85W to 60w

I am in charge of my Macbook Pro 15 "use the MBP 13" 60w charger. This will damage my phone is I use a lower watt charger?

SSM

The closest ICenter me is making me wait more than a month already for my original charger needs to be replaced. What should I do?

It should be good to use it, the MBP will charge is slower.

Can anyone confirm that square-end 85w, for example as expected with MacBook Air, a connector can be used for a MacBookPro 13 "beginning 2012? I hate the 60w L-shape connector which was published with this laptop. Power cable from my previous small white MacBook had the square-end connector and it worked GREAT. The L one shape is difficult to reach, and it does NOT have quick disconnects if someone tripping over the power cord. Thank you.

  • A Magsafe 85w power adapter would be detrimental to my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2010)

    Hi all!

    I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2010, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo).

Well, after years of abuse, the thinner rope (which connects to the Macbook) began to tear. I tried to drag an above shrink wrap to fix and make it last a little longer, but now I find myself stirring the rope around so he can start loading.

in any case, I found a company after-market on Amazon called Supsun making (link below) and recently purchased a. He said that going to work with my Macbook, but I think not even check what power mine use and after he woke up, I found out mine originally a 60w.

Will this hurt Magsafe Supsun 85w power adapter my mid 2010 13-inch Macbook in anyway?

  • Can I use an adapter 85 w (A1343) instead of my equipment MagSafe 60w MagSafe adapter (A1344) original?

I would like to know if my MBP (A1278) is allowed to run a (A1343) 85w power adapter the MagSafe in place and place the original 60w (A1344)?

If Yes is there power/performance benefits?

Or is it a total power overload?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated & thanks a lot in advance!

The computer will take only as much as necessary.  Using a charger 85W on 65W system uses under it.  The charger can burn the opposite - a charger 65W running on a system of 85W.

  • MagSafe 85W defective twice 2 each period of 1 year

I have the model of MacBook Pro retina 15 inch end 2013 mono GPU, and it's 2 MagSafe 85W power adapter is defective for the 2nd time in one year. The original one supplied with the MBPr was faulty, a year after I bought my MBPr in June 2014, so I bought a new around 2015 Center local apple Store and it cost about $150 here. And now may 11, 2016, this 2nd MagSafe, bought also died. stop working without any reason. same as the first. I am so confused and obviously really disappointed. I use all my macs and it's accessories in normal behavior in normal conditions, as suggested.

4 hours earlier it was working fine at my desk, then I went home and discovered that it does not work! Usually, I put my MBP and power adapters on a bag 15-inch fitted with compartments from safe for mac, no dust, no magnetic items. and it connects to the same normal power source (without equipment high voltage or line noise) AC as every day. But this time I heard clicking / popping sound on the main support unit. So I'm sure that its defective.

What I have tried workaround was:

    all with no luck.

The only thing that works uses my MagSafe Macbook Air 45W 2 for my MacBook Pro 15 inches for the moment. So, I know that my MBP is fine. I contacted Apple Support via Twitter, they respond. But since I did the test all troubleshooting they can only advise to bring the bad Apple's Service Provider MagSafe2 (I think that they will offer no work around that I can't find on the net, and I think that the repair cost will be the same as buying a new)

I clearly understand the technical side and the value of the accessories of a computer, it didn't is not on "just buy a new" or just bring it to the service provider. But what I want to discuss here is one of you having the same problem? If there are a number of you have the same problem, means that this could be a serious case that must be addressed by Apple. Having 2 times faulty MagSafe 2 is enough for me.

in any case, I'd love to hear your opinion, workarounds, nothing about this MagSafe 2, what is the best way to avoid it happening again. I really hope this would be the last time I have problem with $150 (in Asia) 2 MagSafe.

  • Ok. What plugs are available with each 60W MagSafe adapters in each country?

I bought the 60W MagSafe power adapter (part no: MC461B/B) today, and here in Viet Nam, two pins 220V taken are used throughout the country. However, everywhere, I want the 3 components, taken Type G, was included with my purchase. This kind of plug is used in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Belize, Bhutan, Cambodia, Channel Islands. Dominique, Islands Falkland, Ghana, Gibraltar, Britain, Guyana, Hong Kong, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Macau, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Myanmar, Nigeria, Northern Cyprus, of Northern Ireland, Oman, Qatar, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Helena, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Yeman, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Do you see the Nam Vet on this list? NO, you haven't. And in Viet Nam, you must buy an adapter. However, in Vietnam, it is common to use the card of Types A, C, and D. The most common type of care serving in Viet Nam is taken Type C, also known as the 'Europlug' with two round plugs. In addition, there are Type A and D: taking with both a round and making electricity from Type A (or male flat blade) is a grounded with two parallel flat pins. Plug type D is has three large round pins in a triangular pattern.and are not even mentioned as being used in Vietnam. However, it is used in Vietnam, BUT it is rare. They just don "t seem to include real grounded in Vietnam at all.

My problem is that tpe sheet G is NEVER used in Vietnam; However, Apple only sends "Malaysian/Indonesian" caps to all the distributors here in Vietnam!

I have a solution that Apple, being a more 'green' company, should sell adapters MagSave power of 60 watts without a power cord to the wall and must sell the powerchords separately, thus allowing people to choose what cards they have in their homes! In addition, the connector of the brick to the computer itself is not ecological for, if she gets a frazzled, must replace the whole brick! So, Apple should make the connector of the brick on the device as they do the USB connectors and lightning!

I hope that Apple will listen!

It is a technical body from user to user, Apple isn't here.

In other words - when I plug an 85w adapter this Macbook, I have a noise in my helmet and my USB ports stop working intermittently.  It causes my controller DJ disappear and reappear constantly in the sound settings in system preferences and makes it so I can't play and music.  If I unplug the adapter 85w, however, everything works fine and I get no sound in my headphones.  I called my local stores and they have never seen this problem, with a store saying that it will need a new controller for a $500 card.

Can someone please give me some clue as to what I could do to fix this?  I tried to reset the SMC but no dice.

  • Do magsafe pin burn because of the fluctuation of power?

    Hello

I have end of 2013 Macbook Pro (retina) that I bought in the USA. Now, I use it in India.

One of the pins of the power adapter 85W Magsafe 2 is burned and glued. It's the tiny pin next to the great.

Corresponding connector in the laptop also get burned.

To power the laptop, I attach and detach the magsafe several times to make it work. This is due to

power fluctuation? The magsafe also get very hot when the laptop support.

If it's because of the fluctuation of power, I can use "voltage stabilizer" or UPS?

Please, give me suggestion to solve this problem.

Voltage stabilizer is always good if you always dirty power.  It causes burning pine? I don't see how unless the connection is not so good PIN-to-pin. Spikes can cause this.

The first time I have reset the SMC, I was able to start on the first try.  When the computer was fine on the desktop, even though it is warm to the touch.  Memory in system information out like OK.  I checked the hard drive is good, etc..

If I try to reboot the computer, 9/10 times it will restart It just stops.

I think here is the logic board is a failure - a common problem with this model.

The computer is currently ONE with 1 stick of memory.  I had run it yesterday with both sticks in.  Once I tried to restart it, it wouldn't start up again.

Purchase of a new Council of logic for this machine is not worth the money.  I'll probably the GPU to reflow.
