8610: unlock the administrator settings on my officejet pro 8610

How to unlock the administrator settings on my officejet pro 8610?

Hello and welcome to the community of HP @jujupud,

I understand that you want to unlock the settings on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 administrator, but you forgot the password. I'll be happy to help you.

Your printer will have to be reset. I'll message you private instructions you need to do. Note that reset will clear your wireless settings, then you may need to reconnect to your network when you have finished resetting. (It's like the printer out of box at that point).

If it helps, will testify of my answer by pressing the 'thumbs up' below, or click on the button "Accept as Solution" if I helped you reach a solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day.

    Hi @Redwoc,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you are trying to reset the administrative password for your HP Officejet Pro 8600, and I'm happy to help you!

You can do a reset of the printer using the LED screen on the printer. Select Configuration, then Tools, then restore the default settings. "Restore default settings" is the last element of the list, and then you must scroll down to see it.

This clears all the settings of the printer, including the administrator password.

    I hope this helps!

While your application may very well be authentic, it could also be interpreted as a surreptitious attempt to bypass Windows security.

The only recommended method to retrieve an administrative password is to login as another administrator account and reset the password to a known unknown. If the administrative passwords could be easily overcome, there would not be much point in them.

It is in the terms of use and the Code of conduct of the responses of these forums to request or provide assistance to the cracking a password. Do not forget that you agreed to these and review if necessary.

You can view the policy of Microsoft about lost or forgotten passwords (KB189126) for more information on what resources are available to you.

The only advice that I can offer you is either begin to guess what the password could possibly be or reinstall Windows by default.

  • cancel the print job on HP Officejet Pro 8610

How to cancel a print job on my HP Officejet Pro 8610... There is no X or cancel on the LCD screen.  How to cancel the task once it starts?

PC: Asus desktop computer; Windows 7; 64-bit process.

    Hi Bestbill,

There are 2 ways to cancel the printjob.

    (1) you can open the printer spooler (located at the bottom right of your system) and cancel the job from there.

    (2) you can cancel via the control panel.

    • If you have opinions, when you send a printjob down to the printer, the upper part of the control panel will display a message "X now print...". »
    • Press to this message 'X now... print '. "and it will take you to the screen with only this message and an 'X' at the bottom left.
    • Click on the 'X' in the lower left, and the printjob is cancelled.

    I hope this works.

A friend just to configure the settings of the administrator on the computer that I use, it also added a Passport Network account on behalf of user xp MyWindowsApp. I just want to know if he added himself. and why is my cursor a black block extended.

You can check the user accounts to see if your friend has added itself to the account administrator or any other user account.

To open the tool user accounts, open Control Panel from the Start menu, and then double-click user accounts.
You can view user accounts and if you see all the accounts you do not know.
You can choose to delete the user account. Make sure that you do not remove the administrator account,
Guest account or the system account. They are accounts by design.
Double-click the account and check who's a member of the account.

  • How to remove the administrator settings

I want to remove settings from the administrator, so I can do other things on my laptop dell inspiron mini windows 7 starter. How to accomplish this task?

I don't think you want to delete.  Rather, you want you to be as an administrator, so you can perform these tasks.  IS this correct?

  • To remove the administration settings?

I'll put up a collaboration for the trial of a couple of people on the web service.  Finally thanks to a lot of frustration I establish a connection where the test site is hosted.  I wonder now until I can fully established the site on the removal of the administration on the test web site settings.  My questions are this, it will eliminate the IIS configuration running on the web server?  Or is it just for one Contribute?  Many people use the web test site "approve" updates and other until he became.  Any help would be appreciated.  I looked through the documentation and it is very sparse on this subject.  Thank you.

    Jeremiah.

    Hi Jeremiah,.

The administration of the removal applies only to the Contribute. It will not affect any of the IIS configuration. Removing the administration would remove the role settings for users of the Web site, and you will have to redo the settings again.

