access restrictions on wag200g

I put restrictions on access by following the instructions, but they refuse to work. The firmware version is:-1.01.05, have restarted, without success. I would appreciate any assistance.           Thanks colin, (excaliber)

Thanks a lot for your help. I found the problem the mac address was not entered, so there is no way it would work (I've learned everything had been done correctly) just shows I should have checked myself.

Thanks again.  Excaliber

  • WRT610N v2 - the "Access Restrictions" menu is missing in the administration interface.

    Hello

I would like to use the features of the WRT610N v2 access restrictions. Unfortunely the menu "Access Restrictions" is missing in the admin GUI. I have all the others: ' Set - up ', 'Wireless', 'Security', storage, Applications and games, Administration, and status.

I checked the Firmware already and I use the last one that is available on the cisco web site.

I also noticed that I don't have the 'Cisco's Linksys' text in the upper left as can be read on the user guide, but only "Cisco".

    You have any clues?

Thank you very much in advance

    Hi thanks for your messages.
I found that the defender of network domestic in admin-management solved disabling my problem: I now have access to the menu acess restriction.
    Thanks again for your time.

  • WRT160Nv3 problem with blocking traffic through Access Restrictions

    Hello.

I want something very simple. Block Youtube. I go in "Access Restrictions", choose a name for the policy 1, turn it on, choose the pc in the list of pc, but then...

If a click Deny, all other options will be disabled (grayed out, do not click or write on them).

Therefore, I can't put the URL I want (youtube).

I tried to write the url with "allow" and then change to 'decline', but it crashes ALL the traffic.

    Not good.

So, how can I make a new policy just to block this URL?

Is it normal that when I click and choose "Refuse" all is disabled afterwards?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Leo

for the internet access policy DENY wants to restrict internet access for hours and days specified. This may block ALL internet traffic to the said Annex. Web site blocking of URLS, blocking by keyword and the applications would then NOT AVAILABLE as long as the computers would have access to internet at first if you have such a policy is disabled.

for your case, you can try to turn on the restriction of access to the internet to ALLOW then specify youtube.com under website by URL blocking. This would have internet access all the time (if you have the DAILY deadline), computers or during certain days and hours but do NOT have access to youtube.

  • Access to all computers, Access Restriction stops

I put the time of access restriction for my son (we have a wireless access for all systems).  I use MAC address on its systems. Xbox, Kindle Fire and his laptop.

The MAC address are Correct. Here's the problem:

I put the 'allow' and the time from 18:00 - 23:00 (all about the Christmas holidays) - the system works for awhile it is cut, as I'd like, but...

After a period of time, the whole House goes online. I have to restart put it on router e2000, then disable access restrictions. System works then. Problem is reproducible. What is the problem. I've updated the firmware already. Otherwise, the system works very well. Never dies. Just at the moment where I set access restricions for awhile he kills houese entiore. BTW I can totally deny him 24/7 and the system idsables access very well. It's just when I put a specific time. I am very frustrated.

Turning it off for an hour, did the trick. Don't know why, but its working now.  Thanks for the tip.

  • WRT54G2 Dropping connection with active Access Restrictions

Recently, we have replaced Nano from my 13 years with a key, which means that it can now access the internet from (almost) anywhere in the House.  So I did some research and found the WRT54G2 of Access Restrictions.

I got the WRT54G2 for 5 years, and it has been extremely reliable.  I'm a programmer (although, ironically, not necessarily PC-savvy!) who works full time at home, and I have no problem with the network.  But now that I have implemented Access Restrictions, he abandoned his connection once or twice a day.  So it falls, it becomes quite slow.  Once it comes down, I unplug the router, wait 60 seconds and plug back in.  Then everything works again.

I found no other people (in the forums) mention the same problem, but I hope someone can help out me.

