Access denied to the resmon.exe

I found an old thread about this, but apparently not resolved.
When I try to start monitoring (as an administrator), it generates an error.
"Access denied."

Hi Jennifer,.

Please answer the following questions for a better understanding of the issue:

(1) can you access other management tools as the Manager of devices without any problem?

(2) have you tried access to resource monitor using another Admin account?

I recommend you to enable the built-in Administrator account and check:

Follow these steps to enable the built-in Administrator account:

(a) press Windows + X

(b) type net user administrator / Active: Yes

(c) close the elevated command prompt.

(d) the built-in administrator will now be available to select to connect to.

(e) restart the system.

It could be useful, if you are still experiencing issues, please get back to us with the required information and the status of the issue.

Kind regards

Windows Update forum is one of the three forums that doesn't have different forums for different versions of Windows (Internet Explorer and the game are the others).  With this in mind, we ask that you postat LEAST the following information.  If you don't know how to find some of the information and then post what you can and let us know that you need help to find information.

    Minimum information to validate:
Version of Windows and Service pack level. (Windows XP Home Edition, SP3; Vista Home Premium, SP1; Windows 7 Ultimate, etc...)
Post also if you use 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows.

Update the number of the last update installed before any problem.  If you do not know the number of update, then give the date that the update has been installed.  The number of updates update failed.

Error code updates failed or if you think an update caused a blue screen, give the blue screen error codes.

    Other information to validate:
Measures already taken to correct the problem and the results of the measures.

If the question is never happened before with other updates.

A few other useful parts are:
What program antivirus you use, if it is up-to-date, and there has never been any other installed antivirus program.
If your version of Windows has been upgraded from a previous version or if it came with (or clean installed with) the version you are currently using.

  • I get an error, access denied to the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp

Original title: access denied to the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp

    Hello

I have a problem with the Windows 7 C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp temp folder. Sort randomly, I lose access to this folder, in the sense that if I open a cmd terminal and I try to cd to that folder, it gives an access denied error (at least that I start cmd as administrator). I noticed in the list of permissions on this folder does not appear the SYSTEM. I read somewhere that this is the problem, so I added back, and then it worked. Unfortunately it disappears every day the list of permissions, and I have to put in place every day which is annoying. Do you know what could cause this problem? How can I see which changes these permissions?
    Thank you

    Hi Razvan,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community

According the information you have provided, I understand that you found error access denied when using certain commands to the command prompt. I will certainly help you in this matter.

    1. have you logged as administrator?

    2. do you have an antivirus software installed?

Some commands that you run at a command prompt, you need the administrative privileges for the good functioning of Windows.

  • access denied to the combustion process

When I try to burn a disc double layer the trial started, no problem found, project size 7.9 G.

Then, during the sorting process begins: "building navigation, strengthen the system of files (sorting) and a pop lights saying"access denied"and the process hangs there.» During the editing process, I made to halfway through a test to a 4.7 G disk, and that went well spent, I burned a 4.7 G disc with some of the material.

Anyone has any suggestions that it may be. Thanks for the reply.

Begin again by a right click and choose 'run as administrator '. Try again. This version fixes a number of problems.

  • FTP error. Access denied. The file does not exist (only on the roots)?

    Having a strange problem.

I just installed CS 5.5 and got one of my sites all over the place. I can connect to my remote server very well and download to any directory other than the root?

If I do, then I get this error (see below). This happens only when I try and put the files at the root, don't know why. I tried all the little things like:

    -liability of the rocker

    -site to redefine

    .....

I can use any other FTP program and I can not put the files in the ROOT, so it's just a thing of dreamweaver 5.5. I also tried my Dreamweaver CS3 on my old mac and it works like a charm!

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

  • access denied on the C: drive due to the destruction of user name accidentally safety on the properties of the c: drive

By chance, I deleted all the names of users and groups in the security properties of the C: drive

shortly after that I tried to access the C: drive and discovered that access was limited to it.

I tried to use the Security Editor, but I'm also locked down because I don't have permission, even if I'm running the active user in administration settings.

It is very annoying because I have most of my computer files on the C: drive, and I am unable to run application shortcuts from the desktop as the directory of all the shortcuts applicaions lead on the C: drive, which is is not accessible.

So far, I tried to disabled UAC and other services concerning the name of user and groups, but also "access denied"...

I'm not able to run CMD and RUN.exe of normal mode, but I can not in safe mode with command prompt,

I therefore believe that any possible solution must be done under mode safe mode with CMD.

I also tried to follow the instructions, but I had no success because the instructions was for someone with a vista and some of the directories mentioned files there is not applicatible for Windows 7.

I heard that formatting the drive can bring back the factory settings and the previous user, but put names in form is not an option for me, I never run'ed a backup of the C: drive or its contents, thus losing all that data would be catastrophic for my financial and emotional state.

Is their way of bringing user names I have both in the security properties of the C: drive?

    Hi Xerovoid,

You can try the steps below.

    Step 1

    A. Click Start > computer

    B. right-click on the C: drive, click Properties.

    C. click on the Security tab

    D. click the Advanced button > owner > Edit

    E. make sure the replace the owner of subcontainers and objects box ischecked

    F. click apply, Ok

    G. wait until it changes ownership. (may take a while)

    H. check if the problem persists.

    Step 2

If the above does not help you solve the problem then try the system restore on your computer.

  • Access denied to the d ' training

Hi I know this has been posted often enough here, but I already tried this:

    Here you go:
    1 restart in Safe Mode.
2 log in under an administrator account.
    3. click on start
    4. type the three letters cmd and press ENTER.
    5. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
    takeown /f D:\/a r d y
    ICACLS D:\/t/c/accorder administrators: F System: F everyone: F
(Answer "Yes" when prompted "Are you sure?")

during the execution of these actions I get access denied errors config.msi and system volume information.

I can't download files on drive d or install some programms on this, but I can copy files to it very well and open the files of it. I really don't want to format this drive, if it can be avoided.

    Hello

I see that you are getting the error message access denied.

    Quick questions:

    1. Installation of operating system?
    2. Is d: drive your recovery disk?

You can click with the right button on the "run cmd.exe as Administrator" and then repeat the steps you mentioned in your post.

    Note:

The system volume information may still get access denied, which is normal. It is not recommended to change it.

  • "Access denied" for the administrator

I have only my account (like my name and "Computer administrator") and the comments "the guest account is disabled. Even with that, I get "Access denied" when I try to delete the "System Volume Information" (has two verses in the archive according to my antivirus software). What is the next step to the top of "Computer administrator" who will make me even better access. I really want to be the boss of this thing, not the tail which is moved.

System Volume Information is a protected operating system file, and users cannot remove it.  It can contain files created by System Restore .  To remove content System Volume Information , turn off System Restore , then turn on again. That will delete all restore points, then create a new one.

Note that infections in System Volume Information cannot become active and cause damage to the system unless you intentionally run the system restore and restore the system to a date and hour earlier.
