Absent express PCI into Dell 11 7140 pro 64 bit win 8.1 place

I just bought this promising device of the internet store and try to get to know it better.

When you run the Dell 'PC checkup' application with a "standard scan" I however received a cryptic message. He said that the test of the system is not succsessful due to "no PCI Express unit. I repeated the test after resoring the PC with files preserved and had the same result.

Is it a material default and what can I do about it?

I just got an update of software on the PC checkup app and now the problem seems to be resolved.

  • PXI-8360 (MXI-Express) PCI-8361 + Dell OptiPlex 9020 = "device cannot start." (Code 10) »

    Hello

I have a chassis PXI-1050, conencted to a Dell OptiPlex 9020 via a PXI-8360 and a PCI-8361 (identified as 199392B - 01L). It is Windows 7 64-bit. I can't start Windows very well, but MAX can't see all my PXI hardware. The Device Manager has also 2 inputs "PCI standard PCI to PCI bridge" with exclamation points.

I placed an old FireWire PCI card in the same dwelling and recognized PC. Thus, the slot went very well.

I transferred the PCI-8361 to an old PC that contains older drivers, and he acknowledged all my PXI hardware. For example, PXI gear works fine.

What could be the problem? Here's a screenshot of my software OR installed. I think I installed all the drivers I need. I checked NI Update Service; There is no update of Critcal, and only updates and Service Packs listed are 2013 LabVIEW and TestStand 2013.

    JKSH,

I look in that little bit more and think that I now know enough to be dangerous.

The BIOS allows the PCI Express native control mode in Windows.  PCIe natively do not like some of the architecture when you use the PCI card version, so it disables the bridges on the PXI card.  I can tell that your OS is PCIe natively because it lists one of the ports as "PCI standard PCI Express to PCI/PCI-X bridge" Device Manager like you posted.

I found that you can disable PCIe native mode, if you want to try it (but in general using the card PCIe is a better option).  Here are the steps:

-Open the start menu and type "cmd" in the search box; Right click on "cmd.exe" and run as administrator.

-In the command window, type "bcdedit/set pciexpress forcedisable.

    -Reboot.

I don't think it would break anything (it doesn't have on a system I've tried).  If you want to reverse the trend, the command is ' bcdedit/set pciexpress by default'

All solutions?  Can't find any help anywhere!

If it turns out that there is a problem with the BIOS tries to reference a non-existent thermal object.   Because the object is not really there, it will generate an error in the start Event Viewer.

The good news is that no problem of negative shock or feature it does not happen.

This will be fixed in BIOS A04, which is not due for a while.   There is not a solution in the short term at the moment.

  • Venue 11 7140 pro micro HDMI does not work after upgrade windows 10

Has anyone tried connect a HDMI microphone on their place of dell 11 7140 pro after windows 10 upgrade? Mine does not work after the upgrade, but the HDMI from the dock works.

I have thus display driver problems on 10 to win.

For me, the micro HDMI port works fine. I use an active adapter, so that could make a difference.

The HDMI on the dock works well, but only if I directly connect to an HDMI display. If I try to use a passive DVI adapter, then the external screen is not recognized. In addition, the DisplayPort on the wharf is also unnecessary, regardless of the type of cable or attached monitor.

I encounter this problem after performing a new installation of Win 10, using the brand Dell drivers and latest drivers Intel installed by Windows update.

It is certainly a driver problem Win 10 because everything works fine if I boot the Tablet under Linux using a USB key.

  • HP Pro 3000 MT - Win 8 - PCI simple Communications Controller driver?

    Hi all,

I tried all-manual and auto install only Win 8 LAN driver on the HP site. nothing works on Win 8 to solve the problem of this unknown device:

    "Pilot Communications simple controller PCI"

    Build 9200 Win 8 Pro 32-Bit

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Ralph

    Hi, Ralph:

More than likely the PC needs this driver...

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & cc = us & prodTypeId = 12454 & prodSeriesId = 3784892 & prodNameId = 3785037 & swEnvOID = 4059 & swLang = 13 & mode = 2 & taskId = 135 & swItem = vc-76868-1

If it does not automatically install, you may need to manually install the driver.

To do this click on the PCI of Comms Simple controller in Device Manager.  Then click on the Driver tab click Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp45813.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and I hope that the driver will be installed.

If this does not resolve the problem, please post the hardware ID of the device.

If you don't know where to find the hardware ID, please see the info on the link below.

    Hello

If you want to open an Outlook Express 64-bit to 32-bit, you will need to access your Windows command prompt.

    a. Click Start, and then select 'run '.

    b. Type "cmd" without the quotes, and press "enter."

    c. type without the quotes "C:\SysWoW64\cmd.exe" and press "Enter." Please note that the 'C' is the drive letter for the partition where your operating system is stored. Replace with other letters if your operating system is stored elsewhere.

    d. Type "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Outlook" without the quotes to open Outlook Express in 32-bit mode.

    e. now to configure Outlook Express to open in an Internet Explorer for 32-bit by following the above steps.

  • Keyboard problem trip 11 7140 Pro place

Hello. I have a 11 7140 pro place and have recently added travel keyboard.

I found a problem but I hope for more help with.

When I plug the tablet on the keyboard the power LED flashes white once then 4 short orange blinks then repeats indefinitely. Check the power meter app also shows battery 2 as long as it does not exist.

I can use the mouse and the keyboard, but nothing I do seems to help with the problem of flashing. When I connect the tablet to the AC charger with the connected keyboard the light just flashes orange. I tried also to separately load the keyboard using the adapter directly connected to its port micro-USB for about 6 hours and it made no difference.

