< a > tag is creating error importing XML in InDesign CS5.5

Hi all

I do InDesign CS2 to InDesign CS5.5 update.

I have the indt file. It was designed by using the CS2 and now converted this file using InDesign CS5.5 CS5.5 indt.

But I am facing a problem while making the export as pdf in version CS5.5.

I'm following steps below:

(1) indt open the file.

2) menu file-> import XML... [This XML file contains < a href = "Web site link" > html tag]

(3) [no change-defalut option selected] XML import options

(4) ideally, it should merge XML data with the indt file but this is ask me for feedback and show me "search:" dialogue [below instant check]

Error.IDCS5.5.JPG

I did some research and know I get this dialog search because of the < a > tag XML. When I removed the < a > tag XML, then it gives no dialog and XML imported without any problems.

I get this XML system and I can't manually delete the < a > tag of xml.

However I was getting any error while making import XML in the CS2 version.

Please can someone help with this?

When there is "http://" in the anchor tag, it will jump to the top of this entry window manual indd/indt export to PDF and it will be failed in export by the action script.

I contacted Adobe software and it was bug. Adobe has confirmed that they would be realease the patch for even some time later, but I have not heard anything. I got the job by removing "http://" using java.

  • Import XML in InDesign Table

    I'm creating a template file in InDesign for a program of the event which is formatted in tables in InDesign.  The XML data is not in a table structure.  Is there anyway that I can import the XML data into a table in InDesign?

    In the program given there are several sessions per day; so, ideally, I would like to create a table for the 1st session and then import the xml file and have the data flow in this same format for the other days of sessions in the program, each session with the same tags.  A table would be a single session.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you - Ashley

    You're welcome, Ashley.

    You can opt for XML files to add. They will be placed in the order that they are attached. The good news is that if you choose to bind all XML files, any modification of these individual XML files, once updated in ID, will have reflected changes only to this XML file. In other words, ID knows where each XML file is in the file of ID. The links Panel will show all XML files that have been changed. As soon as it has changed the file is updated, then we still have to apply the table style that he will return to a flat table, despite the style

    For example, if... This XML file has the "incorrect" date

    ID shows the XML file being edited. Once updated, only the changes to the XML file are recorded in the ID file:

    Note that I didn't notice that this thread has been updated. I got to go get in the list of threads. If it appears I'm missing, feel free to PM me.

    Take care, Mike

  • Newlines when importing XML in Indesign

    I import XML files in an Indesign template. The content comes from an Access database via a Word macro that inserts the XML tags.

    Everything works well except line breaks (soft carriage returns). I tried vbLf and & #10;  but they both give a paragraph break, while < br / > does nothing. I could use a separate paragraph tag in Indesign without space before and after, but it's a pain for other reasons. Another way?

    Try & #x2028. This is defined in Unicode as 'Separator line.' reference

    It is a pity that InDesign offers us an easy way to determine these things. When I need to understand something like that, my first attempt to export InDesign isto and examine the result. But InDesign exports the forced line break as a UTF-8 character with a binary value of three bytes of E280A8 (rather than an entity reference). I'm still not quite clear how to get between E280A8 and 0 x 2028, but it should work...

  • How to create the plugin in Adobe InDesign CS5 using java?

    Hello

    I wand to create the new plugin in adobe Design CS5 using java. Is knowledge about this help please me on that...

    1. I don't think it's possible. Real plugins are written in C++. I bet you're confused plugins scripts-- these can be written in different languages, but I'm not sure that Java is among them.

    2. place in the InDesign SDK forum. We here are mostly powerless like the end user.

  • Table do not create lines when importing XML

    Hello

    I loaded my XMl file tags.  I have a text box on my indesign document. I have the tag in the tag of the 'Net.  I then drew a table in the text box with 2 rows and 3 columns.  All cells in the table are marked for 'Cell '.  I then right click on the root-> element-> ReportData tag now when I import it then everything is as should be.  That is to say 2 rows with relevant information populated in all of all cells.

    I hoped to do was to create a table and specify only one line with 3 columns.  When I import the XML file, I was hoping that the aid: trows = "2" would create the extra line.  But this isn't the case.  Instead remains 1 row, but there are 3 additional columns that appear (IE 6 cells in row 1).  Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please.

    Here is my XML

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"? >
    "< produitLogiciels xmlns:aid ="http://ns.adobe.com/AdobeInDesign/4.0/"xmlns:aid5 ="http://ns.adobe.com/AdobeInDesign/5.0/">" "
    < net >
    < aid: table = 'table' aid: trows = "2" aid: tcols = "3" >
    < aid5:cellstyle of cells = "Red banner" aid5:paragraphstyle = "Red banner" aid: pstyle = "Red banner" aid: table = 'cell' > NET returns of funds < / cell >
    < cell aid: table = 'cell' aid: ccolwidth = "130" > < / cell >
    < cell aid: table = 'cell' aid: ccolwidth = "130" > < / cell >

    < cell aid: table = 'cell' aid: ccolwidth = "130" > 56 < / cell >
    < cell aid: table = 'cell' aid: ccolwidth = "130" > 1 < / cell >
    < cell aid: table = 'cell' aid: ccolwidth = "130" > 42 < / cell >

    < /table >
    < / net >
    < / produitLogiciels >

    I think that your xml is working as you are wanting him for me. Take a look at the attached screenshot.

