8500 a fail scan document feeder, even if the 'Original chargé' indicator is on

My four-in-one is a HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Premium a

My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.

I use Adobe Acrobat to scan documents, and until recently, the process went well:

  1. Insert documents into the document feeder
  2. Printer sounds a chime, and touch screen says "charge Original."
  3. Click on 'Create document from the scanner' Acrobat software
  4. Pages are drawn from the feeder and scanned

This is how it has ALWAYS worked, until recently.

In the last few days, however, the process has changed. The first three steps above, are the same. However, step #4 is now:

4. the pages in the document feeder are ignored

(there is no sound indicating that the document feeder is enabled)

and analysis follows the scanner flat glass

Note that if I scan from an application that allows me to specify whether to use the flat glass OR the document feeder, the printer works properly. In other words, I can indicate that the documents are in the sandbox, and they are then drawn away and scanned.

Note also that if I run a scan of the touch screen of the printer (rather than Adobe Acrobat), it works correctly.

And finally, if in Acrobat, I said that the scanning process should show "native interface of the scanner" then I can specify "Document feeder" and the scan works properly.

But until recently, I could get Acrobat "hide the native interface" and scans would work.

It's like there is a "source of default document" in the scanner preferences somewhere, and the default value has been replaced by "flat." But if there is such a context, I was unable to find it.

Problem solved!

HP support has determined that it was not a printer problem. They suspected a problem with Adobe Acrobat.

With the help of Adobe Acrobat Tech support, I discovered a corrupted installation of Adobe Acrobat file inside on my computer. Removing and then reinstalling Adobe Acrobat has solved my problem.

    Try this:

    1. Open your scanned document and do not forget that there is good contrast. The native scan may need help.
    2. Duplicate the background layer, then turn off the visibility of the background layer by clicking on the "eye" icon. Work on the background copy layer
    3. Download the magic wand out of the toolbox tool, tolerance set at 32 (may have to experiment with this value), uncheck the "contiguous"... Left-click on a substantive area white. Press DELETE on the keyboard. Press CTRL + D to get rid of the dotted moving line.
    4. Set your foreground on cd0303 color chip
    5. CTRL + left click on the thumbnail of the layer with the writing, then edit > fill selection > foreground color
    6. Press CTRL + D
    7. Go to Select >, then change stroke (outline) selection. Race position inside, fixed width of race based on
    8. Remove the background layer, and then save to the file format which preserves transparency.

    I have a Hp Deskjet 3520 printer all-in-one.  The user manual says there is a way to scan multiple pages to a pdf file.  However, even though I unchecked the box in the settings for 'create a separate file for each analysis', it gives me still no option to analyze the elements more after the first.  I've looked everywhere for the solution and it seems not to be.  It's as if the program for mine just does not work, as it is not recording I have unckecked this option for unique digitized files.  The manual was useless, it simply gives a very brief statement to use the software to analyze several elements instead of the interface of the printer, which i have done all this time anyway.  If someone could please help solve this problem, I would be very grateful.

    Open the HP software by using the icon named as the printer model.

    Under Actions of scanner, select scan a Document or Photo.

    Select the PDF shortcut, make sure the preview Scan option is checked and to ensure the resolution resolution configured as 300 dpi or below, higher do support not several pages of analysis...

    Click Scan and then you should see an Add button in the preview scan dialog box.

  • DLI keeps asking for a document recovery, even though the document was retrieved successfully.

    Hi when I resize an image in photoshop and then "place" in illustrator 'placed' image is way smaller in illustrator than photoshop.

    To give an example, I just created a canvas photoshop 900px x 900px with a resolution of 300ppi and filled with red color. Then, I saved this image to JPEG to jpeg format had a dimension of 900px x 900px.

    Then I open an illustrator document format to 900px x 900px at 300 PPI and 'placed' red jpeg I created in illustrator into photoshop.

    Now, I expect the "put" jpeg in order to cover the entire artboard in illustrator because the jpeg format is 900px x 900px and so is the artboard. However what is really happening is the image "set" is displayed, but is more than four times smaller in illustrator! In itself, this isn't a problem, but then when I scale up the size I want for example 900px x 900px, resolution begins to decrease and radically!