    Access restrictions are the following:

    • Status: activate
    • Change the list of PC: IP range 01:2 ~ 254
    • Days: every day
    • Opening hours: 24 hours
    • Blocked Services: NO
    • Blocking of the website with URL: white
    • Blocking of the site by keyword: naked, nude, etc...

I have 3 polciies due to the number of keywords I am trying to block, given that each policy allows only 6 keywords.  Policies are all set to the top in the same way except, of course, the key words.

The WRT54G2 is model V1, and the version of the firmware is 1.0.01.   The upgrade of the firmware help?  Download from Linksys for model 1.0 page, says "no available firmware/driver download.

Access restrictions, "IP Range 01" should be in 100 ~ 149 instead of 2 ~ 254?  I am train to restrict our family office, my laptop, iPad and keys - anything in the House with internet access.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, I think that any other additional filtering that by default will slow down most any router. It is probably more problematic for wrt54g2 because if it is little CPU and memory.

I guess you can try to reset to the default values and reconfigure him from scratch. But still, I don't think that the wrt54g2 has a very large CPU that can handle a large number of filtering.

Maybe try a solution like Norton DNS DNS? Or open DNS? Instead of access restrictions. I don't know, I'm not real experienced with access or parental control restrictions.

  • How to set access restrictions "collision" in wrt610n - what are the preferences of rule?

Hello. I want to implement access restrictions to a MAC address (machine of my child) based on the days of the week. Su in Th allow less access time throughout the fifth - his afternoon access should arrive later. The question is how do I program in the router. I know I can set the rules with the keyword 'allow' and 'disable', but I do know not preference storage.

When I put (Su-Th-6-21) allowed the time to access and router automatically denies internet access machine set outside this interval of time then. The problem is in the power of the time who refuses so calculated. I want to give more time access at the weekend, so I was hoping if I can simply add rule ' fifth - his 6-22:30 allowed access time. I hoped that router will consider time explicitly defined in time inexplicitly set but it seems that this is not so.

Does anyone know the rules rule? What are their preferences/priorieties, iis, it is possible to stack more rules affecting a MAC address or it is so simple that the first rule "rulez"? Is it possible to put more than one rule of time touching a machine?

GV, thanks for your explanation. I would discuss only if access to equal access to the router itself and what is more, the reset action would be easily detected and can be protected physically. It is a pity however, during the router power can intestinal strategies. I like being green and I would like to physically cut access to my home network by disabling the router (even if I tried to maximize the software protection). Thanks again for your confirmation, we must only remember that it is better to use 'disable' the rule that 'allow' if the router can suffer power breaks.

    Hi all:

at the expiration of the duration of the rule. It will not apply to another rule during the series.

For example, I put up one of those computers allowed to access the internet between 07:00 ~ 11:55. This PC can access the internet after 11:55, the same I put another rule for this PC with a time of 12:00 ~ 18:00.

Is a solution for my needs.

Access Restrictions allows you to restrict Internet access on your network.  You can deny access to specific computers, block certain applications and services and block certain websites by the use of keywords or the URL at a given time.  This feature allows you to customize up to 10 different Internet access policies for personal computers, which are identified by their IP or MAC addresses.

Here is the link of Restrictions on access to application for computers: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=20b29e54474a4a17aff594cb659747ea_4041.xml&pid=80&r...

  • WRT310N Access Restriction tab

I've recently updated the firmware in my router from 1.0.04)is to the most recent 1.0.07 build 14. I felt the need to update since my router stop randomly distributed signal wireless and after a few minutes back. but this isn't the question, given that the new firmware does not (again, * fingers crossed *).

Since the update, I noticed one thing. The "restricted access" feature on the router isn't there anymore. Said live support they have never seen it happen before and directed me to the HDN stuff on the LELA software (after telling me to do the standard stuff for 5 minutes). I see the function type available out there to a more ' user-friendly '. I don't understand how the feature may not be present on the GUI main but is available through some software. I, personally cannot justify paying for the HDN stuff just for access restriction tab controls who were previously unscathed and continue to be free on all other routers, and most of the others probably not as well. But I'm curious to see if others have noticed this as well, and that throughout the community thought, that's about it.

