Access denied, need permission to record a simple text file

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate Build 7600.  This pc is a pc private home with no one else having access or all other user accounts.

Even something as simple as change, then by recording a Notepad text file is not suitable.

Things, I tried to solve this problem:

1 taking possession; It shows that I am the owner
2 set the permissions for the 'total control '; shows all the boxes ticked in permissions
3 set my profile only on this pc to be called w/admin Admin privileges
4 - Set the slider all the way up to minimum level UAC
5 used "control of userpassword2" to disable login by username
6 tried to set sharing to other users; was not allowed to do this.

I was able to save/edit this text file, while in Mode without failure.  However, when I login to my account the singular admin, I am not allowed to save a plain text file.

I read extensively on this issue as well as snobs "admin" who think that I should not have full control of the files/folders that I have control over.  It's my pc, and if I accidentally ruin, then so be it.

UAC is an understandable feature for Rookie pc users.  However, the option should be there for pc users experienced changes on their personal computers without harassment by Redwood.

Rant aside, does anyone have a real solution to a simple text file can be edited and saved without going into Safe Mode and connecting to the main account?

Thank you.

Hello

If you log in using the hidden Windows administrator account, you should have no trouble.
1, log in using your normal account
2, open the command line by right-clicking on the icon and run as admin.
3, type "net user administrator / Active: Yes" and press enter
4, log off your user account and when the login screen appears you should now see a new admin logon.
5, once connected to this account, you should be OK to change your files.
6, before closing this admin account back to the cmd prompt and
Type "net user administrator / active: No.»
7, sign out, then work I hope.
Good luck

I'm using Notepad for the first time and wrong save file. Are there instructions about this somewhere?

    Notepad tutorial

The notebook is a handy program that a user can type text quickly and easily. It is not for having published a book, but more than a notebook. This is a tutorial on how to use Notepad.

    What will be taught

    • Opening Notepad
    • Saving a document
    • Printing a document
    • Open an existing document

    Open Notepad

To open Notepad, click on Start > all programs > Accessories > Notepad

Click here to see a screenshot of Notepad

To enter text, just start typing in Notepad.
If you make a mistake typing you can go back on it.

    Save

To save your work, click on file > save and if you him have not saved before a screen.

Click here to see a screenshot to save dialogue

For now, make sure that the encoding is defined in ANSI format.

    Print

To print file > print...  The three points after the printed word means that there will be another screen that appears. It is a Windows standard.

Click here to see a screenshot of the print dialog box

Select the printer you want to print to and then click the button 'print '.

    Open

To open an existing document from Notepad, click on file > open...

Click here to see a screenshot of the open dialog box

If you have not saved a document you work, Notepad will ask you if you want to save or throw it out. The window will appear (note the word "open" in the title bar) allows you to access your existing document.

Note that the file name has a *.txt which means that when you search for your notebook only previously created document type documents (those ending with .txt) will appear in the window.

    Back on line

Normally by selecting line is the best thing. What he does when turned on, when you type in Notepad just to the right of the page, the words wrap and start on the next line without having to press the Enter key.

Note that this does not affect printing. If there is a paragraph line several where entry was never affected then the paragraph will take across the width of the margins of the printed paper.

To activate the return ON click on Format, then Word Wrap. A check mark appears next to Word Wrap.

Click here for a screenshot showing that Word Wrap is on.

To turn OFF line click Format, and then Word Wrap. The check mark next to return to the line will disappear, indicating line is disabled.

  • Cannot run Aerotow, message error "access denied, needs access to the FSX.cfg file in My Documents and Settings folder'.

Original title: I need assistance with My Documents and Settings folder

I have Windows XP, Norton Internet security.

OK, so I have FSX. I'm having a little program called "Aerotow. To run, you must Access the FSX.cfg file in My Documents and Settings folder.
But access to this file is denied.
The most funny thing is - I can access the folder without problem. Open it and sail away. But my system seems to have blocked Aerotow.exe and configure.exe to access this folder. It's VERY frustrating. How can I access this folder? Why the program is blocked?
    Thank you.

    Hello

I suggest you to contact the developer of the application for assistance.

  • xcopy "access denied" - need to trouble

Signed the as with my Windows 7-64 bit system admin privledges. Try to copy the entire contents of the root of the 'C' drive and all subfolders to a network 'X '.

xcopy c:\*.* x:\*.*/m/e/y/d/s Gets the 'access deied' - an idea?

    Just a guess, but...

Drop the *. * after X:\ The generic reflect is only required for the source files as the destination takes the names of the source file.

Otherwise, create a directory on drive X: as CDrive for example and run the XCopy to that. That is to say

    C:\>xcopy c:\*.* x:\ CDrive/m/e/y/d

You would add only a file specification to the destination if you want to rename the files by a rule

xcopy c:\*.doc x:\*.sav /s would rename the doc files and copy them into x:\

Judging by the /d switch you could use this to a form of backup, so take a look at the Robocopy command which is quite a powerful alternative.

  • Download Simple text file from internet URL (base CVI)

I am trying to download a simple textfile locally on the computer using CVI (basic package).