    How can I fix this I want to be the size of a photo and "place" in illustartor to the appropriate size and 300 DPI so I can print it!

    Ah, now I know what you mean.

    Illy basically works points, 1 point = 1/72 of an inch, and the pixel of the camera (you can choose instead of points, inches, etc.) has the same value, 1/72nd of an inch. This ambiguity is part of the difficulty to understand all this.

    I chose an image which is 3508px x 2631px and 300 ppi.

    An image that is 3508px x 2631px is just that: it comes to the size of the pixels, which means that it is made of 3508 x 2631 = 9 229 548 pixels (small squares), each of which can have its own color, no more, no less.

    This image can be represented in any size in any application, and the size will determine its resolution in PPI (Pixels Per Inch). If you divide the size of 300 to get a resolution of 300 DPI, you will get 11.693 x 8.77 inches = 841.92 631,44 points/pixels x (included in the unit 1/72nd of an inch).

    This means if you want that image to display a resolution of at least 300 PPI you get more 11.693 x 8.77 inches = 841.92 x 631,44 points/pixels (pixels as units to Illy).

    If you wish to zoom at 300 DPI, you start with a great and original image.

    An image setting up a work plan of 900 x 900 points/pixels = 12.5 x 12.5 inches at 300 PPI will be 3750 x 3750 pixel (300 * 12.5 = 3750).

    Are you sure it's the real size of the red square, you did in Photoshop? If so, I have no idea why it shows the way for it to Illy.

    When you export to JPEG, you can set a resolution, but you can also just save it to a real pixel (as in Save for Web & devices) for example size 900 x 900 pixels. Maybe it's when things go wrong.

    First step: clear temp directory

    1. tap folder in the race or search programs and files of field

    2 Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).

    3. proceed to step 2 below

    Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

    1 download the drivers and full software features

    2. once the download is complete, double-click the file to extract the software.

    6. right click on the folder and select copy

    7. close this window and all open windows, and then in the Middle the desktop right click your mouse and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder on your desktop.

    8 open the 7z, that you just copied on your desktop

    9 open the Util folder

    10 open the CCC folder

    11 start the uninstall_L4

    12. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

    13. run disk cleanup from the tools Accessories\ system under all programs folder

    14. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    15 open the 7z folder and then double-click the Setup.exe file that will be towards the bottom of the open window. Follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.

    Using a printer Photosmart 7520 e and with Windows 7 PC.

    I can print on both sides of a page when using MS Word and 'print '.  However, I have a question, when you try to print a page (text printed on the front and back) using the document feeder. Using the click Menu Panel on copy, "Setup" 2 sided.
    Not sure that the choices are;

    1 side 1 side
    1 face 2 face
    2 sides to 1 sided

    2 sides to the back 2
    I don't know what it means at all?  I've tried every function. Only the 2 face faces 2 works, but physically, I return to the original page to t he second side and it will work.  That you can use to have automatically the printer print a page with the text of each side?

    Secondly, can I print an envelope using the charger statement?   I know that I can print an envelope FRO the main paper try... but I'd like to see if I can use the document feeder.

    Any help is appreciated

    OK thanks for trying the 1 back to 2 sides and automatically...  Like everything else in the computer world, clitches, no info in the manual of 7520.  But I'm happy for the HP Forum boards and you take the time to help me.  I can't live without this feature, I can print from the ADF 2 face 2 face. And since my computer form (MS Word) to automatically print on both sides.

    In addition, also not happy to have to pull the plug in order to start up the printer again...  On my serge protector sheet (some say there are problems, the other threads) I'll put in a small separate toggle switch to update the printer on and off... I can live with this one as well.

    Side - I had originally bought an Epson XP-810 and had a black line running down the length of pages... so referred and bought the HP 7520.  And hope not having major problems (still in my test phase).   Use of office is a photograph use priority and two (inks, photo capabilities).

  • Customization of VCD comments fail to finish before vmtools restarts the server

    You are looking for assistance. I'm trying to run a script powershell to the customization post. This script works fine if run independently. The question I see newspapers is vmware tools marks the complete script once past the initiates a reboot of the system. This obviously prevents my powershell to finish. The script is copy the files to the client to then proceed with an installation.

