If you did the update via attached USB on your PC (for example, no OTA), search your hard drive for a file with an extension of the RPI (*.ipd).   OK its wiping. Not sure how this has happened. I know that I put in the same PW. I have a PW I use all the time this kinda thing and was the same as that of the years. Because he made me put in half the time I'm just lost regarding why this has happened. Pourrait the last owner wiped as he thought, and somehow he kept his old PW? Well whatever my problem at the moment seems to be fixed and I think you a lot John.
