    Hello

Here are a few things to check.

    1. right click of the battery icon in the toolbar and select Power Options.  Click on change settings for the plan alongside your selected power plan, and in the next window, click on change advanced power settings.  In the advanced settings window, expand display, and then expand Enable Adaptive brightness - make sure it is set to Off for on battery and sector.  Click apply then Ok to save the configuration changes.

2 open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  In the new page layout, select Intel HD Graphics.  Click the power and in the next screen, select on battery in the left pane - under the Display Power Saving Technology option, put on Disable.  Click on apply and then OK to save any setting changes.

  • HP 14 laptop: brightness control problems

    Hello

My mother has recently bought a new HP 14 laptop and when the AC is plugged in, the display BRIGHTNESS varies from no visible state. Brightness controls are also reversed, for example when I press the brightness control, it will be brighter.

I thought it could have been a graphics driver issue but I have updated graphics for the latest versions and still no change. graphic design is a "Intel HD 4000'.

All the solutions to this problem would be great,

    Thank you

    @lm13181,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  With Windows 10 some of the performance parameters are a bit off.  The first thing I would try is running an update of the system BIOS.  Or BIOS Reset would be my first choice.

Here is a link to help you with this.

Please let me know if it helps.  Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

  • My hp dv6-6195 ca changes the display brightness when you look dark or black backgrounds

My laptop has started to get a question where I come back to a page with a black or dark background and it seems as if my brightness has dropped. If I transition to a page of white or clear, it slowly goes back to the original brightness. Is there any software issues I can change in the related settings or would it be a hardware problem? My laptop is out of warranty, so I don't know if I can send it to get her replaced screen if it's a difficult problem. Anyone else having problems with the display of brightness varies when going from dark to light?

The last action I can remember was the upgrade of the AMD Catalyst Center, but I have found no setting he woud change that.

It is because the intel hd graphics driver you have in your system... steps, I followed to resolve are -

    (1) right click on desktop, and then open the graphics properties

    2) click on the column on the left power tab

Select battery 3) in respect of the power source

    (4) uncheck the display power saving technology

    (5) reboot your system

90% of the time it should start without this question for you, 10% of the time, it can further lower your brightness even if you uncheckd the option but a reboot again simply would help

  • Brightness of the screen messed up

I'm having a problem with the brightness of the screen. First of all, let me explain that I had a problem that caused me to lose my HD content, so I had to reinstall everything from scratch. I didn't have the recovery disks and also lost the recovery Partition, if she was really from scratch - I installed a new version of Windows 8 Pro. I, however, was installing all software and drivers page drivers & software for my model - SVE14A27CXH. I installed EVERYTHING - video drivers, Vaio care, everything.

Almost everything works fine now, but I noticed and issue with the BRIGHTNESS. I have it configured in the energy settings for the brightness will be about 80% when connected and about 40% when running on the battery. However, I have noticed that if I go on battery power, then reconnect, brightness rise - in fact, it is often even LESS THAN 40%, something like 20% more.

In addition, even when it is connected (and AS WELL a battery) brightness varies all the time. It is brilliant (like 80%), then it seems to go down a bit (maybe 60%), then rises to the top... I tried to find a function that automatically adjusts the brightness, but could not find - and even if it did exist, it should not change all the time that I am in a room that is lit evenly.

In any case, it seems that there is some sort of automatic adjustment - I just tried to switch off the light and the brightness is down. The problem is that I can't find out how to turn it off.

  • Portege R930 brightness increases when the shiny things are displayed

I use a Portege R930 with the 2nd lowest brightness. I noticed that when something bright is displayed, the overall screen brightness adjusted upwards by about 5 tiny slices to speed increment of 1 / second.

Increments of brightness are not nearly as pronounced as the steps in the brightness slider, but it's there. And very annoying.
I can't find any mention of this 'feature' online. Is it possible to disable it?

    Hello

I put t know if your laptop was equipped with the graphics card AMD but the problem, you take it all sounds a bit like a future provided by AMD GPU called: AMD vari-bright.
Vari-bright save energy consumption by optimising contrast image on the internal LCD screen AMD computers.

This feature can be used if the computer is running in battery mode, using the internal LCD only or PowerPlay settings under mode battery is set to maximize autonomy.

The Vari-Bright feature can be turned on and off in CCC.

  • Pavilion Sleekbook 15: Auto brightness do not turn off?

I recently reset my computer due to some problems, and before that, I was somehow able to turn off the auto brightness.

Unfortunately, I can't now. I spent for power options and it turned off on each plane, but it still does not turn. I need my screen to full brightness all the time because otherwise I feel my eyes squint and make very bad uncomfortable.

    Any suggestions?

I don't know if this is weird or expected., but I found something that can help! Take a look at the comments in the following YouTube video: How to Turn Off Auto brightness in Windows 10.

Annette White says: 'I found the solution for my laptop. You probably have AMD graphics card. You must open the graphics drivers (you'll find them by right-clicking on the desktop and there is a button named AMD Radeon settings, you click on it), then you go to: display > advanced settings > power > * here you should find a thing called "PowerPlayTM", you click on it > you will find a checkbox called 'VariBrightTM' and you will have to uncheck. > Apply. This is! »

Also, Romano said: "If you display varies in intensity with different applications and your AMD Raedon check running to see if Vari Bright is checked in the Catalyst Control Center under power management" ".

It seems that the solution works for some, but not all. Read the comments and let me know if you find something that works for you.

Please let me know if you find it useful.

    ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

I had this problem as well.

