A33 satellite will not start on the hard drive even after the installation of the new system
Hello, I need help, my A33 does not start on a hard drive. It is to see the drive hard in the bios and even by operating the drive when you go to install. But as soon as it will boot to the hard drive, it is just a black screen. It is very strange that you can see the hard drive in the bios and even with a diagnostics disk. I can see, scan it and check it by starting with a diagnostic disk, but when I start the computer, it doesn't do anything.
Help please!
Stand by. Your ad is so confused. When you read can you understand what you wrote?
BIOS recognizes the HARD drive correctly, no?
When you use bootable disk for the installation of the OS is properly recognized HDD?
You can install OS using the original recovery disc or by using the Microsoft installation disc?

L50-A-19N satellite will not start in the BIOS
Hello
I have a problem with my laptop.
I have installed 8.1 and fedora 20 windows.I was in fedora, when I decided to restart Windows.
Instead of grub, I saw message with the error and my notebook has stopped booting.I pressed the power button / stop, he died but when Im trying to start it again, I see the logo of Toshiba Leading Innovation and that's it.
It will not start any further.
I decided to get my system, but when I press F2 or F12, nothing happens.
I can't get into the BIOS!Please, help me to solve it.
Somehow, this seems really strange
I m wondering why you are unable to access the BIOSWhat you can try to do is, remove the laptop HARD drive and switch on and press F2.
From my point of view of the rare even if the isn't HARD drive connected, you should be able to access the BIOS.But for Pierre, I'm not very well your laptop problem is related to the faulty / corrupt Boot partition m
However, your comments would be greatly appreciated

L50 - B satellite will not start when the battery is completely discharged
Hello
My Toshiba L50 - B won't start when the battery is fully drained but connected to the power outlet.
I try to work most of the time on the battery to keep the battery in good shape, but when I forgot to turn off the battery drains and the system will not start when I plug in the adapter. The battery charge indicator is orange light as it should. Only when the battery is fully charged to 100%, it will run at startup and function normally after that. I tried to turn on the laptop several times during the charge cycle, but only when the charge indicator changes from yellow to white it starts. Tested for 2 bodies.
My old Toshiba always immediately turned on when I plugged the adapter even when the battery has been completely drained. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
Thanks for responding... I hope well :-)
Toshiba L50 - B
Windows 8.1
Any standard/original setting since I only acquired this laptop a month ago.The laptop should light up if the power adapter is plugged in and power the laptop corectly any if the battery is empty or during charge.
Please check the version of the BIOS that is available on your mobile phone and compare with the BIOS available on the page of the Toshiba UE driver
Maybe you need to update the BIOS, but to be honest, the history seems really odd to me and I m afraid that there could be some power supply electronic problemSo in the worst case, the laptop must be checked by authorized service provider.

C870-19(r) satellite does not start with the new SSD
Hello
I will update the Toshiba Satellite C870 19(r) with a Pro 840 Samsung SSD, but it does not start.
He said: not found system.
Post edited by: joch333n
None found system means that there is no system installed on the SSD drive...
What you trying to do?
You start from a disk in order to install the new system? In this case, you should disable startup secure in the BIOS.
I also recommend moving from UEFI mode MSC! -
Pavilion p6 - 2120t: Windows will not start with the new graphics card
Installed a Zotac GT 740 profile down in my desktop PC graphics card HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t and now the PC does not start.
HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t CTO desktop PC
Configuration:
Intel Pentium CPU [email protected]
4.0 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics Driver version Family: 8.15.10.2291 dated 27/01/2011
Motherboard: IPISB-CU (Carmel2) (1 open PCI Express 16 expansion slot pins)BIOS to Version 7.18
Running:
Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit w/service pack 1
Two monitors (VGA, 1 digital port 1)Before installing the new graphics card, I replaced the power supply original 300w with a 400w power supply.
For starters, I disabled the onboard graphics in Device Manager. Then, I opened the case and installed the GT-740 in the open PCI Express slot. I made sure that the card was fully engaged in the slot.
I plugged both monitors to their connections voted on the new map.
When I tried to boot the PC, the digital monitor displays the screen HP (the one that indicates which key support to achieve the start menu) and then frozen. No other entries of key or mouse have been accepted.
The PC then sounds 4 short beeps (about 10 seconds between each beep) and then a long beep before turning off the signal to the screen.
Then, I removed the new graphics card on the PC that starts then. I have reactivated the original graphics drivers and the PC then worked normally.
Tried the above process two more times with the same results.
I then went into the start menu to look at the BIOS. The menu of the BIOS shows two options:
> Sources of boot UEFI
Windows Boot Manager
> Sources of boot legacy
ATAP I CD/DVD player
SATA2
Hard drive
SATA0
Network controller (Realtek PXE B06 D00)
PC using UEFI Boot Manager Windows boots normally
I have not tried Legacy Boot Sources because I don't know which one to choose.
I went to the HP site and looked for an update to the newest BIOS, but updating them is a rev version 7.16 while my PC shows my BIOS to version 7.18
I know that others have had a similar problem but I have not seen a solution that works for my PC.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks for your time.Hello
Your PC isn't spec'd to run Windows 7 using the Windows Boot Manager. I expect to a UEFI-based graphics card likely to work on an HP PC that does not have a BIOS version 8.
The below listed OEM HP, graphics cards should work in your PC using a normal non - UEFI W7 and W8 installation.