I thought about it... I had installed LELA previously and apparently if you keep things active HND he removes the tab. With LELA installed stuff you must disable all HND stuff, then the tab back. The tab is always available by typing the link in (/ Filters.asp) directly.

And if uninstall you it, the router never gets the tab back unless you re - install then disable them stuff HND then uninstall once more.

  • Write access restriction tab missing

I'm a bit confused, I have 2 routers wireless wrtg 56 g a v 1.0 and 1.1 v or has the 'access restricted' tab is shown in the manual and nor only accpets firmmware upgrade? Seems to be a bit fraudulent to announce something that does not exist. Being that neither router has the tab I have to assume its naot just luck to programming and like I said neither router accepts a firmware. Someone else has something to add?

    Charles Congema MCSE

Can you make a screenshot of what you have on your router? Maybe you have some very old firmware running on the routers.

Also, make sure that no antivirus or Firewall interferes with the web interface of the router...

  • I can not get my work access restrictions, regardless of what I do... can help you?

I use a WRT54G Router I've had for almost two years.  It has the original firmware (v1.00.6, January 20, 2006) and worked perfectly, since I installed it.  Both of my two children (18 +) have NOW laptops, which they keep in their room, and I have problems with them staying up for most of the night on facebook or myspace, when they have to sleep.  I tried to just disable internet from 12:30 to 07:30 with access restrictions, but can't make it work little matter what I do.

I use only one policy (called nolatenights).  I checked the button and the button, left the button checked, selected the button and selected, the time from 12:30 to 07:30 as the time setting.  I tried entered the MAC addresses of the two computers and set the "IP Range" of the "102 ~ 109.  BTW, I also have the "Wireless MAC Filter" active and the value of «Authorize only the computers listed...» »

    What I am doing wrong?

  • WRT610N V2 Access restrictions & https protocol (bug?)

In case this help someone else.

I had problem creating a simple access restriction. A block of time "Daily" for a particular MAC address.

When I changed the timeslot and tried to save the change I would lose contact with the router and it would not take effect.

I have the router configured to use https. I administer it wireless using the html of Firefox on multiple computers WIndows interface.

What seems to be the problem, it's that I can't save the change to the settings in https mode. When I do that I get no confirmation that the setting has been changed and the router changes again using http - failed attempts so continued to reach over https.

Once I get enough smart to go back to the http I can access. I see that the change was not justified. The interface still has the verified https option... I have it turn off and turn on/off it turn it on again for re - perform an operation of https.

(I use the current version of the firmware of 2010)

I think you should try to reset the router and reconfigure.

You have already updated the firmware on your router.

Try re-flashing the firmware on your router. Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Download the latest firmware on your computer. Open the router configuration page and update the firmware on your router.

After upgrading the firmware of your router, it is recommended that you must reset the router and reconfigure. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure.

  • Attempts to display a map, but Eclipse invoke Access Restriction

I'm going to show a card.

For a simple test, I added this line of code:

    Invoke.invokeApplication (Invoke.APP_TYPE_MAPS, new MapsArguments());

But Eclipse do not compile it.

    Import I use is:

    Import net.rim.blackberry.api.invoke.Invoke;

Eclipse brand as a mistake and wrote:

Access restrictions: type Invoke is not accessible because of the restriction on the required c library
    \Program Files\EclipseBlackBerry\plugins
    \Net.rim.Eide.componentpack4.3.0_4.3.0.8\components\lib\net_rim_api.jar

I have signature keys and you have signed the programs successfully .cod file in Eclipse.

Advice on how to make it work?

It may have worked without seeming as if it were.

