AC adapter / CC Qosmio G20 damge - required IC chip number of room

Hello

My Toshiba Qosmio g20 AC adapter has been damaged due to an electrical short.
Chip is IC 8 pins inside of it was completely burn so that I couldn't even read the part not that chip.

If anyone knows not its part, please let me know.

Technical details:
Toshiba AC adapter - PA3237U - 1ACA
Input 100-240V ~ 2A
Output 15V - 8A

Thank you
AERTS

Hello

If I understand the question; the adapter is damage and you try to fix the wrong adapter is good?

Look, man. you shouldn't do that!
You need to buy a new adapter! These adapters are not expensive.

To be honest, I doubt that you can order a new single chip (However what this chip can be) for the AC adapter.
As far as I know if something would be wrong with an AC adapter, then, the entire part needs to be replaced

Good bye

    Hi ismael,.
I'll try to help with that, but it's a long way to the road...
I don't know what Tv system is used to Malta (Pal)?

The best way to set up your TV's with Media Center 2005 edition.
    Cables:
Check the back of your cable TV installation box and find the composite or SVHS output. If you have only the composite, you can use the composite cable of the posted image. If your TV decoder has the SVHS, so you should use, to the better image than composite. You must obtain a SVHS cable for this.
Look for the audio output rca, too. Mix with the composite cable for the audio Qosmio.

    But you must have:
1 control cable IR, for media center 2005 configuration as well as your TV decoder. It is cable connected to the remote sensor (see fact sheet on the back).

2 sensor for your remote control and configure it with the remote control of your TV decoder. In this way, you can control the receiver cable channels, using the remote control for your Qosmio G20 media center edition.
Recovery: you can change the channels on your TV decoder using the qosmio remote control.

    3. remote control for you media Center 2005, one that came with your Qosmio g20.

Open the TV on Media Center 2005 configuration and follow all the steps required for installation.
You must follow the guide, as is explained in the image you posted:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/using/Setup/SetTop.mspx

If you have all these cables, you can use the Qosmio player to watch TV. It is not tied to windows OS.
Here, simply connect the coaxial cable and let the Qosmio player search for available channels in your area. Qosmio player has the opportunity to set the colour TV system in any part of the world. all NTSC regions in all PAL regions.
If you have the remote control for your Qosmio, TV keys will work directly with the Qosmio remote sensor on board, without needing the external sensor of Microsoft.

    I hope this helps you

    they can't post in Ireland.

So all I need to know is the number of part im looking for.
Its the cable that connects to the Tv tuner on the back of the laptop

    Thanks in advance

    > I banded Toshiba and they put me through their parts department in the United Kingdom and I asked them about the part and they said they have but... they can't post in Ireland.
Why didn t ask you a reference number if you have already contacted the Toshiba in the United Kingdom?

I think that there are also some FSA in Ireland who are able to order this part at Toshiba.
Therefore, you should contact the ASP in Ireland and they could order directly in such part of Toshiba.

  • Qosmio G20: How to disable/bypass SCMS-T for adiosyn with a bluetooth headset?

    Hello all,.

I recently bought a set of bluetooth stereo headphones (Creative CB2350) and found that, because of the inclusion of SCMS-T copyright protection I can't audiosync directly to my computer laptop bluetooth stack (Qosmio G20). The headphones come with an audio jack adapter (bluetooth transmitter), but it runs on a single AAA battery and cannot last more than an hour; So I need to connect without it.

Is there a way to disable or circumvent the requirement for protection by copyright SCMS-T in the last toshiba bluetooth stack? and if not why not? I paid a lot of money for my Qosmio and my helmet and I'm leaving furious inclusion deliberate software/firmware designed to keep me from using my material for legitimate purposes (i.e. what they were designed to do).

    Please help me,
    Lee ([email protected])

PS: Frankly I didn't really a problem with DRM technology before that, but now I can see how irritating and pointless DRM is. Compare the number of people using bluetooth devices for piracy (negligible) number of bluetooth headset that does not support the MAN - T (a lot if all my google searches are anything to go by) and see you how stupid the idea of DRM via bluetooth is really.
In my opinion not so humble large commercial companies like toshiba should woven converluted pap as SCMS-T as a matter of appeal; the final user does not want to spend several years download licenses and scouring the web only to find out access to his material is totally useless. (Sorry for the rant, but that's how I feel).

