A blue screen: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

  1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
  2. What is the full error message that you receive?
  3. Are you able to boot into Windows after getting the blue screen error on the computer?

    Hello

All attached files of the DMP are the error checking DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1) .

A kernel mode driver attempted to access pageable memory with an IRQL (Interrupt Request level) that was too high.

Usual causes are a device driver has a bug and tried to access invalid memory, the swap file is damaged or there is a memory problem.

Throughout your * D1 dumps, it seems that the consistent culprit is Teefer.sys who is a pilot with respect I think the Sygate Personal Firewall.

We see Teefer is subsequently called in various networking related routines, then a verification error, so we probably have a conflict. Take a look at your list of loaded modules, I see you have installed Norton. It's more than likely that the firewall is in conflict with, if you have two choices:

    1. remove and replace Norton with built-in Windows Defender from Windows 8 and use Windows Firewall.

    or

    2. remove Sygate Personal Firewall and use Norton on its own.

  • To every time at startup blue screen + graphics card question

    Hello

Since this is my first time that I post something here, I'll get to point. Since I got a new called graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 1 GB

    My system:

    Compaq Presario SR5110NX

    OS: Win Vista 32 bit

    Hard drive: 120 GB

    RAM: 2 GB

    video card driver version: 8.791.0.0

    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core 5600 processor +.

I had nothing other than errors, blue screens (especially this: IRQL_not_less_or_equal... error message) and driver issues with this video card, although the last updated driver is installed successfully, I stil think that the error message that I receive on a blue screen: IRQL_not_less_or_equal

I cleaned over and over again my registry with RegGenie. so I'm sure that my registry has not caused this, I need a solution to this problem at the end but it's a bit weird to have a driver installed corectly give a blue screen 2 minutes after the start. Any ideas here? any help will be appreciated.

In addition, this could be due to the video card overheating? He completely 2 heat sinks, I should install a fan on it?

    Hello

now I know what was causing the error, was not the graphics card, because since 2 days I did not get blue screens or mistakes, but it is a Realtek audio driver which was defective, so now, I have no day and no mistake.

As a side note, I replaced the battery cmos in my bios and bios was showing on my first screen and then the next day I turned on the 2nd moniter (dual screen) and the bios showed on screen but the first would be empty, I already had a stick of memory on the 3, I bought so he won't miss me about 6 months ago... I am running WIndows XP Pro SP3 on a Dell Optiplex gx270s and get several error messages stop "Blue screen" intermittent and different at startup (for protect my computer). Prompt notification Windows found problems with the file system and run CHKDSK/F. I am unable to do so as I can not find my administrator password (also necessary if you plan to run from my XP installation disc). Windows Fix - It Center, running 'Folder & troubleshooting' reports icons randomly change the icons but no resolves not. I didn't notice the icons change and do not if this is related to Stop what error messages at startup, I've been doing. Running a disk check during start-up and Diagnostics IDE are not problems. It lasts for quite awhile and I've delayed just deal with it because it is not always the case. A lot of program installs / uninstalls and Microsoft Updates since its start if the system restore wouldn't do me any good. Before reinstalling the operating system, what are my options? Is there a way to reset my ' Administor password ", or better yet does not require one, (it is a personal computer for personal use only and I don't remember why a password has been assigned)?

System has been great from the GET go, there are more than 2 weeks. Never a failure to the no boot, no lock ups etc. Woke up in the middle of the night last week with cmptr attempt to restart. No new software or hardware installed had been. Nothing worked, quiet dampened.

From there on, I was not able to start Windows.

I entered the BIOS and tried to start a well known point... nothing. Always get blue screen. I have reset the CMOS on the mobo, removed the battery on the mobo and reinstalled. I unplugged the two hard drives power and SATA cables, bought a NEW (third) HD and installed, with only one new HD connected, with a full version of Windows Vista DVD in the CD/DVD drive, tried to boot Windows from scratch... still get the blue screen?

    Blue screen says:

A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time...

Check that any hardware or software is installed correctly.

    (0 x 0000000000000001),

    (0xFFFFF8000A481DD2)

I was able to run the memory test and it came back without errors. I was not able to get to "repair your computer", as the beginning is never far away. When the computer reboots, it comes to the sequence: normal mobo beeps (five) than even that when the system was working fine... then I get the graph of the mobo splash screen EVGA P55 SLI,... then black screen with "Windows loading files"... which appears just above the loading bar (it looks like gage fuel fill from left to right).

Once the bar then "fills" Blue Screen of Death!

It's EXTREMELY frustrating because it was built for me by an employee of INTEL (very smart read), all latest drivers etc. Very little software loaded on the system. Most of the aid that I read guess you can operate within Windows already... Catch 22! I can't!

    Cause

This bug check is issued if the memory paged (or invalid) is accessible when the IRQL is too high.

The error that usually generates this bug check occurs after the installation of the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS.

