A key recovery wipe ALL partitions

I have lenovo Y50 with a version of key recovery 8.1.0.2619, I my personal data spread over several drives with the c disk, containing the BONES and that's what it contains above all! So would be running the cloth with a turn-key solution clean the rest of my disk partitions too, or he would just format the operating system containing the C: drive?

Are you sure, absolutely sure of right?

Now, we must check what I said earlier. Will just some experimenting yourself you? This will be an opportunity to familiarize themselves with OKR.

Here's an argument that it is not wipe: If the scores are wiped by OKR will not rerun OKR via the NOVO button.

    After booting from the recovery CD, you should get 2 options;
    -Standard mode
    -Expert mode

Using the Standard mode, the whole HARD disk will be formatted. Also al partitions will be erased.

In expert mode, you may have chosen was the XP must be installed.

Hello, my computer is a 200 X with 1 HARD drive.

I had a system restore CD, and I would like to know if system restore only my C: or restore my C: + my D:?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

The Toshiba Recovery disk contains an image of the factory settings, which means that your entire HARD disk will be wiped. All the files on the partition of the first and the second will be deleted and if you back up files, for example on an external HARD drive.

After using the recovery disk Toshiba has the same state that you have started the laptop, the first time. :)

  • Lenovo U350, Win7 broke down, a key recovery does not work

I hope someone can help me.

    Description:

I have a Lenovo U350 with OS Win 7. I did not burn any recovery DVDs/CDs through a Key Recovery program since I bought my laptop. It was my mistake. I should have done it. I does not change the size of the partitions on my laptop. The scores of all the hard drive are partitions by default (C, D).

    Problem:

Last Friday my laptop crashed. I saw the blue screen (System error, I presume) until my laptop went into reboot. After that, I can't start my OS correctly. During the restart, the system hangs. Sometimes it crashes before the Veriface, sometimes manages to go through it and starts the Win 7, but in ~ 30 seconds restart again.

So, I can't start the recovery key under Windows as my system restarts as soon as I click the OKR program with the mouse. I tried to press the OKR (next to POWER) when my phone is turned off. But instead of start OKR interface Windows 7 just starts and everything repeats.

    Question:

What can cause this problem? Virus? System files are corrupted somehow? OKR files are overwritten? Material accident?

    What are the solutions?

I would be very grateful for any help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Randy.

  • Recovery disk restore partitions as factory settings?

My laptop is about 2 to 3 years of age and has 3 partitions, C, D and E as factory put in place.
I found that the system (C) partition is now almost full and cannot be extended because the D drive is in the way to rehabilitate the part of drive E.

Does anyone know if the hot spare will restore the partitions in the form of factory settings or y at - it an option to change the score put in place during installation?

    Hey Buddy

Yes. As far as I know the Toshiba Recovery disk format the whole HARD drive and retrieves the laptop back to factory settings.
This means that the whole HARD disk would have first formatted and all partitions would be deleted. Then the recovery disk creates the partitions again and installs the operating system and other things like tools and drivers.

    See you soon

  • HDD Recovery format all the drive HARD Equium P200-178

    Hello

I need to reinstall Vista on my laptop.
The question is: is the recovery of a partition option erases all partitions of data?
Both with bones and the other with the data?

I've been trying to find out on the forum.
Some say the recovery cd to clean all partitions, but drive HARD recovery has the option to format only partition C

    Hello

Well, as far as I know the HARD drive recovery procedure is the same procedure as the use of the Recovery DVD.
In both cases the laptop will be set to factory settings which means that you will get the same data on the HARD drive as on the first day of purchase
So it need to format the HARD drive and should restore again uses the image of Toshiba.

But if you want to know if the second partition will be deleted and then created again and then store a small file on the second partition and then perform the procedure of HARD drive recovery.

After installing the OS has finished go to the second partition and check if the same file that is always present on the second partition.

  • A key recovery does not!

Hi all, as indicated on the title, my one key recovery does not work.

Whenever I press the recovery button (the host files charges) and when it finishes, it hangs there.

The first time I tried this it worked fine.

The last thing I did was to put some files in my D drive (where all driver files are) and I tried to delete the files, I put and try again, but it did not work.

    Any help guys?

