A few questions on reset to factory settings

Hey!

When you reset your laptop to factory (HDD Recovery), the Windows settings get deleted too? And audio, webcam etc.?
I mean, when you have restarted the laptop, is it ready to use? Can just use you it as usual? Or you install the drivers and so on?

I appreciate the help.

Hello Elodie and welcome to the forum of Toshiba.
I'll try to provide answers:
> When you reset your laptop to factory (HDD Recovery), the Windows settings get deleted too?
In general everything will be erased. With other words, some partition will be formatted in a first time and OS (recovery image) will be installed.
> And audio webcam, etc.?
Yes, everything. The content of the whole score.
> I mean, when you have restarted the laptop, is it ready to use?
When the recovery image installation is complete after restarting the laptop, it will be ready for use.
> Can you just use it as usual?
Yes.
> Or you install the drivers and so on?
Original recovery image Toshiba contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, tools/utilities specific to Toshiba and a few additional software so everything will be installed.

If you have any other questions you are welcome. ;)

    Hello

I tried upgrading my installation of Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 ultimate. I ended up format the partition and now Windows will not load and the installation hangs right on 0%. I don't have a disc of recovery for this laptop, is it possible to access the recovery partition on this laptp to reset to factory settings or a restore CD I can order and it will work?

    The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X

    Hey Buddy,

If you have already formatted the Windows partition, you are not able to start the recovery of HARD drive more. Also there is no possibility to access the recovery files and start them, so the pre-installed operating system is necessary.

The only option you have is Toshiba recovery disc. Only with this drive, you can restore the original settings of the box but I m wondering why you have n t a. It s mentioned in the user manual you have to create yourself

In any case, just order a disc here and be happy ;)

  • Cannot find the airport and cannot reset to factory settings

I have a 2 TB Time Capsule airport who unfortunately through a handful of the network changes, somewhere along the lines, I pressed "forget the device" and now for the life of me, I can't connect to it.

I'm unable to reset to factory settings, because I have about 1 GB of data and Time Machine backups on it.  Is it possible can recover and make it visible again so I can continue with my backups, without reset it completely?

Reset time Capsule, regardless of the type of reset you, affects all data stored on the internal hard drive of the TC.

  • no internet connection after resetting to factory settings

I have a laptop HP HPG71-449WM.  He has screwed up and wouldn't let me not restore to an earlier point at all so I reset to factory settings.  I don't have a return to the top because there was nothing that I wanted to save.  I can't connect to the internet now, wireless or by connecting an ethernet cable.   It gets an error while going through the initial report put in place where you set your password for the pc, time, etc.  When he arrived at the place to connect to the internet, it gets an error, freezing.  I turn it off and turn it on and it just loads as a normal computer, but impossible to connect to the internet no matter what.  I have reset the settings to factory on 5 times in the last 3 days and get the same problem each time.  I have no recovery disk or whatever it is.

  • Satellite Pro P200-1JV - how to reset to factory settings?

    Hello

I'm trying to reset my Satellite Pro P200-1JV to factory settings. I tried pressing reset and turn on, also tried pressing F8 and turn on and no system recovery doesn't happen as I was told that it should.

I put everything in place of discs with it and it's a Vista operating system.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

    Hi alanmanley,

Why you press the zero key to restore factory settings?
You can restore the factory settings if you go into the advanced Windows (F8) boot menu and select Repair my computer. Then will begin the recovery of HARD drive and reinstall Windows.

In addition, this option is available on OS preinstalled Toshiba and the recovery disc, that you create yourself as mentioned in the user manual.

  • Satellite A200-195 - you try to reset to factory settings

    Hello

After you have backed up all my data, I'm trying to reset my Toshiba Satellite A200-195 back to factory settings, to try to get some of the performance. Internet search has launched a number of ways to do this, but none do not work for me.

I tried now button 0/F1/F8 when switching on the PC until I get the beeps. But then, the only options I get are safe mode, safe mode with networking or start Windows normally.

