Abysmal performance - wired or wireless. New behavior
I have Comcast and pay 150 Mbps downstream. I checked on the modem and I'm getting ~ 100 Mbps down and ~ 12 Mbps upstream. I won't quibble with the performance at this point downstream.
Through the router, I have constant speed test to< 10mbps,="" both="" down="" and="" up.="" i="" know="" i="" had="" better="" performance="" in="" the="" past,="" and="" wonder="" what="" might="" have="" changed="" or="" gone="" awry.="" i="" even="" stripped="" it="" down="" to="" one="" device="" connected="" on="" ethernet,="" wireless="" turned="" off,="" so="" that="" there="" was="" no="" device="">
I used Comcast Speet test both in others, Comcast test is a server close so she is inclined to make Comcast look good, of course.
Recent changes - the PC have been pushed to 10 Windows, but even my iPhone and Android devices have sucking performance.
Also, I swapped in a brand new router WNR2000 V5's new version, nothing helps.
I have to think that this modem is able to improve the performance, although I do not record the results in preliminary tests. A kind of engineer, I know...
Any thoughts? Can I really just get a beefier router?

I received an email from NETGEAR community asking if these responses provided a solution. Well, not really. I had my router wouldn't provide 150Mbps, although I remember the speeds of nearly 100 Mbit/s in the past. The solution to my problem was to buy a new router - a N600-level D-Link product. Comparable NETGEAR routers have been much, much more expensive. Compare routers at SmallNetBuilder.com

Scanned with several "fix connection" or adware/spyware/malware programs (without help).
Have tried all the above several times, so please do not contact me to "try again". If your idea is not new, it won't help.
I am subject to the point that I believe that the network card is bad, even if it makes good.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP BEFORE THAT THIS CELL PHONE FELL INTO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN!

Want 5660 printer: 5660 envy may be wired and wireless?

I have a new Evny 5660 all-in-one printer and I was wondering if I can configure it to be wired and wireless. I inow have it configured to be wireless for two computers - it connects to my network and both computers can access. However, I was wondering if there was a way to add also a USB connection on my desktop so there is work computer to the printer when the wireless is not enabled. I don't always have the wireless and then I can not print from this computer, so it would be nice to have the opportunity to do both, if there is a way to do it.
When you first install the printer, he used huge amounts of my posting of monthly wireless data, so I disabled (I hope) all updates and order options of connection so that it uses ONLY the wireless for my LAN connection - not to go out on the internet and download things by himself.
For this reason I don't use it a lot or leave the wireless for more than the time required to print everything I print, and then I have to disable the wireless because I am not convinced that it it not again try to use a huge amount of data on its own. So the question on wireless and wired. I do not actually print a large part of my laptop and that you do not have the wireless on most of the time if she could also be connected via USB to my desktop computer.

You need a USB cable from the printer. Not just a USB cable standard. Like this.
You should just be able to run the installer and follow the prompts to connect the USB cable and it should work.

WRT310N V2 - unable to connect to the wired LAN, wireless is OK
I know that there are similar problems posted everywhere, but I can't seem to find the right solution. My WiFi works fine but cable did not see the router or on the internet. A few details:
I can communicate between hosts and wireless on the router.
The router assigns the IP both wired and wireless.
The wired connection works on the laptop and wireless works on it, too.
Wired does not work on the desktop, there is no wireless capability.
Cable cannot reach 196.168.1.1, wireless can.
I have updated the firmware of the router.
I installed the latest drivers for the NIC.
The office (cable) connects to the internet via cable modem, without going through the router.
I have no firewall active or other security features.
Same results with Firefox, IE, and Casimir FTP.
I turned off, turned on, rebooted, changed the ports and everything else I can think.

I had almost a month now, and whenever I anchor my laptop I have to pass the connection wireless switch off hard or using FN + F5 and extinguish this particular radio.
Is it possible to have the computer automatically choose the wired connection when it is available, otherwise use the wireless radio?
I use Windows 7 Prof 64 bit.

ThinkVantage Access Connections (AC) can be configured to do this. Change your location profile and change the order of the adapter associated with this place, for example, order first as Wired and Wireless second.
When I am connected Wired and I pull the Ethernet cable, AC will switch to using wireless automatically. When I put the Ethernet back in, it starts automatically by using the wired and wireless don't report limited or no connectivity (which means that the switch has occurred). You will have to perhaps set up wireless in AC power options, i.e. disable radio when not in use (I did not sentence again).
This could be similar to a docking station solution. Mine is without docking station; When I'm at the office and go to a meeting, I pull the wire and have continuity.
Ideally, the CA should provide a solution. But it may take some fiddling.