    Here's what I did (in CS4, BTW):

    1. Create a new document
    2. Rename the tag root of "ProduitLogiciels".
    3. Create a new tag named "NetFundReturns".
    4. Create a unique text on the page and tag with the tag "NetFundReturns".
    5. Import XML

    How is this different from what you were doing?

  • Cannot place and Indesign CS5 created swf save into a file, Indesign CS5?

    I hope someone can help me?  I created a SWF animated in Indesign CS5 using the amination and deadlines of the panels for use in an interactive PDF.  The SWF exported correctly and plays as expected in the browser.  However, when I go to select the swf file to place it in my Indesign file its greyed out and cannot be selected.

    I tried essentially to follow Rufus Deuchler method to integrate animations in a PDF file http://tv.adobe.com/watch/csinsider-design/indesign-creating-interactive-pdfs-with-page-tu rn - and - flash animations /. In the video's swf is available for selection when you use the command import and everything I found on the talks from web on the importation of the SWF in indesign files as a standard feature in CS5 and CS5.5.

    I tried to re export the swf file under different names and in different folders. Quit Indesign and restart; try to place the swf file in a completely different indesign file. through all the Indesign preferences to see if there is an option to "activate" swf import and I have even tried doing Rufus and export options exactly when you create the swf file.  Nothing has worked.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have screenshots and the swf file, I'm trying to import that I can email if anyone would facilitate my growing frustration.

    See you soon

    What OS?

    Other swf files work?

    You can drag-and-drop the SWF file in InDesign?

    Hello

    Looks like you might need to work on ensuring that FDMEE can talk to EPMA.

  • Problem with InDesign startup script does not import XML images

    I'm doing an XML import automatically from a startup script when a document is loaded. I managed to get most of the content to fill, but the images are ignored. Everything works, including images, when I do a manual 'Import XML' through the user interface or a manual script.

    Here's my manual script:

    var myDocument = app.activeDocument;
    var xmlFile = File('/c/Full/Path/To/data.xml');

    myDocument.importXML(xmlFile);

    But the goal is to do at startup. Here's my startup script:

    #targetengine "session"

    app.addEventListener('afterOpen', function(myEvent) {
       if (myEvent.target.constructor.name !== 'Document') {
       return;
       }

       var myDocument = myEvent.target;
       var xmlFile = File('/c/Full/Path/To/data.xml');

      myDocument.importXML(xmlFile);
    });

    Here is the XML tag for the image:

    <Image href="file:///C:/Full/Path/To/Image/02.png" />

    I wonder there is a problem with the 'afterOpen' event reminder, and it is the reason why it works manually using the same method, but not in the startup script.

    I solved it by avoiding the event quite listener:

    main();

    function main () {

        // create a path for a file object
        var curFile = File('/c/Path/To/file.indd);
        var xmlFile = File('/c/Path/To/data.xml');

        // close app if files don't exist
        if (!curFile.exists || !xmlFile.exists) {
            app.quit(SaveOptions.NO);
        }

        // open the file
        var curDoc = app.open(curFile);

        // import the xml
        curDoc.importXML(xmlFile);

        // create a new file object
        var pdfFile = new File(curFile.parent + '/' + curFile.name + '.pdf');

        // export to pdf
        curDoc.exportFile(ExportFormat.PDF_TYPE, pdfFile);

        // close app
        app.quit(SaveOptions.NO);

    }

  • Problem in creating several attributes XML with the same name of the attribute

    I am trying without success trying to create several attributes XML with the same name, as shown here in a Microsoft example configuration file:

    I'm calling the NewDocument GetRootElement functions and then "newelement" (appSetting), "newelement" (add)

    Then I call AddAttribute with add, key & Key0, then with add, value & 0.  This seems to work fine but when I try to add the second pair of key & Key1 and value attributes & 1 for item "Add" replaces ""and I find myself with"" only.

    I do something wrong or CVI is not able to create an XML of this type?

    Thank you

    Here's how you do it. I show not to keep things simple error checking.

    #include

    public static void CreateAddElement (mother of CVIXMLElement, const char * key, const char * value)
    {
    Add the CVIXMLElement;
    CVIXMLNewElement (parent, -1, 'Add', &add);)
    CVIXMLAddAttribute (add, "touch", key);
    CVIXMLAddAttribute (add, "value", value);
    CVIXMLDiscardElement (add);
    }

    void main (void)
    {
    CVIXMLElement root, and appSetting;
    Doc CVIXMLDocument.

