AC/DC Combo adapt failure/short

I bought the slim AC/DC adapter with my ThinkPad and at first it seems to work, but it soon became apparent that he had a short which would cause it to fail intermittently. I've isolated to the point where the cable comes out of the brick.

I first noticed the problem about 8 months ago but sat on it too long and inadvertently let expire the first anniversary of my laptop computer purchase. The product has been used to sentence, and he has no works as advertised, so I hope that Lenovo will offer to replace it, even if the warranty period has expired on a technical level.

But I can't understand how (otherwise than through the forums) someone at Lenovo to know if you will honor this contact.

Help?

Tim

As far as I saw, you can not. The product is no longer in warranty and unless you modify the warentee (as they sometimes did on defective batteries) or issue a recall notice, it is not really much you can probably do. I've only had problems with mine, and it's doing the same thing as yours just after the warentee period is in place (I have two plugs DC fried in the period of warentee.) You're not alone in the situation, but you probably will get stuck there until you buy a new.

Hello, I want to save my external microphone as well as the hearing using the helmet on this laptop. Because the connection is a combo Harbour, this means I need an adapter of some kinds.

    I tried this one:

    http://www.theheadsetbuddy.com/PC-headset-to-35mm-Phone_c36.htm

And I don't know if it's the cable or the pc - it is very picky with me able to record low levels... With funny behavior as part of the position of the microphone in my helmet and I need to tweak the connection to get a balance between appearing as "not connected" and to work somehow, to turn off a loud static noise and appearing as connected.

found the problem. In the Smart audio settings, the "tab" speaker has an option for multi flow or classic flow. The multistream in his description seems to have its independent in the speakers and headphones. Also it messes up the microphone, perhaps the combination of the two (internal and external)?

Classic to change that, all allowed cables to work properly. Woohoo!

    Hello

Error code 24 characters for short drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  Only HP has access to the required software that can give a more specific cause, suffice it to say that if the machine is under warranty, the error is sufficient for the drive needs to be replaced

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

  • Presarion CQ62 - Combo adapter

I have a "adapter HP 65W smart ac/auto/air combo" leave early and wonder if that fits my Presario CQ62. The P/N on the map is 394202-001 and # is 403706-001 replacement.

Marking on it said output of charge mode not 15.0V and the release of charge mode say 19.5V. The charger supplied with the CQ62 gives 18.5V. Both have the same exact connector to the CQ62.

I can't find the Combo cards manufacturer on any page of HP and looking for the adapter said HP pages it gives 18.5V, but it is marked 19.5V.

It will blow my diet or it'll work?

    Thank you

Part number 403706-001 I have the following information on partsurfer website:

    403706 001 AC/DC Smart adapter - adapter automobile/truck/air 65 w - accepts AC and DC - input 100-240VAC and 10-32VDC of entry voltatges - 18.5VDC voltage output - requires detachable 3 son power cord with plug C5 (part of ED993AA)

  • Hard disk 1 failure short DST Check

    Hi all

The laptop is a HP Pavillion G6 and failed a quick review of the system on Hard Drive 1. I then ran a Test of the component on the hard drive and it produced a failure ID og GLL1BV - B 6, 8737 - MFPX1F60UN03 and a product ID of C5J48EA #ABU.

My question is a hard drive broken completely, died? It is not my computer and was not supported if files would be lost.

If the hard drive needs to be replaced, can someone point me in the direction of a suitable replacement of 750Go drive?

If it's broken, is it possible to access the files and to rescue some of them?

More to that, I understand that I will need to reinstall the operating system on the new drive hard if she has completely disappeared, how I would approach this? As far as I know that the guy has no a boot disk as Windows 8 came preinstalled.

Finally, if she has not broken, no idea how to fix? It would be useful to take it to a repair shop, or that they would do what I did?

Sorry, it's a long, this is my brother's cell phone and I have a Mac, so not too sure on it in all honesty. Let me know if you need more info on the laptop or the problem.

    See you soon,.

    James

It seems that the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery discs that you can order from HP if none have been created using the software on the laptop. Recovery media can usually be ordered online from laptops or by phone Support page.

    Example HERE

If you need more help post returns with full model number & product as indicated on the Service tag on the bottom of the laptop.

  • 60 d AC adapter failure

Greetings and thanks in advance for any help.

Here's my problem. I have a 60 d, and it has been a workhorse over the past year. I shoot product 4 times a week, with an average of 125 to 150 rounds per day. I've never had a problem. My camera is connected to my laptop and I use capture software. I was on vacation last week, and when I shot today to shoot, everything seemed normal, however, as soon as I pressed the shutter for AF, battery has been cut. My LCD screen has shown only the empty battery icon that flickered. I stop everything, including software, re-started it upward and this time the camera has not yet shown the display, he went straight on the flashing empty battery icon.

When I swapped the AC battery for the domain controller, the camera works fine. I tried to clean the heads of the battery and the inside of the camera, use a new battery (always ACTS) and the problem persists. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

I have 60 d or an ACK - E6, but use a very similar Canon AC power supply with a different camera model.

First of all, the ACK - E6 is an Eliminator "battery", not"a". I think part of the confusion is you referring to the 'Battery' and 'AC battery. There is simply no such thing as a "battery AC." What you are referring to a "battery DC" is a LP - E6 battery pack.

The ACK - E6 is a kit consisting of three parts: a "hoiusehold AC" power cord, a voltage converter module and a DC "dummy battery" Connector (at the end of a rope).

If unit will not work with the ACK - E6, but runs at a standard LP - E6 battery is installed, the camera is very good and then something in the ACK - E6 failed.