ACS 4.2 Wired and wireless group mapping

User1 connects to the switch, it belongs to the Group AD Domain_user and are mapped to ACS Group1 wich send the radius attribute to change the VLAN, this part works fine.
My problem is when the same user connects with its wifi card... He is still part of the domain_user and get still mapped to group1 on acs but now, RADIUS values are bad for the wireless.
Wired production vlan = 20
Prod wireless vlan = 120
What I want to do, it is something like:
ADGroupX Connect_type plus ACS Group1
ADGroupX + Connect_type2 = ACS group2
I tried to use the connection profile but the group mapping are not performed at this level. Ditto for NAR, my user must be able to log user wired or wireless and get the right vlan not get restricted by the NAR.
Another way would be to set up a username/password wireless on the internal database and add it to the ACS group good but which involve password management and not all client 802 support auth password (without user intervention)

Hi... this scenario is exactly what network access profiles are designed to address. Essentially, NAP to create a complete configuration based on network service.
So default ACS is a unique system of NAP (well I guess that 2 If you include RADIUS, and GANYMEDE) where any network service all RADIUS users would assume to use a single device type. NAP allows you to configure a service, the authentication, the mappings of groups and permissions Protocol.
The first part of the PAN you have to differentiate requests for authentication for each network service. This could be as easy to use the ip address of the AAA Client or NDG. If this is not possible, you can start looking at the attributes in the RADIUS request to find the attribute values that are unique to the switch or wlan.
Assuming you have managed to do is a matter of implementation of authenticattion and authorization policies-, but the main thing is that you will be able to send any returns RADIUS attributes to the device for the same user.
The user interface can take a little usual, then read the docs online and stick to it!

Since the upgrade to FF43, the address bar behaves differently. When I type a letter, URL that contains this letter. FF42 the first result would be any url, I visited the most, that contains this letter in its url. Now in FF43, it's always a url that starts with the letter I typed. Often, these are not the same. I now constantly, click on the wrong entry because I'm so used to everything fast click on the first person by habit.
If the url of a site starts with the letter I typed and is also the site that I visit most, it now serves as the results! For example, if I type the letter H, my first result is: 'visit hardocp.com', and directly below there is an entry: "www.hardocp.com. This result of 'Visit hardocp.com'everything is new behavior that I want to turn off.
Also, the deletion of an entry in the address bar does not seem to work (one that appears first, still and always starts with: 'Visit [url]'). I pointed out the entry and press DELETE on my keyboard and it disappears. I then my url most visited my first new result. But when I can cool off and come back on the address bar and type a letter, the entrance is back! It's infuriating.
How can I go about fixing this?
This is a new feature in Firefox 43. To turn it off to do this:
- Go about: config in Firefox
- Click on the I'll be careful button
- Locate the Boolean browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
- Change the false value
Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

You should, as far as I know, be able to use two types of mouse; I know that many people find it more natural and easier than the mouse pad integrated, but that is purely a personal preference.
A wired mouse plug directly into a USB port or a round PS/2 port, check the ports that you have before you buy anything, but you should have no problem with USB.
Use of wireless mouse a small receiver which plugs into a USB port and would be normally equipped with software to run it.

However, I must say that I do not understand why I have to spend so much money on higher level cameras to get a wireless remote. In the box with camcorders, wireless remotes came 15 years ago, when digital video and all this technology did not exist. Currently, other camera makers put wireless remote controls in the box with their camcorders, and have applications with built in technology that I did not buy a $75 accessory for.
For what is wired, the RM - VD1 works with discontinuous models. The RM - AV2 seems to work with the HDR-PJ380/B but wired? For a $600 device? I am not including a remote wireless down end - $200 cameras, but for the price of the PJ380, a remote is expected.
I don't understand the deletion or lack of any attach/remote capture in the programming of Alpha dslr either, and I do not buy a telephoto and A65 as I predicted last week. I've been a Sony fan for years. I have two old Sony Camcorders (with wireless remotes I might add), two Sony televisions and two old cameras Sony that I always take pictures with today among the myriad of small electronic devices from sony I.
I'm disappointed in the lack of basic features in the Sony offerings right now, I'm very sorry to say.

This morning, I decided to go back to the wired USB connection - has been able to accomplish it, but with considerable difficulties - and now I have 2 printers in the folder of my printer (photosmart HP 6520 and photosmart hp 6520 (network).)
My question is: can I get the printer to function as both wired and wireless? If so, how?

E4200V1 disconnects - wired and wireless
I have random disconnects, but it is not only wireless, it's the trendy too. I updated the firmware and I still have questions. the 4200 worked fine for 3 years, and all of a sudden it just starts dropping across the network at random.

Hi kxlara. Intermittent connection for wired and wireless is usually caused by a bad firmware. You updated the firmware version of the router yourself? Did you do a hard reset of the device as soon as you have made with the upgrade process? I suggest that you do. To do the correct reset, simply press the reset button on the router for 30 seconds while the unit is turned on. Release the button and unplug the unit. Reinstall the settings from scratch. Hope that helps.