  • A key recovery

My G560 was puschased in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a friend last March 2012 and was brought here in the Philippines and has been given to me. the COA sticker says it has Windows 7 Home Basic OS, but when I opened it, there installed Win 7 Ultimate. now, I get a windows not genuine notification.

I also found out that my hard drive partitions 3, C, D, E.

I would go back to my machine to its supposed original OS, but I do not have the original CD installation that's why I think using the one key recovery.

This will be my OS to its original state? will it affect my important files (located in the partition the drive E) should I choose the one key recovery?

Right click on computer, select manage. Look in disk management.
Must have 4 partitions if the stock oem partitions. But actuallyon mine only two were assigned drive letters.

Windows 7, some versions have an illiterate boot partition. The Ultimate Ultimate version uses a boot partition. Think OEM are extra partition for future updates and also Windows will use and install winPE that under certain circumstances.

If I were you, I forge very definitely do a repair on the left side of the window Back Up DVD system & restore control panels. You will know you which must one day next.

I would also like to use the same backup and restore to make an image file system windows partition you have now a remote drive or DVD 3 or more.

I could then try to start the program OneKey and make me a OneKey Recovery DVD to repair... Start with it... see if he found by chance an image of the original installation. However, chances are his party...

Or try to update next month for win8 at the start of the special $ 40... I think... But to reading posts here, it cancels your Lenovo warranty updated to what whether your version of windows.

  • Errors in recovery of all-in-one 23-b320 0xe0ef001e and 0 x 80070057 to install new

I'm really stuck.  I just got a refurbished all-in-one 23-b320 with Windows 8 pre loaded.  Everything worked fine for the first 4 hours.  I applied all the patches from MS and then started the Windows 8.1 update.  23% completed, the hung process.  After 16 hours of no progress, I turned off the desktop computer.  Enter into recovery mode via the Bios, I expected to be able to recover.  The recovery process has failed.

My next attempt was to have the recovery discs, I've created since a new b320-23 who was also preloaded with Windows 8, but I had updated to Windows 8. 1. the recovery discs are the Windows 8 of his recovery partition.  I used the Recovery Manager to create the floppy disks and Windows has reported that they have been created successfully and verified.  Yes, I have 2 identical models of the all-in-one - 2 parents and it's easier when they both the same pc.  I thought I could use one for the other difficulty.

The problem is the recovery discs to throw an error halfway recovery - 0xe0ef001e.

After looking through the forums, I started with a 8.1 Windows installation disc, entered mode to 'Fix the computer', troubleshooting, command-line and use own diskpart and convert a GPT.  Then I went back on the discs of recovery and got the same error.

Then I thought that maybe I could install Windows 8.1 charges against this record since I've only wiped out all partitions with the clean command and had put in place a new set of partitions.  Once installed, then perhaps the recovery disks would work.  Well, I can get the Windows 8.1 installation to work either.  When I select the partition to install on, he pointed out that "were leaving the disk selected for installation are not in the recommended order.  I proceed and error - 0 x 80070057.

I deleted the partitions with diskpart own and then tried to allow installation to.  Same result.  When the windows setup program creates the partitions, it throws the same error on the order of the partition and the same error when I say "still".

I've seen mention of other partitioning tools but have not been able to use all (like kill disk) because they seem to start in DOS and for some reason I can't seem the all-in-one to start in as simple as back soming.  The only things I was able to boot from (with Secure Boot off) are:

    (1) the recovery disks

    (2) disk Windows Installer of 8.1

    (3) Ubuntu 14.04

All of these are TPG bootable images.  BIOS do not find anything that is not gpt, so anything with the old MBR does not appear in the list of bootable devices.  I tried several different disks from older systems, and none are recognized.

Note: I discover that I had not enabled support legacy of boot in the bios to have activated it year am now able to boot DOS.  I'll try some of the other tools suggested as a drive to kill.

I ran through all the diagnostics BIOS and no error found in one of these tests.

Any suggestions or is this time now to ship to HP for repair or replace?

Resolved by reinstalling the HDD to the SATA cable and replace the SATA cable to the motherboard.  The cable for the connection to the motherboard was a little loose in the socket.  Once this has been done and the computer back together, the recovery disks works beautifully and restored the image.
