A loud buzz lasts

My son dropped his laptop (about 1 foot from ground) now there hard strong hum instead of the audio video/music. The screen is fine, no other damage - just the audio-only someone knows if this can be corrected (how-cost)

It's a HP Envy Beats Audio 1 year

Hello, @jjkav

Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that the laptop was dropped, a problem with the sound. I'll try to help you.

It should be repairable, how much it might cost I'm not srue. To do this, you need to redesign support or a service center.

The first thing you need to do is open the Notepad and search for damages, if you are uncomfortable with this, I can give you the documents that will help you. I'll need the model and product numbers to look it up.

If uncomfortable with do it yourself, then restore support would be preferable.

Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-phone-assist.html

  • Loud buzzing/stuttering sound during videos

After a recent update Windows 8 on my Inspiron 5323, there was a loud buzzing/stuttering noise that occurs randomly in all of video media. The video will be late for a brief second when the noise occurs. Anyone know what could be causing the noise or how get rid of?

My Dell XPS experienced intermittent strong and soft snoring, video stuttering and depixellation and I had tried a lot of solutions without result. I used FreeDownloadManager and recorder of VLC.

I read in previous Post "Video stutters and Audo hums" on a possible solution. So, I uninstalled Help Support from Dell and SupportAssist PROBLEM SOLVED!

My wife is happy to get rid of this nuisance, I did spend hours of research and try to solve it.

  • Loud buzzing noise VN7 - 791-G [+ audio clip]

For the last two weeks that I had trouble with a very loud hum staticky coming from the lower left corner of my Aspire VN7 - 791 G (left of the Tablet under the keyboard) when the machine is under load (working in game engines and play games, mainly). I've had this laptop for a little over a year and never had this problem before. Side software, everything seems fine, I have not noticed any FPS fall or freezes / crashes or something of the sort. I get an occasional blue screen, but those who are very rare after all drivers and updates to BIOS (power of State failure or something like that).

The hum seems louder depending on the workload. If I close all active programs, the noise tends to remain constant for couple minutes, then he calms down gradually until it is completely silent.

I tried to record the sound, and when I listen to the helmet that looks a lot like the real thing (but not too strong): http://vocaroo.com/i/s1cZvjzHgHs5.

Also: I have not tried to replicate this again, but earlier I was running a game on the battery from the battery by accident. The machine has been completely silent. After awhile, I got a message saying battery was weak, so I plugged in the charger and... instantly, heard the buzz with a maximum volume (not a gradual increase as usual). Could it have something to do with the power save settings perhaps? Or more likely as a material thing?

    Thank you

    So, I have good news...

In a last effort attempt, I decided to open my laptop and remove the front left speaker, because I was almost certain that it is the noise. I unplugged the mobo, unscrewed it and removed from the chassis. I tried all day and I can confirm that the hum is GONE now!

It's kinda something hacky that I have now only 3 speakers instead of 4, but I'm just happy that I am able to reuse this thing in the workplace. CE marking as resolved.

  • Satellite Pro L850 - very loud buzzing/drilling noise before crashing

Someone at - he had this? Machine only a few months. Use of any office. Happened about 3 times now.

All of a sudden made a very loud noise - more like a forest road than anything else - then crashes.

This sound is produced by cooling fan or HARD disk activity? Maybe the two of them?

Of course, it is not easy to say what the problem is here, but I assume that a background activity may be responsible for this.
Or have you noticed that some application you use ends by the failure of the system.

  • Pavilion DV6: Loud hum of the hard drive when burning CD

Recently, I noticed that my laptop makes a fairly loud "buzzing" or "vibrant" sound. I encountered this problem recently when I tried to burn an audio CD. I've read about this problem on other forums of which most, explain that the cause could be due to the type of disc. I have this problem when I read from a disk. This problem could lead to the type of disc that I use?

    Hello:

It has been my experience throughout my laptop and deskop PC DVD burners do the same racket when it burns CD / DVD, but not when it reads them as well.

I don't think it's something to worry about.

When burning a disc, a much more strain is placed on material that when reading a disc.

I use Memorex or Verbatim quality disc too, and readers always sound as you said.

One of the burners of my desktop PC is so loud, it begins to vibrate the case and I have to give him a rap on the side for the case of vibrate with the burner in the quiet.

  • My laptop HP G72 guard buzz!

    Hello

I left my laptop on all night, as I fell asleep watching a movie (wasn't the first time!), so when I woke up I turned it off for a few hours to cool. When I then turned it on, I found that the fan made his usual noise for a minute or two, then he switched to this really loud buzzing, sort of as if the fan is hitting against something (that I don't think it is, but it's just to describe the sound!). It happens now whenever I start my laptop

The tone of the hum changes every now and again, sometimes speeding up at other times more and harder. Sometimes the buzz disappears for about 5 minutes, and then comes back. I don't know what to do!

I need my laptop for my finals in the summer and don't think I can work with this constant buzz. What should I do?

    My laptop specs are:

    HP G72 laptop

    Product number: XF104EA #ABU

    Serial number: {Private Information Removed}

    BIOS: F.48 - 09/11/2011

    RAM: 4 GB

    Processor: intel i3

    HELP x

So, I finally took my laptop a local technician who told me that the fan was most likely folded, possibly using too much compressed air to clean (i.e. pressed for too long rather than short bursts). He charged me a RIP-OFF £50 to get the fan replaced and mounted, but I was desperate and now my laptop is quiet!

Thanks for all your guys help x

  • noisy PC during the preparation of the recovery disks

I got this Pavilion 500 series last week. I was invited to prepare recovery discs, I did. In seeking the anc copies the files from the PC emitted a loud buzzing (as strong as an electric razor) that vary in height intermittently. Did anyone had this occurrence?

