Accelerometer (voltage) of the signals using the module NI6361 (PXI)

Hi guys,.

I posted this question once again, but I still have problems with the acquisition of data. I'm acquiring a voltage signal by using an accelerometer module and single voltage NI6361. I would like to set up the accelerometer to measure a range of signal between + / 5000g.

The accelerometer sensitivity = 0,516 mV/g where

1 g = 0,000516 Volts or

1938-g = 1 Volt or

5000 g = 2.58 Volts

-J' left the signal conditioning with +/-10 Volts (despite the fact that there is another option value +/-5 Volts as well)-please see attached pdf

-I entered the units sensitivity to g

-J' put labview to measure a signal between +/-10 Volts to the single a complete axis accelerometer.

-An oscilloscope was related to the card, and she won the same vertices with the LabVIEW. -Please see attached pdf

-By knocking gently on the accelerometer, the recorded signal was 400 mV = 0.4 V where he gives an acceleration of 775g.

-L' accelerometer is also fixed on the ball for a shock test fell from a distance of 50 mm. The recorded acceleration was 4000g which is quite high for such a small distance. I expect an acceleration of about 200g of 2 to 4 meters according to some documents as well.

Can you please give me any help on the way in which the parameters are specified correctly between the accelerometer and the coupler? I'd appreciate it highly if you can correct me if anything of the above statement is false. I have attached a PDF for your convenience.

Kind regards

Since gain is the scale factor for tension, you must divide your results by the gain.

g = voltage / (sensitivity * win)

  • How can I measure the voltage of a signal?

    Well!

I'm trying to read the voltage of a signal using acquisition data PCI-6229 card.i am giving the signal as an input to the DAQ card and try to read the voltage level. The range of my signal is 4.8 ~ 5.5 VDC but the results are not accurate, such as measured with DMM. My code is as follows:

1.i m using DAQmx create channel to create an analog input channel

    2. then a sample clock with finite samples, sampels by channel and set the rate of iteratively

    3. then I start the task

    4. analog playback 1 DBL AK1 N sample d

Pressure readings I am differs widely that the actual.e.g a signal measured with DMM is 5v but when applied to the DAQ hardware and measured gives 6v.also I have to define minimum values and maximum in VI... If I put 4 to 5 maximum and minimum to measure a 5vDC signal it gives good result. , but if I change the maximum setting to 6v then it gives me results.also bad behavior is different for different signals for example when I measure a 6.5 VDC to signal that it shows me the voltage as 7.3V...

Photo of my code of VI is attached... Please answer... or give me another code that works fine at the voltage of a signal reading.

  • Acquisition of the voltage with the NI 9206 module

    Hello

I use a module NI 9206 with a CRIO-9081 to get 14 acquisition of voltage from 0.4V to 5.8V using the mode of CSR.

Then I plug the 14 to the module of the AI0 of entry I 15. When I connect the first 12 pins, I get the good acquisition but when I connect the two last pole, the tension of the first two (pin AI0 and AI8) traditionally of 0.4V and that's what I don't understand.

I tried to remove the two first entry, but then the two following voltage increase of 0.4V.

That's why I wonder if I forgot something, why the first entry increase and if someone already has mett something similar.

    Tahnk you

Sounds like you see a form of ghost for me.

  • How can I measure the output of a sensor pwm ultrasound using the module or 9403

How can I measure the output of a sensor pwm ultrasound using the module or 9403

    Khalil,

When you say 'measure' the PWM signal, exactly what to tell you?

You're looking to measure the frequency or cycle of the signal function? You count the edges of the PWM output increase? Looking to control the waveform?

With reconfigurable FPGA hardware, it is up to the user to define the function of the physical i/o on the FPGA chip. By connecting the signals as Adam suggests your digital pulse will be brought to the cRIO. In your FPGA program, you define the function. You can set a base counter or transfer digital data from single point to welcome you cRIO for floating-point more complex treatment. Example FPGA programs are located in the http://www.ni.com/IPnet.

Hope this helps, please post any additional questions.

I would use the add-on that I already have on my Firefox, 1-ClickWeather. So, how can I disable the 'signature' on an individual add-on module? It is said to "Act with caution", but it does not show Me the details of my time. I reinstalled the add-on, but it does not yet record my position.

