"A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed." NVIDIA drivers
So I recently wanted to install new NVIDIA drivers on my computer. The installer downloaded completely and at the time where he finished extract the files of the error "a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed." Since then, I uninstalled my drivers and I can't always install the new drivers. Now I'm stuck with no driver at all.
I asked this question on NVIDIA support page and have not received a response, so I came here to ask. Help is very appreciated.
Thank you
I understand your willingness to help me, but I have advanced and reinstalled windows. Got the new driver installed and everything works fine.
Thank you

I downloaded a program from CNET. Did not work so I removed it. A day or two later, I get the following error a lot.

I ran the auditor system and program files Microsoft security and found no integrity issues.
At this stage it would be easier to upgrade to Ultimate (I use Professional now) that in order to understand the problem of the DOF. I guess the upgrade I will lose all files/programs, correct.
Thank you
Yes, that's correct Loran. You can use the Professional disc window and perform the upgrade. This will put just the new copy of your computer's system files.
But if you have the Ultimate version, you can use the ultimate disc or the ultimate product key to upgrade.

I did a system restore to a point before that my main user account has been established. I had to set up a new user, and then it was suggested that to copy all the data of the user "existing" to the newly created user. When I did this it's not well at all and some DLL files have been corrupted or deleted or not connecting correctly to the user of your choice. I actually then did a restore of the system to the last restore point. However, given that SR does not change the data, I was stuck with the wrong DLL and other system files. I thought I had stupid test because I had backed up data. I tried to restore to an earlier point (using Windows backup and restore). Unfortunately the restore will not work and I get the following error: "a systematic failure of the initialization of the Dynamic Link Library (DLL). I need to repair or replace the corrupt to get the system back and then protected files again. I'd appreciate any help!

the Dynamic link library initialization routine failed
When I right click on an item in my document library, you receive a DLL error run, "there was a problem starting (new line) C:\Users\whatever\wow.dll (new line) a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed."
I restarted mode without failure, and the problem was gone. Back in normal view, the problem remains. I ran the Microsoft Safety Scanner and found no viruses or problems. Problem still remained. I did a clean boot and the problem remains.
Any suggestions?
TomIV
Hi Tom,
I appreciate your efforts on this issue.
Wow.dll is a library file that is responsible for the parasite main functions implementation and execution of its destructive payload. The file wow.dll cannot run by itself and therefore must be loaded with the help of some executable files. However, certain parasites reconfigures the operating system or installs wow.dll as a plugin, so that the system or certain applications it load automatically at startup.
The wow.dll file is installed and used by Wowcraft.e. In most cases, wow.dll is responsible for all the harmful actions that takes the pest. Remove this file will immediately terminate the parasite or partially disable it. This is why the wow.dll file must be deleted manually. If you cannot erase it, consider using the removers spyware recommended, which will get rid of wow.dll and associated parasites for you.
In some cases a presence of wow.dll does not mean that your system is infected. The file may belong to some legitimate applications and therefore must remain intact. If in doubt, please scan the file wow.dll you regular spyware remover or antivirus program.
Initially I suggest you refer to the Dodgers022255 post responded on 16 April 2013 for the help below link.
Scan your computer using Microsoft Safety Scanner mode safe mode with networking.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

LabVIEW 8.6.1: nilvaiu.dll failed DLL initialization routine
I have just upgraded to LV 8.6.1 on Windows Vista, and all my routines DAQmx won't load with the message:
Error loading "nilvaiu.dll.
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.
According to some old posts, I tried to add write permissions to all of the files from C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments, but that did not help.
I also uninstalled DAQmx - LV 8.6 support and reinstalled but that has no effect.
I also tried to run 'regsvr32' on the DLL, but failed with a similar message.
Everyone knows this?
Is there a solution?
Jason
I encountered the same error of nilvaiu.dll after you have reinstalled the drivers LV2009SP1 and NI of DVD 2010 - DS1. While working through the error with me, Ben, AND found support this resource: ' software failure OR when PAE (physical address Extension) is enabled on the Windows operating systems '. (Document ID 54D9I6M6). This turns out be the problem of the root of both my 'nidevmon.exe' failure on boot failure and "nilvaiu.dll" on DAQmx support: recent DAQ libraries are incompatible with the enabled physical address extension.
I am running Windows Server 2003 with 4 GB of RAM. PAE is enabled by default with Server 2003. (Look at system-> general to see if the EAP are enabled: it is just below the RAM.) As Microsoft recommends that EAP not be disabled because it ensures the safety of execution, I followed the second of the two suggested methods.
I've edited the boot.ini file (System-> properties-> Advanced-> startup and Recovery-> Edit), added/maxmem = 4096 for the start command and restarted. Nidevmon.exe both nilvaiu.dll errors have been corrected with this change.
System-> general reports now 3.25 GB of RAM (vs 4.00 before) so I lost a little more memory than expected. I can watch using the /burnmemory switch, that Microsoft recommends more/maxmem because maxmem "does not take into account memory hole". I'm trying /burnmemory = 16 now.