    Here is some info:

    (1) make sure you have your signing keys in the Eclipse plugin directory with the pot of consultation.  For me, it is:

    C:\Program Files\EclipseBlackBerry\plugins\net.rim.eide.componentpack4.3.0_4.3.0.8\components\bin

    (2) make sure that Eclipse is exitted.

    (3) start Eclipse and open a workspace with a Blackberry project who must sign.

    (4) don't "Project-> clean" doing 'Start a build immediately' be deselected.

    (5) ' project-> build together. "

    (6) "project-> build Blackberry Configuration Active ' (this already seems to have taken place of step 5, but just to make my repeatable steps I list here)

    (7) ' Blackberry-> request Signatures... '. "and a signature dialog box will pop up, if you don't leave eclipse as I said in step 2, you can get instead a dialog box open file for a file .cod, to match my instructions back to step 2 and exit Eclipse and continue with all the steps until you get back here.

    (8) application signatures (it will do 3 of the 6 listed points).

    (9) you are ready to debug, so run your project in the debugger and it should work (I have set Lock password, when I start debugging, Eclipse will appear a dialog box where I have to put my BB password, and if I get it wrong or close the dialog box, then I'm hosed and I must leave eclipse and start again and then when the BB Simulator starts I have to retype the word of) past).

    (10) once you are debugging, if you do leave NOT Eclipse, you can change the code and then perform steps 5, 6 and 9 to debug then (you don't need to obtain the signature done again - but if you try to log in again it will give you a dialog box asking a .cod file that you do not need to do do not.  One more thing, him debugs successive, that you just have to provide the password for the BB, I do not get a dialog of Eclipse asking for it).

    (11) If you don't never leave eclipse, I think we must return to the steps after #2 (you may be able to skip the signature again, but I have not tried yet - I don't want to ruin something that is good enough for now).

    Good luck!

  • Machine access restrictions in ACS 3.3

Can someone tell me how to implement on a device ACS 3.3 Machine access restrictions?

Machine must be a member of the domain / company before access to the wireless local area network is permitted...

    DRM

    Remco

The configuration you have the GBA:

    -Authentication verified machine

-MAR activated, i.e. you checked, 'group authentication successful without authentication card machine' to a group, generally «»

    Configuration of the client/supplicant:

-Client configured to send authentication of the computer information.

You take a computer that is part of the AD and was introduced on the network. This is the first time.

Start the computer to the top (for the first time).

Computer is configured to send credentials to the Machine, so he sends to the switch, sends switch ACS, ACS verifies whether or not the machine is a valid machine.

If this is the case, put in cache 'Calling-Station-Id' for the interval configured in this section.

(End user still cannot do anything yet, because MAR is still in process)

Computer has completed the guest of GINA.

End user presses Ctrl + Alt + Delete.

    Type username/password (first time).

Computer transmits the credentials of the user to switch, then switch to ACS, ACS gets it checked against AD.

If the user is a valid user, the user is mapped to an ACS group, according to the mapping and is in.

IF the user authentication fails, even if the computer authentication succeeded.

Now, it was one of the scenarios, other is,

Your machine is NOT part of the AD, so eventually Machine authentication will fail. Suppose that the user trying to connect in network has a name of user and password valid, but the computer using the the it is not a part of the AD.

Then, you will get an error during the machine on "supplicant" as authentication.

You cannot connect blah blah area...

But you will be allowed to provide your name of user and password combination.

Generally MAR is implemented to restrict this access, i.e. users trying to connect into the corporate network using non-active society, who are the majority of the infected by the virus at the time.

It is the point where this option comes into play,

"Group card for user authentication successful without authentication machine."

So even if the authenticated user successfully, but from the machine that is not part of the AD, the user will be mapped to the group according to the above option.

    What 'Calling-Station-Id' caching.

Even if the authentication was successful. ACS will check if the Calling-Station-Id is cached for the machine from where comes the good name of username/password? If this isn't the case, you use a wrong machine to connect to the network.
