• Critical security updates do not install

  I use "Automatic updates" and recently found that 22 security of "Critical" updates are ready to be installed. I tried to install them manually and was informed that everything that follows could not install. If they are "critical" why can not install them?

• Vista security update problem

  Most recent update, check on my hard disk has been altered during the installation of Windows.  I had Vista Ultimate 32 bit on this drive.  Attempts to repair disk or restore disk has failed.

  My second drive has Vista Ultimate 64-bit installed.  When I started from this drive, Windows, installed the security update.  On the next startup, Windows wouldn't start: record on this disk as corrupt.  No luck with the repair or restoration.

  Everyone knows about this problem?  Does anyone have suggestions for a solution?  I don't want to lose all the data on these discs.

  Hello. Note that my old Dell XPS computer was not able to download the Windows Security Update #KB2686509 since it was originally released on 09/05/12. All the previous updates posted fine. Tried to do a system restore but it won't allow me to access before June 7.   I would like advice or corrections to this dilemma. Thank you.

  Have you seen error messages? The update saw fail installation with an error 0x8007F0F4.

• 2016-002 10.10.5 - security update problem

  The recent update on my MacPro (2 days ago) came with a message after reboot that "in order to run applications needed rebuild libraries" or words to that effect. He then took my password did not accept despite several attempts. I continued pressing ESC until the message has disappeared. With the reboot, all my request in the lower tray buttons had disappeared and the standard wallpaper for Yosemite was back, so all my user settings have disappeared. This morning iTunes appears as if it was the first time, it runs, and I discovered that all my music albums (500 odd) have disappeared.

• How can I download a security update after that several unsuccessful attempts?

  I am told that I have to download a critical security update.  I tried several times (6 or 7) and each time I like the download failed.  How can I sucessfully download a security update for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 x $86 KB2833941$?  I am running Windows XP.

  Uninstall the .NET Framework 1.1. Then download the .NET Framework Cleanup Tool
  In the drop-down list box, select 1.1 and clean.
  Reinstall .NET Framework 1.1
  Download and install. NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1
  Visit Windows Update or Microsoft Update and let it install the rest of the 1.1 updates, including KB2833941.

  Check if it is installed and report.
