860 - 160se: will be upgraded graphics card guaranteed [may also support POWER of the default PC block the desired map]

Hello, I was just wondering if my a 970 GTX a 1080 GTX graphics card upgrade could result in the cancellation of my 160se-860 care pack. If the warranty is not void, is that what I need to know about upgrading a graphics card; relating to the function "Secure Boot" of HP products. I was also wondering if the standard 500W PSU can handle the 1080. The basis of my PC specs are an i7 - 5930K; GTX 970; 4 x 8 GB Samsung 2133 MHz. thanks in advance!

Hi @_MiKz_,.

I hope you enjoy your visit to the HP's Support Forums. I understand your question about the video card upgrade. I'll be happy to help you.

Change video card do not void the warranty, but HP covers parts installed at time of purchase. Any update of the driver must come from Geforce.

The computer has power of 500W and it is the system recommended power (W) 4 for the GTX 1080.

Here's a Youtube video of How to replace a video card and configure the settings of.

As you can see in this thread, my computer will get full performance GTX 750ti due to my PCI ports.  So even if I upgrade my 500 Watt PSU, I always get a maximum return of 750 GTX ti. So in order to get maximum performance, what I have to get a new motherboard supporting the 750 GTX PCI slots ti?

    Greetings,

Your PC meets the requirements of minimum 300 Watt power supply.

Your PC has the UEFI BIOS necessary for the performance of the 750Ti. Your BIOS version 8.xx supports UEFI graphics cards.

Your PC has a PCIe x 16 slot 2.0. The 750Ti will take place in a 2.0 slot, but at a slightly lower rate. It is not as slow as you think. A 3.0 card works fine in a 2.0 slot.

The 750 will fit in your case, as evidenced by the physical installation of the card described in the link to the other thread user in your message.

No PIN six additional or power connections 8 pins are required to run the 750Ti.

I run a GTX 970 in a 2.0 slot and it works fine.

You need to enter the BIOS (Setup) to disable secure boot and select start inherited before installing the 750 into the slot. You must also uninstall the current graphics drivers before installing the new graphics card. You need to return to the graphics drivers generic windows before installing the 750Ti GTX.

    See you soon!

Sorry, but you operate in a misunderstanding.  Your PC is a laptop computer and, unlike desktop computers, it uses no graphics "cards".

Instead, it uses graphics 'modules' - and what makes these different, is that they involve the graphics chip is soldered to the system board.  This means that you will need to disassemble the entire PC to replace the motherboard just to change the graphics chip.

This would have to do to an HP Service Center - which means that it will cost you easily several hundred dollars, maybe more replacement laptop in its entirety!

can I upgrade graphics card on pavilion dm 4?

    Laptops are unlike desktop computers.

Desktop PC have an open architecture that make the relatively simple upgrade.

PC laptop and portable access to the e/s available and put at level of the slots through the doors of the inspection and often almost total disassembly.

Laptops are also limited by the BIOS and the physical attributes systemboard on the video modules and wireless can be used for upgrades.

A BIOS of the laptop has a white list of the modules that are acceptable. If a module wireless or video is not on the whitelist, then it cannot be used. If a notebook THAT BIOS found during the POST (power on self test) as a module not on the white list has been installed it will warn you and it won't start the laptop computer in the operating system installed.

If money is no object you can update the video through an exotic external graphics solution like Vidock Gfx.

You will need to ensure that power plant is rated at a minimum of 500 watts and has at least a 6 connector pins and a connector 8 pin for the graphics card GTX 760. In addition, that the card is long 11.5 ", you need to measure along the plane of the PCIe x 16 location at the rear of the case more far to determine if there is enough space for the map. If you find all the obstacles before reaching approximately 12 ", the map is inappropriate.

  • H8-1020 HP: HP H8-1020 - upgrading graphic card / power

    Hey,.

Looking to give my almost 5 year old very PC need graphics push. As mentioned in the title, I have a HP h8-1020. After reading the other messages from users on this forum, it seems that the power supply provided with this model (300W) is totally insufficient for any new, decent graphics card.

    I also use a 27 inch Samsung S27D360.

I read that some people used the corsair CX500/600 with Nvidia GT X series (2 GB) as an upgrade card appropriate. However I don't know a lot about the power supplies or performance graphics cards.  I don't have an absolute top of the map online, just one that can run most modern graphic intensive games. I hope for a price range of about $100 for food and not more than $200 for the graphics card.

Here are some of the games I'd like to run upstairs - max (preferably in 1920 x 1080) settings:

    Diablo 3

    Skyrim

    Grand Theft Auto V

    The Elder Scrolls: online

Any help with suggestions for a new power supply/graph card would be appreciated. Thank you!

  • Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm processor and upgraded graphics card.

    Hello

I should probably start by listing the specs of the laptop. So here it is:

    Model: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm

    Series: [personal information]

    Product: C6T29EA #BED

Processor: Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz)

    Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics card: GeForce GT 630 m 2 GB memory

    OS: Windows 7 x 64

So the question, well not really a problem, but recently I have noticed that my laptop has been strugling to run the latest games coming out to the point where some games even on setting him down still have very low FPS.

Then I thought to replace my CPU and graphics card because these two seem to be the issue.

Now, I got the user guide but it was provided on a CD while my laptop is not a CD ROM  So, I have been unable to determine what kind of a slot processor use my laptop.

So I was wondering if anyone of you could help me determine if I can replace the processor and the graphics card on my laptop and if I can provide some suggestions to what I should look at, since I read that chaning a CPU on a laptop is sticky bussines.

    Thank you in advance.

Also if there is more information needed please tell me so that I can add.

Please have look at the below information shown for the processor upgrade

So I got a new (TG 640) graphics card for my pc. I tested it on another computer the day before. Worked well. I plugged my HP Pavilion 500-130DE and started. I got my XPS in 2014 and my warranty of service completed in 2015 Jan before I installed Windows 10. So since I've upgraded to Windows 10 I started having problems with by XPS 8700. Now, I have no guarantee. I thought he would go better once they have released an update of the BIOS and it did for a while unfortunately in recent months, I noticed two major issues.

Unfortunately, it is not the only problem with the graphics card.

    (2) "sleep" my mode is gone (it is related to graphics and BIOS).

-J' tried the go in power to add setting but it was not yet listed.
