If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Windows Vista does not start upward, with success since the closure complete

    Hello world

I actually had this problem for a long time, but I'm just now to a point where I'm ready to take a lead in fixing it.

I can't identify when it started, but Windows Vista does not start upward, with success of a full stop. He gets to the screen where, in general, the green bars will travel across the screen, but the green bars will not come. The screen looks dim and sits there, with the text of the copyright of Microsoft Corporation. So, after not having on the mound, I have to manually shut down the computer by holding down the power button. When I try to start again, told me to go through the Startup Repair tool. If I jump the repair, I just have to meet the same problem - a computer that will not go beyond the screen "green bar".

So, I do the Startup Repair, and told me what I do for the restoration of the system. Windows starts normally after the restoration.

Don't forget, this happens from a full stop. To remedy this, I just never completely shut down my computer. I left running and back just at the beginning of the day. The computer may start restart, it just may not start with a full stop.

Given the start of repair takes, literally, around 4 or 5 hours of full stops complete, accidental or power outages are a nightmare, I am obliged to wait 5 hours to get access to the computer. Fortunately, I have my laptop.

If someone has encountered this? I saw people talking about the loop of startup repair, but that's not the point, I have. I have yet to see any discussion of my specific problem.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Tayyab

When you decide to install a new version of Windows on an older computer, the first thing you need to do is to consult the manufacturer of the computer for the hardware drivers that are compatible with the new version of Windows.

The support material General laptop Dell Forum:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518.aspx

    Search for your Dell product.

Dell support service provides support for your Dell product:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/products

If Dell does not support the hardware on this model, you should try to find compatible drivers directly from the hardware manufacturers.

In Windows 7, press the Windows key + R to display the run dialog box.

Type msinfo32 in the Open box, and then click OK.

This will display information for the laptop, including all the material and information on the pilots.

  • Windows Vista does not work with modem wireless broadband

I saw no answer to this problem.  Can anyone help?

Windows Vista on my DELL laptop at home does not work with my new NETGEAR modem wireless broadband 3 G.  The modem appears in the list of networks, I just errors like: unable to connect, cannot diagnose,... Both devices work perfectly well together when connected by cable but not wireless.  Interestingly, my laptop work, also a DELL but runing Windows XP, works very well with the NETGEAR modem.

    Summary:
Vista / Netgear wired - work
Vista / Netgear wireless - does not work
XP / Netgear wireless - work

I went through the NETGEAR troubleshooting guide, doing everything from changing the types of security to manually enter the MAC address of the laptop.  I ran to the ground with the NETGEAR support engineers, and they said check with Microsoft.  I am convinced that it has something to do with Vista.  Any ideas?

  • Vista does not load a black screen with arrow

Windows Vista will load only a black screen with the white mouse arrow.  I can move the arrow but by pressing the keys (including ctrl-alt-del and ctrl-shift-esc) does nothing.  The only way to turn off here is to press and hold the power button.  Same thing in safe mode.

I tried the "Repair your computer" option (F8, or from the Windows DVD).  The Startup Repair option says that he finds no problem.  There is no restore point on the computer if it is not an option (it isn't my computer, the person who owns it is said that there should be a restore point, but if there is, the computer can't find it).

The Dell (F12--> Diagnostics) system diagnostics found no problem (I'm sure this isn't a hardware problem).

I tried to do a "repair installation" as in Windows XP, but this isn't an option in Vista.  The closest thing is an upgrade installation (boot from the Windows DVD, select install, upgrade).  But this option is grayed out, and he said to level I have to start the installation of Windows.  But of course Windows won't load.  Very smart Microsoft...

The only option left is to do a clean install.  All programs and files are saved if we have all the data.  It will be just to save a lot of time and hassle if I can avoid it, and I'm surprised that such a feature/option useful XP has disappeared from Vista.

Any ideas how I can fix this without having to do a clean install?  Thank you!

Still, the BIOS detects the hard drive and has the ability to boot from it, but it just that again. I tried the recovery disk windows, and when you click on the "Repair" option when it loaded usually shows a list of the operating systems installed and their hard drives. There is no listed on the Vista recovery cd. Manually, you can browse and find the partition from the OS than its sequel, and clearly see the windows directories. It all simply not start, nor let the recovery disk to fix it because the operating system is not detected. I plugged the hard drive on my pc with the same results. ==========================================
FWIW... Windows Movie Maker 2.6 is not an update... it's a disassembled
version for systems that will not run Vista Movie Maker 6.

The new version... would be Windows Live Movie Maker. It is quite
different from version 6. If you decide to try it... plan on creating
a new project because your version 6 files probably will not
    be compatible.

Uncheck the ones you don't want)

As for the error... I wonder if you may have a compatibility issue
    with your source files.

Several formats are apparently compatible with Movie Maker but the
    more reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Music - wma, wav, wmv

    Maker?
