On the other one I should get and why?

    I have my doubts about the "Routing" (data dependent routing DDR) using the FML32 buffer.

    There are two configuration files: 1) 2) dmconfig ubbconfig. The two configuration files contain the section "Routing".

    (1) in the ubbconfig:

    ROUTING Section-> parameter FIELD

    Question 1: Can I use any field, regardless of the field "number" assigned to this field? ('number of field' more 8191)

    (2) in the dmconfig

    DM_ROUTING Section-> parameter FIELD

    Question 2: For FML32, there has to be a less than equal to 8191 o field number, which is the reason?

    I'm sorry that you have some doubts about the DDR. It does not work with the FML32 buffer and maybe you met a documentation error? 8191 number field is limited a number of FML field limit, not an FML32 number limit field. Have you found somewhere in the documentation it says that, for FML32, the number of the field must be less than 8192?

    In the UBBCONFIG of ROUTING section and the sections of DMCONFIG DM_ROUTING, so you can use any valid domain FLM or FML32 name. Don't forget that Tuxedo uses tables of different area depending on whether the FLM or FML32 fields are referenced, and there are various environment variables that must be set up according to whether you use FLM or FML32.

    Is this what clarify questions of routing of DDR?

    Re "of all". Fix. The L3 switch will route traffic based on its routing table. By default, he knows all IP subnets, it is directly connected to, i.e. all subnets VLAN.     Re your conclusion: I recommend to keep four static routes to subnets existing on the L3 switch instead of put in a single subnet more great which includes a lot of addresses that are not connected here. Technically, this works if you only use working IP addresses. But you will see some loops if you send something to 192.168.55.50 or similar. The gateway router it will send to the L3 switch that will return to the catwalk. They should understand it's a loop, but still, I would not recommend this type of installation... Add routes for each of the L3 switch subnet...

    If you use Cisco Unity Connection, you can use the system lists to accomplish your question.  Basically, you say: 0 option to send a Manager to call "Operator called" or something else.  you attach a schedule to it and use the rules of transfer closed & STandard.  During the transfer of the normal working hours (hourly) to X and during the transfer closed at X.  Another way is to route the call to CUCM and using TOD routing in CUCM.  The easiest way is to use the unit.

  • SImple Question of routing on 6224

    This should be a simple problem of routing on 6224. Just trying to get a location route between vlan 40 and vlan 50. Ping is intermittent sometimes it goes through and sometimes it's 50% and sometimes it gives me inaccessible destination trying just ping in the nearby of the VLAN IP address. Here is the config, basically just out of the doc:

    Thank you I will check these things. I use laptops and Dell rack servers all. Not a lot of devices. Installation is very simple. And yes the firmware must be updated. I'll get on it. I just have to finish another project first.

  • SG300-28 questions - InterVLAN routing

    Hi all

    I am trying to switch SG300-28 place and do work for several days, with a very simple configuration, but this device is just to stuborn giving me headaches. I hope that you will tell me a solution to my problem.

    So I configured the VLAN on the switch, assigned to all ports, given IP addresses for VLANs, etc.. But I digress not test phase where I try to rattle of two stations of different VLANS.

    I have pictures of the attached current configuration. Stations are on ports 4 (VLAN4) and port 15 (VLAN3). First good 192.168.30.x a station address with the default gateway 192.168.30.1. Second station address of the 192.168.5.x and gateway 192.168.5.1. The two stations can ping the two gateways, but not eachother. Traffic within a VIRTUAL local network works fine, so routing is the most obvious problem.

    There is no active ACLs.

    Please see attached photos and give me something to try, because I spent three days to experiment without luck!

    One of the biggest mistakes I see relies on 'ping' to see if things work. Do not forget that the 'ping' sends a request to echo, that does not force the customer to send and echo response. Ensure that stations are configured to respond to pings or try to access a share, or a service configured on clients. Another thing to consider, that the client ports access ports and not General, this can be a problem, but it should be allowed, as is.

    On a side note, the current configuration you cannot access anything out in the cloud. If you need to access cloud do not forget to add a default route on the switch.

    There is a 7204VXR/NPE-G2 router, our client wishes to ensure the transparent flow of about three hundred vlan via the router, switch functionality as trunking switchport allowed vlan xxx, yyy, zzz. Given that the router is not broadcast a vlan and for the 72xx series, I have found no commuting port adapter, is it possible to meet the demand of customers without having to install additional standalone switch.

    However, I'm seriously worried about the amount of traffic that the customer is supposed to move around on the links:

    a NPE - G2 can handle 500 Mbps of traffic full suplex between two GE ports.

    And sharing 300 VLAN between two sites look as inappropriate.