"A lot of people use web site test"approve"updates and other until it became." - are you using Contribute to the approval process? If so, make sure that all web pages have been approved before removing the administration for the site.

I hope this helps. See you soon.

    Hello!

For testing purposes, I set a supervisor password and put a lock on the Bios settings. Since then I can't access the settings because I have never asked the supervisor password. The biometric characteristics are activated. So when I restart and press F1 I get into the bios without beeing asked a password but I can't change the values.

You associate your fingerprints with the supervisor password?  Another option instead of dragging your finger please press ESC and then manually type the password, I hope it will work.

  • Cannot start the HP printing software (HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910a)

    Hello

When I double-click the icon of the HP software on my desktop behavior strange results. Nothing opens and my computer behaves erratically. After a while I get the following error messages:

    instancefinderdlg.exe

    werfault.exe

Then after that - my computer restarts so all by himself. But not a complete reboot - it just goes back to the initial logon screen and I get my password from Windows and displays the desktop.

I am running Windows Pro 8.1 (64-bit). The printer is set to work wireless.

After doubleclicking on the HP software icon and wait for the software to open, as I mentioned above, one thing I tried was a ctrl-alt-del and open Task Manager. I checked the services running, and there were multiple instances of a service life of HP (I not only remember the name but there seems to be dozens of the same HP service running).

I also completely uninstalled all HP software use Revo Uninstaller and then reinstalled the software / driver for the OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910a - but this package did not make a difference; exactly the same problem occurred again.

It happened only in recent days. Before that, I could double-click the HP software icon and open normally and I was able to check the settings, ink levels, etc. Interestingly, the printer seems to always work well - I can print in Word, print photos from Lightroom, etc. Just, I can't open my desktop HP printing software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi jedasa,

I guess you can start to feel frustrated. I did some additional research and would like to try a few things. I want to delete the printer Assistant icon, open devices and printers, right-click on your printer and choose open. In the window that opens, please right-click on the Printer Wizard and click on create a shortcut. Now we can go to the desktop and see if it will be open from there. The icon will now by HP in a blue circle and say HP Printer Wizard below (see image below).  If it opens and works, we use this going forward, but if it does not continue with the steps below.

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key ( ) on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. Unplug the USB cable (if connected), open programs and features, click Editor (all HP software will be together now) and uninstall all software associated with the printer. You fill find the basic driver, study for improvement of the product, HP Officejet 8500 help. Be sure to do not uninstall other HP software, especially if your computer is a HP computer. I generally use the date as a reference. Printing software would have all been installed on the same date.
    4. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
    5. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.

  • Problems with the operation of the Second paper tray - HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more

I just bought a second paper cartridge for my HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more. It shows up on my printer paper tray 2.  However, I can't understand how to go between the paper trays to get items to print from the individual trays.  A choice should not result when I click on PRINT?  Or if I should not be able to set up a default tray for printing on letter size, but be able to change in the other side, when I want to print an envelope?

I will be happy to help you with this problem.

The 2nd test is an accessory. It is not downloaded in the drivers. You will need to do the 2nd tray DEFAULT tray for stationery. Go to your settings on the printer. Choose Preferences and go to the default tray.

The envelopes and any other type of paper in addition to the letter will be put in TRAY 1.

Let me know how it goes.

  • Re: Cannot reverse the order of printing HP Officejet PRO 8630

I bought a 8620 and had this problem with Quickbooks.  I called HP and they had me download a driver for a 9800 series printer.  At the time, I was using VISTA as an operating system... YEA I know... so I've upgraded to Windows 10.  The pilot of the 9800 series worked fine with VISTA system. You can change the option Back to front layout... it's what you need in any case to do this.  And it worked with the printer 8620.

I have now upgraded and have Windows 10 64-bit operating system and still have the printer 8620.  I am looking for a driver that works with your printer 8620 for Windows 10 64 bit Oprating system and has to HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE the option print layout in the "back to the Front.

    That they are used?
