  I managed to get this working. The documentation is very vague. The BEEP report gets the parameters 'default' and LOV based on the presentation and the column variable in OBIEE analysis he uses as a data set. You can't see these variables as parameters on the BEEP report presentation.

  If you need to use variables of presentation on OBIEE analysis, with a default value. Then create the report BEEP with this analysis, as the set of data. Don't create settings on the side TONE.   In addition to this Gabin says (initialization) to your first question, I assume that you have some idea of 'dynamic variable repository' a little bit.

  A dynamic variable repository is not as dynamic as you imagine. The main feature compared to a static is that the value of the variable comes from a SQL instead of being entered manually in the administration tool.

  SQL is a type of static query and not refresh when you call the variable and want to use it, but it is filled only once or maximum according to the calendar. For example, you use this query to store values as the period under review (and you have a query that retrieves the period max responsible for your data once per hour or something like that).

  Even a session variable will not really what you expect or at least not exactly how you think that it: initialize the variable when you call it works only once if you check the box "performance" you just to delay the execution of the query until you access it for the first time , but at this point, it is defined and it will not refresh until you do not close the session to begin a new.

  So for what you are trying to do, I suggest you find another way because it really does work.

• Integration of the OBIEE analysis in pages ADF

  I'm trying to integrate components OBIEE (analysis, dashboards etc.) in the pages of the ADF. I downloaded all required extensions.
  
  I created a BI presentation successfully services connection (I can see the analysis, dashboards etc.) and able to see on the palette resournce tab.
  
  I have created a project and tried to drag and drop an OBIEE analysis in my JSF page. But when I double click or drag and drop from the application resources tab, I see no drop ped analysis in the jsf page. I get the error in the logs below.

  Perform the impersonation is enabled for the SOAP BI Presentation Services connection, but there is no logged-on user
  
  I tried to create services presentation BI impersonated identity = True and even wrong. It has the same effect.

  Furthermore, when I right click on the component and choose Edit with in Oracle BI he opens OBIEE but asks me to enter username/password. Is that how it should behave?

• Title bar of JFrame is not the display of Arabic and Hebrew characters in Ubuntu 8.04

  Hi all
  While internationalizing my request in Arabic and Hebrew, I had a problem in these language characters display in the title bar of JFrame. These characters are not displayed in the title bar. I have the application around 30 + languages of internationalization, but the problem occurs only with these two languages very precisely on the Ubuntu OS only. I'm able to display these characters of the language on the buttons and labels throughout the application, but cannot be displayed on the title bar. I don't know where is the problem.

  Would it be something simple? I think that maybe the default font in Ubuntu 8.04 may have the Hebrew or Arabic characters.

  If this is it, the fix would be to install the Unicode font more complete a Ubuntu later and have your application to use. Another challenge would be to convince your three users of Ubuntu 8.04 to upgrade. ;)

  do not take into account. I just re-read your first post, and only the title bar does not display the characters. The only special thing about labels and vs of title bar buttons, is that the title bar is owned by the external GUI, Java not directly. Java has an interface with the GUI to set, title bar text that apparently needs some kind of special treatment for Arabic and Hebrew characters.

  I use Captivate 5 to develop a tool that guides people through an application process and indicates the probability of this request is successful or not.

  What I would like is to have a legend at the end that displays a summary list of the reasons for which the application could be delayed or declined.

  For example, one of the questions may be: have you ever traveled abroad?  The user then selects Yes or no.

  Now, I think the only option is to display all the legends, an action to show or hide the options that don't apply, based on the responses throughout the questionnaire.  Variables and advanced actions do not seem to be able to be used in the way that I was hoping - in other words, the variables are displayed only if certain options are selected (as a summary on a web form page).

• Strange (Chinese) characters displayed in the title bar

  From last 3-4 days I get some strange Chinese characters on top of the title bar or open tabs. They can not be selected by mouse and arrow sometimes (like enter key) is indicated on each tab.
  It's random, means that there is not any special condition when they appear.

  I have reset (all) Firefox, authorized cash, remove all the unknown, having no other than adobe pdf (not compatible) extension.

  I checked for anything installed within the last few days, but there is nothing installed despite updates windows and Firefox (34.0)

  The display of the selected playlist is ordered from the menu bar.  After selecting playlist, in the menu bar display-> View As-> [select desired display].  You probably view songs .

  NOTE: The sidebar in the latest version of iTunes is designed to be visible, as in the old iTunes (version 10 or earlier) where you could not hide it.  Although you can hide it from current iTunes, you must leave it visible and make it as short as possible.

  I use a lot of folders in my bookmarks list. I noticed that with AMD and Nvidia cards based on video, that if I use a folder in my bookmarks list that a lot, a lot of bookmarks, the bookmark list will cross the box title bar of Firefox and the taskbar in Windows 7 and down. When this happens, the title bar on Firefox versions 8-10 and the taskbar at the bottom let images from the list of bookmarks which do not disappear (at least that I have use F11 mode full screen to clear away from the image and bring it back to normal). If I use a Matrox video card, it doesn't. Why is this?
