9.3.3 update/migration planning apps to 11.1.2.2

I'm at the next step in our upgrade of 9.3.3 11.1.2.2 and ready to migrate our planning applications. I have read many of the posts related to it and have a general list of the steps, but I have a slightly different situation than what I've seen posted before.

To summarize, we have installed 11.1.2.2 on new servers.  Our old 9.3.3 is still running on different environment.  I have correctly completed the following:

1 Foundation Services Shared Services installed and up and running, and users/groups correctly migrate.

2 Essbase and EAS and up and running.  All Essbase applications (except for planning applications), were migrated successfully of 9.3.3 to 11.1.2.2.

3. the planning has been installed and is operational.  While there is no apps planning in the new system, I can open planning via the workspace administrator.

So the next step is to get my apps of moved/transferred the 9.3.3 planning environment for the new 11.1.2.2.

To complicate matters, we are through to the SQL Server repository 9.3.3 to Oracle in our new 11.1.2.2.  So the first thing we did was to create a new Oracle schema for our planning app repository and using the developer SQL migrate Wizard, we have migrated/copied tables and data from the old Oracle's SQL Server.  It seems that all the tables and data have been properly copied to Oracle.

Our old planning application is called PlanTest. The owner of the application is a native user called planadm.  My planned migration plan (and my questions) are:

1. create a new empty planning called PlanTest into account application planamd 11.1.2.2 native?

2. If I use my new Oracle repository for this soft white, it will eliminate the old data converted or he will try to upgrade/migrate it?

3 or... should I take a backup of my new first converted repository.  Then drop/recreate the Oracle schema (so no tables) and let Planning to build the repository when I create the Virgin Planning application?  Then capture the owner SID in the new table HSP_USER.  Stop planning. The backup of the overlay on the newly created repository 9.3.3, then replace the owner SID info. Then restart Planning.

* My concern: the structures of repository planning app table matches between 9.3.3 and 11.1.2.2?

4. open Planning and hope that the PlanTest application appears!

5. use Planning Upgrade Wizard to complete the migration and upgrade of the repository.

6 push/Create app to Essbase.

7 export data from old app in .txt file loading and reloading in planning new cube.

8 convert/migration of business rules using information from John's blog.

I don't know that I missed something.  Suggestions or comments on these steps would be appreciated.  Bottom line is I need to get this app (and several others) migrated successfully with all the metadata, rules of security, forms, etc..  Their reconstruction from scratch is NOT an option.

In addition, to clarify.  It is a classic planning application.  We do not use EPMA.

Thank you

Mike

It would probably make things even simpler if the owner of the application has been changed to the default Administrator account before the upgrade.

In any case, it has been included before, but

create a blank planning application (any options) with planadm

store the SID code in the table HSP_USERS

stop planning, dropping the schema, import the 9.3.3 the same pattern,.

updated the SID in the HSP_USER to that stored.

Start planning

Update app

and so on

See you soon

  • App update users Planning Board

    Hi all

We use Essbase, Shared Services and planning (9.3.1). I have to remove access to LDAP planning App users, but somehow the HSP_USERS table in the planning of the app isn't getting updated. The steps that I followed were:

    1. in Shared Services, remove the user to Aboriginal groups that are configured for the app then looking for the LDAP user and service of all components.
    2. in environmental assessments, under Security, makes update SSP for all users, security coming from the user of the Regional service.
    3. on the planning server, under the bin directory, directs the ProvisionUsers.cmd and the UpdateUsers.cmd, which should update the tables of planning app but this does not happen. It also shows all users under manage security on the planning web filters.

Can someone please tell me if the steps I am following are right and what should I do so that it updates the tables.

    Thank you...

    Hello

I would never advise playing with tables that you can end up doing more harm than good, unless you know what you're doing

Here are most of the tables that a user can exist in.