I downloaded and installed the windows 7 transformation pack and then when I removed it a few months later he repeated this message whenever I started a program.
. DLL or Dynamic Link Library files are collections of routines or function that are accessible and used by one or more programs as needed. The Ordinal Point is an entry point or address where a program can expect to find a specific routine or function. Different versions of a. DLL can have different collections of routines that is held inside and as such, addresses can vary.
It would seem that the "transformation pack" has another (e.g. updated...?) version of the urlmon.dll file and 'remove' the transformation pack made the remaniing version on your XP with problems.
You could try the reinstatement of the existing urlmon.dll. Tap on the Windows key + R or click on Start, run - paste or type in the following in the text Open run dialog box.
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
... and click OK. If this does not resolve your problem, you can also try a full System File Check. Tap on the Windows key + R or click on Start, run - paste or type in the following in the text Open run dialog box.
cmd
... and click OK. At the opening of the command window, type the following,
sfc/scannow
..., and then tap on
Please note that you mentioned a urlmonn.dll. I'm not familiar with this specific. DLL and have provided guidance for the reinstatement of the urlmon.dll instead. If the stray file is indeed urlmonn.dll please adjust the instructions accordingly. -

Now if this does not help much, or you don't know what to do with it, and then follow these steps:
Looks like you have some sort of network problem, but we are not a 'thing' on your system to be a great help. This is because the forums MS Answers does not prompt for information, when a new question is asked.
Provide information on your system, the better you can:
What is your system brand and model?
What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)
The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?
You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?
When you see this message?
If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?
Please provide additional information on your system:

First of all, you can not install SP3, except if you have SP2 installed successfully. Since you have SP1a, you need install SP2, then try to install the SP3 and IE8.
In addition, this can happen if your SP service pack is damaged/corrupted.

I am running MS Vista on my laptop. Recently when I start up I get the message "the 495 ordinal not found in the dynamic link library urlmon.dll" in a popup box and must cancel 10 times before I can move forward.
I thought somehow it may relate to a recent update that has been accepted for Skype on my system. So I uninstalled Skype. Attempts to reinstall Skype have failed. the installed app, but I cannot arrive at a login screen. Instead of the normal Skype window, I have just the bottom of loading in a web browser.
I found a similar one but transposed ordinal error discussed 459 in the KB and I tried following many of its steps (+ my results):
"Method 1:
To resolve this problem in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
a. Quit all programs that are running.
b. Click Start and then click Run.
c. type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
d. When you receive the message "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded," click OK.
('DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll' received successful)
If this does not resolve the issue, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the names of files below):
· Shdocvw.dll (failed)
· Actxprxy.dll (failed)
· Oleaut32.dll (failed)
· Mshtml.dll (received no response)
· Browseui.dll (failed)
· Shell32.dll (managed)
Method (step 2):
I suggest you to start in safe mode and test the question.
Safe boot mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Method (step 3):
I suggest you perform a SFC Scan and check if it helps.
The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.
How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
(SFC Scan completed successfully)
Side note: when I started in Mode safe I immediately received an error "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library"Application request time to close in an unusual way"
DavidMCandy suggested the user a list of the URLMON. Dll on the system. I did as well. See the file on my Onedrive to

I hope this will help you to find me a solution to my problem.
First of all lets run a startup repair.
This hardware test (and other things but we want to test the equipment). To do maintenance on the database and the files used by your two frequent falls (related to how windows manages system files including Windows Update). SFC is also linked to this, so we know that certain parts are working.
After return from the logs generated.
Startup Repair
If your computer has a single operating system installed, repeatedly press the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again. [Correction to start - Help and Support].

'The procedure entry point not found CtfImmGetTMAEFlags in IMM32.dll dynamic link library.'
It happens when I'm going to play some games (example: League of legends when a game starts and it comes out of the login screen) and close programs, I can not update windows or recover from a certain date they will fail each time.
Hello
Follow the steps in the below link and then try to install the games and check if the problem still persists.
Method 1: clean boot Mode
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the boot link to put the computer to normal startup mode.
Method 2: You can try to contact the manufacturer of the game for better assistance, because it is specific to the game.
Hope this information helps.

Original title: Entry Point not found error with a game
My game (Nancy Drew: trail of the Twister) has malfunctioned or something. It worked fine for a while, but now I get this error when I try to start the game (twister.exe point not found the procedure entry point LeaveCriINDX (not found in KERNEL32.dll dynamic link library) none of using the solutions of HERInteractive.) My OS is Vista. Help, please!
Hello
I would like to inform that the error, the entry point not found:This error could be related if there are some missing files to initialize the game. I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the game and check if you have the same problem.

Also check if the minimum requirement of games is the specification of your computer.