Domestic power cord is quite simple, as long as it is not damaged and you have the correct method... Different power cords are supplied in various parts of the world where different types of domestic Sockets and other voltages are used.

The "dummy" battery is also quite simple... It is in fact little more than another cord that passes the CC power output changed from the module of voltage through to the camera converter. There are also different types of these "dummy battery", according to what the camera uses. Your using a battery LP - E6, but other Canon cameras use a small LP - E8 or a larger LP - E4, for example. An ACK-E? for the other cameras would come simply with a different size "dummy battery".

It is a little difficult, but sounds as if could be replaced just the part "dummy battery" of the ACK - E6. If this is the case, I think it's the power in fault converter. Dummy battery/DC power cord is quite probable failure except if it is damaged, that should be pretty obvious during the inspection.

The most likely part of the ACK - E6 failure would be the module converter... or 'power brick' as Jean called above. This is the part you replaced? Or did you buy a whole new ACK - E6 (all three parts) and who does not?

If you replaced the converter module or bought a new ACK - E3 and it still does not, the first thing I suspect outlet you're electrical connection of the ACK - E6 thread in! Have you tried different Sockets? Or you are using an extension cord between the plug and power cord of the ACK - E6? Which also may have failed, although generally it would be obviously damaged.

I would observe a video, click on different tab, things like that and everything would become insensitive and gel (did not only happen to my browser would happen even with my search bar). Reboot and giving him a moment could solve this problem, but it's up to what happened to 20 or 30 minutes after the start to the top. I decided to do a reset, chose not to save my files (do not do a wipe 100% although) because there is nothing of critical importance, and I thought it might be a virus. Do you have the wipe, had a good bit error, in that the cloth could not be made (I don't know the exact wording). I tried again, same thing. Hello

The error code 24 characters is a disk failure short self-test and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the problems you describe.

If you want to replace it yourself, it is quite inexpensive - a brief guide on this is below.

The player at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.

    Hard drive 500 GB

The procedure to replace the hard drive starts on Page 54 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

As you have upgraded to Windows 10 and as long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after the upgrade, you can simply use another PC to create the installation media for Windows 10 and then perform a new installation - it is all detailed in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

    http://www.howtogeek.com/224342/how-to-clean-install-Windows-10/

Regarding the existing personal folders on the failed disk, one possibility would be to place it in an external enclosure - is an example of the link below - connect to another PC and see if you can access your files.

    Hello

The code actually read RGF722-5PU820-MFPV5F-60RW03 (IE not L in the 2nd block of characters)?

If that is correct, the error code 24 characters is a disk failure short self-test and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the problem you describe.

  • ProBook 450 G1: Probook G1 - update adapter Wi - Fi 450

    Hello

I turn my Wi - Fi adapter to something "better."  I don't know much about Wi - Fi adapters, so I can't really specifficaly highlight what I'm looking for.

The power adapter is: Mediatek MT7630E 802.11bgn (according to the Device Manager). If you can point me to a list of compatible cards I can research the differences.

I hope my question is not too vague.

    Thank you very much!

Your notebook is new enough to be beyond the problem of the 'white list', so you can install any adapter compatible wi - fi, correct form factor.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

    WLAN module

    MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn 1 x 1 Wi - Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter 710418-001

    Atheros AR9485 wireless 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 adapter 675794-001

    Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260AN WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n 2 x 2 + BT4.0 717381-001

This is the best of those in the manual, because it is dual-band (2.5 and 5 ghz) and has Bluetooth, your and you do not want to lose:

  • Want to M6 1225DX: updated HP Envy M6 1225DX wireless adapter

I'm looking to upgrade the card wireless in my HP Envy M6 1225DX.  Here are a few features on the machine:

    Product # D1E93UA #ABA

    CPU: Intel i5 - 3230M @ 2.6GHz

    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM

    GPU: Intel HD graphics 4000

Wireless: Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wifi adapter

OS: Windows 7 x 64 (I know that HP does not support this)

    BIOS version: F.26

The wireless adapter that is currently installed (Ralink RT5390R) only supports SISO and the download speed tops out around 18-20Mbps.  I'm looking to replace this card with a card compatible MIMO and bluetooth, for example a 7260 Intel.

I read on several forums that HP basically whitelists some cards wireless in BIOS.  I have reviewed the maintenance manual and it has a list of compatible cards I listed below:

    • Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 9485GN and 3012 adapter Bluetooth 4.0
    • Atheros 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Bluetooth adapter Combo WB225
    • Broadcom 4313GN 1 × 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter 802.11b/g/n 20702
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N WLAN 6230
    • MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1 × 1 Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter
    • RALink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001 1 × 1
    • Atheros AR9565 1 × 1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 802.11b/g/n
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN for the Japan only

These are the only cards I can run in this machine?  I also read somewhere that HP no wireless adapter like whitelisting in the BIOS, and if that's the case, would a BIOS update fixed this problem?

I've been watching the 7260 Intel, but I don't know if it would work and would not order it and he has no job.   This adapter could work in this phone or I am I'm confined to the list given in the service manual?  If I'm limited to the above list, no matter what recommendatins to the adapter that will give me what I'm looking for?

Basically, what I'm looking for in a wireless adapter is:

    • Supports A/B/G/N and AC at 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz bands.
    • More high speed possible
    • Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1/2 height Mini PCIe form factor

    Hello

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your m6-1225dx HP ENVY Notebook and supported wireless cards. Yes, these are the cards that are supported in your notebook and fortunately will work with your graphics card and processor.  Some say that just restore BIOS to factory default help if you decide to go with your choice.

You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.
