8600 Officejet Duplex Scan and Eprint

I have a question on the HP Officejet Pro 8600. I have a Mac and Mac OS x installed Lion:

(1) how to scan HP scan3 2sided/duplex?  There is no option to choose to scan duplex, I have installed duplex accessory and I checked in the system Prefereneces > Print & Fax > Open print queue > Configuration printer > driver > HP 2 accessory sides of impression. See the image of what my options and screen looks like.

(2) how can I configure my eprint settings when I print through Google Cloud or to my email to the printer to print duplex/2sided? I have looked at the online account but couldn't find an option to print

Hello

You have the 8600 OfficeJet from HP (N911a) or the sign more (N911g) or model Premium (N911n)?

Only the last two models offer features of duplex ADF (copy of original 2 faces), the basic model only provide double-sided printing.

The ePrint service does not support duplex printing, you can find that he listed in the documentation of ePrint:

Are there any limitations that I should be aware of when using ePrint?
Duplexing (printing on both sides of the page) is not supported.http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03721293

You can work around this limitation by using the mobile software HP ePrint, which allow printing to a remote printer using the software on your Mac:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=22744&prodSeriesId=5098100&prodNameId=5098101&swEnvOID=219&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ds-104730-2

Once the software is installed, you can access it from the print in the drop of PDf dialog box.

Kind regards

Shlomi

    Hello

You use A910a or A910g A910n? Open the cartridge on the left front access door to see the model number. If she says A910a or A910g then, those two doesn't support automatic duplex, scan or copy as the document feeder has no duplexer in them

If A910n, check the picture below. For the digitization of the s/w, you can find the setting «scan both sides (duplex)» For the copy, and then in the menu ==> settings copy printer, you can find the option "two sides - two-sided original copy.

  • HP Officejet 4632: Scanning and printing photos

How many pages it can scan simultaneously? Is there a certain type of photo paper that should be used with this printer?

    Hi @Faye24,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request.

I understand that you have questions about scan using your HP Officejet 4632 e-all-in-one printer and photo paper. I would like to help.

There are two ways to analyze, either starting from the glass tray, or by using the automatic Feeder (ADF) of Document.

You can scan pages as much as you want. The ADF has a capacity of 50 sheets, so able to load 50 pages up there, if you had to.

The big glass dish limits you to a single page at a time, but when you scan with the HP software it is a button that allows you to scan and create a multiple page PDF when scanning of the bucket.

If you need assistance with the analysis please let me know what what operating system your computer is running so I can provide the appropriate documentation.

When it comes to photo paper, photo paper sizes supported and weight.

HP recommends using HP photo for best results of printing paper. You can click here to see the photo paper HP is available.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

    Hi bodogplf,

I understand that you want to change the date and time on your Officejet Pro 8600.  To do this, since the home screen navigate to the second page by pressing the right arrow.  Here, you should see a button that says Setup.  Press setup and Search Preferences button.  Once you press the button Preferences the first option should be Date and time.  When you press this button, you can set your date and time which should appear on your Fax.

If you have problems navigating the menus, re-post and I will help you.

It's hanging in wrongly. Your Xfinity (Comcast?) modem is connected to the
connection to the internet from your cable provider. You cannot send a fax to the
the cable line. The fax must be connected to your phone of the voice
    line.

Acceory double-sided for double-sided printing from your computer. But ePrint does not have this option. Heard running.

  • Duplex scan HP Scan with a 8600 Officejet more

The document on the 8600 Officejet more feeder supports duplex scanning (i.e. analysis on both sides of the originals). I had no trouble to make it work when I start a scan from the printer control panel - there is a very clear button to switch between sides 1 and 2-sided originals.

When I run the scan of my computer, however, the use of the scanner program included (HP Scan 3), I can't find any option to select two-sided scanning. I use the automatic document feeder, but I just get a side scanned. Is there a hidden option somewhere in HP Scan 3 I forgot?

I use a Mac, for what it's worth, under OS X 10.6.8 'Snow Leopard '.

These instructions did not help me, because the boxes of dialogue look completely different in the Mac version of the software, but they invite me to looking more carefully at the menus once more. I found that if you enable the scan Preferences dialog box, either by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner of the main screen or by selecting ' Scan HP | Preferences"in the menu, the option I want is here. In the middle of the screen, above a horizontal divider, there are five icons after the word "Orientation". The first two are really orientation, and the other three control unilateral versus double scanning.

So yes, I really was missing something pretty obvious.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 e. problem scanning scanning and Capture App Win 8.1

    OfficeJet Pro 8600 e.  New.

Installed on HP Envy touch 23. Running Windows 8.1.

Wireless set in place. Fine prints.  Problem is the digitization of the HP scanning and capture the software App 8.1 Win

With the help of scanning and Capture App I can scan pictures very well.  They come out clear.  Scanning documents in GRAY has several bands/lines in gray on the entire page vertically running.  Scanning COLOR documents are very good.

Also, if I scan from the printer directly using the touch screen of the printer, the output of scan is fine.

