a question of exe file

Hello

I just have a question. Is it possible to run the EXE files without installin LabView Run-Time Engine? I tried to run an EXE file on computers without LabView or LabView Run - Time Engine to install and I got an error (I have attached a picture).

It would be very useful that I could run an application without installing anything on other computers.

Thank you.

No, as indicated in error, you have the runtime installed.  I recommend to make an installer that will install your .exe, run the engine and all the other necessary components.   It's really not that hard.

    Hello

I have problems to open all my .exe files. happened after I installed security software. I already tried your suggestions about the site, but I can't seem to run 'command', in order to go further. I think that there are problems with my file associations, but I can't seem to restore.

Try to learn to ask questions. What you wrote makes no sense to anyone because...

1 "your suggestions"... what and whose suggestions? We need to know what suggestions you had already tried so that we find a new you haven't tried.

  • Application Builder Question: How to get several .exe files in one version?

I am trying to release a LV 2010 application composed of a high level VI (Main.vi), and a number of dynamically called live contacting one using functional global variables (and a few classic global variables).

One of the dynamic subVIs (Second.vi) can in fact be used independently of Main.vi (and often will). I wish it were available as a .exe, but I would like to be able to communicate with Main.exe if is started after Second.exe. Is - it somehow possible?

It seems to me that I must write two screws as independent applications (and release them as such, but in the same folder of the application) and find another way to enable the exchange of data between the two (which, I have no idea). Is there an easier way, I'm missing? The two screws as high level screws in the Build specification will do almost what I want, but not quite, since it in order to open the two screws little important if I want to run only the Main.vi or Second.vi only (and of course only show the single .exe file in the application folder).

You could do this by using the arguments passed to the exe.  This document gives an example "past of Arguments to a LabVIEW executable".  I just think, you can create shortcuts in the Application Builder, but you will need to generate them buy a post running installation tool.

  • How can I copy an .exe file of the winow downloads on my hard drive?

    the header is the question

"How can I copy an .exe file of the winow downloads on my hard drive?

If the file is always displayed in the Download Manager window, then you can use open folder on the shortcut menu. If this entry is grayed out then the file is no longer at this location to download. Possible causes are cleaning software or anti-virus that deleted the file.

  • Satellite L350-14F: cannot run with Win XP .exe files

    Hello world

I formatted my laptop because it was full of stuff I didn't need.

So I installed windows XP SP3 NL, and many who went.
When I installed the drivers it just does not execute the .exe file, also if I wanted to extract a zip that it wouldn't work.
I tried everything, deleting drivers and stuff like that, but nothing worked.

Thus, when nothing worked, I installed Windows Media Center 2005 and still the same problem occurs.
    Can someone help me please?

The only problem is that it won't install my drivers, I have no idea why.
I bought when Vista has been installed, changed SATA to compibility and then install windows xp.

    So now its not working,
    What to do. TYVM.

    Hello

To be honest it's a little hard to understand your question, but if you extract the files from the zip archive you must launch the .exe file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Or, what happens exactly, if you launch the exe file? You get an error message?

Alternative you can install the drivers in the device without exe file manager. It work?

  • How can I get the VISA resource menu dropdown to be filled in my stand-alone (exe file) application automatically?

    Hi all

Here's a simple question, if all goes well.

I am building an application (i.e. an exe file) in a simple program that VISA allows to read and write in a RS-232 com port. When I run it before you build the application, everything works correctly and resources VISA control, which is a drop-down, menu is automatically populated with the ports available com. When I run the application on a computer without LabVIEW installed nothing appears in this window. I made an installer which includes NI LabVIEW 8.5 engine, OR Measurement & Automation Explorer 4.3 and NOR-DAQmx 8.6.1. Is there anything else I need to include? All specific settings I should do when I build the exe file?

    I use LabVIEW 8.5.

    Thank you.

DAQmx is only for the DAQ cards of OR so I do not know why you have installed that. The driver for VISA applications is NI-VISA (surprise!)

Add the NI-VISA run-time driver to your Installer.

I have a LV exe file I want to run on different computers in our lab test at different times. I know one way to do is to download the runtime engine and instrument drivers I need. My question is can I somehow package the file exe, engine performance and drivers so that they could easily be loaded on any PC with windows 7.

    Thank you.

In the project window, click with the right button on "Peculiarities of building" and select new > Installer.

  • Replacement installers and exe files...

OK, so I started working with distributions and had a question... say I create an executable file and the program installation, but once I have start running it I find that I have a little problem... None of which would require an extensive rewrite, but maybe I want to maintain a constant or two or change the size of font here and there... and rebuild my exe file.    Now, I have to build a whole new installation program or can I take my new exe file and drop it on the target machine, replacing the first exe file?

    Thank you!

    C

For testing purposes, you can usually just replace your executable file.  But you want to rebuild your installer for the official version.

Original title: could not open the file.

I received by e-mail a file which I can not open... so I downloaded the Microsoft compatibility pack. He asks me to double click the File Format Converter.exe file on my hard disk to start the Setup program.  I'm not savvy and don't know where to find it!  Your help will be admired.  BF

Hello, I downloaded myself today and when I read your question, I went looking for him.

The only place where I found it was prefetch.

However, I was able to view the file after downloading.

When I download I always save it to the desktop, then the scanner and then double-click it to install. If you haven't noticed where it was installed, check your temp folder.

Or download it again and save it to the desktop.

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot open exe. files without pop up asking what program to use to open the file

My PC has been infected! I have Windows XP. When I try to open any exe. file, I get a pop-up window asking me what program to open the file with. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem myself?

    Hello
This problem occurs when your .exe file associations are broken. This is usually caused by malicious software that changes the default file associations in Windows. Follow these instructions to resolve this problem:
Then try following the steps in this virus/malware removal guide: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide
It contains instructions which will remove most malware infections. If you have any questions, just ask me. I hope this helps you.

  • How to obtain the bcupdate2.exe file? __

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

If you get a message stating that the file NTLDR is missing, it is unlikely that the bcupdate.exe file will solve the problem, but you can download it from my SkyDrive if you want.  I've never used it to fix anything and if you see this message, it's probably not your problem.

You should also start a new thread/question for your question - no one is going to look at this thread that is older than a year.  Start a new thread/question in order to get some attention.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:
    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, it cannot save the file with an extension (for example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys) then you will need to add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called rundll32 when the name of the file should really be called rundll32.exe (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work

You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

    Hi Reaper14,

    ·         The question is limited to this particular .exe file?

    ·         You can open other files very well?

If you are unable to open a .exe file, refer to the following article.
