A50-109: can I change my laptop graphics card?

Hello
Can I change my graphic card(A50-109) of the laptop?

Please help me

Hello

I don't think that it is possible to change the graphics card in your laptop because it is specifically designed for your model rather than a generic type that is used in a desktop PC.

However, it should be possible to change the assignment of the RAM up to a maximum of 64 Mb. check in the view "Advanced" available from the control panel settings, or you can also check in your BIOS to a UMA value (16 MB, 32 MB and 64 MB should be supported).

  • can I update my laptop graphics card

Hi I was just wondering if it is possible for me to update my laptop computer graphics card, like the one I have is an integrated intel hd and it's simply not enough good for games, I want to play

The laptop I have is hp Pavilion g6 and the model number is LS294EA #ABU with an i3m70 core of intel clocked at 2.4 GHz because I don't want to buy a completely new laptop, but if it comes to that I might have to

    Hello

Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:

    • New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
    • Need new card system (can be),
    • Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
    • May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
    • Cost of the work.
    • Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion 500-130DE: HP Pavilion 500-130DE do not see the graphics card in windows and can not change the primary graphics card.

So I got a new (TG 640) graphics card for my pc. I tested it on another computer the day before. Worked well. I plugged my HP Pavilion 500-130DE and started. I changed my slot onboard DVI cable to the GT 640 and cable says no signal. While the pc was still on I switched the cable back to the integrated graphical location motherboard and got the windows login screen. So I thought that BIOS yet configured when the integrated graphics card (Intel HD 4600). I turned off the pc and booted to BIOS. But I've never seen a such limited BIOS before! Only thing you change is boot order. I saw a tab advanced but could not find the settings that I needed. In the only device manager devices that appears is the HD 4600. So I checked power is 300W should be sufficient for a map of 75W (only need the PCI for power). Someone knows how to fix this?

    Hello

After the PC starts to open the window RUN and enter: MSINFO32

If the BIOS on your PC version is version 8, and then review the information below.

HP Secure Boot Windows 8 themes Computer does not start after the installation of a video (Windows 8) card

A word of warning: the reality is that there is no guarantee that any particular graphics card will work in any particular PC, even if the graphics card works in other PC or even the same or similar model PCs. Know what the return policy is before you buy.

  • Can I get a better graphics card for my laptop?

Hi, my name is Mitchell and everything a few years ago, I had a laptop computer Hp Pavilion G6.  I use my laptop computer mainly for homework, but now ive started playing games on it and ive noticed that I can play games because the graphics card is not the best.  Instead of making a new pc game, I wanted to just update the graphics card on this subject?  I'm able to buy a graphics card for this and it installed?

    Hello

What is your G6? G6 is a series of many portable models and normally we cannot upgrade the video card on 99.5% of them. Not only G6, other series laptops from HP and other vendors as well. We can only upgrade video card on some REAL games and machines of class work station.

    Kind regards.

  • [p7-1240] How can I find out what graphics cards will work with my motherboard?

I recently went through the nightmare of trying to install a Gigabyte GTX 650 in my PC. After a few days of struggle and scouring the internet for answers, I discovered that it is not compatible with the BIOS on my motherboard, and HP does not update the BIOS. I returned the card and is now seeking a new, but I'm not sure what card works now, since my computer meet the requirements of system for the graphics card and it stil ldid does not work. Because the GPU manufacturers do not list the specifications of the BIOS under system requirements, how can I know if a graphics card will work with my system?

My computer is a p7-1240 with a 520W PSU upgrade and approximeately 11 "of space to install the card.

    Thexn, welcome to the forum.

The problem is a lot of video cards latest require the computer to have a complete UEFI BIOS.  HP began using one in mid-October 2012.  Before that date, the BIOS is the legacy.  This is why the video card does not work with your computer.

I don't know what you would spend on a card, but MSI is a GTX 750ti which is a VBIOS hybrid.  It has a switch to change to inheritance or UEFI.  Is there a video link directly below the image of a card.  Paul of Newegg gives a complete description of the map.

I like the best EVGA cards.  Their Support gave me a lot of information on their cards.  However, you will need to return to a GT 640 map to find one of their cards that does not require the UEFI BIOS.  They have a few updates for their BIOS' are which solves the problem, but we must call them for accurate maps.

  • Satellite Pro L10: where can I get a better graphics card

    Hey

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 and I was wondering if and where can I get a better graphics card for it?

    Thank you very much

Sorry Michael, but it has nothing to do because the graphics card can not be upgraded. Unfortunately the L10's small budget machine, and because of this, there is no better card inside.

    Good bye

  • Pavilion 15-n204TX: can I install an another graphics card on my laptop?

I currently have NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740 in my laptop (it's 2GB graphics card). Can I switch to 4 GB?

    If so, how?

    Thank you.

    Hi @_Nish_,.

Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I understand you're wondering if you can upgrade your NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 M for a 4GB card for your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 - n204TX. I am pleased to see that for you!

The graphics card is soldered directly on the motherboard, which means the card cannot be upgraded because it is a card dedicated to this laptop.

  • Re: Satellite A50 - how can I change the boot with BIOS password priority?

I have a Satellite A50. I need to restore to factory default to recover DVD, how do I boot from the DVD?

The default boot priority is the HARD drive and is more bootable has been formatted. My BIOS is password protected, how can I change the boot priority? After having inserted the password, its always boot from the HARD drive.

    Thank you

The boot priority, that you can change in the BIOS.
Go into the BIOS with ESC, enter your password and then you can change it.
But don t forget to save the changes.

That s all and then you can boot from the CD.

  • HP 15-n225TU: I can update my laptop graphics card?

    I have 2 questions.

1: I installed a new graphics card in my laptop?

Currently it is to have an integrated graphics processor (Intel HD 4400).

2: the game experience will improve if I upgrade the RAM?

    Thank you

Not a lot of good news.

1 n ° there is no 'card '. The video is a chip that is soldered to the motherboard. There is no physical means to remove it and put something in there. Theoretically there are mothers who would suit your laptop with slightly better graphics, but generally of such a motherboard swap is prohibitively expensive and it is not good value for money. The graphics are still not really good, just a little better.

    2. in function. If the system is muted memory then Yes, adding more memory will help games and everything. 8 GB is the sweet spot these days, and you have 4. Adding a second 4 GB module would allow the memory dual channel which is maybe 10-15% faster in memory operations.  But do not expect any major improvement. This will be a very subtle improvement in how the game is loading, but the pace of game will not really change.

  • Can I update my Y410 laptop graphics card (7757)? He already have Intel 965 express chipset...

I think if I can add a graphics card for my laptop and it is it will work properly?

I know, another technique of Y410 comes with the NVIDIA graphics card, and I wonder if it can be added to my laptop.

For your info, my laptop runs on Windows XP with Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo and 2 GB of RAM DDR2 (800 Mhz)

One last thing, what is the maximum RAM I can use in windows XP?

The GPU is not extensible. I had a Y410 at some point. I also wanted to know if I can move to a better GPU from Intel built-in one. Unfortunately, laptops with an integrated GPU Y410 is the port required for a discrete GPU. Unfortunately, this is the case with most laptops with integrated graphics.