It is a parameter that is hidden in the AMD Vision Engine Control Center

I continued to look into the power settings - he's not here.

Panel-> appearance and personalization-> screen resolution-> advanced settings

Then click on the AMD VISION Engine Control Center tab in the Advanced Properties window that opens

Click the AMD VISION Engine Control Center button on this tab. Now automatically opens the window of AMD.

In the window of the AMD, in the home screen, under POWER, click on the link of PowerPlay.

Encheck the box labeled "enable Vari-Bright" and apply your settings.

  • Fluctuations in brightness on E545

The brightness on my new E545 with Windows 8.1 fluctuate strangely while browsing the web or other things that. It's really annoying. It will disappear and flash then suddly to a brighter setting.

I have already disabled the Adaptive brightness in power options, and she always does.

Research on the web I see a bunch of suggestions that are related to the graphics cards Intel but nothing related to AMD. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

JUST FIXED IT (hallelujah glory). What you need to do is right click on your desktop, go to the AMD Vision Engine Control Center (superior options), hit PowerPlay and disable Vari-Bright!

  • The display brightness is automatically defined by content screen brightness?

Additional for my other problem with the brightness of the screen I also have this question:

Battery operation, it seems that the display brightness is automatically adjusted by the lightness of the contents of the screen.

For example if I start a program with a dark background display becomes a little darker. On the other hand, a lighter background makes the screen a little clearer. It is not strong like a tap on F7 or F8 - just a little bit.

Of course, this is a nice feature. But for me who use many applications as it is a bit annoying.

Can someone give me a tip where I can disable this feature? Found nothing in the settings of the energy.

    Overview:

I have a Dell 560 which has Windows 7 64 bit is installed.  My printer is an old HP Officejet v40xi.  Have had two e connected by a USB cable for 3 years.

I ran out of ink.  I had not been printing a lot, so I did not fill the cartridges for several weeks.  I had a bright idea to reinstall the printer software for the printing/tool box I used on another computer.  I wanted to do a scan.

When I try to print, the queue varies from 0 document (s) in the printer queue: error.  I reloaded the software twice, I put on a new USB cable and I changed the port.  I still get the same message.  Troubleshhot Windows printer also, indicates that it cannot determine the problem.  I went to HP and did not find any help.

  • Brightness of screen ranging from blackBerry Smartphones?

I noticed that the level of brightness on my Storm varies, is it supposed to?  I noticed several times during the reading e-mail and looking at the photos of the camera.  It can be vary brightness one accidentally, I press the button, someone we know?

It has a light sensor and the brightness based on the lighting. You can stop the feature (blacklight dim automatically disable in the screen/keyboard of the option menu), but this will slightly affect autonomy since you do not always have a maximum brightness.

  • My PC screen brightness adjustment

I recently uninstalled the Windows 8 bases on my 255 HP and installed windows pro 8.1 build 9200. What bothers me, is that I can't turn down the brightness of my laptop and hurts the eyes and a laptop that is discharged in an hour to show for it. I have tried everything to try to adjust the brightness in Power Options in Control Panel to install several display drivers with no avail. I tried the upgrade of Microsoft's Visual display card and it didn't work. What the * is false? Please I need help. My head is pounding because of the wounds of the eye.

    Thanks in advance...

    Panashe salvation,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

How you adjust the brightness and contrast varies and depends on your specific display. Laptop displays is not brightness or contrast buttons on the front. For the majority of laptops, there is not a control for adjusting the contrast. However, you can set the brightness of many laptops by pressing the Fn key and pressing a function key to decrease brightness or increase the brightness.

Check that you have installed all the latest Windows including optional and important. Install the driver and the following utilities.  You will be able to adjust the brightness using the function keys.

Also be sure to only install the driver from the computer manufacturer's website was last updated.

    Let us know the status.

  • Changes of brightness

does anyone know why my screen brightness intensity when I scroll the page down or upward on internet explore 11?

2 days ago I bought a new laptop HP Pavilion 17th-110DX with processor AMD A8 - 4500 M with Radeon Graphics 1.9 Ghz, 4 GB of ram and Windows 8.1 64 - bit, and I'm still getting used to the new user interface (- had Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit in my old laptop-).  I like it a bit, I can tell.
However, I noticed something that she has been driving me crazy for the last 2 days.  Every time, when I open the browser (Internet Explorer 11) I noticed a little change in the intensity of the brightness on the screen when I scrolled the page downwards or upwards.  At first, I thought it was the browser, so I downloaded another one (google Chrome) and the situation/problem persisted.  Then I thought that there could be a problem with the video controller, so I've updated without success.  Also, I've updated everything I was invited by HP and Microsoft and the problem persists.
It seems to me that it only happens when I have the browser open.  I tried other applications without going through this annoying situation.  I adjusted the brightness levels in "Power Options."  I also chose to use 'High Performance Option' in the same category without result.
Do you know guys what could be the problem?  Or how to resolve this situation?  If I can be clearer explaining the situation or problem, it seems that if there is some sort of a "light sensor" that adjusts the brightness of the screen, as seen on mobile phones like Samsung S4 when 'light atmosphere changes.   Very annoying.
I hope you can help me.
    Thank you

    I found it!

I was reading the specifications of the video card and manual online and there is a feature called: "Vari-bright" on the AMD Catalyst Control Center.  It is designed to "optimize the brightness of the Panel and save energy", a pain in the neck if you ask me.  After I unchecked the box, he stop doing.
In any case, I appreciate those who have watched my question/situation/problem and tried to help.