You're right, I completely agree with you.
The problem here probably that Toshiba is a little anxious summer continued in the music industry, if users use technology to copy copy-protected music.
I think that it should be possible to transfer the responsibility of the end user by some sort of agreement, that the user must confirm once by a mouse click during installation.

I already had a discussion with Toshiba customer service on this issue. They informed me that they reconsider this issue and try to find a solution for this. The odds are so good
that a future version of the BT-stack will be the ability to disable the GUY.

  • Qosmio G20: How to make a dual-boot?

I have three partitions on my Qosmio G20.
I run WinXP on one and use a larger data.
The third partition is able to run Vista in (whenever that will happen).
I did it on other PCs with a RAID-0 configuration, but which required a floppy with the RAID driver during installation.
There is no floppy on the Qosmio, so how can I work around this obstacle?

    Hello

Usually the Windows operating system offers a clean startup application.
You should get a boot order (manager) automatically if you have installed two different systems on the device.
But nevertheless you can use also 3rd party applications

  • Qosmio G20-115: TV Tuner missing 1 or 2 channels

    Hello
Our qosmio g20 tv tuner missing 1 or 2 channels, I would understand if he did not get the channel with bad reception on our normal tv, but the channel is missing is one of the clearest of cases.
I did the scan twice and still no luck.
We have come an antenna on the roof and its been verified by a proffesional person and is in perfect order.

Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this problem?

In this forum, I see many people who have problems with the reception of the G20.
I can watch all English channels, but the quality is very poor.

If you use the G20 as a desktop like me, forget the G20 tv tuner and buy a freeview box (35-40 pounds).

"I get wonderful images of a free box satellite with a satellite dish, via s-video-in port"
and also, wonderful images of a "digital terrestrial DTT box" with a normal antenna, via the "monitor-in port.

If the antenna works fine with digital transmissions that are notoriously more difficult
to receive, it would be essential to correctly receive analog transmissions and, in my case, this is true for a normal TV,
but it is not true with the G20 TV card!

Is possible that you need an adapter "SCART to RCA", depending on what output a your decoder.

I can jump a decoder / to another using the utility:

    "All the programs/TOSHIBA/utilities/image Enhancement Utility.
then I click on: 'Parameter input monitor' and I can choose: "Monitor-in" or "S-video-in.

The G20 is a wonderful machine with a beautiful screen, but in my opinion, he has a weak tv card.

    Good bye

  • How to install driverupdate LAN for Qosmio G20?

In response to an alert from Toshiba, I downloaded an updated their site driver LAN driver. I can not find, however, any info on how to install it despite the statement on the website info would be on this site or in the downloaded file.

No icons probably looking in the file to produce anything. Any suggestions on how I might proceed? I have a Qosmio G20 (PQG21).

You'll have to do it the manual way:

    (1) unpack the contents of the downloaded lan - xp - 80430.zip file to a temporary location as c:\landriver
    (2) open the control panel and double-click the system icon
    (3) in the brand-new "System Properties" box click on HARDWARE on the top bar
    (4) now, click on 'Device Manager' and a new box will appear with several tiny icons.
    5) click on the "Network adapters" icon and select your Lan card (.. .should say something like INTEL and 100)
    (6) right click on the entry of Intel (r) and select "UPDATE DRIVER"
    (7) now follow the instructions in the "Update Wizzard'...

    (x) No, not this time---> NEXT
    (x) install from a list or a specific location---> NEXT
    (x) do not search, I will choose the driver to install---> NEXT
    (x) have Disk---> NEXT

    (8) where it is said: "copy the Builder files from" you must NAVIGATE to the folder you created in step 1 (c:\landriver)
    (9) now choose 'E100b325.inf' If you are running Windows XP OR E100ant5.inf if you are running Windows 2000 [choose the option for Windows XP]
    10) confirm with [ok] in the event that a box will appear telling you that the drivers are not certified by Windows, blah blah blah
    (11) reboot if your computer ask

I don't think its necessary to update your LAN driver unless you had problems with your network adapter.
I have described the procedure of a manual update which is exactly the same for each device. I can't
confirm if these drivers work on your computer, even if they should according to INTEL.
If you face problems to use your LAN card after the upgrade of drivers, do not hesitate to roll back to your previous settings... but for the moment let's hope we don't need to explain how to do this. ;)

    Good luck

  • Install Windows 7 on Qosmio G20

    Hello everyone, I have a Toshiba Qosmio G20 - 102 model: PQG20E

My operating system is Windows XP and iam trying to install Windows 7, when I run the Setup, choose "Custom Installation" (I can not choose the form of the option 'Upgrade' XP to 7), but when iam supposed to choose the drive I install windows, I get this message:

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Windows needs the driver for device [TOSHIBA RAID]. Click on "Load Driver" and load the required device driver. »

I tried to update the driver, I tried searching on the internet, but with no use, I'd appreciate it really if anyone can help, thanks :)

    Hello Ahmed

In general I put t if it is good idea to install Win 7 on this old notebook. OK you can try it but I fear that you will not be able to find the right drivers for it, especially some specific Toshiba m.

