I use a graphics card from Nvidia GeForce 9400GT with two monitors (the two resolution 1600 x 1200). When the second monitor is in portrait mode, the contents of the window of Firefox are not correctly. This problem does not always occur, but when it does it persists as long as the computer is running (that is, between stops). The dysfunction of graph is displayed when the window is moved laterally, which case the contents don't follow the window correctly. This occurs if the "Show while dragging the content" is enabled or disabled.

  • Windows 7 - Pci to Pci bridge (error: Code 10)-PCI video card

Before that I declare my problems I will list what I'm running and I am trying to accomplish.

I'm under edition 64-bit of Windows 7 Enterprise, not the Beta or RC. I have 3 video cards in my possession (listed below).
    -(PCIe) Evga GTX260
    -(PCI) Evga 9400GT
    -Evga (PCI) Fx5500
Out of these 3 cards I only use the GTX260 and the 9400GT. I had to "retire" the Fx5500 because drivers latest WHQL (certified) only provided support as far down as the cards of Nvidia "6 series". Unfortunately the Fx5500 is a 'series 5' and falls below this line. I already tried to use the GTX260 and Fx5500 in earlier versions of Windows (XP and Vista), but there is no way to download and install two separate drivers for two of the same video card do - you will have nothing else to errors. There is the option to go to a place like guru3d.com and download a supported driver custom which covers both the GTX260 Fx5500, but drivers are not certified and lack support. Therefore, I bought and now use the 9400GT is covered by pilots for the GTX260, which eliminates the need for messing around with custom drivers. Also, the 9400GT has a better graphics processor and more memory than the Fx5500, so it was time to upgrade anyway.

Now that you have some info here is my problem, whenever I have install the 9400GT as I get a second entry "pci to pci bridge" (the other entrance has no errors) that appears under "System devices" in Device Manager. The entrance of bridge pci to pci second has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point, which refers to a problem. When you check the properties of this unit it is more or less said that Windows has detected a problem (error Code 10). The GTX260 is still working and still comes in "graphics cards" as a GTX260, but there is no entry for the 9400GT. I tried the 9400GT in two PCI ports and each time it does the same thing. If I get out the GTX260 and ONLY operate the 9400GT, I always get the question of the pci to pci bridge, BUT I get a picture and can boot into Windows 7 without a hitch. When I do that it is still nothing listed under "graphics cards" as a 9400GT or even a VGA compatible device.

After messing around with this for 10 hours (Yes, I said 10 hours) I decided to dig my retirement (the Fx5500) PCI video card. When I installed this card I had no entry bridge PCI to pci 2nd appear under "System Devices", and one that appeared had no yellow triangle or error codes. I then checked under "Graphics cards" and Windows 7 it was recognized as a VGA-compatible device and asked for drivers.

Now, I have concluded that there is absolutely no problem with the motherboard or my material (including video cards). In a first time EVGA support and I had suspected that the motherboard may be bad because of all the pre-diagnostic steps I had taken during my test of 10 hours. I won't enumerate what I did because it would literally take 3 hours to type everything in it. Just believe me when I say I've tried many things including but not limited to the latest bios updates (flashed 4 times and reset to ensure accuracy), IRQ customized management, all OS X 2, multiple/latest chipset drivers installed, reinstalling video multiple/last drivers installed, memtest test, complete equipment disassembly and re - build (adding a device at a time) and MUCH more. The only thing I have not tried installing another OS other than Windows 7 64 - bit to see if I could reproduce the problem. It's a waste of time, but because that let's say I install Windows XP Pro and the 9400GT doesn't have this problem... Well, that's fine, but who cares on XP Pro when I used it for the last 9 years and when I have a version full of Windows 7 I want to use? I'm certainly not running XP Pro on Windows 7 just to use the PCI video card. Second, if I install XP Pro and it always gives me the same error of bridge pci to pci and then, I only lost more time than because if it s not to go to work or the other OS, then I m sure that hell will not leave XP Pro installed when I use Windows 7.

    Thank you

  • Windows 7 ult 64, play the game and watch movie

can someone please offer me a solution to this dilemma?

I recently bought a new computer, with quad core 3.4, win 7 ult 64 and want to really take advantage of the quadcore.

I would like to play call of duty as my wife is watching a movie on windows support.

at the moment I have on board sound and my motherboard has no video embedded if im using a nvidia 9400gt 1 GB

Do I need an additional sound card and a video card?

    I'd really appreciate any input!

    Thank you advance!

The key for a monitor is in windowed mode. 90% games today (and older games) have a very basic function called windowed mode. What it does is present the game in a window much like solitaire or windows media player.

The main problem is that you have a nvidia 9400 (which, if it is similar to the x 400 series should push the 2 monitors), who has an obvious lack of graphics power. Call of Duty 1 and DVD-quality video could be pushing.