Any help on what could be the problem and means flashing is appreciated.

    Darren.

OK, happy to say that I myself have resolved.

I consulted my Bios 7140 and saw that Bios has recognized the two current batteries, even if the Windows OS 10 doesn't have. He showed both the Tablet battery & battery (i.e. mobile keyboard battery) charge. under the 23W power adapter. If the Bios recognizes clearly a second battery.

I changed all the power & battery settings (for example of Adaptive load, power on the cover, etc.) that I could find to another value.

I rebooted the unit and re-entered Bios together as all the settings back to what they were originally.

Re-startup in Windows 10, now battery recognisees the two 7140 & the battery slice in the mobile keyboard. It's also fresh & uses two batteries.

    QED.

  • Reference Dell coming 8 Pro poor choice of taking Micro has USB with USB Micro-B plug. Already broken!

Got the Dell coming 8 Pro Tablet and there seems to be a great Windows Tablet. But I already broke one of the pins in the Micro USB connector. Funny, it is taking the Tablet is a rectangular Micro-A and the power cable plug is Micro-B (form no-brainer which allows you to plug in the right direction, if the plug is also Micro B). You can easily put the Micro-B plug in the Micro-A plug in the wrong way, and if force you it, it will break the pins inside. Just like I did today! I don't know who in the world made this choice! I have been using Android phones that are using the Micro-B Plug and a Micro-B plug correctly!

For my problem, I'll try to call Dell and see if they will replace the connector. :-(

Again device shipped, put the old device in box to send back for warranty. Tech couldn't confirm whether or not I would be charged. For me they will say it is the end user damaged and charge me for a new tablet.  If the end-user damaged, which I do not think that it is, I would rather just replace the USB jack, but do not have this option.  FYI - supervisor confirmed that Best Buy didn't was NOT a local tech - happy I rally call would have laughed if Geek squad guy

  • Dell 11 7140 place - do not start after reboot and shutdown without power connected

    Hi all

I had problems with my new Dell 11 7140 place since I bought it. If I reboot or shutdown the Tablet without the power cable plugged in, it crashes on start/stop to a black looking screen as he stopped (but it isn't). He will sit on this State forever or until the battery is completely discharged. If I press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds I can force a shutdown and turn off the tablet.

It's even worse if; After that I have to reboot the machine, it just sits there on the circle of rotation points and never goes anywhere. After a few tries, it will eventually in windows recovery, but he never manages to recover anything. The only way to get the Tablet working again is to reimage the dos operating system.

    I tried the following:

    1. Most recent of the installed BIOS A07
    2. All the latest pages Dell device drivers
    3. The latest version of Windows Update
    4. I tried to start in safe mode, but get points again spinning
    5. Tried to restore points that had once or twice the PC to start again, but the system is messed up. Built in Windows apps like photo viewer don't work anymore and I just to reimage.
    6. Tried running the Dell diagnostics, but which did not find anything wrong

The funny thing is that if I reboot or shutdown with the power connected, then everything is OK. I can do this all day with no problems. Standby and hibernation work OK with no power attached.

I have tried everything I can, but I'm at a stage where he's going to have to go back to Dell. Please can anyone give me any suggestions of what I can try, thank you.

To follow up on this post, the final solution to this issue was to return to the Dell Tablet. The motherboard has been replaced under warranty and since it was returned to me I have had no more problems.

  • Problem Dell come 8 Pro...

    Hi all

I have my new Dell coming 8 Pro with Windows 8.1 and I'm trying to connect it to my laptop Dell XPS (with Windows8) by USB and it did not recognize my new tablet, for she could someone help me with this?

    Thanks in advance

    Alejandro

    Hi castana,.

Directly connected via USB cable to a system, the coming Pro 8 with installed Windows 8.1 will not be detected as an external device. This feature is currently available with systems of conference with Android operating system installations.

If you want to share files and folders between these two systems, I recommend systems connected to a network. Please visit the Windows Home networking guide below, I hope this will help you in setting up a connection.

  • 11 7140 pro meeting place cannot activate audio maxx

    Hello

Got my 11 7140 pro with windows 10 place now. Really happy with the product so far, but I've noticed that I can't activate audio maxx on it. He came up with message 'Maxxaudio supports stereo output only. Please can someone help, because the current volume level is not enough at this point.

    Thank you

Your system is upgraded from 8.1, or you perform a clean install of win 10?

The reason why I ask is because I did a clean install, let Windows update capture some pilots he thinks he needs and MaxxAudio works very well.

Have you tried to uninstall the drivers, reboot and reinstall the drivers?

  • Update Windows and Dell coming 8 Pro windows store questions

    Hello

I recently bought a Dell coming 8 Pro 32 GB tablet.  Everything is working fine without any problems, but then just the other day I couldn't access is no longer the windows store.  It is just stuck to the green at the loading screen and never changes.  I tried wsrest.exe, but that did nothing.  In addition, and I don't know if they are related, I read that windows store problems can come from need to install windows updates.  So I tried to open the Windows updates, but I can't access any option, whenever I click on something it just freezes.  So I don't know what is happening!  If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I too have had the same problem but have managed to solve. I went in desktop and accessed the control panel. Click system and security, then under windows update click on ' check for updates '. Once done, it should tell you that you have updated and click on install. Let it do its thing and when it asks to restart so and once rebooted, and all updates installed the windows store should work again that how I got mine will once again. It will be useful.

1 does anyone know the part number for the micro SD card tray?

    2. does anyone know where I can get the part? (Dell tells me that ordering parts of them takes 6 weeks.)