    Be aware of this, L2TPv3 should be able to carry the frames of the 300 VLAN between two sites on an IP network, but traffic levels must be controlled in some way or the router the Wan link can be submerged

    If the customer wants to take over the 300 VLAN locally within a single site, it is a work of lan switch and I would use one (C4500 or better) with a link routed to the C7204 that act as router WAN

    L2TPv3 could support local switching but this has an impact on performance (traffic not called twice by the router)

  • Newbie question subnet routing - no VCenter

    I intend to install a simple ESXi managed via VSphere client host in a small network. I want the server to more than one host, which will be on a different subnet from the rest of the House. For example, my main subnet (internal network) is 10.0.1.x and my DMZ subnet is 10.0.2.x. I have no routing between them except for management purposes. There is a Watchguard firewall that routes between the two networks. Ideally, I want to be able to manage all servers in a VSphere client, but it would be possible to install a VSphere client separately on a workstation that is located in the 10.0.2.x subnet if necessary.

    I've never done this before, so I'm not sure how the virtual host should be configured. I guess it would need to be multihomed, with a physical NETWORK adapter or team of NICs connected to each network. It would be sufficient, or do I need some kind of virtual router (double accommodation VM or something like that) in this situation? My idea would look like this:

    Your post, I assume you have a host with only 2 network cards. Assuming that you don't have any VLAN in place you can configure the host as follows.

    Create 2 vSwitches with romantically rising (each to the internal network) and the other to the DMZ network:

    vSwitch0: (internal) with 2 exchanges, portgroup1 for the management network and portgroup2 for virtual machines

    vSwitch1: (DMZ) 1 portgroup for VMS

    This configuration will work, but you will have no redundancy. If you need redundancy, you need 4 cards (2 of each vSwitch) network or VLAN.

    Routing (if necessary) must be carried out by the Watchguard firewall.

    I'm new on this. Question: Left router is permanently connected?  Lights are always on. It should be. Cut router at any time? I realize that it can be simple questions for an experienced person, but not for a novice.  :-)

    routers are essentially designed to be turned on all the time. Make sure that the ventilation is good about the location of your router. Although it does not hurt to turn it off (to save energy may be), there are cases in which the router resets or loses settings when turned on.

  • Catalyst 6500 Inter-VLAN routing

    I have a Cisco 6500 switch and I have a question about routing inter - vlan and the command "IP ROUTING".  I use dial-up virtual interfaces (I.e. int vlan 2, int vlan 3, etc.), but I noticed that I don't have the IP ROUTING enabled on my switch but I can route properly between the VLANS.  I have even a little ports that I have configured with the command "no switchport" and I assigned an IP address to these ports.  On routed ports, there is another switch on the other side configured with an IP address and I am able to ping and route traffic to the other network.

    I did some research on this and all the documentation I am able to find talk of how you must enable IP ROUTING to route between the VLANS.  I guess that this should only be done if you go to the road to other not directly connected networks.

    For the 6500 Series, IP routing is enabled by default, that so all VLAN can communicate with each other.  You don't need to activate as you do for other switches (IE 3560, 3750, 3850, etc...)

  • Passive routes with OSPF on the PIX

    Hello

    Having just upgraded my PIX to software v8 finally hoping to participate in OSPF on the network.

    The PIX have all many DMZ I want to advertise on OSPF to remove a * much * of fragile static routes but of course I would * not * advertise or get OSPF of these demilitarized. I thought I could do these interfaces passive - or better still, question:

    router ospf 1
    passive-interface default

    And then exempt only the internal interface.

    However, (unlike IOS) it seems to be without notion of passive in the implementation of OSPF from the PIX - a place where I thought it would be very useful...

    How to distribute the these DMZ on OSPF without advertising OSPF in them?

    I had planned to use:

    redistributed connected subnets

    However, which redistributes things like the public interface of the Internet, I don't want to. In addition, even if there is a way to stop there including the public interface, it seems more prone to the error of the user than passive by default with one exception.

    Any ideas? If this is not the case, can I restrict the interfaces in connected subnets redrawn?

    Thank you, Yes... I was suggesting to remove network dmz under the OSPF process commands.  As you said, it used to really do what you want to do with the removal of the static since its disabling ospf for this network.

    Start-up eigrp would seem to be a lot of extra work just to eliminate the static if that's what it will be used for, but it would allow you to make the passive interface that would not accomplish snd/RRs eigrp on the specific interface.

    I just re-read your first message and I think I understand now what you're after - which goes back to your first survey of redistribution... you can redistribute static electricity and use a road map to control what roads you want to redistribute.  You can then remove the networks for the demilitarized zone under router ospf process.

    example:

    access-list ospfredist standard permit 10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0
    access-list ospfredist standard permit 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0

    route-map static-ospf
      match ip address ospfredist

    router ospf 10
      redistribute static subnets route-map static-ospf

    this should redistribute only the statics that you listed above.

  • Number of antennas router question?  (Several gadgets WiFi using 1 router)

    -My House is a 3 storey 5 bedrooms single family home.  There are 4 people living under his roof and each person has at least 3-4 items wireless who rely on our network domestic wi - fi.  Include wireless iPhone 2 of 6, 3 iPhone 5, 2 iMac (an older and a new one), 1 airbook, 1 MS Surface, 2 older laptops Apple (the old 1 "thick white), 2 iPads, Kindle 1-2, frame 1 photo wireless, 3 printers, wifi, 1 Sony PlayStation4 (via wifi) and much more.