I pressed the F8 key the time Toshiba screen upwards and got through a number of options, including the repair of the system. However, after selecting that, when the dialog box appears, these are all the options I get

    1 Startup Repair tool
    2 system restore
    3 Windows complete PC Restore
    4 Windows Memory Diagnostic tool
    Command prompt 5
6 restore the full Windows operating system.

There is nothing obviously suggests a Toshiba Assistant or mentions the factory settings. I tried the last option, which brings up a dialog box telling me that if the pre-installed files are corrput I can use the recovery disks and just the OK option. After clicking on OK nothing happens. I tried several times, but each time waived forward and pressed the stop down or restart buttons.

I also tried the first 3 options, but none of them gave me an option to reset the default or the other.

I have no recovery disks and I saw searched the help files for the system backup, can't find anyway to create them - only standard data file backups.

I don't have any disks that came with the laptop.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Can anyone suggest anything, that I have not tried yet please? PLEASE?

    Thank you. :)

Obviously the HDD recovery partition isn t available on the HARD disk and, therefore, you will not be able to perform HARD drive recovery procedure.

To retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings, recovery disk should be used.
If you n t own this disc, try to order the support on this page:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

But in case the laptop is too old, you will not be able to order this support more.

UH well, I was in the middle of my laptop computer cut to half way through the reset to the factory settings...
So I turned it back on, but everything was gone.

He kept saying to insert the disc. So I did, but all the Toshiba programs are removed.

Could you please post your laptop model and what OS you are using?
Generally, all the drivers are placed on the European driver Toshiba page. So, you can download the WLan and BT as well.

  • Reset to factory settings

Hello. I recently bought a MacBook Pro. Had the misfortune to install a program which is at the origin of the questions and need to get rid of him. I am completely new to the OS X El Capitan and'd like some tips for how to get rid of this program, preferably by restoring the system to the factory settings. I actually tried yesterday evening to reinstall Mac OS X by pressing command + R during startup, but was always the wrong program. I have nothing on the computer I need backup or whatever it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Follow the instructions here, one to erase drive and install OS X.

How to reinstall OS X on your Mac - Apple Support

You must hold down Command + Option + R at startup that will lead to the restoration of the Internet. Use Ethernet instead of Wifi, it is faster.

  • Satellite A300 - how to reset to factory settings?

    Hello everyone,

first of all, sorry for my English, it is not my native language and I do a lot of mistakes, I hope you can understand me correctly.

My problem is that I have a toshiba Satellite A300 provided with Windows Vista op time after I have bought I installed windows 7 on it (you know, so new that I have to try). Now, my problem is I want to reset my phone. I have the recovery disks, and the folder HDDRecovery D: but my computer cannot read.

What can I do? I tried a lot of things... How can I reboot my computer to factory settings?

    Hope you can help me,

    Best regards.

    Hi biguri,.

After the installation of another operating system, you will need to use the Toshiba Recovery disk to restore to factory settings. That means Vista preloaded with all the drivers and tools you get back if you boot from the recovery disc and follow the on-screen instructions.

But don't forget to make a backup of the important files like photos, videos, etc., because the recovery disk will wipe the entire HARD disk.

You have problems with the recovery disk?

  • [N900 / WNDR4500]-cannot use / access some sites web/services even after reset to factory settings

    Hello

I just moved into a new home; my old cable modem was damaged during the move, and so I had to replace it (same manufacturer, newer model). The problem started then with messeging (Messenger of the LINE) service not working at all when the wifi - direct connection has worked very well for the PC and the phone worked when using mobile data. Until now, it appeared that this app has been affected that I could still do other things very well (for example surf the web, email checked).

I tried the firmware update and later reset the router to the factory settings, or even delete the app and reinstalled it, but they've made the app worked part of the time only. However, I noticed recently that I couldn't access certain Web sites via wifi, too. Again, problem has disappeared during the use not wifi.

No idea on how to solve this problem is highly appreciated.

    Thank you

    b.

go to settings... internet configuration... Select use PC MAC address... restart the modem and router
