Hi amp88.

1. you are the administrator of the computer?
2. don't you make changes recently?
3. where do you download the files?

Step 1: Looks like you are not allowed to perform these tasks.
We recommend you connect to an administrator user account and check if the problem persists.

Step 2: Check in safe mode

Step 3: If the problem persists in safe mode, check in a new user account.

Kind regards

I found a few other questions on this forum who have remained unanswered.   I found a site citing the problem for drive X - I use XI.

Change to drive XI.   Perhaps the reader at the library had this as its default setting.

    1. In Adobe Reader, clear the check box enable the Mode protected at startup :

      • If you have a PDF open, right-click the document, and then click Page Display Preferences.
      • If you open Adobe Reader from the shortcut, click on Edit > Preferences.
    2. In the categories dialog box Preferences pane, click (enhanced) protection, and then clear the box enable the Mode protected at startup .
    3. Close and reopen Reader.

I have no idea if that setting has been changed in my XI player since I used this version exactly one year ago.

    Hello

If it is necessary to download the programs below on another computer and transfer it to this one
on removable media (such as CD, DVD or USB drives). Rename the .exe programs to
such as MBAM.exe to XXSCAN.COM .com - rename when analysis completed.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be done in Safe Mode - repeatedly, press F8 as you start however, you should also
Run them in regular Windows when you can.

TDSSKiller.exe. - Download the desktop - so go ahead and right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN
It will display all the infections in the report after you run - if it will not run changed the name of
TDSSKiller.exe to tdsskiller.com. If she finds something or not does not mean that you should not

Hello, it seems that when I try to open a program, it says incorrect parameter.  Then when I try to access my c drive it says access denied that it won't let me download anything or to uninstall no matter what or how to solve this problem

    Hi shelleymccrory,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Step 1:

You can check in safemode, if the problem occurs.

    Check out the link:

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:

You can also check the following link and try to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan on your computer and check.

Note: When you perform the analysis, there are risks of data loss you can take a backup of important data before performing analysis.

  • Cannot access on the Board of the company; access denied and already accepted invitation messages

Received an invitation for Enterprise Dashboard. He accepted and following the procedures outlined. Now, I get "access denied" errors Read the other discussions in the forum about it but can't find a solution. When I try to accept the invitation again, its said to another user agreed. Any ideas on how I can fix this and connect to Enterprise Dashboard? Thank you in advance. (Federal official stuck using the Explorer 11)

Looks that you have been invited as an end user rather than as an admin, in which case you don't need to log on the dashboard (this is only for admins). To use the right software connect when prompted.

  • Access denied and I need to access!

Can someone tell me what is happening?  If I take a USB and put it in my laptop (Win 8.1), then I can copy a variety of documents on the HARD drive.  When I opened on these documents, they are readable, but I have no permission to modify and save changes.  I am the sole owner of these two computers where documents have been created and where they have been transferred, but I tried many examples of forums on how to fix this problem and nothing works.  I honestly could have spruced up the documents in less time than I spent trying to edit them and save them.  Why can't just edit and save my own files?  The big question is what.  Is there some universal command which will give me access to all the documents that I have on any of my dozen or so USB drives and easily read, edit and save them?

Like a fire aside on this issue, among all of the ways that I'm tired, I plugged the USB return drive to and copied the file back to her.  Once there, so I could edit, record, rewrite and do what I want, but if I copy it to the same PC HARD drive, so I'm stuck without permissions.  How is it that the same computer is not even hint to permissions when I copied it onto the USB drive, but it drives me crazy with questions of authorization if I copy it to the HARD drive?  A universal switch authorization would be nice, really nice.

    Larry

Published addendum to the above: 20 minutes later. I managed to do work using the name of connection for the connection to my computer under Permissions\Security\Edit...  Now, following up the question, as before, since I have 1000 files on USB disks, is there a universal way to do or I will have to do 1000 times permissions for each of my documents?  Is someone can you please tell me if there is a universal way to do for the thousands of documents that I have?

  • Access denied on USB keys and external

I am running Windows 7 Professional.  I have 2 keys USB, that both worked when I first came to this computer.  I have an external passport that worked when I first came to this computer.

Now, when I Plug one of them, it gives me a prompt message 'Access denied' and says something about a Security tab.  When I click on this message, there is no available security tab.  I have important things about the Lord as I do for my college work.

Someone get to the right answer, please.

In addition, I have games like my flight simulators that worked on another computer with Windows 7 Professional... and on this computer, they won't work.  Same operating system... different results.