I did the Scan utility to discover any errors and it show everything.  I think it is a software error.  I'm going to uninstall the HP scanning application, and then reinstall.  So, I'll do the uninstall/reinstall and accountable.

Also, I would like to know if there is a program of office for scanning?  I prefer to use it instead of the modern HP Scan and capture App.

    Thank you...

    Hi artrum,

I understand that you have been scanning your Officejet 8600 problems using the program window of scanning and Capture. I will certainly do my best to help you with this!

What you explained, I think: you're right, it seems that it is only a problem with scanning windows and the Capture program and as you could scan from the front of the printer you certainly have the HP software installed. I want to make is that you use the HP scanning software, where you must run is no longer in question.

To access the HP scanning software and be able to access it easily from your Office I would like you to follow the steps below:

1 go to your start screen and just start typing File Explorer. You should be able to open it then to access the files on your computer.

2 then open Local (c) disc, followed by Program Files (x 86), followed by HP, then HP Officejet Pro 8600, followed finally by bin.

    3. in the bin folder, you should see HPScan. You will want to right click on HPScan and go to send to, and then select Desktop.

Now, you should see HP Scan on your desktop and be able to open and browse this request.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • HP officejet pro 8600 duplex scan

How can I duplex scanner using the charger to top of the page?  Is there a driver or software, I need?  I bought this printer to use this feature.  As a teacher, I want to analyze all my books in my USB.

    Please help me!

To tell you the 8600 don't scan two-sided on the base model, only on the most and the Premium version of the printer. But in addition, I don't know what you're looking for is possible. Duplex scanning function is reserved for the simple leaves, double-sided media - not for books. With books, the only method for the analysis of these images is through the flat bed scanner because it can't shoot an entire book through the ADF.

I hope this solves your request!

  • OfficeJet 6500 a +: [El Capitan] duplex resets and unusable scan to PC option

    Hi all

I encounter a bug very annoying with the latest driver for my Officejet 6500 a + (E710n) on MacOS El Capitan.

I equipped module two-sided to two-sided printing from the printer and enabled this option in the printer to use. Hoever, every time I do a printing two duplex printer is automatically disabled.

I tried to reset the printing system of the operating system, removing the drivers, reinstalling them and everything I could find on the web and on your support pages.

    I have this problem persists.

I hope that the problem would have been fixed sooner or later, but nothing seems to happen.

Is this a known bug/problem that can be fixed or not?

It's really frustrating set the duplex option, each time I need to print a document and somethimes it lies a lot of paper is wasted because of this problem.

Without forgetting to mention that the very useful option "Scan your PC" seems to have been completely forgotten by HP and it's still useless.

You will anable it new or not?

I regret to say that I am really unsutisfied by the media.

I bought a HP printer because I thought that the brand would have the guarantee of quality of the product.

It seems I was mistaken, from the day I bought the printer, I had problems even more each version of the driver.

Just one last thing: print Wi - Fi network is unusable, its so slow I could hand copy a document instead of printing.

I'm looking forward to hear from you,

    concerning

    Claudio

    Dear RnRMusicMan,

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Unfortunately, however, they were not useful for my problems.

After spending so much time trying each possible configuration and different drivers, I found the solution to all my problems (and more the impression of a Wi - Fi connection that seems completely unusable due to defects printer, I found other users complain about this).

Firstly, instead of using the driver just E710n-z use the E709n series 1.

It rolls and the duplex option is never reset to 0.

Second, if you want to use the Scan to PC option of the printer for Mac, you need to download the HP Easy Scan from the Mac App Store app. This is the official application for scanning and receive analyses of the printer.

I wonder why I couldn't find it anywhere, and I repeat once again anywhere, it is mandatory to use such an application. It's really disappointing.

I don't know if other people can do the same thing on my account, but here I paste your sentence:

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 all-in-o: scanning and e-mailing

When the scanning and emailing more than one page, I send each page individually. How can I send the entire document?  I have a wireless internet connection

    Hi @ak80.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that when scanning to email you can only send one page at a time. I would like to help.

Normally when scanning with the ADF, it will take all of the loaded pages and send them into a single file. In addition, when you are scanning from flat bed, it should ask if you have additional pages.

Are you scanning as described in this document? HP OfficeJet Printers - scan from the control panel (computer, email, MEMORY or network folder)

    Hello

First, make sure you have the latest firmware installed as follows:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-plus-e-all-in-one-printer-series---N911/4322915/model/4323647/document/c02919168/

    Then, try the following:

    1. Of the printer, click on the right arrow / left and press the ion of the configuration of the printer.
    2. Select Network Configuration.
    3. Select direct Wireless Configuration.
    4. Ensure the Direct wireless is enabled and take one step of his password if such a value.
    5. Click on the WiFi icon from your Mac and connect to the SSID 8600 spirit "live / Print" in its name.
    6. Go to System Preferences > print and scan and click on the plus sign to add the printer - you see it listed as Hello via the direct wireless connection?

Please let me know the results, if it not listed as Hello with Direct wireless, which clearly show that the new router interrupts the multicast connection, this is the same as the connection through a different router.