Yes, I KNOW it is no longer supported, but has always worked until this past Saturday. It was abandoned several years ago but was kept alive by a single poster whose comments have disappeared. • using the module time real Labview in RTAI

    Hi all

I want to use the module time Labview in RTAI real for real time due to its open source applications and very good performance. is it possible to make this work?

If this is the case, can anyone introduce a single study of case or something similar to this?

I don't think it's possible for anyone outside of OR. LabVIEW Real-time supports this time only Windows as host and as a target only material of National Instruments with specifically targeted OSes or the Pharlap ETS system on x 86 systems with hardware specific enough. Using RTAI as target OS for LabVIEW Real-time applications requires first a few changes on the time plugin real LabVIEW to support this new platform.

None of the files in time real LabVIEW also created for either platforms OR running VxWorks or OS Pharlap, Pharlap ETS system woud be able to be deployed to a system RTAI, because they are not compatible. In the first place, you'd have to port the bunch of shared libraries that make up the time target real system running LabVIEW on one of these goals to your RTAI system which is in fact a whole new platform of LabVIEW you can create with a little effort from the LabVIEW source code. It's not really impossible for OR as most of the code LabVIEW is written platform completely independently, but it would be a combination of the parameters compilation for course LabVIEW Real-time, with the settings to produce time targets real LabVIEW VxWorks with some additional settings of Linux. Yet, it would be by far not trivial and some parts are actually hardware specific drivers that must be worn too and limit the possibilities of what RTAI material could serve even further. In short not something that would make any commercial sense NC because they invest a lot of resources with no opportunity to sell additional hardware.

And hell freezes over up front release of NI LabVIEW source code in any form which gives access not - OR used to it!

  • How can I use the USRP to record a signal using its two RX ports simultaneously?

    Hello.

I am trying to record a signal using two antenna cone. The reason that I need two antenna to cover the bandwidth (DC - 6 GHz). a single antenna covers DC - 300 MHz and the other covers 300 MHz to 6 GHz. so I need to use two RX port of USRP at the same time to record the signal. I have two questions:

    1. is this all USRP market capable of covering this frequency range?

    2. is it possible to use the two RX port at the same time to the signals of the records I described? If this is not the case, how can do?

P.S. I have two NI2920 USRPs and two USRPs N210 in my lab.

Thanks in advance for your time.

    Sam.

    Hi Sam,

To answer your first question, the USRPs you can reach the bandwidth you want. There is not a USRP, to my knowledge, that can reach this range in a single device.

Also note that you can only use RX convened for two different ports at the same time using LabVIEW and the pilot of the USRP. If you want to use the two lines of RX, you will need to run a session with a single line, close the session and then start a different session for your second RX line.

  • What version of VxWorks operating system is used by the Module of Realtime LabVIEW 8.6

I have in the past created VxWorks shared libraries for use with the Module of Realtime LabVIEW 8.2 and 8.5 and there are various required tools due to the change in versions of VxWorks by these two Versions of LabVIEW.

For your information, I would be interested to know if changing to LabVIEw 8.6 Realtime Module will require still a new compilation, or if this version is always based on the same core VxWorks 6.3 and my shared lib would therefore simply continue to work?

    Hi Rolf,.

Great news; VXwork version is still 6.3, so we have no problem with the migration to this version.  Please let me know if there is.

  • Using the DAQ USB-6009 meter and an analog input voltage at the same time.

    Hello

Currently, I'm reading the two channels of voltage with the USB-6009. It happens that one of the channels is the output of a digital coder, and it would be much easier to use it directly to the PFIO entry that is defined as a counter. The problem I am facing right now, it's that I can't use the DAQ Assistant to use the analog voltage to a channel and the digital channel counter at the same time. Once I put the DAQ Assistant to read the input from analogue voltage, I won't be able to add analog inputs. And as I put the DAQ Assistant to use the PFIO as a counter, I can add more entries to read analog voltage is.

I wonder if it is possible to solve this problem using the lower level data blocks? Another solution would be to read two channels in analog input voltage and that the use of Matlab to process data resulting from it, since I was not able to do the counting to work simultaneously with the acquisition in Labview to impulses.

Hope you guys can help out me.

    Thanks in advance.

Using a simple wizard of DAQ is incorrect. You need one to acquire analog inputs and one for the meter.
