96% battery status shows 35 minutes remaining

The battery is charge normally, emptying normally (depending on usage), is functioning normally, but the stats / chart to display the battery to use the time in "minutes", which is misleading and scary too.

At the moment it is 96%, but said only 35 minutes of battery left.

What could possibly be wrong?

Updating of the State did not help. I stop the device and rebooting has not solved the problem either.

You took this screen shot at 04:20. I'm guessing that you unplugged the phone at about 3:45, because it is tell you that the phone has worked on battery for 35 minutes and 38 seconds.

  • The battery takes only 10 minutes and portable life time stopping randomly.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista. I got it for about 4 years, and since a few weeks ago my battery life has declined rapidly. Once it is fully charged, I unplug the unit and he said that I usually have about 13 minutes remaining until I have to reload. The battery used to last nearly 2 hours. 20% remaining capacity, my computer is asleep at random and locks. I have to wait a few minutes and then press the power button / stop and type in my password again. I already have my plan of the battery power as "Power Saver" that increases the battery life. I was prompted to change my setting of peak power, which I did, with no result. Here's what my settings are:

Critical battery action: sleep (cannot change this)
    Critical battery level: 1%
    Low battery action: do nothing
    Low battery: 3%
I changed numbers autour and nothing seems to work better than anything else. I'm really angry at the short battery life and falling asleep randomly. Can anyone help? Should I get a new laptop or just a new battery?

    Hello

4 years is a long time for a battery and degradation that you see is expected.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this, if your battery is fine slots - just clean up the edges of the knife which fit in)
them and be careful). Batteries are old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%
However on a laptop that not extend their life a lot. Best is to use the a/c adapter
    When this is possible.

    Hello

Here is a solution I tried after lookng through various forums and type of works for me. A common thing in most of the solutions is to take the battery and sim card out, leave like this for 1-2 hours and put them, I found back in and turn it on. I'm not sure of the logic behind it, but I remember reading that this overshadow the phone battery problems (connected incorrectly - essentially a reset) and begins to charge.

I tried it 2 days back and I see that it worked for me, at least until now. I cross my fingers.

I hope it's useful, works at least for few of you.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

  • Battery status icon

I lost the battery status icon in my taskbar (right). One that shows the percentage charge etc. How can this be restored on my ThinkPad R500

If it's something that just happened in your current Windows session, then restarting may well bring back.

If this isn't the case, then click on start-> all programs-> ThinkVantage-> Power Manager. When Power Manager opens go to the tab options and tick ' display gauge of Power Manager in the task bar.

  • 5th generation iPod Touch battery drains in 20 Minutes

HEy, I got my iPod almost 4 years (since Christmas) and in approximately the first year I noticed the battery was not well kept and in 2014 (when I got my iPhone 5 c), I decided to stop using my iPod because the battery lasted about 45 minutes. Since then, I just used my iPod, (todo only occasional updates) and even for that was probably a year ago. Now my iPod battery only lights up when it is cool and it's terrible. I used to overload my iPod when I was younger, without knowing the effects, but I do not see why my battery got worse when I have not used a lot. I don't know what to do with my iPod now, to sell it or what, because it sits on unused buffet. Any ideas on what to do?

There is no way to overcharge the battery, so you don't have to damage it by doing this. But the battery needs to be "exercised" and when you leave the use who killed the battery. You need to replace.

    Hi KrishnaFT9,

Welcome to the Community Forums of Lenovo!

Always on battery indicator indicates that the battery has a sufficient charge to power the computer and when the indicator turns red means that the battery needs to be recharged, it is the new type of indication and it is normal and there is no need to worry.

  • Battery status values

    Hello:

I got my Atrix a month ago, I had with 1.26 and I realized that when the phone was not plugged in, the battery status would say 'not charging', but now, after I upgraded to 1.83, I realized it now says "unload" when the phone is disconnected. I tried the API and everything and I discovered that the possible values for this field are:

    Unknown
    Does not charge

    To carry out

    Load

    Full

But what I didn't want to say these fields, is there a negative sense in the performance, or is it the same as not charging? I worry especially because I get a reboot once a week (I checked the forums and it's somewhat normal, but anyway)

Please if anyone knows, I would be very grateful if you shared.

    Thank you

    jorgejams

When your phone is turned on and sitting in standby mode, it will be 'discharge' or using the battery. If it is plugged in it will be "load". If it has connected and fully charged, it will be 'full' and if it is hooked up and loads but not complete, it will 'recharge '. Unknown occurs when the phone cannot determine what it does. I'm not sure "do not load" but I guess you might get this message if the phone cannot be charged.

  • Status.Show disable the click?

I have a simple script and I am trying to use a Status.Show to display a window on the screen. I want to keep the active area until the ESC key is clicked.

I run this box to a background thread, and I can't understand it.

It seems to work if the user clicks on the information area will be null on clicks on the screen and will keep the information on the screen box. However, when the box appears first if the user clicks anywhere on the screen outside of the box it will close the box.

How can I keep the box open even if the user clicks outside of it? I use this code below

    Status.show(String.valueOf(_defaultMessage),Bitmap.getPredefinedBitmap(Bitmap.INFORMATION),10000000, Status.GLOBAL_STATUS,true,true,0);

I don't think its possible using the dialog box.

You will need to write your own custom dialog box by extending the Dialog class.

  • I can't the battery status in the job prompt.

I use Workstation 9.0.2 on a Ubuntu 12.04.2 host a Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04.2 comments. It is all running on a ThinkPad X 230. The guests were created when I had version 9.0.0 installed Workstation.

I check title 'Report battery of guest information' for both hosts and started their. The guest OS do not seem to detect the battery.

As a note, I have noticed battery reporting does not when Ubuntu eventually removed the path/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0 obsolete in favor of the/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0 way. I just guess that is related and perhaps Workstation leans on the proc file system and not the sys file system.

    Thank you.

    Hi AlanaA,

  • Battery Dell Inspiron N5110 shows 3 minutes but this last up to an hour.

I use Dell Inspiron N5110. I use the original dell and charger battery. When the battery is fully charged. Just after 2 minutes it shows the battery. It decreases very quickly. When he reached up to 3 to 5 minutes of the end. but in fact it lasts almost an hour. but it keep say remaining 3 per cent or 5 per cent remaining, it is question of battery or do I need the bios update.

    Hi asupc,

    Thanks for posting.

There are more experts available on the Forum of the laptop that can help with this question, however, I can try to answer here.

Normal is between a year and 18 months. Here is some information about laptop batteries that you might find useful.

If you are still under warranty, your battery will be covered by the warranty on the equipment you bought your computer. If this isn't the case, you can buy a new Dell, parts - People.com or Discount Electronics.  Be careful with the Chinese "knockoffs" as they would have been the cause of several fires.

If you need assistance, please contact me private.  Thank you.

    Kind regards
    Robert