It is normal for a CD/DVD burner back. In addition, the internal fans will be surge (increase in speed) during the process of intense burner.

  • Audio Hum on Satellite P750

I just bought (24 hours) a P750 with Harmon Kardon speakers. Great sound, except that every minute or so there's this loud buzzing, crackling, electronic that goes on top of the audio.
It seems to coincide with the little glitches in video as well. It happens with DVD, downloads of online video and TV, but not so much with CD playing function.

I tried different players and different DVD but the problem is the same. Is this a warranty issue or should I reload the drivers? It happens that the laptop is plugged in power or on battery, so it's not surging power.
If someone could help, it would be great!

    Hi Misha16,

I guess you always run to factory settings (Windows preinstalled with the original drivers) and if so, I have to say that t shouldn't happen on a new laptop. Usually, it takes work perfect so I return it and ask the seller a new.

I put t know where you live, but in my country there s no problem to replace a new device the first 14 days. So I do and ask for an another Satellite P750. :)

  • Can not adjust the volume of the music unless the piece is played

    Hey people,

I noticed that when you use Spotify and Pandora, by pressing the volume buttons on iPhone adjusts system volume if a song does not play. Once a song begins to play the volume buttons to adjust the volume of the music. If the volume came to be turned up really loud the last time that the application has been used, you start to play the song at full volume to lower. Any ideas if this can be fixed? It would be nice if the volume buttons would change the volume of the music whenever you are in the application at all, not once a song begins to play.

    Thank you

    Owen

    Hi osmithy,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that when you do not listen to music, and you set the volume on your iPhone, it adjusts the volume of the system as you say, but when music plays, the volume buttons to adjust volume of the song.

This is the expected behavior and works as expected. This information can be found in the following link.

When you are on the phone or listening to songs, movies or other media, the buttons on the side of the iPhone set the audio volume. Otherwise, the buttons control the volume of the ringer, alerts and other sound effects.

  • Problem with my sound system?

My speakers and headphones (the connection usb or 3.5 mm jack) make a gurgling noise really annoying every few minutes. Its a loud buzz that stops my audio (sound film, music, notifications) for a few seconds and then returns to normal.

I reset my computer to an earlier time, and that did not help. I have also installed and reinstalled many of the pilots but that did not prevent the issue.

Its a u310 ideapad and I had it for almost 2 years without problem, but I love this laptop and would really like to resolve the problem before it's even worse. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs > drivers Realtek uninstall it and maintain it.

  • Aspire V5 - 552G crashes, what's next?

Hi, I was wondering if you could guide me in what I should do next.

Recently, I decided to buy this laptop in August for College.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16834314119

At first when I arrived it was very good and really works well, however I have noticed that the laptop crashed often, most of the time when the charger is connected. It crashed few matter what powerplan, I had. This accident required a start difficult, and the screen freezes, no blue screen. There is no sound from the speakers, but have headphones and wired headphones allowed you to hear the sound. Other times I hear a loud buzzing before stopping.

I noticed something strange about the accident, I fell a lot whenever I had just started my computer, if I was passing through the web, playing games or doing homework. But put on standby and opening it again, the laptop computer never crashed. Although the time varies when it crashes, it could be a few minutes after the opening of the computer for a few hours.

At first, I thought maybe would it be an overheating issue, but I usually get 25 c idle, 40-50 ° C on browsers and 55-70 ° C (rarely exceeds 70 ° C) when playing games. It crashed few matter the temperature of your computer and what I was doing, browsing the web or simply move the cursor on my desk.

It seems that whenever I put the computer to sleep, AMD Turbo Core stops, limit my laptop 2.1 Ghz and arresting him freezes. So I guess Turbo Core was defective.

On a side note, alt tabbing to another application that is full screen, seems to sometimes crash my computer, impose a difficult start, I can listen to the music and sound on the headphones (not the computer speaker), but all I see is a black screen and fuzzy, like a television.

I am currently on Windows 8, not planning on upgrading to 8.1 again.

What should I do how can now or I fix this?

    Thank you.

    Hi Sokher02!

Sounds like your laptop has developed a hardware problem. As it is still under warranty, the best thing to do is to contact Acer support for your region, and they can arrange a repair.

  • ROKU2 XD - do I need a router wireless wifi - without the computer

I just bought the ROKU2 XD need WiFi. Has NO WiFi.  With 2 MACS, I prefer NOT to connect it to the floor to my LinkSYS WRT 54GS V7. MAC is wired. Not sure that the iMAC is wireless or wired this way.

ROKU Watch w black screen / loud buzzing, but seems to be working and necessary condition of a WiFi signal.

Do I need a new wifi wireless router? Go w / ROKU + old PANASONIC TV downstairs. No idea how it works.  I don't want to interfere with my old router upstairs. (The new iMAC could be wireless, not sure, but certainly no WiFi...)

Help!  I know just enough to get me in trouble. I have a few weeks to figure that this point or I will return the ROKU2 to QVC!  Please, if you can answer me, do it fast! Thank you very much!

    Candy

If you have a wireless router, it will work.  You have a WRT54GS which is a wireless router.  Then I'll hang it up.

  • short-dst 1 failid hard drive

Compaq presario cq56-129nr crashes in silent mode, or sometimes with a loud buzzing noise. A ran the recovery starting test and received the error code short dst hard drive 1 failid product 9fwk1h-5hn727-xd003 u683ua #aba

the pc is of course not under warranty, all ideas, can we try to fix rather then to replace the drive?

    Thank you

    Tom

    Hello

Error code 24 characters for short drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

    Kind regards
