A satellite stops and restarts
Each step and then my computer turns off and then restarts, then will turn off back again and so on
The only option is to use the product recovery disc which solves the problem. Then a month or two later, it will never happen.
It s extremely frustrating, when it start to close and restart it stays on for a few seconds or so turns off again. This will happen again and again and again until I have use the product recovery disc.
All ideas were that it could be?
Don t think that it s overheating, as product recovery disk made it work again.
Help, please!
Hello
In my opinion, the case is clear: you install any program 3rd party that after installation of recovery causing it restarts.
So can you tell us what programs you install next to the recovery disk?
In the worst case there s a hardware problem and you need help from an authorized service provider. Technicians can repair the laptop for you.

Driver C75 - GPU satellite stops and restarts
Hello
I have a UK bought C75 - A - 13P.
It runs 8.1 Windows 64-bit and currently shows the Intel HD4600 version 10.18.10.3345 driver. It is currently higher than that indicated on the Toshiba Driver download page as 10.18.10.3308.
To add to this confusion, the site of Intel Downloadcentre shows that the 10.18.10.3621 version is available. The text below describes this as
"Installed the Iris® Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows * 7/8/8.1 version 64-bit 15.33.22.64.3621 (10.18.10.3621).I am reluctant to download and install this, as the specific Toshiba built the motherboard and custom graphics controller (if any) might have compatibility problems.
It is demonstrated by Speccy as:
"Manufacturer Intel.

Device ID 8086-0416
Revision 7
"Toshiba subprovider (1179).Can someone please offer advice, success or failure with the above driver Intel 3621 or report if they have had a similar problem with the occasional crash of graphics driver on a C75A?
Thank you, td47.
Hello
Graphic chip Intel HD is part of the Intel CPU.
The laptop was equipped with the Intel Core i5 - 4200M CPU processor and according to the page of the Ark from Intel, the Intel® Core i5 - 4200 M CPU supports the Intel HD Graphics 4600Usually it s recommended to use the graphics card driver that has been published on the page of the Toshiba driver, but the driver released by Intel seems to be most recent and updated to date.
In many cases such driver updates automatically with Windows updates.
Of course you can also manually edit such driver.I did it on my Toshiba laptop that supports graphics Intel HD 4000. I installed the card page Intel Intel graphics driver and my laptop going pretty good.
That is why I see not why you should not be able to install this driver also serious reasons. -

The second start is fine and I can work normally for hours.

Try to compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/). There is likely an inconsistency between what is really there and what think the database is where and who must reconcile the two. So beware of interference from antivirus software which can cause these issues (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).

What is the difference between the stop and restart?
What is the difference between the stop and restart? I feel that stopping closed all processes, completely erases RAM memory and clears the cache of the processor. I need to know if 1) this is a correct assumption and 2) which is better for daily maintenance of the system. Thank you in advance.
Hello Jeremy_1976,
Your support when the judgment is correct. Basically, it stops the process and completely turns off your computer. Reboot, however, temporarily your PC stops, then turn it on again. This happens usually when Windows updates are installed. After installation, the system is restarted (rebooted) so that any update has been successfully installed and works as it should. You can be a little mixed upward the reboot and the hibernation. Reboot is, as I have indicated previously, basically a reboot of your machine. Ultimately, your PC is on again after a reboot. However, hibernation, stores all data currently in memory in a special file, then the PC turns off. When you then turn on your PC, that is, coming out of hibernation, hibernation files is used to restore the status of the PC than when you initially put into hibernation. In other words all the programs you had open before will automatically open and be ready to use hibernation.
Hibernation or sleep for that matter is for short-term use. It is normal in Hibernate, or sleep if you want to be away from your PC for half an hour or so. If you leave more than I suggest you stop completely.
A point to remember about hibernation is that, if you use put into hibernation, you can't, once you get out after hibernation, install programs or updates. You have to stop and restart normally to do.