    Our current router is a double (2.5 and 5) and we use them both, and we had recently a technician change the channels, so we are not in competition with the neighbors.  The router signal strength is strong in the home to most of the places.

    My question: with so many features, would be useful to have several routers with multiple antennas to accommodate this request, or made this same question?

    My current router has 3 visible external antennas.  I read that the Airport Extreme has 6 internal antennas.  I'm ready to go buy Airport Extreme, if 3 additional antennas can help, or if I can use two routers for a total of 9 antennas (if this is important).

    Our services to wide band is xfinity and we have one of their fastest options.  Not quite the 105, but about 80.

    Any suggestions?

    External antennas tend to be more effective than internal, but the actual number of antennas is easily overrated.

    Most of the antennas used on routers now are dual band... which means inside the plastic, they have sections for the two bands... If an antenna is really two.

    It would have been correct for the first 5 minutes after the technician left the House and then totally out of place. Channel of all the equipment that surrounds you change every day, every hour... maybe every 5 min. While I don't disagree with fixing channel... others would say that it should be left on auto. You gain nothing much at all.

    If the signal strength is good over a 3-storey house, you are incredibly lucky.

    You can't effectively add routers more unless you install ethernet to provide an infrastructure for data streams.

  • Watchdog question along with BACK Smurf attack on router and duplicate MAC hardware address

    Before we get into too much detail, you should know that my understanding of the internal processes of a MAC or any computer self-taught self and therefore flawed and elementary is at best.  Specifications for my MAC will be provided below my Epistle.   The bottom line is that I caught an employee a long time ago on my iMac while I'm out and I noticed that she was doing something with the watchdog.  I thought nothing of it at the time, but the watchdog of name stayed with me.  Since that time, over a year ago, there were several problems with why online banking and other fraud concerns.  If the 2 are linked, I have no way of knowing.  But my iMac is essentially useless at this point, there are countless accidents every day... but before you spend $3,000 on the new, I thought that it prudent to ask for assistance from several sources informed.  My console, I noticed several instances of the hardware MAC (DAD) duplicate addresses.  I'll give you the result below.  I have also connected to my router Xfinity and that this month there were 5 distinct "SMURF ATTACKS" or DOS attacks.  Yet once, I'll give you the result below.  And finally, by connecting to my computer in standard mode, watchdog daemon doesn't seem to exist. However, when in safe mode, there is, but he is unable to initialize.  I followed Davis Linc instructions (from a question someone asked about watchdog not booting not) and his bash script output will be provided below.  Any help would be appreciated I run my business from my iMac and say State it mildly, I'm tired of spending days trying to solve this problem.

    Be aware that, in my view, that my virtual RAM is low, although I can't find a definitive answer.  Support Apple says simply drag the hard drive and start over.  Maybe they have reason.  No matter, I know that I have provided too much information below, but I don't have the knowledge to know what is important and what is not germain to the issue.    Thank you in advance.

    The closure of blocking app which seems to be Photos.   I would back up all your files here first - probably two external backups - then try a photo / iPhoto repair pass - stop pictures / iPhoto, then launch the application with the option key (also labeled alt on some keyboards) and command.   You should get a dialog box asking you if you really want to fix the library.   If this fails, I would export or copy everything I could and rebuild each photo / iPhoto or - given other issues here - the whole of the environment.

    Regarding the duplicate addresses, you have an airport or time Capsule?  And if you want and need to have Wi - Fi and network assets, wired (such as it is apparent that this is the case), you will need to configure Wi - Fi as a point of access (the ' bridge'), or configure separate subnets for traffic.   This can be automatic with some integrated network devices, but may require one manual configuration with others.   But if you have a Gigabit Ethernet connected and active cable, there is usually very little reason to have Wi - Fi connected and active.

    What did or didn't happen here with unauthorized access is not likely going to be addressed either through the forums, many different things can happen to a system that has been compromised or has suffered an attempt to compromise, unfortunately.

    In regards to your concerns around safety and handling, the system has been tampered with, Apple is correct.    Down your data to one or two probably of external storage devices and reinstall from verified distributions and do not migrate existing applications or tools.   Reinstall those distributions checked.    Also remove all products the security module, anti-virus or anti-malware tools can be added here - what that looks like Symantec is installed - according to the suppliers for this withdrawal.   Additional security tools can cause a variety of problems in the system.

    You'll want to have these external backups in all cases, as one of the causes of the reported behavior is a peripheral fault storage.  Systems to get slow and flaky when storage is a failure.   A Time Machine configured and running, or some other regular module backup tool, at least.

    What is happening outside your router's problem of Verizon and just the normal dreck that happens on the rest of the Internet.   This is not your problem, unless you opened Internet access paths to the inside through the router on your network, and so does the rest of the Internet your problem.

    I'd probably also avoid installing the software add-on from HP, if you print only and you don't need features beyond what is in the base OS X distribution.