If you encounter a bug 0xA control during the upgrade to a later version of Windows, this error can be caused by a device driver, system service, an anti-virus or a backup tool that is not compatible with the new version.

    Solve the problem

If a kernel debugger is available, get a stack trace.

To resolve an error caused by the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system.
    3. In the Windows Advanced Options menu, select last known good Configuration . This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time.

To resolve an error caused by an incompatible device driver, system service, virus scanner, or backup tool

    1. Check the system log in Event Viewer for error messages that may identify the device or driver that caused the error.
    2. Try disabling the cache in memory of the BIOS.
    3. Run the diagnostics of equipment provided by the manufacturer of the system, in particular the scanner memory. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
    4. Make sure that the latest Service Pack is installed.
    5. If your system has cards (SCSI) small computer system interface, contact the card manufacturer for updated Windows drivers. Try to disable sync negotiation in the SCSI BIOS, check the wiring and the SCSI ID of each device and confirming the proper termination.
    6. For devices (IDE) peripheral electronic integrated, set the built-in as only primary IDE port. Also, check each IDE device to the right setting master/slave/stand alone. Try to remove all IDE devices except for the hard drives.

If the message appears during installation of Windows, make sure that the computer and installed devices are listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.

  • 0 X 00000050 IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BLUE SCREEN / PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON-PAGED_AREA

    Hi guys,.

    Windows Vista Toshiba Satelite.

The computer loads up to the icon and the theme of windows crashes and enters the blue screen where the 2 following messages (alternating) can be read:

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON-PAGED_AREA

    or

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    Both have the code:

    0 x 00000050 (0x8084460A, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000, 0x824CCF83)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Tina

You can get into safe mode? If you can, we need, in order to solve problems that might cause your system to block the dump files.

In an ideal situation, several files would be necessary to establish a model so if you have more than one, please download them.

Please refer to the link below to get the procedure recover, zip and upload them to the site as onedrive, file sharing google "dropbox, etc.".

When you are finished, make public the folder and share the link here.

  • Blue screen with the error "irql_not_less_or_equal"

I have a problem I can not correct and hoped someone could help me fix.

I got a blue screen while I was working on my laptop. I restarted windows and once connected, the office appeared and everything seemed ok, but before I could do anything that I got another blue screen with the error "irql_not_less_or_equal" So now, I have only access in safe mode.

I tried to restore the system to a previous point, but the same error occurred during windows startup.

Then I made a backup of my files and tried to use the disk to reboot, but again, I got a blue screen (I don't remember the excact error) after the first loading bar, so noting changed.

Then I looked at the log files and found that, just before the first crash, an adobe update has been installed. I removed adobe list startup failed, completely remove the adobe doesn't either.

Also, in safe mode I don't have an internet connection (without wire or cable). Blue screen errors is not always the same, esspesially codes "stop".

My knowledge of windows is very bad, so I just tried things people recommended on internet. If someone could help me would be great. I deleted all my important files from my laptop so I don't mind lossing just as long as windows functiones correctly again.

    Thank you

    King

Sorry, but there are way too many mistakes even describe.  You have about 5000 errors of Avast.  I would like to delete it

  • IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Blue Screen on Vista Home Premium x 32

    Hello

In the last 2 months I was struggling with my computer. He keeps "overload" the RAM on its own, even if I'm just surfing the web or playing a game. I don't have a lot of programs running, just TuneUp Utilities, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Dropbox.
After about 20-30 minutes of use, my PC would come with this "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" blue screen of death. I tried everything, including: MemTest, cleaning the dust out of the inside and defragmentation. MemTest encounter errors with my RAM and this leaves me really clueless as to what is causing the problem... Everything is up to date so it cannot be a driver problem either.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    You are welcome to help.

Driver Realtek can you, in the device, right-click the NIC Realtek Manager and select "Uninstall".

In addition, choose "Remove the driver for this device" > OK

Restart the computer and let Windows redetect the device and install the drivers.

  • My Vista system crashes, blue screen on startup: irql_not_less_or_equal STOP: 0x0000000A (0 x 0, 00000002 00000001, 0x81AE8590)

My Vista system was crushed, tried everything, but finally resorted to a recovery of the original factory image off the coast of the hard drive Partition. Everything seemed to go smooth but now I get a blue screen at startup: irql_not_less_or_equal STOP: 0x0000000A (0 x 0, 00000002 00000001, 0x81AE8590)

Odd part is the system has two RAM slots, we have a 2 GB key and another has a 1 GB. Could not get the machine to start with two sticks in. Will start with a stick in each thin slot. Will not start no matter how they are installed if you are using the two RAM slots. Ran SFC/scannow. He found errors, that it cannot correct. How can I fix these errors?

CBS log is large enough: what details should I post it to help you troubleshoot?