  • Windows 7 Pro EFS and access denied

    Hi all

I use Windows 7 Pro & recently my motherboard has not completely!

Before that, the only indications of a problem seemed to be errors of IO, but Seagate tools etc etc says it all, it was

Well! After some troubleshooting I replaced the SATA cable and everything seemed OK!

So, I supported manually backed up 99% of my files on external drive 'My book' and others on my LAN drive!

Also, I decided to install a new drive HARD Seagate 2 TB and used Macrium reflect to CLONE the OLD drive (C :) for her!

When the motherboard is not / could not access drive etc etc, I have assumed that the drive had failed and decided to make a recovery - Norton Ghost recovered the system OP OK, BUT I wanted THEN RE-BOOT and the system could not do

who... The MB has finally made the soul!

Now that I have replaced the motherboard and I added a SSD Evo 850 and installed Win 7 Pro, I have re-installed the software, we come NOW to the crux of the matter!

Under the former regime in my library of Documents I had an EFS encrypted file, well call him 'MyPvtStuff '.

The NEW system, I have set up libraries develop NEW Seagate HDD and copied all libraries from the old to the NEW. On the audit of all the folders & files copied to the NEW libraries very well.

I use a program called "BEYOND COMPARE [BC]" (CheckIt Out... NOT a gift, but a must-have tool) to confirm everything was OK and deleted the OLD files EXCEPT THE DOCUMENT ROOT directory.

The access to the NEW "MyPvtStuff", I found the files still encrypted, BUT HAD 'ACCESS DENIED' and should have permissions to use them! Also, when I tried to DECRYPT!

I tried the permissions and repossess and import certificates etc. etc. etc. ALL WITHOUT SUCCESS!

After investigating the same problem on the web and try some tools copy etc, I found useful information "If you copy a file or folder across a network, the file/folder is DECRYPTED and then copied everywhere".

So I was Lucky (good luck, no management) that I had copied the OLD "MyPvtStuff" and able to recover a number of file. Unfortunately, I had NOT backed up the most recent file.

I have resorted to the "My Book" drive and found that the backup was also encrypted AND of coarse the really important the (year-end) etc. etc. are the one I need!

I decided to start from the old drive cloned in the hope that I might be able to recover the files of encryption/diploma (you guessed it, I backup the encryption key/powers), it has Boot Ok BUT Windows wouldn't start, not really a surprise!

Essentially, if I can locate the file encryption (whatever it is? and import to my system of work, I should be able to decrypt the files I NEED and what you need is an understatement!)

Unfortunately, a lot of links referring to the technical support from Microsoft for Windows 7 are WITHOUT available and making it very difficult to get the information I need! If anyone has the s on which folder / files that I need to find so I can at least import the certificates that I'd LOVE to hear from you!

Some additional info, I have the installer of the new system with the same user name and account profile, password etc.

In safe mode does not help at all!

    Thank you very much

  • Access denied

    Hello

recently I formatted my computer (win xp sp3 installation)

before I format it I copied the files I needed after the format my external hard drive

When I loged in my windows, I wanted to see a file that I needed on my external drive

When I tried to open a txt file it said access denied and I couldn't open it.

then I tried to open an image (JPEG) and I couldn't see the image (no preview available)

and now I can't copy/use all my files!

I tried everything about the property, etc.

    Thank you

Start with, if your files have been encrypted with the Encrypting File System (EFS) on your old XP Pro machine and you don't have a backup of your certificate of encryption, so your data is lost.   The EFS encrypted files would have disclosed with green filenames on your old system.
"Best practices for EFS file system.

Assuming that aren't encrypted files, then usually taking possession of one or more files to fix the problem.  Not knowing what "tried everything about property" means exactly, all I can do is to ask specifically if you have followed the steps in KB308421:
"How appropriate a file or a folder in Windows XP"

Even if you take ownership of a file, it is possible that you do not have the permissions that him.  Make a right click on the file-> properties-> and then click on the 'Security' tab and review the permissions to access the file.  If you do not have a 'Security' tab, this is because Simple file sharing is enabled.  In XP Pro, disable sharing files Simple and if XP Home Edition, and then start safe mode for this tab.  Set the permissions accordingly.
"How to disable the file sharing simple and how to set permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP"

Assuming you've done everything above and you still cannot access your files, try to create a boot CD Linux Live free such as Knoppix, boot from this CD and see if you can access your files.  If it's strictly a permissions problem, then Linux should be able to access the files.