As you probably know, Toshiba doesn't support this model of laptop to Win7, not even for Vista so the history can be quite complicated.

Anyway, you can try to load THE RAID driver. You can find it in the KR10N folder.

Load it using the floppy or USB key. I put t know if it will work, but you can try it.

    Hello

First of all, you are right. This very nice laptop s. I wish I would have a.
    Good on your problems:

1.), you should try to change the display resolution. It would be very interesting to know if the black dots remains on the screen. In addition, I put t think that it s a pixel dead issue because you don t have problems if watch you movies.

2.) have you used a Qosmio Player or a MCE? You should try to start the Qosmio player and try to launch a new search for TV channels. In the manual, you will find a detailed description of a connection and the use of the Q drive

3.) have you activated the Bluetooth with FN + F8 key combination?

    Hello

I have Toshiba Qosmio G20 and I have the following problem:
When I try to install new windows using the SATA drivers via the floppy USB drive as a process of installing classic XP SATA drivers are needed 2 times:

First time as usual, you will need to press F6 to specify drivers via the USB floppy drive, that this is no problem. The works of diskettes.

Afterworlds it is the second time that when the same SATA drivers are required from diskette (drive A :). After the selection of the 1 install Windows XP blue screen 3 options, before the first reboot. The installation starts copying the files required for the instillation process and asks AGAIN COPY THE SATA DRIVERS for more usage of the system.

On this stage the USB Floppy is see inaccessible computer cant that it has USB floppy A:.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Did you install the RAID driver?
Well, I put t know if it because of this problem, but as much as I know the Toshiba RAID driver must be added during the installation, when prompt to 'press F6 if you need to install a third-party RAID or SCSI driver.

To do this, please download the Toshiba RAID driver from the web page of Toshiba driver download and extract the zip to a disk file. Connect the floppy drive to your computer before starting the installation.

The Setup program continues until you are asked if you want to "S = specify additional device. Press' and specify the driver Toshiba Raid for XP or 2000 as required.
Press 'Enter' to continue the installation.

When you use Windows Setup to partition or format the HARD drive, the RAID driver is deleted in the process.

Please tell me if you have resolved the problem.

  • Qosmio G20 - could not get the video to display on the LCD screen

I have a laptop Toshiba Qosmio G20, running Windows XP MCE.

The DVD player on board isn't sounds very well so I thought I would plug an external DVD drive to expand its use. After a lot of internet research, I finally found how to do this. Here's my setup.

Using the monitor port I used the adapter 3 RCA jacks. (There is no S-video on the DVD drive and an adapter did not work). I finally discovered that in order to get the image on the screen, I have to use Fn + 4. Now, here's where I'm having the problem. I can't get the video to display on my external LCD. FN + 5 didn't do. The monitor is an I - inc AH191D and is connected by VGA cable. There is no driver other than the one for the VISTA operating system... That is why it is not anywhere in the Device Manager.
Here are the settings I use in order to have all that shows on my desk, shows on the monitor.

In Control Panel open to the screen. Properties
Number chosen 1 - multiple monitors GeForce Go6600 video card...
    Advanced under
    the GeForce G06600 tab,
    nViewDisplay Mode: clone 1 a 1 b
The main screen: digital flat screen
    Secondary display: AH191

I also tried using the properties of controls on Toshiba. He says under TV output TV output but gives options of the program, but I don't know what I would use. Any ideas out there?

Wait I'm confused, if you try to send the output of your external DVD drive in the laptop, and then display the image on an external monitor attached to laptop?

If you use the DVD player on your laptop, it will be good quality S-video as a signal of low resolution.

Is there something wrong with the DVD player?

If it's just the DVD software you don't like, you can download other DVD players. PowerDVD is excellent, its better than WinDVD and other players in my opinion.