650 satellite will not start, tried the usual suggestions without success
Satellite C650 willing daughter of a screen empty other than a flashing cursor in the top left when the laptop is turned on. I have read the various threads (not on this site) and tried to turn on/off and pressing F8 (also tried F9 and 0 zero) to try to do a system recovery but nothing else happen to beep for a few seconds and then back to the screen empty.
She has not the recovery disks. Can anyone help.
The laptop is under warranty until December 5, but I don't know if it would be covered for this problem?
A few days ago, I had the same problem. I tried everything but to no avail. I m not 100% sure, but I think it was a virus or something similar something killed hat.
In my case, only the clean OS install solved the problem. I ve used created recovery DVD and now I use factory again.
I recommend you order on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx's original toshiba recovery disc
Install the OS using this disk and everything will be OK again. -
C55-A-1MW satellite does not start with the new RAM inserted
Hey.
I hope to find someone who can help me... I bought ram memories and tried 4 different memories in my C55 A 1MW Satellite. But each card RAM I have insert makes the computer cannot start... It lights just to stop again.
Is there a compatibility issue or anything like that? I used 2 different aData Ram extensions cars, 1 1 and 4 GB 2 GB. the 4 GB card was 1333 mhz and was 2 GB 1600 mhz card. and I tried 2 corsair 4 GB 1600 mhz different cards.
Is this something that makes only able to expand RAM with Toshibas own memories or is the second cardslot for broken RAM memory?
As I see you use RAM modules with different specifications. Your problem is certainly of RAM compatibility and you must use the RAM modules with the same specifications.
According to specification of laptop there are 4 slots of memory and laptop can handle up to 32 GB of RAM.The compatible RAM modules are:
4 GB DDR3L-1600-PA5104U-1M4G
8 GB DDR3L-1600-PA5104U-1M8GOf course, you can use modules from other manufacturers, but please do not use some cheap products. I can recommend the use of Kingston memory modules.

L775-11N satellite will not start
Hello
I bought a L775 almost a year ago, but today it has stopped booting. It freezes at the screen of the BIOS (Toshiba logo).
No HDD LED activity, but all the others are fine.I think that the HARD drive is defective, as I traded with my portable Linux and it works.
However, (a Seagate Momentus XT ST95005620AS) HARD drive works on another computer and even on Linux with the Toshiba (on an external HARD drive enclosure). He has some bad sectors (INTELLIGENT default), but it works as it should.
I tried to clean the CMOS memory, wipe the HARD drive (using GParted), but nothing.
Any ideas?
I think it fails because of the CHIP, as the BIOS will not start on this HARD drive because of the errors, but I'm not sure. I tried to update the BIOS (I think that I've upgraded to 1.90 but there is a 2.0 release), but looks like it is a Windows software only.
Thanks for your replies
EDIT: I can boot the disk when it is inside a USB enclosure.
Hello
I don t think that this question is related to the failure of HARD drive.
Even if the HARD drive is faulty, the laptop must pass the POST (power self test) properly but it doesn t it freezes to the Toshiba start screen and this means that the POST has not been passedI think you should check the RAM. A faulty RAM can cause this kind of problem
Otherwise, it could be a serious problem with the motherboard. -
Laptop will not start without the battery attached
Hello
I have a Hp pavilion dv6700 series (dv6840el) and just, it will not start without the battery attached.
If I plug in the AC adapter, I get some computer activity (fan, noise of the dvd player and HD drive spins) for about 5 seconds, then shuts down.
Once I plug the battery (which is dying, who need a replacement), the laptop starts fine.
So my question is: what is a motherboard or a problem with the AC adapter?
The AC adapter looks ok, however. But if I am considering buying a spare battery, I assure you that I have a new adapter as well.
Thanks in advance.

My dell optiplex 740 will not start. The screen is black, once it displays the Dell logo. It does not say that the computer is in mode 'sleep'.
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- When was the last time it was working fine?
- You receive an error message?
Method 1
See the articles below and check if it helps.

After the Windows Logo appears or after you log in to Windows, a Windows XP computer cannot display the wallpaper, a black screen or a blue screen

Method 2
I suggest that you start the computer in the last good known Configuration mode and safe mode, post back with the result.

Method 3
If the computer can boot in any mode, then I suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it helps.
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

After finding that someone else had the same problem and I responded went to try the solution but then started to get the message that the file: \windows\system32\config\system is missing or corupted. Have tried to do where I could start up in safe mode and cannot. Tried to boot from the installation CD, but when I try to make the system recovery and choose the system to recover nothing happens. This isn't regarding the password. I have a Dimension 4500 XP sp3

Vista - computer will not start without the disc
loaded vista on my computer - now computer will not start without the disc
Went into my bios as suggested to check the boot order - and, Yes, I got HDD1 as first boot then CD - but then I remembered something I had seen earlier on my computer - it was on the list the HD which had my system like HDD0 files - so, I checked and there it was - listed option HDD0 so I changed HDD1 of HDD0 and was able to boot my computer without the disk system. Hope this helps someone else with the same prob.