I've seen many examples of Web browser and other programs of crazy whistle.  All I want to do is travel to a URL and download the file text in the background.  I tried to use the IWebBrowser program but could not figure out how to save the file to my output name specified without user intervention.

To be even more precise, here is a sample URL.  I want to save this file as yuma.txt in my working directory.  No prompt or anything.

    http://www.NAVCEN.USCG.gov/archives/GPS/2009/ALMANACS/Yuma/001.Alm

    to be registered as yuma.txt

Be specific about what instruments or dll to use and where to get them.

    Thank you very much!

After installing the program wget of GnuWin, I could simply extract files, wget.exe and .dll to the bin directory and get the program to run on another computer.  So, it would be the ultimate solution.

    http://GnuWin32.sourceforge.NET/packages/wget.htm

For this reason, the only losses are not have a preset file that comes with the program that is installed in the default path (which you can ignore any entry in the same command line arguments) and have the register of the installedpath.

If this solution seems to work!  Thank you

  • How to export all the names of files in a folder to simple text file.

    Hello Expertise,

I am trying to load the names of files in the folder to a table in ODI. then load the data from there to a single table.

I am able to load the data from 100 files in a folder. using the concept of loop (used ODI gurus: SEVERAL FILES - TARGET SINGLE TABLE - SINGLE INTERFACE link to do this, but right now I need to insert the names of files manually to a table. ) My Question is "is there any jython script or procedure to load all the file names to single table with FILENAME column. ???

If it please help me do this.

    Thank you

    Shakur

    Hi Shakur,

Yes you are right... The operating system command should be part of the automated process, I mean if you combine these file loading process (Interface, procedure, etc.) in a package of ODI, then the command BONES to get all the names of files in the FOLDER should be one of the steps in the package of ODI. For this, you can use ODI OS command component.

    Kind regards

  • need to convert a logically binary text file

    Hello

I have a text file binary that I have read and converted into a two dimensions array using the spreadsheet in table string. Then I converted the 2D table to table 1 d by concatenating columns. now I want to convert this table logically to another array of the same size such that all 0 are replaced by-5 and all the 1 replaced by + 5.  Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Hi Raja,

You can go through a loop and replace all values of your, or you use the function 'Flatten channel' and replace your values with the function "search and replace a String." Convert the string to your table with the function "Unflatten chain.

  • Playback/record to the text files using HTML5 as a basis for the code

Hi, I'm new and I did some research and I found a variety of solutions that seemed a little more complicated than I want. I would like someone to direct me to something that could teach me how to do two things.

    (1) read the text files (essentially my difficulty is how to interact with the file system of playbook for reading files and how to save text files with output 2).

It is not necessary to try and catch.

    Thanks in advance!

  • There was an error opening this document. Access denied.

    Greetings,

When I did my taxes last year (March 2012), I downloaded PDFs of the IRS.  Form 1040 was an accessible file for writing, and I filled the need.  This file was saved on a Vista on XP machine.  A few months ago, I upgraded this pc for Windows 7 SP1.

Today, I'm about to do my taxes for this year.  When I double click on Form1040.pdf of last year, I get the following error message:

There was an error opening this document.  Access denied.

Interestingly, I can open other files pdf, as the form 1040 Instructions.  I don't think I have my Form1040.pdf password protected.  The reason I think that it is not password protected is because I'm not be prompted to enter a password.

I copied the file in an old detached machine XP (XP Home Edition, version 2002, SP3) I have and it opens fine.  He did not ask for a password.  I have printed copies of forms of year last of this XP machine, so this isn't an emergency for me, but it's slightly annoying that I can't understand what is wrong.

I have Adobe Reader XI version 11.0.2 installed on two machines (the Windows 7 machine and the old XP machine).

To sum up, it was created on Vista, I can't open it with Windows 7, but I can open it with XP.

Normally I would consider loading the file in question, but in this case, I hope you agree that maybe it's a bad idea!

Tips to make it work on Windows 7 would be appreciated.

Access denied means that there is a kind of permission issues.  Check the permissions for your user id in this file.

  • Owner of the 'ACCESS DENIED' file to the owner

I'm on Windows XP Home edition 2002, Version 5.1, 32-bit (Service Pack 3)

I can't access my account "Owner" no matter how I approach him--even from the command prompt.  I keep getting messages like "the owner is not Accessible.  "Access denied", I lost it and thousands of irreplaceable files after screwing up an attempt to "system restore."  (I have not now viable 'system restore' point.)  What I have is a second file "Owner", namely: "Owner.YOUR - W92P4BHLZG".  Apparently there are still files residing on the 'Owner' orginal account, but I can't.

Here's the kicker: I found the instructions on how to get access to the files ' owner', but I must have a Windows odball version because there is no "Use Simple File Sharing" option in my options 'Advanced Settings' under "Folder Options."  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Kilpeder,

Since you have Windows XP Home Edition, you must start the computer in safe mode and try to take ownership of the file in safe mode. The option disable file sharing Simple is available in Windows XP Professional. To start the computer in safe mode, restart both computers and keep tapping the F8 key. Once you see the option to select Safe mode, select it and press ENTER.

You can access the link below and follow the steps in the article to take possession of the file or the folder on the computer.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.
