  I'm not aware of any option settings to remove the emergency SOS cursor in the menu that appears on pressing them and holding the button.

  My laboratory equipment is from the same manufacturer but different generations of hw. I have only an Essentials Plus license, so I can't use CVS. Now, I try to limit the CPUfeatures exposed on the most recent host to allow of vMotion. I ' v read up on this topic and follow the instructions in the KB documents.

  That's what I came up with after the start of the CPUID.iso:

  host1, older Xeon E5620 "Westmere-EP".

  host2, Xeon E5-2650 new "Sandy Bridge-EP".

  So I understand that I would need to use a CPUmask "- 0 -" to disable the feature represented by bit 14 ("xTPR' - support to disable task priority messages) as you can see from the attached screenshot. But who hasn't toured. The same compatibility error message came when I tried to vMotion, virtual machine host2 to host1 with this CPUmask.

  A I mix? I'm still a little confused that the vCenter error message contains a bitmask of totally different than suggest the docs KB...

  Or did I break something else? Because the classic viclient loses communication to the ESXi host or completely blocks when I try to remove the CPUmask using the user interface! Had to modify the vmx with vi in a ssh session to remove the CPUmask manually...

  You cannot disable the work plans that they are an integral part of the program, but you don't need to use either. I guess that when you tap new to create a new document, it creates a work plan. It is simply because Photoshop, remembers the last type of document he created. All you need to do is either select a different document as web or that of others, or type in the size of a document custom or even create a new preset, and then open the document. When you do once Photoshop when you press it again on that open the size of the document in the future until you change it.

  My concern is that, with the availability of the ERA of development environments, developers can inadvertently use a feature of the database which is undertaken, and we do not discover this until the new version or service pack is deployed on a client site which is only Standard Edition.  Is it possible to limit EE functionality on a per schema basis (for example the index bitmap, partitioning, views etc. materialized, and other features that a developer is likely to be implemented because they google and it "works" in our dev database), always giving me, s/n, the only EE features of RMAN, pack Tuning/Diagnostics and flashback?

  First of all, rman is NOT a characteristic "ee only.

  There is no way that I know to limit the features of a particular schema, and if there were, I can visualize how it probably wouldn't realize everything you are looking for.  Why not have two development platforms... FOR the beginning of the development and the second with itself for the final acceptance of pre-release tests?  And on the first, it would be almost trivial to create a daily job to check for use of 'prohibited' (EE) functions.

  I have a question regarding the management of the clock on linux hosts.  A lack of host systems Debian Etch/Lenny with workstation 6.5.  The guests are a system lenny with vmware tools installed.  We have several data streams continuously that we have databases, and we have to be able to go back and recreate the ingestion of the stream for training purposes.  The goal is to save the data of a day (for example 20 April 2008), start the virtual machine and have the date VM comments be on April 20, 2008, while the guest clock is always the current date.

  Yesterday, I pulled up a virtual machine so that the vmware tools application has been configured to not synchronize time and rolled back the clock on the virtual machine.  When I arrived at work this morning, the clocks have been sync'd up again.  So I would like to know how to disable the synchronization of the clock.

  I had this running a couple of years ago with Workstation 5.x, but I don't remember having to do something special with the configuration of time synchronization...

  There are several events that will always trigger synchronization time in a virtual machine (suspend, power on/off and much more).

  If you want to completely disable the time synchronization in the comments, open the configuration of the virtual machine (.vmx) file in a text editor and set the following options to zero:

  tools.syncTime = '0 '.

  Time.Synchronize.continue = '0 '.

  Time.Synchronize.Restore = '0 '.

  Time.Synchronize.Resume.Disk = '0 '.

  Time.Synchronize.Shrink = '0 '.

  Time.Synchronize.Tools.Startup = '0 '.

  Notes:

  • For some products (such as VMware Workstation), you may need to use 'FALSE' instead of '0 '.  For example:

  tools.syncTime = "FALSE".

  • In some cases, the virtual machine may need to be restarted.

  To configure your devices such as your watch is no longer produces noise or lights up the screen calls or messages:

  On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > do not disturb > disable mirror iPhone.

  When you display the time on your watch, drag upward on the screen to open the eyes > drag left / right for the look of settings > turn on do not disturb (click on the button with the Moon icon) > slide down once again to exit.