Note: Were able to update the system, including the installation of updates Windows 128 and seems to be updated throughout the SP-2. I really don't want to run another recovery if possible.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Perhaps you have different brands of RAM in your computer, and so it would not start with the two inserted Rams. Do a check for your specific PC memory that tells you what products work with your system.

Follow the information in this article.
Know what type of RAM you need

    In addition, updated BIOS.

    Warning of the BIOS:
BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

If scan SFC did not fix the issue, I would say that you follow the steps in this article to fix it.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Regarding blue screen errors, follow the steps in this article that applies also for Vista.

Resolve stop (blue screen) error in Windows 7

  • Get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Error with blue screen

    Hello

I get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Error with blue screen when I start the machine.
    STOP: 0X0000000A (0X00000000, 0X804DC11D, 0X00000001, 0 X 000000002)

I can't connect in Debug Mode. I tried winDBG, but cannot interpret the output (output is attached below). There was no new HW SW or recently installed or when this error occurred.

I also tried to run Verifier.exe with the option "Select all drivers installed automatically on this computer" and as soon as I chose this option, another mistake (and cannot change this option), DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    STOP: 0x000000D1(0x8068329C,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x89E4460A)

  • Blue Screen error PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA & IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL after I found a redirect virus

The other day I noticed that I had a virus that was redirecting my searches on Google to scour.com. I used my anti-virus installed (PC-Cillin) and downloaded Malware Bytes removed the virus. Since then, my computer always gives me the blue screen of death once it starts. Startup of Windows and the programs that are supposed to start start to leave, but after a few minutes I STILL get the blue screen of death, and I'm getting various messages including IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (no driver is listed), I also gottene PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA; It seems to be a different problem each time. What is going on? I still have a virus or something?
I tried the system restore, does not solve the problem. When I try to change the registry through the command prompt in safe mode to copy the \RegBack\ file beforehand, I get a "sharing violation". How can I fix the registry through safe mode?

    Hello

To check again if the problem is caused by a Virus/Malware on the system, I suggest to refer to the link below and run the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner and check if the problem is caused by an Infection of Virus/Malware on the system

To run the scanner Windows Live OneCare refer to the link below

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

The Blue Screen of Death occurs when Windows encounters a critical problem which it can't get out without stop to stop operations after posting the diagnosis of the problem in the form of the Blue error screen.

Follow the steps below to solve the problem with the blue screen of death.

    Method 1:

Try to access your computer in safe mode and follow the steps below. You can start safe mode and then try to repair the registry.

To start your system in safe mode follow the article below:

Start your computer in safe mode

    Note:

Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756

    Method2:

    Step 1:

Try to perform the clean boot in safe mode and check if the problem persists:

To perform the clean boot follow the article below:

    Clean boot

    Note:
After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Step 2:

Also try to perform the material clean boot when you start return to normal mode. To perform the starting material in minimum mode follow the steps below:

You can try to perform a clean boot material and check if the problem is caused due to all the equipment connected to the computer.

To perform the material clean boot, follow the steps below:

    (a) disconnect all external devices.

    (b) start the system in safe mode.

    (c) go to Device Manager

Device that can be disabled to perform a clean boot material are

    ·         Video cards.

    ·         Sound card.

    ·         Network card.

    ·         USB devices and controller

    ·         CD\DVD.

    ·         Modems.

    ·         Ports (series and parallel)

After doing this, if you are able to Start in Normal Mode, try to activate the device one by one and find out which device is causing the problem. Try to install the latest driver for this device, or contact the vendor of hardware .

    Method3:

You can run the control and verification of the disc if it solves the problem:

To perform monitoring of disk check the steps outlined in the article below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/check-a-drive-for-errors

For more information about how to manage the blue screen error please follow the article below:

I can do when I'm trying to download the video corder cam panasonic HDD. Whenever I go to some video and am trying to download to my hard drive I get the blue screen every time.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hello

Remember, test the memory and pay attention to the argument in the above troubleshooting utility
This memory test intercept all errors. Try to run with less than sticks and change the place-
Order lying sticks to try to ensure faster (even if the same card) is installed in the front
    slower.

Have you checked on the other Bug_Checks to FaultWire? 1, 1 a, FE, 8th and D1? When you get this
several BSOD is its best for a very broad approach basis for trying to limit problems. Which
means, update ALL your main drivers, BIOS and drivers of the low-level chipset. Remove your gift
antivirus/security programs and run the removal of their creator tools. Do the same for others who
never been in the machine, not used, or uninstalled. See below for recommendations of use
during the test, however in permanently would be even better.

If a PC remove ALL power and reinstall the cards memory and cables (at both ends where possible)
-in fact, remove and replace - do not just tight. Clean the dust bunnies and ensure that the
fans are running (when the case is enabled). Try using a small fan blowing in the intake to reduce
the effects of the heat. On a laptop computer on all you can do is to reinstall the memory, clean the vents, and
    try using a small fan.

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
    Operation of the network.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
    Finish those you don't use).

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

    I hope this helps.