    CVIXMLNewDocument ("configuration", &doc);)
    CVIXMLGetRootElement(doc, &root);)
    CVIXMLNewElement (root,-1, "appSetting", and appSetting);
    CreateAddElement (appSetting, "Key0", "0");
    CreateAddElement (appSetting, "Key1", "1");
    CreateAddElement (appSetting, "Key2", "2");
    CVIXMLDiscardElement (appSetting);
    CVIXMLDiscardElement (root);
    CVIXMLSaveDocument (doc, 1, "c:\\temp\\temp.xml");
    CVIXMLDiscardDocument (doc);
    }

  • Signatory of bar - Debug tokens, create fails, import does nothing

    In Eclipse, Preferences, BlackBerry, BlackBerry SDK tools, Bar signatory both create and import fail (in a slightly different way). It comes with the new tools of 1.3 released this week.

    Create has always been broken (for me both v1.2 and 1.3 tools), where it still shows the certificate of loading error: java.io.IOException: key topic, java.security.InvalidKeyException: invalid key CE.

    Advice on another forum entry, work-arround is to manually create a debugging token using the blackberry-debugtokenrequest tool.  This process with an import, worked under Tools v1.2 (at least once).  Now with a new device I created a new token of debugging with the new device ID and he gave a new file name. When I try to import into. I get the 'in progress' for about 5 seconds operation"and then the dialog box disappears and information has NOT been added to the list of tokens of Debug (so I can't download the token).

    During the process, I have only the new attached device (a Dev B device with active debugging).  I use Windows 7 x 64 SP1 with Eclipse SP2 Indigo and BlackBerry taken into 1.3.0.201209131728, Java 7 update 7.  I have all the latest update in Eclipse. Another note, during an attempt to create, it automatically detect the device and shows the right PIN device if you can see the device.

    Any ideas?

    Good idea. I couldn't find any 32-bit command-line tools, but I just copied the files in the 64-bit directory in a folder in the "Program files (x 86)" assumming they run in both modes. I managed, but I don't know if the "32-bit" operation makes no difference. I came across the same problem as before, but I understand an alternative that worked as follows. It is a different process as described in the documentation.

    Start with a token created debug created via the command line utility (blackberry-debugtokenrequest) for your specific device (in my case, a Dev Alpha B). Have the device connected via the USB port and within the parameters of the device, secuity, Mode of development.

    In the Eclipse-> BlackBerry preferences-> BlackBerry tools-> target.  The (default) usb item should appear in the list. Select it and then press the button of Details Token debug, and then select Import.  Point to the file debug token you already created.  Once completed, he must invite to download the token to the device, I did. Success at last!

  • Animate CC import &amp; xml

    I recently changed my CS4 to animate centuries previously, I imported xml data in to dynamic text fields using the following steps:

    var xmlData:XML = new XML();

    var theURL_ur:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("affiche.xml");

    var loader_ul:URLLoader = new URLLoader (theURL_ur);

    loader_ul.addEventListener ("complete", fileLoaded);

    function fileLoaded(e:Event):void

    {

    xmlData = XML (loader_ul.data);

    CAM_txt. Text = xmlData.CAM;

    CAL_txt. Text = xmlData.CAL;

    CPM_txt. Text = xmlData.CPM;

    CPL_txt. Text = xmlData.CPL;

    DAM_txt. Text = xmlData.Double_AM;

    DAL_txt. Text = xmlData.Double_AM_limite;

    DPM_txt. Text = xmlData.Double_PM;

    DPL_txt. Text = xmlData.Double_PM_limite;

    }

    I created a HTML5 canvas using the same script and the web page does not appear anything (a blank page). Can I import xml into an HTML5 canvas? If Yes, can someone help me with the coding?

    Thank you

  • Avoid duplicates when you import XMLs?

    There are a few versions, we have fixed the problem to get the duplicate items when you import new projects in another.  This was very helpful.

    However, I have noticed that when you import XMLs, first does not apply the same level of... discretion

    Is it possible to get XMLs for import without creating duplicate items?  I found a workaround by first import the XML file into a new project and then import this project first to my main project... but when I'm in a great documentary film which takes 3-4 minutes to open each time, it's not ideal.

    This is particularly important for people using the Pluraleyes because organize us images in first and then export to the EP, and then must bring with XMLs, and it would be great if we didn't have to do a bunch of media management manual to avoid duplicates in the project file.

    Thank you!

  • Do not understand what that means i/o Error: import the file

    I am building a website in dreamweaver cs5 with an XML doctype. When I tried to validate my css I got an error code that I do not understand. This is the error: IO error: import file:/Volumes/Macintosh%20HD/Users/schweideltyson/Desktop/CS%2080_final%20project/gallery .html: operation not permitted. Any suggestions? The only thing I can think is that I imported a text for my another Web site index page.