    So my question is that nobody knows how to stop either vmtools to initiate the restart until the end of my script or how to tell my script to stop the vmtools start resetting. I still want the tools at the end, but not until my script is done.

    I tried to add various command to the script with no joy, I think it's because vmtools run command shell of power and esteem/marks it complete and moves independently of what happens. This is for servers Windows 2008 R2 and im using VCD 5.1.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Based on the newspaper it seems to me that you actually run VCD 1.5 (not 5.1). Could you tell me the Version/Build date help > about? If this is the case and you can't find a way to run your script synchronously, or the timeout of 100 seconds is not enough, I recommend you to run your commands by planning a separate Windows task runs after reboot (this is how we do it in VCD 5.1.x):

    \\system32\\schtasks.exe / create /sc ONSTART $ more HIGH/np/z v1 /ru SYSTEM /tr 'order' /tn "my tasks".

    Remember that you may need to remove it later, because Windows often fails to do so, even if the arguments instruct to do.

    First Elements 14 - FILM and DVD MENU BURNING

    QUESTION #1: HELP!   I spent days and days trying to figure out why the DVD menus look so grain-y and poor quality even if the content of actual film seems well. I upgraded from 12 to 14 items first thinking that would improve the quality, but no luck.  I made my film with many segments video, titles, etc., fading in and out of the extra audio tracks. It all works very well.

    Then, when I select the Menu move and there the process... and the result... is simply unacceptable. I chose the "Pan and Zoom" model, even if I wanted to use my own background for the main Menu and the following menus images, because it was the only model with 6 thumbnails per page. I downloaded many sizes of different files and resolutions of my background images, thinking that this one would work.  I even found the original "Pan and Zoom". Model PSD files on my hard drive and checked the length of number of pixel and width, more inches in length and width, more DPI.

    Each of my own images (including one I formatted the exact size of the model "Pan and Zoom") looks a lot like pixelated, when I preview the movie... or actually make a DVD in first of 12 elements.  In the first 14 elements, burn a DVD does not even operate.  The disc resulting is not playable on any of my computers or DVD players.  It comes to my QUESTION #2.

    Is it possible to download a few screenshots to help you see what my poor quality menus looks like compared to the high quality film?

    I don't know what is happening with your DVD writer. It could be material, may be a driver, could be another program maintaining Premiere Elements to it. (Nero is famous for this).

    But if your DVD is burning as a file on your hard drive, then the program has done what it can. And you can easily use a free software called ImgBurn to burn DVD files to a disc. (As I noted in my books, this is the way I and a number of other publishers prefer to work for a number of reasons.)

    The program creates a VIDEO_TS folder on your D drive or if she has created an ISO file?

    I'm unable to scan a document using the ADF.  This has never been a problem until I recently updated my OS from Windows 7 to WIndows 10.  Nothing I found online seems to solve my particular problem.  My printer is connected to my Lenovo ThinkPad W520 computer by USB, this is what I've learned so far:

    I can print without problem.

    I can copy a document from the Board without any problems.

    I am able to copy a document using the charger, so the charger seems to be working.

    I am able to scan a document from the tray, then the scan function also seems to work.

    I checked the updates and the printer indicates that the firmware and software are up-to-date.

    What can I do to once again allow me to scan a document from the document feeder?  Your help would be much appreciated.

    Yes, under "Source", I got "Use Document Feeder so burdened" and I got the beep signaling that the document is loaded in the feeder.  So, it wasn't the problem, but I do it thanks for trying to help out.

    Fortunately, I finally found a solution, although it took a job.  I have reset the printer to its defaults, uninstalled the printer (and its drivers) from my computer, downloaded the latest HP drivers (even if the printer had stated that he was "aware" before all this effort) and reinstalled the printer from scratch.  A lot of work, but the printer works now as it did before my upgrade to Windows 10.

    While I'm not a "techie" and do not really understand why things work the way they do, I hope that my efforts may provide ideas for others who may have similar problems after upgrading to Windows 10.