I've been using fs9 since 2005 and did not have any problem of an uninstall and the recharge could not or would not fix so far. I am running Windows XP Professional on a card, Gigabyte, AMD triple core cpu, NVIDIA 9400GT and 2 gig of ram graphics card. • My computer is still slow

I had Windows Vista and one day it turned suddenly very slow and after a while it would freeze and I have to restart the computer. So I decided to reinstall the operating system, but since I lost my vista disk I downloaded Ubuntu on usb and installed it. It worked fine for a few days and then he began again to be very slow at times and freeze. I thought that it was RAM and I bought 2 gb, now I have 3 GB and Ubuntu worked fine. Then I installed windows xp and the problems came back. He turns especially slow when I go on youtube or an other sites that use flash player, as even when I'm not connected on the internet, it is very slow, including windows media player, or whatever it is, it is just slow. I don't know what could be a problem because I have 3 GB of ram, Pentium D 3.00 Ghz, Nvidia 9400GT and drive hard maxtor 160 GB. My friend told me it might be a dying motherboard and if the computer is not a beep when I turn it on it means that something is wrong with it, but the motherboard is fine, I hear that beep and the beginning. I don't know what else could be a problem, I have no virus or any program that has not been working well before.

It's too bad that Ms. Answers does not ask for any information system when a new question is asked.

Not knowing anything about your system, when I hear problems like yours, I think of readers IDE that can back from DMA mode to PIO mode.

If you are using SATA drives, the following does not apply.

If you are using IDE drives, continue reading:

If you are using IDE drives, use Device Manager to make sure the transfer mode for the IDE channels to something as DMA if available (depends on your hardware) and the slow PIO mode.

PIO is the slow mode, DMA is the fastest mode.

It is easy to check and usually easy to fix and the mode would not have changed in itself, so if she changed to PIO, change it to DMA, and then understand why it changed and fix it.

To launch the Device Manager console, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\devmgmt.msc

    Click OK.

Expand the section controller IDE / ATA to see your IDE channels. Each right click and choose Properties for each channel that has a tab advanced settings, determine the Transfer Mode. There are usually 4 channels to check in a desktop computer, maybe less for laptops.

Faster selection will be a kind of selection DMA (usually: DMA DMA5, UDMA, etc.).  If it is PIO, change
    to the DMA.

  • PCI Express x 16 card - impossible to REMOVE

    Hello

I recently bought the HP Pavilion p6020a PC and inserted/updated the graphics card (PCIe - x 16 slot) for NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT.

Prior to insertion, I noticed the 2-black type of sticks on the edge of the slot/connector. I aligned the map horizontally against the connector and used a thrust 2 fingers before the card went inside the slot very easily and smoothly. However, after insertion, I DON'T see the type 2-black sticks more.

Now, I try to remove the card from the machine slot, but can't unlock it on the side that I don't see anything. However, using a torch, it seems that there is a small button, black-box-like, which seems to be attached to the card.

How can I delete this card? Please teach me with specific stages. I actually break?

    Thank you

  • FSX and FSX acceleration not will not activate after the uninstallation and reinstallation of the following problems with Windows 7 upgrade

After the upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 Windows 7, I couldn't FSX to load.  It would hang at the splash screen.  This has since been resolved and may have been a conflict between my card graphic and sound card and maybe even my webcam.  I then tried to reinstall FSX.  However, I decided to load up the Accerleration as before, but when I entered the activation code it says after trying that he could not get an answer to the server and to verify that I had an internet session active.  I did, but he always refused to activate.  So I uninstalled FSX acceleration and ran repair on FSX.  But now, he wants the activation code for FSX and when I write this so I always get the message that it cannot get a response from the server, please try again later or check that your internet connection is active.  I have the full internet connection, but doesn't understand why it won't save my activation codes.  I am limited to 30 minutes and cannot be installed acceleration as it wants the code for FSX.  I read on the forum that you can uninstall and reinstall on the same computer as many times you like then why used enable it?  It seems that he doesn't like my internet connection even though I am on the internet.  Anyone has any ideas. My pc is a Dell Inspiron 530 s with Nvidia 9400Gt card and card Soundblaster with 160 gb 1.66 ghz, 4gig ram and router Netgear WGR614 cable wireless

Hi steve, I managed to install in the end.  I upgraded to a hard drive more that I wanted more space and copied the image to the new drive.  FSX is not yet accept the keys during the installation.  I ran the above utilities (see blog Amritas) to clear the license keys, empty temporary folders and change the registry entry by using 'regedit' on the command line, but still his wouldn't.  In the end, I installed and uninstalled three times until I finally installed it on a partition on the drive and he finally accepted the license keys.  This was done on the original admin user account that I had problems with from the start.  I have now it works.  The utility I used was KB928080 Microsoft.   I can only suggest you keep trying or partition of your hard drive and try and install on the new partition after erasing the license keys and temp folders (see above Amrita).  I can't guarantee that it works well.  To me it's a question of licenses i.e. acceleration has been uninstalled and reinstalled many times so it will no longer accept the license keys.  Happy installing! I don't know how is it frustrating.

  • Bluetooth headset does not work with Windows 7 - device is detected.

I have a Dell XPS 1530, which had Vista 32 bit running. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. Ever after that the Bluetooth of DELL BH 200 headset does not work with my laptop.

The bluetooth adapter and the device is fine since I'm able to search and find all bluetooth devices, including my helmet. However, I get a yellow exclamation on the headset under devices. The headset can be paired with other devices such as my mobile and works very well.

I tried to update the drivers and reinstall the device and the adapter from the Device Manager. We have a similar setup on my brother's computer and it works fine.

Another thing to watch, would be what battery is used.  I know from personal exp some devices work with Toshiba stack, vs the MSFT pile up.  Do a search and see if anyone else uses a different battery with these devices.
