A60: Error Message blue screen after the recovery procedure

I have an A60 and in the course of the last 3 months, I ran the recovery of 10 to 15 times disc, windows installs fine, then a few days later the computer either freezes and gives a blue screen of death, when you try to turn it on, or it turns on and comes up with a message saying "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem" and then completely stops responding , or gives a similar message on the subject of what we call the Dr. Watson debugger core and similarly, unresponsive, now. After trying to format and analysis as well as on my knees and beg the computer please please please work, I'm out of ideas, the hard drive is perhaps the problem? is this a common fault of A60?

also in a completely different topic, where can I get a new 'c' key, mine keeps falling off the coast for some reason any.

Hello

The blue screen appears usually due to hardware malfunction or bad software.
If you, I suggest that there could be something wrong with the hardware. Of course there is also something wrong with the HARD drive. But to be 100% sure, you should contact Toshiba service. He can do some diagnostic tests.
You can also order the additional keys of the Toshiba service partner who is responsible for your country.

    I have a portable Satellite P20-771 / Pentium 4 3.40 GHz (800/HTT) / XP Home / 17' with nVidia Geo5700 driver.

As I had a few problems with the software, and I reinstalled everything using the supplied CD. Unfortunately the canned computer malfunction sent me blue screen errors, which are due (it comes when I sumbit error to Microsoft) to device drivers. I've updated everything (I hope) of the Toshiba page, but I'm not an expert and I'm worried that I missed something or that something has not been loaded in the right order or that the parameter is incorrect.

    Hello

I read in this forum that the Blues screen error message appears due to hardware malfunction or malfunction serious software.
Usually after installing the new OS since the portable Toshiba Recovery CD should work properly.
It is not easy to say why the blue screen appears on you laptop.
Maybe you can post the content of the error message in this forum, and maybe we will find a solution.

  • Satellite A100 system goes to a black screen after the recovery procedure

I tried running the recovery CD, I received on my cell phone. the process perfectly, (I have only one CD, I don't know if I need a second). At the end of the process, I have the option to insert the second CD, or jump.
Because I don't have that one CD I have support on ignore.

I tells me that the installation is complete and I can restart my system.
Then I removed the disk and I tried to reboot the system. The system goes to a black screen (on which he indicates that Microsoft load) and then crashes. That was the problem I was facing before recovery.

Basically, the recovery process has not worked. I don't think I did something very wrong, unless I need a second CD. What could be the problem?

    Help me please!

    Hello

The A100 is one of the new series of laptops and AFAIK the image of Toshiba was placed only on a CD (DVD) recovery.
I think that the message and the possibility to insert the second CDconfuses a little.

In my opinion the black screen and freeze has nothing to do with the recovery procedure and the new installation if Windows OS.
Due to the fact that this problem has occurred until you have installed the OS from the recovery CD, I assume that there must be something wrong with the hardware.

But it s very interesting to know if the same problem appears after the new installation of Windows from the original CD of Microsoft.

    It's worth a try.

  • Satellite A30: HDD size after the recovery procedure and Defrag

I have a Satellite A30 and just did a complete reinstall from the recovery of the product disks. My question relates to the amount of disk space hard should be resumed aftre reinstall it.
My hard drive is 4.95 full GB according to the procedure that is much higher than I expected.

Also, after reviewing the reader with Defragmenter I seem to have twice taken up training with Greens, unmovable files like Blue contiguous files. Unmovable files is there and if not how to I remove them?

It's where I guess that extra hard disk space is lost when it is lost?

    Thank you

    Hello

It's not easy to say exactly how much space should be taken after the recovery procedure.
I have so much that I know on the recovery CD, you will find the whole operating system Windows XP, driver Toshiba and utilities as well as additional software like OneNote, WinDVD, etc.
This additional software could take as much space on the disk outside the OS.

Blue not moveable files belong to the Windows operating system, and as a result, the files are placed together.

  • Satellite A100 loads the operating system correctly after the recovery procedure

    Hello

I'm in trouble... I used the recovery CD last week after my laptop developed problems. After the recovery procedure, when I turn on the pc, it loads directly in mode 'Owner' - the pilot of the internet has no charge, Norton AV, supplied with the pc does not load. Basically, it's a shadow of his former self.

And when I try and start the recovery process, that it doesn't... it does not read the disc.
I know that the recovery process did not work properly cos when I look in C: it shows that 60 GB of data is present on the hard disk, so the recovery is not cleaned the hard drive at all.

The only way I can describe it, is that the pc is in some sort of limbo. I can't access the original account I created.

The recovery disk is still okay because I "explored" the drive on another computer and it contains all the data.

    Help, please.

Looks a bit the problem I have with an A100 recovery disk. Mine formatted PC, unpack
a load of stuff and then freezes.
    See...

Like you, I can read the DVD in another PC. I wonder if there is a batch of duff of recovery DVD?

I think I'll try to install XP from a different installation disk. It'll be a bit of a pain in the neck
because it will not authenticate with MS, but at least he's going to prove whether or not the hardware of the laptop is duff.

I'll post back here when (if) I get anywhere.

  • 8530p blue screen after the awakening of the mode standby.

    Hello.

    Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit. (EDITED)

A user has a problem as his computer blue screens after he was awakened to "sleep" mode and the other thing is this problem is intermittent.

The error message I saw said that it was a KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR STOP error message is 0x0000007A and the second parameter was 0xC000009D.

According to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff559211 (v = vs. 85) .aspx this type of error indicates - "0xC000009D or STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED, indicates defective wiring or in bulk, termination or that the controller does not see the hard drive."

