• Windows XP icons in dock lost their icons

  After a update Java Version 6 Update 21, icons, put in the dock by a VM XP have all been replaced by a generic icon that looks like a document with what appears to be a "golden compass" at the bottom right.

  The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

  If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

  As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

  I had the same problem. Try to delete the bookmarks drop down menu on the Navigation bar button.

  You can change the items that appear in the menu or the toolbar.

  1. Click the menu button

     

     and choose Customize.

  It is not possible in a simple way.
  Are not two buttons, but a single button, and the star is the main button and the other button is the drop marker as you can see if you inspect the code with the DOM Inspector.

  This drop marker also has a border or box-shadow on the left, so you should have to do a lot of CSS changes to make this work correctly.

  The two swapping is easy with the code to userChrome.css:
