9/menu/bookmarks Firefox bar: bookmarks lost their icons

iMac. Firefox 9. I just downloaded 8,01-9. In my bookmarks/submaps URL had version 8.01, icons. Now at 9 in the URL icons have disappeared. Restart Firefox, or restart the computer solved the problem... Who knows the solution. In advance my big thank you!

@Verdi... You are a genius! I know not how you knew what to do, but IT WORKED! My icons are back. Thank you!

  • After the installation of some programs and reboot, some lost their icon image.

    They work fine and all that's just say instead of "e" for internet icon explorer, its display of the icon "no file association" (Note: Internet Explorer doesn't have this problem, just used as an example).

    I searched but could not find anything about this problem here, on sevenforums.com someone solved it doing: "right click on them > properties > Compatibility tab > click the option at the bottom under the privilege level that says"Run this program as an administrator".". But that did nothing for me, everyone there knows what is the problem and how to fix it?

    OK programs that have lost their icons were: Revo Uninstaller (rid of him because he does not work with win 7 64 bit), spybot, Fraps, smart defrag, cpu - z, HWmonitor and Nero 7. I uninstalled them and rebooted and then installed them, but not all at once this time here and don't have not had a problem since, except with Nero.

    I started in safe mode and now the icon is back so it could be a problem with programs compatible old/little. You will answer if the problem appears again. Thanks for the help.

  • Suddenly, a lot of my favorites have lost their icons and now have a small dotted line to their place square. They are not open when you click on it? Help please.

    Guess the question covers. I use Firefox on Windows 10 41.0.2.

    For problems with the file places.sqlite (bookmarks, historical) database, you can check in the Firefox profile folder.

    If the extension of Maintenance of places cannot repair the database places.sqlite file remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to rebuild the database places.sqlite latest JSON Firefox backup in the folder bookmarkbackups.

  • After uninstalling some pgms unnecessary and put to other day my gmail and facebook screens lost their icons, set form and receipts.

    I run firefox on a machine window7. I uninstalled couponamazing, verizon and a few other programs. Then I have updated flash and google chrome. I've never used google chrome before. On enter in firefox my gmail and facebook pages were not properly put in the form (all b + W with open boxes, no icons). I then uninstalled google chrome. I have read a few questions help and erased my money, removed history and reset firefox. Still have the same problems with gmail and FB.

    OK, if the "no proxy"parameter does not help, can you please try to reset the browser again as described in: Firefox Refresh - reset the parameters and modules

    Lost 'remove hardware safely '.

    Restore point:

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  • Windows XP icons in dock lost their icons

    After a update Java Version 6 Update 21, icons, put in the dock by a VM XP have all been replaced by a generic icon that looks like a document with what appears to be a "golden compass" at the bottom right.

    I have no idea if the update of Java is linked at all. Just that the problem appeared immediately after the update. And no other changes have been made in the virtual machine recently.

    Is there a way I can fix this problem?

    With the target Virtual Machine to stop, not suspended and closed merge and then delete the following folders that are in the package, the Applications and the appListCache of the target Virtual Machine and then restart the merger and the target of the Virtual Machine. Two records of theses that reside within all of the target Virtual Machine will be recreated and rebuilt the content and in turn, you should now get the correct icons to show on the pier to the unit.

    The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

    If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

    As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

    Hope that helps.

  • How to customize the menu bookmarks, such as remove subscribe to this page and and hide or remove the unsorted bookmarks in the bookmarks menu bar?

    In the old version you could hide the or delete to subscribe to this page from the bookmarks bar option menu option and the same for the unsorted Lily book option.
    I would also like to remove some spaces that surround these options in the menu.

    I want to talk about the menu bar with the bookmarks menu item.

    All of these options in the bookmarks menu makes for lots of unnecessary scrolling for the bookmarks menu in any direction (upwards or downwards). I think it's very annoying that there is NO option to hide these elements either to just outside and to remove it!

    The toolbar that I speak has this list on this.

    File Edition display history bookmarks tools help

    In this menu bar in the drop-down menu bookmarks menu is now where I want to get rid where hide the items mentioned above, that allows you to be able to do.

    If you want to hide Unsorted Bookmarks in the bookmarks Menu (However he always appears in the bookmarks library), follow these steps:

    -> Create a userChrome.css file in a folder named chrome in your Firefox profile folder

    -> Close Firefox

    -> Now enter (or copy / paste) the following code into the userChrome.css file.

    @namespace url ("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); / * This line is needed only once * /.

    #appmenu_bookmarksPopup menuseparator[builder="end"],
    #appmenu_unsortedBookmarks,
    #bookmarksMenuPopup menuseparator[builder="end"],
    #menu_unsortedBookmarks,
    #BMB_bookmarksPopup menuseparator[builder="end"],
    #BMB_unsortedBookmarks {display:none!important;}

  • Hide the menu in Firefox 4 is the bookmarks menu pop up in the right side of my bookmarks toolbar.

    When I've upgraded to Firefox 4 My Bookmarks toolbar was still there, but instead of going through the entire screen, on the right side is the menu bookmarks menu drop-down (with options to display all bookmarks, Bookmark this Page, and all of my bookmark folders). When I turn on the menu bar that it disappears from this place because it is in the Menu bar instead. I wish I had the hidden menu bar, but I don't want the menu bookmark taking place in my Bookmarks toolbar either. Is it possible to move (or delete)?

    I had the same problem. Try to delete the bookmarks drop down menu on the Navigation bar button.

  • How can I replace all the bookmarks menu with another menu of firefox from another computer

    I installed an old Firefox bookmarks, install files by mistake on a new Linux Mint.
    How can I remove the old menu bookmarks and install the new file menu?
    Firefox OS 35 - Mint 17
    Thank you

    You can restore a JSON backup — a backup in the folder bookmarkbackups Firefox automatically creates, or you create a backup.

    Restore a JSON backup will replace all existing bookmarks in contrast to import an HTML backup that merges with existing bookmarks bookmarks.

  • The search for the location of the FOLDER to a bookmark in my bookmarks menu of Firefox

    I organize my personal favorites in folders in my bookmarks menu of Firefox.
    I can search the bookmarks saved in the signet library.
    This gives a good selection of results containing information about the bookmark (web) name, access date etc but NOT the location of the folder in my bookmarks menu.
    How to identify the location of the bookmark FOLDER in my bookmarks menu of Firefox?

    Take a look at these three extensions and see that we have the features you want.

  • How can I change the location of default bookmark in the menu bookmarks to the bookmarks bar?

    The question already exactly described my problem.

    Whenever I have bookmark on a page, the default location is the value Menu bookmarks in the folder.

    However, I would like to change that to the bookmarks toolbar. How can I do?

    Thank you!

    Are you aware that you can easily add a new bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar by dragging the tab Web site icon in the bookmarks toolbar?

    Click ' drag is faster than to play with the system "save a new bookmark. BTW, it is not preferably built-in to Firefox to do what you ask about.

  • After that I ran update of FireFox, I lost the icon of menu bar to 1Password4. How to restore access to 1Password4?

    In the right section of the menu bar, FireFox update has replaced my icon of 1Password4 with an icon 'save in the Pocket. How to recreate the password icon?
    Thank you

    You can change the items that appear in the menu or the toolbar.

    1. Click the menu button

      and choose Customize.

      • A special tab opens that allows you to drag and drop items into or out of the menu and the toolbar. Feel free to experiment with what works best for you. You can always start over by clicking the defaults button at the bottom of the screen.

  • Swap the menu bookmarks with the Bookmarks button 'star'.

    There are a lot of answers there to get rid of the star on the new Favorites menu button button, and I share their frustration. However, my complaint is that I don't like the star button on the left of the double button. Is there a a way to replace the star key and the menu buttons drop down? To clarify, I want to keep the double button, but I want the button drop-down menu on the left and the star key 'Bookmark this Page' on the right.

    Here is a picture also help clarify what I'm looking to move.

    http://imgur.com/CfQrJ6o

    I appreciate any help you can offer!

    It is not possible in a simple way.
    Are not two buttons, but a single button, and the star is the main button and the other button is the drop marker as you can see if you inspect the code with the DOM Inspector.

    This drop marker also has a border or box-shadow on the left, so you should have to do a lot of CSS changes to make this work correctly.

    The two swapping is easy with the code to userChrome.css:

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #bookmarks-menu-button > dropmarker {-moz-box-ordinal-group: 0 !important;}

    The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.