Hard disk, I ran the tests integrated in the BIOS, online tool check the system of HP for laptop PC (http://h20239.www2.hp.com/techcenter/HP_SystemCheck/hp_syscheck.htm) and same Seagates own Seatool because there is a Seagate drive in the machine. All these tests said nothing about a problem with the hard drive.

The online tool, said there is no update available on the BIOS drivers.

I even had the user to remove the hard drive and put it back to make sure he wasn't a wire loose, bad connection or something like that.

I phoned helpdesk of HP where I live and I told him this and he said that it is most likely a software problem.

So so I need help to find out what software might be behind this error.

I can't provide shocks either, given the error and blue screen also says "dump of physical memory failed with status 0xC0000010.".

So is it a known software that could be the cause of these problems?

EDIT: As pointed out by erico, I forgot the information about this operating system. That's why I added this information at the top of my first post.

Sorry I have not responded earlier.

It seems that the problem is solved since the user had no blue screens for over a week now.

The solution was quite simple: reinstall on a new hard drive, even if each test drive, I ran on the subject, said the old drive was ok. This includes BIOS integrated HP and test online, chkdsk in Windows 7 and Seagate tool own Seatool.

    Best regards

    Ljungan.

  • Blue screen after the installation of the Radeon HD 3450 video card driver

Original title: I get a blue screen on vista after installing the drivers for my radeon HD 3450 graphics card, windows 7 works very well

Hi all, hoping someone can direct me towards a solution...

Have a 2.8GHz Celeron RAM 2 GB machine, install videocard ATO Radeon HD 3450 AGP.

Equipped with Windows Vista 32-bit, install ATI driver from the ATI site, all installs OK but on reboot, we get BSOD.

HOWEVER, same machine, running Windows 7 Professional, all installs them and works fine! (it is the same driver ATI for Vista and 7).

We tried a new installation of Vista, even tried Vista business and Enterprise editions. Same results.

Latest system drivers and not BIOS updated avaialable. Vista installation had Enterprise with SP1 and enterprise with Service Pack 2 included.

I have google, downloaded ATI drivers, reloaded OS and drivers, and little matter what we try Vista causes BSOD and 7 works very well!

If we try the latest beta version of the ATI driver, he refuses to detect the card in Vista, everything works fine in Win 7.

    Any suggestions? Please? !!

I don't have a windows cd only toshiba dvd that should put my laptop back to factory settings.

Can aynone help me before I have sound toshiba?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It's not easy to say why it happens. Usually, the Toshiba Recovery CD should work properly and after any recovery procedure, the laptop should run without any problems.
You suggested that you ordered this CD from recovery of the ASP.
Do you have the right recovery CD? Check the description of CD.

The other possibility is that the device has a hardware failure. In this case, you must contact the service of Toshiba. Sorry, but that's all I can suggest.

Hello everyone! My name is Melanie and I want to apologize for my English: I m french! I have big problems on my laptop, I will explain:

I had to install windows yesteday and I used the partition recovery, all worked but the last seetings, my computer fixed: blue screen. I have it reboot and I can log in on windows, now Toshiba software run at the end of the installation: install wireless and bluetouth BUT this software always get it fixed my computer or my screen is frozen, or screen of blus.

Then, I removed it from the startep of the software list and tried to install the drivers I found on the Toshiba site but for the wireless, I run the software add anything, and for the bluetooth it says error 2753: setupdiu.exe is not marked for installation.

So I m really disappointed, could you have some tips to help me please? I thought reinstall windows, but I can't reach the recovery: whose touch is?

I m looking forward getting help.

    My best,

    Mel.

    Hey,.

I think that something goes wrong when installing recovery and thus you get a blue screen and can t install the WLAN software. The best option would be to run the recovery process.

But why you can't reach t recovery more? I mean you can use HARD drive recovery as often as you like and you can start if you enter Windows Advanced Boot menu (press F8 before Windows starts) and choose fix my computer. Select Toshiba HDD recovery, then follow the instructions on the screen. Windows will be reinstalled with all drivers and tools.

    Check this box!

    Hi DP - K,.

Thank you for all the helpful tips.  This weekend when I saw my McAFee scan/security reports, even if the McAfee Security Center shows that viruses and spyware works, he did not run a weekly full scan on my laptop since the end of January.  I don't know if he tried to scan and then breaks down, or it will not start.  When I tried to run a manual scan, windows shut down and I got a blue screen error message after about 5 hours of scanning - 63% digital.  When I ran the HP System Diagnostics report, it showed that my Security Center has not recorded an antivirus product.  "The Security Center cannot identify a current antivirus application.  There is no product protection antivirus installed or it is not recognized. "When I ran the HP reliability and history of problem report, it showed that my error messages started on 01/02/11, which is what I remembered.  I was able to restore my laptop to 23/01/11 when I had no problems and then, I uninstalled McAfee security and re-installed software.  I manually ran a full scan and it took 5 hours to complete, it has completed and reported no problems.  I look today and so far, no problem.  If the problem happens again, I will try the suggestion of Avast below.   Thanks again for all your great suggestions.

The laptop came loaded with XP, but that the recovery Application is running, it says it is loading Windows 98. Could the original recovery disc was loaded with the wrong operating system?

    Hey,.

    > I restart the process of recovery only with the same results.
You can install Windows using a normal Microsoft Windows disk?
So, you can check if the problem is related to the computer laptop or recovery disk itself.

    > it says that it is loading Windows 98
Don t worry not about this message. As far as I know it has something to do with the software that allows you to copy the recovery image on your HARD drive. Recovery disk still contains Windows XP ;)