    HSP_ACCESS_CONTROL
    HSP_USERSINGROUP
    HSP_USER_VARIABLE
    HSP_USER_VARIABLE_VALUE
    HSP_MRU_MEMBERS
    HSP_USER_PREFS
    HSP_USERS
    HSP_OBJECT

They all work on object_id /user_id that relates to the HSP_OBJECT table, as you pointed out there are contrainsts on the tables so they must be removed in the correct order.

  • EPMA Migration Planning Application

    Hello

We are migration planning EPMA from Dev to QA application. After you import the application, the application is shown as a UNICODE application in environmental assessments in QA.
Please let me know why this is happening and how to change it to the format NOT UNICODE.

    Version 11.1.2.1

    Thank you
    Nainitha

You will need to remove the app, and then update the parameter then recreate it again, I know it's possible to hack the table to update the setting but because the application is already created I'm not sure it would make much difference.

My question is: is there another available method to migrate to Linux 32-bit solaris (64-bit).

Using Note 9i process Import/Export for Oracle Applications Release 11i [ID 230627.1]

Using the note above we can update/migration of 10.2.0.4?

and for the application, I will use the migration to Linux version of Oracle Applications 11i [238276.1 ID]

So basicallly source steps and preparation of the source system so that the export must be made using metalink Note 230627.1

    Correct, if you're on 9iR2.

and implementation of the target must be performed using 362203.1, if it is 10.2.0.4 is 1135973.1.

  • Record of planning app with shared services

    Hi all.

I created a new classic of planning app (11.1.1) with the intention of mirroring our production application. I copied this sketch of the production to the new application app. I also export the sql server database used by the application of the production planning and restored to the new app everything seems great so far.

My question is about the registration of the new shared services application. The application of production has about 35 MSAD authenticated users. What would the recording process of the new application with shared services and implementation of the production application users. The new application has not specifically record when it was created.

I'm a little worried. I don't want to do anything that might affect the current application of the production. How to register for the new application and add users without affecting the current application of the production. Is also simple to go to Administration-> application settings and clicking on 'Register Shared Services' and establishment of new users? Or are there any other steps that need to happen?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Dave

You need to register as you created an empty planning initially application which will be saved with shared Serices, would the provisoning to users/groups in shared services for the planning application, and then you perform the migration of the relational database across.
Wil you will probably have to change the URL of the shared services within planning, but no need to re-register.

  • Migrating Planning 4-11

    Dear all,
See migrate planning 4.1 planning 11.1.3
I can't find the user id '50001' table HSP_USERS. can I just copy the original database to the new database created?

    Thanks for help
    Thomas

The default Administrator account exists in your source, it will have a SID of native://DN=cn=911, or = People, dc is css, dc = hyperion, dc = com? USER

Otherwise (if you have to make sure there is not) and you created your application target with admin, then a method would be to stop planning.
Go to HSP_USERS table together the SID of the owner id to:-native://DN=cn=911, or = People, dc is css, dc = hyperion, dc = com? USER
Then go to HSP_OBJECT and update the OBJECT_NAME of hypbud to the admin, restart planning.

  • iPad claims a bad Apple ID when updates to the app in the App Store

    Hello

When I try to update using the updates shown in app store, for couple of apps App Store shows a different iTunes ID and its asking to specify a password. Can you help me get rid of this and continue to update?

I had already tried to check the settings of the App Store and iTunes and there the user credentials and also I activated app updated it. Its does not help to resolve the situation.

    Can someone please?

    Thank you!

    Kind regards

    Pranab N.V.

Applications (and everything that is downloaded from the iTunes Store) are linked to the account which has downloaded. The id that displays in the updates tab should be the id who them downloaded on your iPad (or downloaded to the computer iTunes library which you synchronized of)-to get them linked to your account, you need to remove the apps and buy/download in your account.

  • 10.11.6 updating killed my apps from user account

I just installed the latest updates on the App Store (10.11.6 I guess) to find when restarting the Apps on my main user account (an administrator account) no longer work. The account is running very slow and lazy, struggling to load anything and beach regular balling.

