A system restore will lose my Activation CS6

I lost two of my Raid0 arrays on commissioning today, and Win7 Startup Repair is not fixed, I'm looking at a system restore.  I'll probably have to go back before I installed the full version of CS6, and I wonder if I'll delete CS6 with restoring without decativating it.   My program files are all on my SSD and OK boot drive, and I have a complete backup for two raid0 arrays.

Not necessarily, but I don't know Photoshop material detection how sophisticated algorithms are.

The activation process I use in my own software is smart enough to know, in cooperation with the server, reactivation occurs on the same machine that has been activated on front.

    Hi FriendFriend,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    3. you receive an error message when running the system restore?

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to clean boot.

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If the previous step fails, then view the event logs to examine the system restore service errors.

    (a) click Start, click run, type eventvwr.msc/s in the Open box, and then press ENTER.

    (b) click on the category System .

    (c) click the Source tab to sort by name, and then look for "sr" or "srservice." Double-click each of these services and then evaluate the event description for any indication of the cause of the problem.

  • System Restore will turn off by itself.

It happened, but rarely and without apparent cause or sequelae. Larely, it was repetitive, once again no reason apparent, but apparently interconnected with the sudden disappearance of HP Quickplay, also by itself. My two scans, MSE and MBAM didn't pick up malware.

I have since restored to an even better version PS. My PC works fine without apparent probs.

I checked SR seconds ago and it is powered and creating RP of as usual.  But an individual isolation of SR is very troubling. How prevent it from happening again?

    Hi Coolnewyorker,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community. I understand that the system restore will automatically close on the windows vista computer.

I apologize for the inconvenience and no need to worry I'll be more than happy to help you.

    1. What antivirus application do you use on the computer?
    2. did you of recent changes to the computer before this problem?

Follow the steps and check if that helps.

    Method 1
Check the status of the shadow copy volume service. If it is, then try to restart the VSS service and check.
    (a) click Start, type services.msc in the start search.
    (b) search for the shadow copy Volume service.
    (c) make a right click on the Volume Shadow Copy service (VSS) and select Properties. Check if it is started.
    (d) if it is stopped, select start or restart. Make sure that the service is started and set as automatic.
    (e) click on apply and OK, if you make changes.

    Method 2
You can also try temporarily disabling computer security software and check if it makes a difference. If the system restore works fine after you turn off the anti-virus, you can contact the manufacturer of security software and check if you need to change the settings
    Disable the antivirus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3
Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After you have performed the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startup mode.

  • Two issues here, 1st system restore will not restore, also wireless do not detect all networks

Prob with system restore is everything goes well until the pc restarts, then get the restoration of of message without any changes have been made to your computer, this tent after several different restore points.

The prob with connection Wi - Fi (intel pro 2200 bg) is it doesn't find any networks, pilot verified also that his permit, any help there ain't a pc wizz so any advice appreciated

System Restore is not a panacea.  If this can help depends on what specific changes you want to cancel.

Which leads to the question: what is is happened just before things stopped working?

You do not mention if one of potential errors 13 to restore the system applied to you, or if none did, this error message you got when you tried to use the system restore.

    To do this:

Tried the keys that turn off wifi nothing not even the light that says its /running activated

say that the light associated with your wifi adapter is not turned on or off?  If Yes, I suppose that the light is 'off' now, correct?

Further, I guess that the wifi card is internal and you have a portable computer.  What is the brand and model of your computer?

Open the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK)
Click on the + sign next to "network adapters."
If there is an icon of warning/error next to an entry, double-click the entry and to report to what appears under the "Device status" and "Use of the device" (both on the general tab).

Go to network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter and select Properties
You will see a screen like this, and if so, is the on your box is checked the--> http://screenshots.modemhelp.net/screenshots/Windows_XP/Network_Connections/Wireless_Network_Connection/Properties/Wireless_Networks/Index.shtml

  • A system restore will cause me to loose changes

I edited a large number of my landscape photos in lightroom and I have computer problems.

The tech wants to do me a system restore, and I fear that I will lose all my changes.

Is there anyway to avoid losing changes when I re install lightroom?

    Other tips?

You must have a backup of the catalog file (its name ends with. LRCAT) and all your photos. Please check and make sure you have these backups.

Make a note of the location of ORIGIN (no backup) of each of them.

Then, after they re - install your operating system, copy the backups to the SAME EXACT LOCATION. Then, launch Lightroom normally.

  • System Restore will not restore complete

My computer started running verrrry slowly, so I ran to the restoration of the system. I ran it several times, both in and out of Safe Mode, with different restore points, but the food never ends. I've also run System File Checker, but the system restore does not always end. I have XP pro, and all high priority updates are installed. I would be grateful for any suggestion, but please keep things simple. I'm not savvy in computer science.

I made a new user who had no Favorites (of course), logged as a user and just copied user Jose Favorites to the new favorites of the user folder and they appear in IE and work very well.  Favorites are just text files.  There is no register of edition.

rpggamergal - is there a reason that does not work?

If your user original is/was really altered, apparently tidy to subsequently remove it and if you change your registry database to point to the folders and files in the "corrupt" user account, they would all stop working.  Changing the registry will work (I think), but it's almost like cheating to me.

If you change the registry, every time you make a new favorite, he will enter the profile that have been corrupted. Does make sense?   If it is really corrupt, I would completely RID.

I don't think you should have made a new user first return to page 1.  This is not the problem with your system restore.

How your system restore works now by the way?  This is your original problem.  Now you introduce new users, copy the profiles, change the registry, etc..  I've never had to do these sorts of things just fix SR.

I think that your hole is to widen my friend...

    Turn to page 8!

I have a 30 GB master and slave of 160 GB. 26/03/11 I copied a large file of 11 GB of the master to the slave because I received alerts that the disc was or almost. After you have copied from C to D, I deleted the C file and the missing file of the two drives. I tried to use the restore of the system without result. No matter what I do "Unsuccessful System Recovery" is the only message I get. Is it possible to recover a file that took me hours to compile it?

This looks like a self-inflicted wound / pilot error.

Deleting files in the Recycle Bin does not release disk space.  When you delete things in the trash, all you really do behind the scenes moves the items from one folder to another folder (the folder to the Recycle Bin).  They always take place until you clear items from the trash.

System Restore won't help you recover personal files anyway - this isn't what he does.  SR cares your personal files.

A backup will help recovery of personal files.

I think it's against the rules for people at Microsoft to suggest or sometimes even to read all the information of any URL Internet that does not begin with microsoft.com, where the previous warning about third party programs.

However, I think that to get off the beaten track (as they say).

This is a popular program of third party who sometimes helps to recover accidentally deleted files:

    http://www.Piriform.com/Recuva

It may be too late for your files, but I would also check the configuration of your trash if you have several volumes of hard drive from your symptoms question do not quite add up correctly.

Even if SR would not help in this case, your SR expected still works what is another potential problem to solve.

Now I'm folding stock and return things to the technical support engineers.
