 (jump 2007)... I love my 'to-do bar' @ the bottom... but would also have a "Desktop" toolbar on the right side.  Many people will wonder why I want or need this... & I am probably not... It's just that I like it that way & since almost 20 years I was able to configure my screen this way... And since I'm a creature of habit... I would do the same thing with Office 2010.

Can I do this?  (And if all goes well, I described my system (old, new) correctly.  Quite frankly, I'm never sure here?) ... Thank you... K

  • When I uninstall & reinstall MS-Windows & MS-Office (HDisk upgrade do), how to avoid licenses lose

    Hey there

How to avoid Microsoft OS & Office licenses to lose?

Because it's the same machine, you don't deplete all your licenses when you reinstall on the same hardware. In some cases, the reactivation by phone may be required:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

Original title: Works Suite 2003 will not install on windows 7. compatibility issue? If so how to solve it.

I tried to install Works Suite 2003 on my laptop using Windows 7, 64 bit. He has a problem loading and wants to perform a clean boot. The boot minimal instructions do not apply to windows 7, so how can I get this Microsoft program on this computer running a Microsoft OS?

    Hello

    ·        Which edition of Windows 7 you are using?

Works Suite 2003 is not compatible with Windows 7. Click on the link below.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?l=en-us&type=software&s=works%20Suite%202003%20&OS=64-bit

You can try the byAndre.Ziegler suggested in his previous post suggestions, but note that XP mode will only work if you have Windows 7 Professional / Enterprise / ultimate.

Apart from this, you can install the program in compatibility mode and check if it works or not.