I have a second account, which is a Standard account and Apps work fine here. Since the Standard account, I created a second administrator account and the new account works fine too. Two of these other accounts running at a normal speed with no problems.

This is what is happening on my main administrator account:

    During the initial load:

    After a few minutes:

When you try to open an application:

That's what the new administrator account always sees in the same folders that confirms that there is in fact the Apps:

  • updates to iOS app show filled in the App Store but not apps actually updates

There's something strange happening very recently with the app on my iPhone and iPad updates. Two of them are on the latest version of iOS (9.3.2). Apps would show that they are updated in the App Store, but they are actually not updated. This is the second time that this has happened and I am writing this message I try to solve problems. The first time it happened I had to remove the app and reinstall it. I'm going...

    1. I opened the App Store.
    2. Press update of all.
    3. I saw the download of updates and the finish.
    4. Open the button is appeared next to the application in the list of updates.

    The problem:

    1. Applications will not open by typing open the button next to them.
    2. I went to the home screen and the applications in question are darker color.
    3. I typed on these applications and they changed the "Loading"... "which means that they have not actually completed the setting to.
    4. The apps started to download it again.
    5. Applications is is stuck in download.
    6. I turned both devices power off, then turn it back on.
    7. On my iPad: apps started to redownload and completed. Applications are now open.
    8. On my iPhone: applications made "Waiting."... "then"Loading"... "and have not finished downloading.

I'll post this and continue to wait for applications to download. I don't want to remove them and reinstall because they are multiple applications I would you connect again and synchronizes again that I find annoying. I'll try to update this post after the completed download apps, if they end up actually or if I'll end up resettlement.

I posted this at 09:00. It is now 16:45, and only one of the applications is completely downloaded. It is not a problem with the internet, because I can stream movies very well. Another application that has been "updated" this morning went dark. I typed it and it has been "Waiting."... "for 10 minutes now.

Sounds on the right for the App Store, quite often you think you downloaded an update, but the App Store loses connection

but still said it was installed in a list of 30 days.

  • My apps don't download or update on the App Store, what to do?

    Hey!

My App Store is not automatically updated all the apps for a few weeks, even though I have the "update automatically" setting on. (And no, these updates don't require Wi - Fi update, my 4G mobile data should have been fine.) Now, it has got to the point where I can't update all apps even manually. I click the icon "update" and the circle of progress appears but doesn't begin to increase. It is just stuck. How can I fix?

I am also unable to download/install new applications. This happens with all applications I've tried to install isn't about specific app. I have rebooted my phone, checked my settings App Store and internet, disconnected and connected on my Apple ID. I also reset my network settings. I tried to download with a Wi - Fi connection and mobile data with applications that don't require Wi - Fi connection to intall. All several times and during the time period of a few days. I have no restrictions on.

When I click on the "install" button, it shows just the circle of progress without the mean square and it remains stuck with no progress. Sometimes the application displays a white icon on my home screen, but not every time. If so, I can not remove it directly but I can stop the 'installation' in the App Store that makes the white icon will eventually disappear. I have an application that has survived exceeded installation stage of the white icon, but got stuck on "pending". I can click on it, but nothing happens.

I have the software of the iPhone 6 and 9.3.1.

I am really desperate for a response, please.

Try going into settings > general > Restrictions > and make sure that iTunes Store, Apps install, delete the Apps and In - App purchases are all under the section allow. Try to install again.

If the above does not work:

Close the App Store completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the display. You may be able to pick up the tab App Store covering scribbles to the left.

Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in the settings).

Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Then reconnect to the iTunes Store.

If neither works you may have a corrupt system and would have to do a restore. I restore as a new and test the phone as the backup may be corrupted. Make sure to import all your photos and important data first. If the backup is corrupted, restore it will bring back the corruption.
